PTA Meeting in University of Ibadan for the First time

University of Ibadan over the years in Nigeria University ranking repeatedly use to occupy the position of first adding to the fact that they are the premier University in the country of Nigeria.

Its founded in the year 1948, and ever since then till now, they have never seen such a moment of academic delay they are facing right now that would make the school authority call for stakeholder, parent and lecturers meeting. Literally, this is what the secondary school students would call PTA meeting.

This decision was taken by the management of the school following the students protesting over the school's decision to suspend a final year student, who was amongst those protesting over lack of basic amenities for the student (e.g water, electricity etc). The student's protest was suppose to be a peaceful one over the non availability of water and some other things but later enter a stage where the school authority had to make use of her secrete camera to get some of their faces and names. This was how the final year student got nabbed by the surveillance device used.

The student has now took to tweeter, Blackberry and whatsapp broadcast and other social medial to expressed their disappointment over the school;s decision to first close up the school and ask for a kind of PTA meeting with the student's parents.

Some of their tweets showed that the school's prestige has been drawn into the mud by the decision as their fellow colleagues in other institution has turned University Ibadan into a mockery artifact.

Yinka Ayefele's Band in Another tragic accident, claim one of the band member

Yinka Ayefele is a veteran Nigerian juju music maestro, who lives in Ibadan city of Oyo state. He lost one of his band member in an accident along Lagos-Ibadan express way.
He's known to be a musician without border which makes it the reason him and his band boys traveled to Lagos state for a musical show on Saturday, 26th March 2016, after which a tragic accident occurred on their way back to Ibadan.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Reports about this accident came in few hours after it occurred, and it all happened that the truck conveying their musical instrument was the one involved.

According to reports, the show was a success and the parking of musical instrument too was smoothly done, of which no one ever would have guessed that such a bad event would happen on their way back home.

It was also reported that, the accident occurred between the hours of 9-10pm in the evening. With less visibility on the high way, the driver reportedly ran into a port hole, and in an attempt to make a good balance of the truck, he swerved off the road and on impact, one of the band boys died instantly while ,some few others were injured.

The response of the injured few to treatment was said to be positive after they were being takn to University college hospital, UCH, Ibadan.

Ayefele himself was a victim of serious accident about 2 decades ago which led to him being handicapped on his wheel chair.

Treating Bacterial Vaginosis [BV] with Natural means and its effectiveness (HEALTH CHECK)

Bacteria Vaginosis is a weird condition or state of women's private organ which is characterized with unusual whitish or yellowish discharge during or just after sex which is followed by foul smells oozing out of the discharge or from the vagina.

What are hormones?

These are chemical messengers the brain uses to send signals to other organs and glands in the body to perform different functions.

The whole Nigeria presently is agonized due to shortage of fuel for national distribution which led to fuel scarcity in the country.

THE SIGNS and DISADVANTAGES OF FUEL SCARCITY IN NIGERIA

REASONS FOR FUEL SCARCITY IN NIGERIA

1. Importers are accused of withholding petrol because of a payment dispute with the government, which they deny :

Earlier this month, the government approved the payment of $2.1bn (£1.4bn) to the importers, or wholesale fuel sellers, to settle subsidy claims.

However, payment has been delayed because parliament has not yet approved it.

2. Nigeria is Africa's main oil exporter but imports most of its petrol because it lacks the capacity to refine it.

Life can be so frustrating and overwhelming but above all, what you need to keep your body and soul together is when you decide to always make a good positives out of nothing.
I wonder why people commits suicide, homicide and all other forms of cides. After all, there's been nothing new under heaven any longer, if Mr A can make it out of his difficult situation and Mr B is also giving testimony of how he recently make a turn around, why can't you also made up your mind knowing that killing oneself would be the answer to the problem at hand and face the challenge you are passing through till the you see the end of it.

Most times i normally take a time out to check out other people around me, behold, some are in a very good condition to mine while many much more are in a very worse condition to mine. This special analysis of oneself always gives you hope out of conditions that seem hopeless.

Never you think about yourself as a poor man or yourself as the one in that difficult situation, why not think positive always as what you think controls what happened to you in the future.

Also never run out of patience, as slow and steady wins the race of success. There is no success without a story and story always come gradually with time so as to give you a sweeter ending as you journey in to your success land.

Practicing the act of comfort once in a while would also make u accustom to life after the hustle when sucess finally comes. Thus, practicing how to live big or large would easily blend you in to the class when yo finally gets there.

LAUTECH School Area, A Perimeter of Students Robbers

Ogbomoso had several area and residential locations but the important and economically viable part of them all are the Student Area like Under-Gee, Adenike, Yoacho, Stadium etc. The issue of robbery attack on student is no Old news as students always experience it once in a while but this Semester as the students resumed, Living in student area has become a rain of terror as Robbers now own the Night while normal human beings own the day.

Activities during their robbery attack

Robbery attack within the student area wouldn't have been any issue but there few activities which occur this semester that prompt me into putting something online as regards the robbery.

1. Robbers would Confidently knock and break you door, no hastiness as they can visit any time from 7pm till dawn.

2. Robber if the hostel they are visiting is Mixed, the would ask Female and Male Student to off their clothes after robbing them off their money and belongings and ask them to start having sex as they watch and sometimes record them on phone.

3. Robbers would attack anyone that tend to stop them violently, which can lead to the person being hospitalised.

4. Robbers also use to Rape ladies that are beautiful and forcefully make them to do different styles and rubbish during their evil acts. etc

This are just few amongst many acts from these men at Night as Students living in these environments are living with fear.

The Police force in Ogbomoso has risen to the task as they announce to the student in class rooms that 9pm is ultimatum for students to move around the school area as it ends by 6am in the morning.

SUG SAYS NO TO ROBBERY AND ALL FORMS OF INTIMIDATION 01-Oct-2015
It is very sadonic and lugubrious the incessant robbery in school area persists despite all efforts being made by the SUG selfless sacrificing regime. A recent robbery happen in underG area yesterday at about 9:45pm till midnight. Four different hostels were victims. Information reached the SUG president (HON.SOLACE) and SARS via the P.R.O of the union.Swift action was taken by both teams to curb the uncivic act without delay. Exams Malpractices, A way to a Faulty Foundation [HAVE YOU EVER CHEATED?]

Educational Corruption is tantamount to a Faulty National Foundation. This principle was not Observed as Six female students of Delta State University, Abraka, one of them a final year student, were shamelessly caught with “expo materials” during their final examination.

Olufamous.com wrote about an examiner identified as Sylvester Okiemute who caught a final year female student of the Department of Library and Information Science with incriminating materials during an examination.

Sources said the student was caught while sitting for an exam on ‘Entrepreneurship and Information Services’ by the examiner who had been observing her suspicious moves.

It was gathered that the examiner, convinced that the student was making reference to a paper smuggled in, he asked her to hand over the paper. The girl denied and that led to a shouting match between the examiner and the student.

To the surprise of most of those present, the examiner dipped his hands into her private part and recovered the incriminating materials.

A source, who narrated the incident, said this same female student was earlier caught by another examiner and she pleaded with the examiner, who later pardoned her.

He pardoned her gave her another booklet to start over again, but she was caught again, 45 minutes later.

Confirming the incident, the university Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Victor Peretomode, said the university had declared total war on illegality and examination malpractices.

Peretomode warned that any student found involved in exam malpractices would be shown the way out.

EXAMS MALPRACTICES AND YOUNG GENERATIONS

But come to think of it, these younger generation are the people we call leaders of tomorrow, if cheating in this kind of manner in order to pass is what they could do, then something is WRONG with the FUTURE of Nigeria.

The wedding ceremony between Olufemi Samuel Taiwo and Grace Taiwo which took place at the Tafo arena close to WAEC head office in Ibadan led to another fruithful hook and marriage proposal, which actually swept about 2000 people in attendant off their feet and make ladies scream, occurred between Ademola ( Femi’s Best Man ) and his fiancee which happened to be one of the bridal train (she never knew anything about the whole Plan).

Ademola took everybody by surprise as he was called on stage to give a toast about the newly wedded couples but instead of doing what he was sent, he begged the whole crowd to scream the name of his fiancé that shes needed out there on the stage as he knelt down to make his request.

Nevertheless, People still thought he was joking until he reach out for a ring in his pocket, and made the marriage proposals in front of like 2000 people.

The most amazing thing is that, he didn’t made his own like his friend did in a restaurant nor lik some other people use to do in a café. He made it look like an event in Another event and the whole place went so boisterous with noise of ladies crying and screaming.

EFFECTS OF TELECOM MAST TO HEALTH

The increasing need for functional telecommunication networks to service the desires and need of the teeming users for effective communication and the use of mobile phones has increased dramatically over the last decade. Wireless digital telecommunications, the internet and information-communication technology have revolutionized the world and the impact of information technology (IT) has been felt in all economic and social activities in every conceivable manner.

With diverse positive effects of having a telecommunication masts around human habitats which includes strong radio signals, better phone performance, speed internet connections etc some people have been nturing the rumour about the telcom mast posing a serious threat to people that site their habour around it.

Mr Joseph Kwabena Amoako, Research Scientist of Radiation Protection Institute of Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC), explained that radiation emitted from antennas of erected masts as well as radios and televisions were too weak to cause any health problem to people.

He was speaking at a workshop organised by Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications to inform and sensitise the public on electromagnetic field of exposure in Ghana.

Mr Amoako said the perception that masts sited within communities caused cancer to people; was untenable because ionisation (energy) emitted from tall towers could not result in that.

He indicated that "unless one could climb that tall tower and touch the antennae before one could be exposed to the radiation that could be harmful".

However, Mr Amoako advised that authorities concerned should ensure early implementation of draft guidelines on siting of masts to allay fears and assured the people that operators were doing the right thing that could not compromise with their health.

Dr Jack Rowley, Director, Research and Sustainability, GSMA, an international trade association for mobile industry, said recent World Health Organisation (WHO) studies had proven that mobile phones had no cognitive effect on people neither did it have any long term cancer on animals.

He advised against the siting of antennas on high rise buildings to avoid the situation where masts had been scattered all around the city.

The Director of Europe, Middle East and Africa Mobile Manufacturers Forum,   Mr Thomas Barmuller stressed the need to adopt and implement the guidelines of International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection, which many countries including China, Russia, India, Tanzania

and Rwanda had adopted to streamline the activities of telecommunication operators.

The Minister of Communications, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu stressed that there was no available basis for fears being expressed by Ghanaians on health hazards of masts and that GIFEC owed Ghanaians that explanation on potential health hazards if any.

He announced that the ban on siting of masts in Ghana had been lifted and Cabinet would soon discuss new telecommunication guidelines to ensure smooth operations.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) had also debunked claims that masts and towers are harmful and could cause serious health problems.

Speaking at a town hall meeting in Kaduna yesterday, Deputy Director, Consumer Affairs of NCC, Femi Atoyebi, said it important to disabuse peoples' minds on the negative insinuations about telecom masts and towers, insisting that they are not harmful.

"The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) wishes to educate and enlighten the general public on the functionality of the telecom mast and towers and to also disabuse the minds of people that they have negative effect on human health. This is not true. Even the World Health Organization has given its position on the issue of masts and towers and their clear verdict as at today is that they are not harmful to human health. The consumer affairs bureau of the NCC has been inundated with questions regarding telecom masts and towers and their impact on health. That is why we are taking this bold step in going out to educate the general public and give them relevant information. The NCC is a responsible organization and it will not preside over an industry that will cause harm to the general public," he said.

He added that masts are part of telecommunication infrastructure and should be protected by everybody, irrespective of the service provider you subscribe to.

The deputy director however warned that a parameter of ten meters should be maintained between any telecom mast/tower or base station and the nearest habitable building or area so that the people will not be affected by smoke, noise and vibration from the generating set.

He called on the people to report cases of vandalism of telecom infrastructure to security agencies and relevant authorities because the telecom infrastructure is key to national development and should be protected by all and sundry.

On the complaints of poor services provided by operators, Atoyebi said the NCC is out to ensure quality service and will do all it can to make sure that customers get value for their money.

"One of our regulations called Quality of Service, which stipulates all the dos and don'ts for service providers and other stakeholders is meant to ensure that they do the right thing so that Nigerians can get value for their money.

"Let us not also forget however that the service providers also have their challenges which include epileptic power supply, vandalism, multiple taxation and multiple regulations. We are aware of these and the several other challenges they have. But again, that cannot make them to compromise quality," he said.

Performing traditional festivals and rites in Africa had been on a low form as very few places in Africa still feels its a means of tourist attraction even in Nigeria. In Nigeria the traditional celebrations and the town that still perform these festivals includes Ojude Oba in Ijebu land, Osun Osogbo in Osogbo etc but one of them that walks with the rainy season is the celebration of the goddess of the river Osun in Osun state Nigeria, called "Osun Osogbo Festival".
This Festival on Aug. 21, would reach its peak as devotees of Osun goddess, tourists, cultural enthusiasts and indigenes, celebrate the grand finale of the Osun-Osogbo festival.

The 2015 edition began on Aug. 11 with the clearing of the traditional paths called “Iwo Popo’’.

The grand finale will witness a votary maid (Arugba Osun), going to the river with a calabash filled with antiquities to worship the goddess of the river on Aug. 21.

Osogbo town and the Palace of Ataoja of Osogbo had been bustling with activities in preparation for the grand finale of the Osun-Osogbo festival.

A trader in Osogbo, Mr Tunde Akinboboye, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that “he makes more money during the period with his colleagues’’.

He said he made the money from tourists who come to Osogbo to witness the Arugba Osun as she goes to the groove on Aug. 21.

Mr Victor Remilekun, a staff of Gani Olaoluwa Hotel, told NAN that hotels in Osogbo were fully booked.

He said tourists from other countries and government officials across the country had booked almost every hotel in the town including theirs.

He also said the event would add value to the socio-economy lives of the people as tourists and people from other states and countries troop into Osun.

“I know the activities will create avenue for informal workers to make money during the festival,’’ Remilekun said.

A security operative, Mr Fagboyinbo Abiodun, in Dada Estate in Osogbo, told NAN that the police had set up a 24 hour surveillance before, during and after the Osun-Osogbo festival.

According to him, everything is in top gear and security personnel will be dispatched to every nook and cranny of the groove and the entire state to fight crime. He advised criminals to flee the state.

Impacts of Sex on your Brain and its Effects on Long term Relationships

In recent times people always think having several training and activities including computerized means of getting our brain smarter is the only way to get smarter but recent researches have concluded that having sex could also make one smarter than before, as it would lead to production of brain cells and keeping the old ones alive and functioning involves learning more than what you know before.

Researchers in Maryland and South Korea recently found that sexual activity in mice and rats improves mental performance and increases neurogenesis (the production of new neurons) in the hippocampus, where long-term memories are formed.

In April 2014, a team from the University of Maryland reported that middle-aged rats permitted to engage in sex showed signs of improved cognitive function and hippocampal function. In November, a group from Konkuk University in Seoul concluded that sexual activity counteracts the memory-robbing effects of chronic stress in mice. “Sexual interaction could be helpful,” they wrote, “for buffering adult hippocampal neurogenesis and recognition memory function against the suppressive actions of chronic stress.”

EFFECTS OF PORNOGRAPHY ON BRAIN

Neuroscientists from the University of Texas recently argued that excessive porn viewing, like other addictions, can result in permanent “anatomical and pathological” changes to the brain. That view, however, was quickly challenged in a rebuttal from researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, who said that the Texans
"offered little, if any, convincing evidence to support their perspectives. Instead, excessive liberties and misleading interpretations of neuroscience research are used to assert that excessive pornography consumption causes brain damage."

Whether or not porn "addiction" literally damages the brain, even brief viewing of pornographic images does interfere with people’s “working memory”—the ability to mentally juggle and pay attention to multiple items. A study published last October in the Journal of Sex Research tested the working memory of 28 healthy individuals when they were asked to keep track of neutral, negative, positive, or pornographic stimuli.
“Results revealed worse working memory performance in the pornographic picture condition,” concluded Matthias Brand, head of the cognitive psychology department at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany.

One myth about sex is that “testosterone poisoning” makes young men stupid. Actually, a 2007 study in the journal Neuropsychological measured the level of testosterone in the saliva of prepubertal boys, including some who were intellectually gifted, with an IQ above 130, some who were average, and some who were mentally challenged, with an IQ less than 70. They concluded that “boys of average intelligence had significantly higher testosterone levels than both mentally challenged and intellectually gifted boys, with the latter two groups showing no significant difference between each other.”

But if having sex can make people smarter, the converse is not true: being smarter does not mean you’ll have more sex. Smarter teens, in fact, tend to delay their initiation of coital activities. A 2012 study by researchers at the University of Pennsylvania found that high working memory decreases the likelihood of early adolescent sexual debut. some researchers have attributed the delay to greater overall “competence” among smarter teens. But a 2010 study found that adolescents at both the upper and lower ends of the intelligence distribution were less likely to have sex. Most recently, a study of 536 same sex twin-pair concluded that intelligence may be a red herring: the association is really between school achievement, not IQ per se, and age at first sexual experience.

In old age, too, cognitive abilities affect one’s chances of getting lucky. Relationships and sex according to some people are different thing and they dont work hand in hand. But according to science works, Sex enhance effectiveness of being bonded more in any relationship.

Working together, the two hormones and one chemical produced by the human body during sex helps to bond a man and a woman together for long-term relationship.

"When someone is involved sexually it makes them want to repeat that act. Their brain produces lots of Dopamine – a powerful chemical, which is compared to heroin on the brain. Dopamine is your internal pleasure/reward system. When Dopamine is involved, it changes how we remember," notes a Conquer Series report.

Oxytocin, a hormone produced primarily in women's bodies, helps women become bonded to the object of her affection. "When a woman has a child and she is breastfeeding, she produces lots of Oxytocin, which bonds her to her child. For this reason mothers will die for their child, because they've become emotionally bonded due to the Oxytocin that is released when they're skin-to-skin with their child," explains the report.

So when a woman becomes intimate with a man, her body also releases Oxytocin and she becomes emotionally bonded to him. "Have you wondered sometimes why a woman will stay with a man who's abusing her? We know now, it's because she bonds to him emotionally, because of the Oxytocin release during sex," the report said.

Also referred to as the "monogamy hormone," men produce Vasopressin which serves the same purpose as Oxytocin. "It bonds a man to a woman," according to the report.

But while these "bonding" agents are great for marriage relationships, they don't work so well for dating relationships because "you lose your objectivity when you're searching for your potential life mate."

According to neuropsychologist Dr. Tim Jennings in the Conquer Series report: "When you have premarital sex, your reward circuitry is bonded to them now, and it will be much deeper and hurtful. Oftentimes, in breakups of people who've been sexually active, they can't tolerate the sense of emptiness, so they rush into another relationship. The neuro circuits did not have time to reset, and so they're impaired in their ability to bond with the next person, and they may become sexually active with them. This is just a repetitive cycle, and there are real impairments in bonding going on."

"Knowing how these neurochemicals interact and change the brain help us understand why sex is meant [to be kept] within the boundaries of marriage," the reported noted.

OYO TO OGBOMSHO, ILORIN TO MOKWA A ROUTE WITH HIGH ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE BUT LESS RECOGNITION AND MAINTENANCE

When talking about bribery and corruption, Road construction and maintenance is one of the channel where any Government or president can easily claim any amount as quotations from contractors over a kilometer varies. There ought to be some road network which Gov officials are suppose to take so serious and work upon, road linking Oyo town to Ogbomosho and Jebba to Mokwa happens to be one those roads that are of high economic value yet badly maintained.

OYO TO OGBOMOSHO ROAD

One of the Road where i considered important but less work has been done on it is the road linking Oyo to Ogbomosho. This route had claim several lives in the past and its still claiming and this would never stop until the Federal Govt finds a lasting solution to it by finishing the road network that serves as an alternative between Oyo and Ogbomosho, a two way express way that its construction was started around year 2000 and 16 years later its still on hold.

One of the great accident that ever occurred on that road was when a trailer with full load of goods which i believed its being transported to the Northern part of the Country, had a failed break system and several lives in like four buses all perish. accident like this don't just happened without any aftermath delay which could cause a grid lock for as far as 100km in-between Oyo and Ogbomosho.

Just last week Friday, similar event occurred along the road that led to freight transports and cars being on hold for a whole day and the grid lock was from Odo-Oba to Ajaawa, distance that is more than 100km.

Looking at the shape of the road itself, due to long hold ups and break down of trailers on the road, pot holes have so much turned the road into accident trap. Trailers dodging pot holes running into cars, cars losing the wheels after jumping into the holes, car tires busting after a car running into the hole etc all these are results of having a deadly pot holes in a road network.

ILORIN TO MOKWA ROAD NETWORK

Another road network that is very important to the Nigerian Economy and they failed to re-construct is the road network between Ilorin and Mokwa, with Jebba road network being the most damaged road network in Nigeria where Armed robbers do operate at night and trailers tumble in the day.

Moreover, this particular road did not leave the major link between North and West, which is River Niger bridge. The bridge, i believed would give way for a trailer into the river if care is not taken.

Over 30km of this network had been greatly damaged and its a road that is of great economic importance, as major goods and PMS (petrol) that moves from Lagos into the Northern Part of Nigeria, passes through this road network.

IMPORTANCE OF THE OYO TO OGBOMOSHO AND ILORIN TO MOKWA ROAD

1. Its a major link between west and North-west
2. Its the major route for goods and Petroleum products
3. It would increase the GDP of Nigeria if its properly maintained
4. Its a means to reduce road accident if its properly maintained.

Nigerian Society of Engineers inaugurates a branch in OGBOMOSO

The Nigerian Society of Engineers on Wednesday 15^th July, 2015, inaugurates another branch in the ancient city of Ogbomosho as part of her duty to enhance the development of the members professionally and to also enhance the Ogbomosho city and Nigeria as a whole.

The ceremony which was Chairman by the National president of NSE, in the person of ENGR. ADEMOLA ISAAC OLRUNFEMI (FNSE, FNATE, JP) was held at the banquet hall, progressive co-op complex LAUTECH Ogbomosho. He said in his statement that the branch would bring about enlargement of the society as they would also be birthing some fresh engineers soon and also he mentioned Nigerian effort on speed train and some other new technologies to be launched in Nigeria and he prayed the new branch be of good help to the development of the nation.

How to Sustain and Maintain a Relationship

What is a Relationship?

This is refer to as the deep link that exist between two or more people which makes them to assist each other without barriers. Having an affair with someone can not be likened to having a relationship with the person, as an affair can always be just sex or emotions with no benefits or with some barriers.

Who can one have a relationship with?

This can occur between families, groups, classes, organization, couples, churches, mosques, teams, customer and an Organization etc. Most people always refer to the one between couples as relationship and makes all others looks less of it. But, if theres no mutual relationship between all others, communication processes would be destroy and interactions would seem difficult.

Stages of Relationship

1. Primary stage
2. secondary stage

1. PRIMARY STAGE

This is a stage where every member or relations existing in a relationship gets to meet. Here, the parties involved would seemingly not understand each other and little agitation or quarrel would always occur. This stage is always necessary because it leads to the secondary stage where maintenance of the relationship is highly needed.
At this stage, there would always be barriers and limitation, its also a trust building process, rules and laws would be broken and a stage of total endurance.

2. SECONDARY STAGE

At this stage i assume that the parties involved had taken all the necessary endurance processes and amend their ways after breaking the laws and rules involve in the tie within the team, organization, families or friends. What really matters at this stage is how to sustain, maintain and attain a greater level in the relationship, so that when one party act, all others involved would know what to do to appease him or her and issue of disparity would be solved.
Anyone involved at this secondary stage is considered a patient fellow as he or she would have passed ANGER TEST and could also resolve any quarrel issue quickly.

How to Maintain a Relationship

Maintaining a relationship largely depends on how you have passed your primary stages and how well you are doing in your secondary stage. But, there are few steps that could help in maintaining your relationship, either with a customer or with your team mate or with your spouse.

1. Always take your time to study your partner as it would give you much knowledge on how to maintain the relationship.

2. Ensure you can know a cause of an act before you react and if you eventually suddenly pro-act, always find a quick means of resolving the issue either by cracking a joke or buying the person a gift. As war is easy to start, if not quickly put out, its very difficult to extinguish.

3. Take your time to still investigate your parties involved in the relationship. because living with someone for 70 years doesn't mean you've known him or her to the last act. Human beings changes and grow by day, as we continue to metamorphosize.

4. Forgive easily

5. Take a blame if necessary and don't forget to correct other parties when the temper has calm down.

6. Always take part in any activities even you are angry.

7. The parties involved should not feel too big to say sorry.

The University of Ibadan, best in Nigeria , 8th in Africa from Journals consortium Rankings

The ranking of Universities and higher institutions in the year 2015 was released last week and it comes out that University of Ibadan Nigeria, ranked 8th in Africa and 1st in Nigeria.

The Ranking was conducted by The Journals Consortium, which involved 1,447 African universities and higher institutions.

The focus of the ranking was on research publications, citations from the last five years and visibility on the Internet.

Ranking as it goes:

South African institutions dominated the top 10 in the ranking, with the University of Cape Town coming first, garnering 45.02 points.

Cairo University, with 43.43 points, came second while the University of Pretoria, South Africa, came third.

In all, South Africa has six institutions in the top 10 while Egypt has two.

Nigeria and Kenya have one university each in the first top 10 positions.

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka was ranked second in Nigeria and 13th in Africa while the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, was ranked 18th in Africa.

The University of Lagos ranked 20th on the table, while the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, ranked 24th.

The only private institution from Nigeria on the table is Covenant University which ranked 53rd on the continent.

The UI Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Adewole, in his reaction to the ranking, said the vision of the university, was for it to be a centre for academic excellence.

He said the school would not relax in its contributions to research, teaching and other academic activities. As reported by Punch

University of Ibadan Nigeria Vice Chancellorship between 12 profs, one external candidate

Following the great job carried out by the present out-going Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, 12 Professors are reportedly jostling for the job, of which one of them happened not to come from this great institution.
The out-going VC's works and reputation precedes him, as he maintain the standards set for the institution by his successor and even perform better in bringing some old artifacts and buildings to a modern form, solidifying the security sect, etc.
The five year tenure of the present Vice-chancellor, Prof. Isaac Adewole expires in November 2015, which stir up the setting up of a committee, that was made up of all the representatives of the unions on campus including the Students’ Union Government about two weeks ago.

Scientist prove the impossible, says there is Life after Death

After much controversy from several believes, religions and ethics, scientist finally concur to a certain believe that says life do exist after death.

A group of psychologists and medical doctors associated with the Technische Universität of Berlin, in their final report, announced on Saturday July 4, 2015 morning that they have proven, through clinical experimentation, the existence of some form of life after death.

Their discovery, according to the team of scientists led by Dr Berthold Ackermann, was based on the conclusions of a study using a new type of medically supervised near-death experiences, which allow patients to be clinically dead for almost 20 minutes before being brought back to life.

THE PROCESS OF NEAR DEATH EXPERIMENT

This controversial process that was repeated on 944 volunteers over that last four years, necessitates a complex mixture of drugs including epinephrine and dimethyltryptamine, destined to allow the body to survive the state of clinical death and the reanimation process without damage.

The body of the subject was then put into a temporary comatic state induced by a mixture of other drugs which had to be filtered by ozone from his blood during the reanimation process 18 minutes later.

The extremely long duration of the experience was only recently made possible by the development of a new cardiopulmonary recitation (CPR) machine called the AutoPulse. This type of equipment has already been used over the last few years, to reanimate people who had been dead for somewhere between 40 minutes to an hour.

Near-death experiences have been hypothesized in various medical journals in the past, as having the characteristics of hallucinations, but Dr Ackermann and his team, on the contrary, consider them as evidence for the existence of the afterlife and of a form of dualism between mind and body.

RESULTS OF THE EXPERIMENT

The team monitored the operations and compiled the testimonies of the subjects. Although there are some slight variations from one individual to another, all of the subjects have some memories of their period of clinical death. and a vast majority of them described some very similar sensations.

Most common memories include a feeling of detachment from the body, feelings of levitation, total serenity, security, warmth, the experience of absolute dissolution, and the presence of an overwhelming light.

The scientists say that they are well aware the many of their conclusions could shock a lot of people, like the fact that the religious beliefs of the various subjects seems to have held no incidence at all, on the sensations and experiences that they described at the end of the experiment.

Indeed, the volunteers counted in their ranks some members are a variety of Christian churches, Muslims, Jews, Hindus and atheists.

CONCLUSION

“I know our results could disturb the beliefs of many people” says Ackermann. “But in a way, we have just answered one of the greatest questions in the history of mankind, so I hope these people will be able to forgive us. Yes, there is life after death and it looks like this applies to everyone". As reported by daily independent Nigeria.
