I threw together a good crockpot recipe and thought I would share it with all of you. I never even thought to take a picture of it! I will repost with a pic the next time I make it.

I found boneless, skinless chicken thighs marked down at Walmart and purchased two packages. Before work I seasoned them with a couple seasonings bought from a fantastic place called The Spice House. I used Ozark Fried Chicken Seasoning and Hyde Park Seasoning.

I browned them in an oblong slow cooker like this West Bend 84905 5-Quart Oblong-Shaped Slow Cooker

I love being able to brown things on the stovetop and then place it on the hotplate to cook while at work.
I think it gives the food a richer flavor!

Here is My Personal Review:
I'm typically a bargain shopper. I had read reviews about this boot on another site and decided to give them a try even though this price range was way beyond my budget. I'm glad I did! We had our first snow this morning. I put these boots on to clean off the truck. I took the dogs out for a walk. I stood outside as My Guy shoveled the drive-way. My feet never got cold!

These boots are true to size and very comfortable! Walking in them was not the same experience I have had with other boots. I just cannot stress enough the comfort of these boots. I am a little bit over weight but do not consider my calves to be large. I was able to put my jeans inside my boots and zip them up with no extra effort. The zipper is on a slight angle, and I think it makes the boot easier to zip and unzip.

The price: worth having warm, dry feet along with comfort!

I follow a FB page called Gizmodo. They compared and reviewed four speaker systems for the iPhone and iPod. This is the "winner" out of the four that they reviewed. It is ON SALE and you can still get it by Christmas!

Here is a little information that they mentioned:

Make your life a little easier in the "Soggy Season"!

It's been raining here in south east Kansas for several days now. My yard is soggy!

I'm trying to train my three legged dog to wipe his feet. Ha! He minds pretty good so I get him to turn around on the rug to get some of the water and mud off before he goes galloping through the house. I think this might be a good product to keep inside my back door!

Great Gift for people with a fireplace!

This is what I just ordered for my dad; which is in his 70s. He has recently put a nice insert in their fireplace and bought a log splitter. The wood is behind the house and he has been hauling it to the side porch in a wheel barrel. I think he will enjoy using this Log Caddy. It will be easier to maneuver without logs shifting and possibly toppling over --especially in the snow. AND, I think he can just pull it up the porch steps to his smaller wood pile on the covered porch.

Keeping the cats and the pipes warm this winter!

I care for MANY cats. During inclement weather more of them want to be inside nearly full time. My heart is too big to say no; therefore, I have more cleaning to do on a daily basis. I have to make some changes to accommodate for my Chronic Pain!

I have given the cats my garage to stay in, but it's still very cold in there in the dead of winter. I'm considering buying the heater below to take the chill off the garage --hoping that they will be more inclined to take refuge there and decrease the amount of cleaning I have to do.

I'm also contemplating building "condos" to attach to a new wall I built in the garage; an interior wall adjacent to my bathroom. Yeah, the things I do for my "furry children"!

EL1030A Ergorapido Ion Bagless Cordless Stick and Hand Vac

I was going to purchase a cheaper "stick vac" but after looking over more makes & models, I saw a review about a woman claiming to be the "Queen of Stick Vacs" and having toddlers and cats. Since I am "over run with animals", I have decided on purchasing this model. At work, my aunt has two Himalayan cats. We have purchased several stick vacs for daily use. She won't spend much money on this type of product. I will test this out in my home to see if it is worth convincing her to spend more money on keeping the house and office cleaner with less work for me - since I am the caretaker and cleaner of cat hair! =)

Product Description Temperature-controlled cable runs straight along pipe and valves, held in place by application tape and plugs into grounded electrical outlet. Keeps water flowing down to -380. My thoughts on this product
I'm a little confused about what temperatures this keeps pipes from freezing due to the conflicting info listed above. I still plan on considering this item. I plan on drilling a hole through the floor under the kitchen sink. I have an electric outlet there for my DW & garbage disposal. I can then run this all the way to the front of the house. I will order a shorter one to plug into my attached garage and run under the bathroom that is adjacent.

AAA 4002 Yellow Aluminum Sport Utility Shovel This shovel comes in different colors (with slight price differences). This is the color I am considering buying. Yellow is a Safety color, and I think it would be easier to see in dark spaces of a vehicle.

Out of 18 reviews, 14 were 5 stars and 4 were 4 stars. Reviewers state this is good for cutting into snow and ice. They also state that it is especially nice to keep in a vehicle due to it's compact size. The handle is adjustable from 25 to 32 inches and it can be broken down into three pieces if needed - nice for compact cars or traveling with a full load.

I am short and need an extended handle. I had been looking at the Sno Brum Original Snow Removal Tool with Telescoping Handlebut I am not convinced by the mixed reviews. I'm a worrier! I've had some problems with the flashers not working properly on my Mustang. I'm considering buying two of these units now that I have two vehicles. If my son has any problems in the Mustang, I want to be sure he has adequate safety features to get help if needed. If I were to run off into a ditch in my white blazer (in snow) this would be a helpful aid. Out of 10 reviews, seven are 5 star and three are 4 star. This is the best one I have found so far and at a fair price in my opinion.
