I remember making my parents let me watch the opening to 'Mystery!' on PBS as a kid. Now every time I see an Edward Gorey image, the theme song plays instantly in my mind. For many, the opening 'Mystery!' animation is the only insight they have to Gorey's art; assuming they know he did it! His work is extremely influential to say the least.
