The highly anticipated theme park originally scheduled to open this year, includes faithful re-creations of the film’s memorable haunts like Hogsmeade, Hogwart’s Castle and more, according to new details revealed this week on Universal Studio's website. The $200-million 20-acre "world" will replicate aspects of Hogsmeade village, including Ollivander's wand shop, where the wand chooses you. But how that works is anyone's guess! “It’s fantastic that people get to realize everything they have seen on screen,” Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Potter in the film series, explains in the promo video above. They’re going to be “walking into the films,” agrees Rupert Grint, who plays Potter’s pal Ron. Attractions for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter are weighted nicely between shops and rides. Zonko’s joke store sells Potter-themed tricks and gadgets, while Honeyduke’s hawks treats and sweets, and so on. On the coaster front, Dragon Challenge offers a high-speed approximation of the Triwizard Tournament, while the more family-friendly Flight of the Hippogriff gives fans small and large a ticket to ride.

There’s more, but probably not enough for Potter loyalists, whose captured imaginations have made author J.K. Rowling’s repurposed myths a brand worth $15 billion and counting. Are you one of them? Hogwarts Castle
The towers of Hogwarts Castle rise above Florida in this new photograph, released Monday by Universal Orlando. Although Universal says the castle is still “very much a work in progress,” the grand centerpiece of its Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park already looks amazing. When the park opens this spring, Hogwarts Castle will contain an attraction called Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and will overlook the town of Hogsmeade, in which you and a million other fans will be jostling for your chance to drink Butterbeer and buy Chocolate Frogs.

The centerpiece is Hogwarts castle, rising more than 150 feet and visible from beyond park boundaries. It houses Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, a "dark ride" that uses robotic arms to move passengers in various ways as they pass through scenes from the movies, says Robert Niles of industry tracker ThemeParkInsider.com. Two other rides, Dragon Challenge, a twin high-speed roller coaster, and Flight of the Hippogriff, a tamer coaster, use the core of existing attractions that have been re-themed.

Dragon Challenge
The Dragon Challenge is based on a component of the Triwizard Tournament, an event depicted in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The two sides of the Dueling Dragons attraction will be renamed as Hungarian Horntail and Chinese Fireball.

Flight of the Hippogriff
The Flight of the Hippogriff (a retheming of Flying Unicorn) is an upcoming roller coaster at the Islands of Adventure theme park. The ride will be located in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter section, and is a mild alternative to the land's more extreme rides. In fact, it is located adjacent to the very extreme Dragon Challenge roller coasters.

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is an upcoming attraction to be added to Islands of Adventure. The attraction will be a signature ride of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter area of the theme park, and will take riders through scenes and environments inspired by the various books and films of the Harry Potter series.

Hagrid's Hut
Hagrid's Hut is an upcoming attraction at Islands of Adventure. The attraction will be located in the new The Wizarding World of Harry Potter section of the park upon its opening in 2010. The attraction will be located next to the Flight of the Hippogriff roller coaster, and will be used for storage. It will be a recreation of Rubeus Hagrid's hut.

Hogwarts Express
The "Hogwarts Express" attraction seen at the far right of Hogsmeade Village. Hogwarts Express is an upcoming attraction at Islands of Adventure, to be located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter area of the theme park. The attraction is a recreation of the Hogwarts Express from the popular Harry Potter series, and it will be located at the entrance to Hogsmeade Village. It is planned to debut with the new section of the park in 2010. The only information which Universal Parks & Resorts has provided on the attraction states is "At the entrance of Hogsmeade, billowing steam and an iconic whistle signal the arrival of the Hogwarts Express into Hogsmeade station".

Ollivander's
Ollivander's is the given name for an upcoming attraction at Islands of Adventure, part of the park's new The Wizarding World of Harry Potter section. The attraction will be a recreation of Ollivander's from the Harry Potter series, and will be an interactive experience attraction using the fictional premise of "the wand chooses the wizard". Also located in the building of the attraction will be a gift shop of the same name selling recreations of wands from the Harry Potter series. It is scheduled to open in 2010. A costumed "wandkeeper," with the aid of some questions and special effects, will help shoppers find which of the 10,000 wands in stock is destined for them.

This is a listing of gift shops to open in 2010 within the new area. Expect Harry Potter merchandise to be around every corner from Quidditch equipment to Spectrespecs.

Nine Movies with Singing Throughout That are OK to Like if You’re a Dude

Real men don’t like movies with singing in them, right? Well, not necessarily. There’s a bunch of movies out there with singing throughout that are actually pretty cool. I’m not sure if they are considered “musicals” or not, but there’s no need to deal with semantics. Maybe the concept of the movie itself is great, or maybe there’s a tune or two that you can’t help but sing along to (privately, of course), but in any case, here are nine movies with singing throughout that it’s okay to like if you’re a dude:

1. Crybaby (1990)

Why It’s Cool: Johnny Depp plays a rebellious Drape, shocking and offending the Squares that live in Baltimore. It’s always fun to see a crew of rebel bad asses terrifying the uptight masses.

Best Scene: Pretty much anytime Drapes kiss each other, flailing their tongues around in each other’s mouths.

Best Song: “King Cry-Baby” - Johnny Depp channels Elvis and rocks out with a big rebel flag displayed behind him, effectively moistening various va-jay-jays in the audeience.

2. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)

Why It’s Cool: An insane barber, played by Depp, hacks and slashes his customers with a razor and turns their remains into meat pies with the help of Ms. Lovett, played by Tim Burton regular Helena Bonham Carter. Sacha Baron Cohen also appears and steals every scene he is in.

Best Scene: Todd’s murder of the corrupt Judge Turpin, played by Alan Rickman. Nice and bloody, just how I like it.

Best Song: “The Worst Pies in London” - Johnny Depp is great, but he’s not a terrific singer by any stretch. Helena Bonham Carter, though, is pretty good, and she delivers this tune quite well.

3. The Wizard of Oz (1939)

Why It’s Cool: Judy Garland teams up with a brainless scarecrow, a heartless tin man, and a cowardly lion in a quest to find the Wizard of Oz. Along the way, they encounter a city of Munchkins, flying monkeys, and a wicked witch. Groovy.

Best Scene: When the Wicked Witch of the West sends off her gang of flying monkeys. Those things are awesome.

Best Song: “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” is the most famous and memorable, but for me, nothing beats the Scarecrow spazzing to “If I Only Had a Brain.”

4. South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut (1999)

Why It’s Cool: Come on, it’s South Park. The boys try to stop the execution of Canadian stars Terrance and Phillip so that Satan (and Saddam) don’t take over the world. Also, lots of cursing.

Best Scene: Probably anytime Saddam objectifies Satan and treats him like nothing more than a big red cum dumpster.

Best Song: There’s a lot to choose from, but “Uncle Fucka” by Terrance and Phillip takes the cake.

5. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)

Why It’s Cool: This movie is Gene Wilder at his best. As Wonka, he gives a tour of his legendary chocolate factory to children who were lucky enough to find a golden ticket in the wrapper of a Wonka Bar. All the children, except for Charlie, meet horrible fates, and Wonka doesn’t really seem to give a F.

Best Scene: The terrifying ferry ride through the tunnel in Wonka’s factory.

Best Song: Spoiled Veruca Salt’s rendition of “I Want it Now.” The little bitch thinks she’s entitled to anything and everything. The Oompa-Loompas are good, but they can’t touch Veruca.

6. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Why It’s Cool: Monsters, skeletons, ghouls, and the like are brought to life via stop-motion photography, creating the surreal, creepy world of Halloween Town.

Best Scene: Jack Skellington’s climactic rescue of Sally and Santa from the evil Oogie Boogie, a charcter just slightly more offensive to blacks than Jar-Jar Binks.

Best Song: “What’s This?” which is sung by composer Danny Elfman. Talented dude, that Elfman.

7. Little Shop of Horrors (1986)

Why It’s Cool: Seymour Krelborn, in exchange for money, fame, and a chance at Audrey, feeds people to his talking, singing plant. Plants eating people = rule.

Best Scene: When masochist Arthur Denton, played by Bill Murray, reaches orgasm as a result of Orin Scrivello drilling his teeth. “You are something special! You are something special!”

Best Song: I love Steve Martin’s “Dentist,” but the recently departed Levi Stubbs’ performance of “Feed Me” is filled with soul and sets the tone for the rest of the movie.

8. The Lion King (1994)

Why It’s Cool: This movie is Disney at its finest, with great animation, voice acting, music, and even action throughout.

Best Scene: The last scene of the movie, where the mandrill Rafiki presents Simba’s newborn cub to the Pride Land for all to see.

Best Song: “Hakuna Matata,” an anthem for those who stop giving a sh*t and just want to live in the moment.

9. Grease (1978)

Why It’s Cool: High schoolers racing cars, dancing, and trying to get laid during their senior year — what’s not to like about that?

Best Scene: When Danny Zuko reunites with Sandy at a night time school event and - because he’s hanging with his boys - acts like a total dick and pretends he doesn’t really care.

Best Song: Danny and Sandy’s duet of “Summer Nights,” setting up years and years of drunk couples belting out the lyrics at Karaoke bars.

The Heroes Journey and Film

What the following movies have in common; they are the top fifteen highest grossing movies of all time.

What these movies share in common besides their popularity: All revolve around heroes and their journey. All but 4 involve epic battles between good and evil.

What these movies tell us about the collective consciousness of the majority of our human population is that the heroes journey resonates with our species. The majority among us want to see stories where heroes partake in fighting in and then ending epic battles between good and evil. What this usually entails is a massive series of unfortunate events that lead to a worst case scenario the hero must overcome. The paradox is that we want to see good defeat evil but evil is needed so that good can be tested, fight and eventually triumph in the end. The harder it is for the hero to do this, the greater the capacity of the audience to enjoy the story.

Artists are considered the myth makers of our day and thus, students of the heroes journey. In order for filmmakers to make new myths that resonate with audiences, they have to understand the subtle details that build the most attractive heroes journey, capturing the imagination of the masses. These stories tap into the human hunger for a larger purpose to life by being connected to forces greater than the self. Furthermore, ordinary people love stories of ordinary heroes becoming extraordinary. If it can happen to them, it can happen to anyone.

Some examples of unassuming and unlikely heroes from our movies: Frodo a country boy from the Lord of the Rings, Neo, an office worker in The Matrix, Luke, a farm boy in Star Wars, Ellie a loner scientist in Contact, Peter Parker, a nerd along with Harry Potter. These are ordinary characters who become extraordinary.

The heroes journey or mono myth, transcends race, economics, culture and religion. It taps into our primordial being. Theaters help facilitate this in darkness where a projector's light flickers on the screen much like our ancestors experienced the flicker of the campfire light on their faces during story telling sessions.

Story telling is an art that captures the response of our humanity to the dramas of life. This has always been the inspiration behind our movies. All over the world, there are millions of real dramas unfolding, all worthy of the theater but only need artists and story tellers to capture them in a format presentable for the big screen. Some examples of our movies inspired by real events: Malcolm X, A Beautiful Mind, Jerry Maguire, Titanic, Schindler's List, Sea Biscuit, October Sky, Amadeus, The Elephant Man, Remember the Titans, Gandhi, American Splendor, Hotel Rewanda, Antwone Fisher, Kundun, etc.

Do the highest grossing dramas we like to see on the big screen have something to do with the dramas we create for ourselves in the world? In the drama going on now, America is presented to us as hero facing a great sinister axis of evil. After viewing the devastating destruction of the World Trade Center during 9-11, many thought the news footage felt unreal; like it was just a scene from an action packed Jerry Bruckheimer movie. Are the tragedies that unfold in the world just giving us more of the same thing we like to see in our movies; a massive series of unfortunate events that lead to a worst case scenario the hero must overcome?

We are all actors in this massive cosmic drama. Our eyes are like super high definition cameras giving us a perfect seat in the everyday action of our lives. The dramas that play themselves out for us are formed by written and unwritten scripts shaped by ourselves and society. The scripts our culture have been following, are setting the stage for a great test humanity must undergo as collective hero. The full capacity of the human spirit must respond in order to avert the disaster outlined by our prophetic scripts, moving us towards a drama with a worst case scenario in our near future.

One of the most well known examples of these scripts we are taught in the west, is the Biblical paradigm. In it, the human race as we know it, is a doomed entity. The worst in our nature manifests through our reckless leaders who compel us to wage a final battle of apocalyptic and cataclysmic proportions. The only hero who saves us from ourselves is a super Jesus who returns to unite the world and establish a new kingdom of eternal peace because we utterly failed to do this on our own.

Sandra Bullock slams media for harassing stars with pregnancy queries

Late Brittany Murphy’s hubby Simon Monjack has revealed that they were thinking of having a baby.

Murphy, 32, died last Sunday due to a cardiac arrest.

There’s more to Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe’s creative aspects than just acting, the teenage heartthrob is also a published poet, it has emerged.

Four poems written by the 19-year-old actor have been published in an underground fashion magazine, under the pen name Jacob Gershon.

Radcliffe’s pseudonym— Jacob Gershon— is a combination of his middle name, and the Jewish version of his mother''s maiden name, Gresham.

But the young star disclosed the secret in an interview with the Guardian.

"I didn''t want to publish it under my name. It''s the kind of thing I look back on and just think, ''Ahhh!''” the Telegraph quoted Radcliffe as saying.

Thing was, that didn’t really kill the ghouls: having already killed in huge numbers, they had already replaced themselves many times over, so while they might have been downed, the ghouls were never really terminated, and the undead grew in strength into perpetuity.
Count Dracula (from Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Interview with the Vampire, among others)
He might be centuries old, but the horror and fear Count Dracula has on his side run much deeper than simple blood and guts; indeed, his charming persona, mysterious castle and immeasurable fortune all stand to lure his victims on a social level, then destroy them on a physical level and turn them into one of his one, a simple bite recreating even the hardiest of men into vampires needing blood to live. More than a killer, Dracula turned life itself into nothing more than a means to quench his insatiable bloodthirst.
Frankenstein (from Frankenstein and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, among others)
Dr. Frankenstein’s monster was not just a mindless creature in search of victims, but also a hapless being created without regard for consequence or the value of life; its quest for flesh could really be seen as a symbol for man’s constant search for identity and meaning in the universe. Then again, a seven-foot tall monster with green skin and bolts protruding from its neck doesn’t exactly make people want to stick around and talk about existential dilemmas. Although the original monster in Mary Shelley’s book was a poorly assembled mish-mash of spare parts, Boris Karloff’s iconic performance in the 1931 film adaptation of Frankenstein cemented the likeness of the monster in popular culture forever: large, scary, and seemingly killing without purpose—a template used time and again, and whose timelessness can be seen in the rest of this list.

Jennifer Garner's Alleged Stalker Arrested Near Violet's Nursery School

A man long accused of stalking 'Alias' star Jennifer Garner was arrested Monday for violating a restraining order after he was found creeping around the Santa Monica nursery school attended by the star's daughter, Violet Affleck.

Steven Burky was picked up around 9 a.m. after officers observed him loitering in an alley near the school, RadarOnline.com is reporting.

Garner was granted a restraining order against Burky in 2008 after she convinced a judge that he was endangering her family, which also includes husband Ben Affleck. In a declaration, Garner said the man had been stalking and harassing me" since 2002 and typically sent "packages and letters containing delusional and paranoid thoughts."

She claimed Burky was "following me around the country" and that "his obsessive and harassing behavior has escalated to the point of becoming dangerous and threatening."

Other bizarre rantings described by Garner include: "He has now shown up at my private residence and has repeatedly expressed his belief that God has sent him a vision of me being persecuted in some manner that might result in my death."

The Santa Monica Daily Press is reporting that Burky writes a blog titled Satanic Pani and asks, "Are multitudes of adults resorting to human sacrifices and then repressing this information from fear of Christ."

Burky was being held on $150,000 bail.

Sandra Bullock: Botox Overload?

Make Me Heal thinks that America’s sweetheart, Sandra Bullock, looks like she may be a little too sweet on Botox injections.

The 43-year old actress looks the same as she did over 10 years ago. She looks more like a wax figure from Madam Tussaud’s Museum than she does like a human being, capable of showing emotion, which is key to the craft of acting.

Injectable fillers like Restylane, Juvederm and Botox can plump thin lips, enhance shallow contours, soften facial creases and wrinkles, or improve the appearance of recessed scars and it looks like Sandra Bullock has been filled to the max, as she doesn’t appear to have any of the furrows on the forehead (horizontal creases on the forehead), nasolabial folds (those are the smile lines that emanate to the corner of the mouth to the edges of the nose), lipstick lines around the mouth, crow’s feet (lines that come out of the corner of eyes) that all come with aging.

According to Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California, “It is possible Sandra Bullock has had Botox. Her forehead and frown lines are smooth; her medial eyebrow is low and this is possibly due to forehead Botox.”

Her face is so wrinkle-free that it appears stiff, although Make Me Heal still thinks that Sandra is one of the prettiest actresses around. Let’s just hope that Sandra Bullock does not overdo it with the wrong plastic surgery treatment.
