Samoa skips Friday

2011-12-28T14:28:00.000-05:00

If you could skip any day of the week, which one would you? I bet most would say Monday. However, in Samoa the Government has decided to get rid of Friday. Samoa mainly does business with New Zealand and Australia and they miss out on two business days of each week. When its Friday in Samoa, its Saturday in Australia and New Zealand. Likewise, when it's Monday in Australia and New Zealand, it's Sunday in Samoa. It is good for business, but one has to wonder though, did they really have to kill Friday

Stephen Colbert's South Carolina Serious Classy Republican Debate

2011-12-25T16:15:00.000-05:00

Just posting this in case you haven't heard already. In response to Donald Trump announcing he was going to moderate a debate, Comedian Stephen T Colbert declared he would have a "serious classy republican debate" as well. Now that Trump has announced that he won't be moderating, Colbert is picking up the slack. Currently, he has two Networks vying to host his debate, Nat Geo Wild and Animal Planet. Nat Geo Wild would have Colbert hosting with Cesar Millan, the Dog Whisper. They're also pulling out their lion humping footage to show their seriousness. However, Animal Planet proclaimed that they would rename their channel to "Colbert Planet" during the debate. Colbert still hasn't chosen a date and the show is in hiatus for the holidays. Whatever channel and date Colbert chooses, this is going to be a truly primal classy debate.

No Newt(or Rick) in Virginia

2011-12-25T11:05:00.000-05:00

Both former Speaker Newt Gingrich and Governor Rick Perry have failed to obtain 10,000 registered voter signatures for Virginia Primaries. This means neither candidate will be able to run in this state. Gingrich campaign has said they will attempt a write in campaign. However, Virginia laws do not allow for this. Once again Gingrich has slipped and one has to wonder if he cares more about selling his 'products' then his campaign.

In other news, the Iowa Caucus is just around the corner and polls are favoring Ron Paul. He and Former Governor Mitt Romney will be on the Virginia Primaries. Of course I'm still hoping citizens will learn Buddy Roemer exists..

Dragon Age Asunder

2011-12-25T03:23:00.000-05:00

I just finished reading Dragon Age Asunder by David Gaider. It tells the story after the fall of Kirkwall's Circle of Magi and how it lead to the other circles renouncing the Chantry. Old favorites appear in this story from Wynne, the old healer mage, and Shale, a stone golem, to a certain Shoe-loving Bard. A must read for any Dragon Age fan!
