I'd say 2011 was rather short compare to any other years. It started off pretty bad. Everything seemed uncertain, like I could not find a definite answer for every question that I had in my head. Still, what comes around, goes around. I might not get the answers for everything that has happened but I'd definitely realize it one day. All in all, it has been an amazing year meeting new people from all around the world. I know this is going to be a nostalgic post reflecting on all the good times I had throughout the year. Whichever things I did, I didnt do it with an expectation but it always turned out to be meaningful and memorable events. I know I havent been spending my time on facebook, blog and forums. Truth to be told, I spent more time meeting my friends who mean the whole world to me. I enjoyed going to all the international conferences as they have given me fascinating insights into the world we are living. It had changed my perception of seeing the world. We can never understand the universe completely but it is always more important to understand who you are to the world and how much you have paid back to all the lil' things that you have taken from the universe. If you realize, you can still survive without having a single cent in your bank account as all your basic needs are supplied by your parents, your food and shelter. And your friends and acquaintances, they come by free. Do you have to take it for granted? I can easily make new friends at any stage of my life but the close friends will always stay by your side. They will still be the same even after years. Again, I cant afford to lose any good friends, I want each of them to stay by my side through ups and downs. Not just that, but they are constantly amusing.

They do tricks not to show-off their abilities but to make you laugh.

I can joke with them to no extents.

My unbiological sister who has never turned her back on me.

In the past 12 months, God's blessed me with so many things and I'm grateful for that.

Aladdin the Musical at Sunway Lagoon

That's right! The title says it all. Sunway Lagoon Production team is here again to bring you another musical theatre. ARE YOU EXCITED YET?

I'm excited as much as you are! Aladdin has been my childhood movie / bed-time story. The story of this old Arabic story is still vivid in my mind. It's an adventurous story of Aladdin going to a cave with a stranger(the magician) and how he found the lamp and by rubbing the lamp it actually fulfilled a couple of his wishes!
You want to know what are the wishes? How he found the magic lamp?
Catch Aladdin the Musical inspired by the best of West End and Broadway, presented to you by Sunway Lagoon! The grand premier of this Arabian Night is set on 25th of November at Amphitheatre of Sunway Lagoon.
This musical show will be playing once a day commencing on 25th of November till 2nd of January 2012. The ticket prices for the musical range from RM100-300. For kids 12& below, the ticket price is RM50. (Pls take note that there is no show on Tuesday)

Black is Back with Arthur’s Day 2011

It's exactly a year now since last year Arthur's Day celebration. Since 2009, it has been celebrated worldwide every year at around end of September. In case you don't know, Guinness is one of the most successful beer brands in every part of the world. Thanks to the successful Irish brewer, most of the people can enjoy every sip of Guinness with family and friends.
So, the annual Arthur's Day 2011 is back!! It's 24 hours of global celebration and we are proud to be the last country to end the Arthur's Day celebration with great music. Taste Of Foochow.

Since my family have never really tried Foochow cuisine except my mum. We decided to head down to Pudu for our brunch just now. There were ample of parking spaces in the open air parking nearby. Luckily, it didnt take too long for our food to arrive. I was way hungrier as it's my BRUNCH! Anyway, you shall see what I had for brunch in Taste Of Foochow.

This restaurant was even featured in The Star 4 years back.

They mainly serve noodles.

The signature Foochow dish is of course the Red Wine Chicken Noodles( Mee Suah). The soup itself has a great taste of red wine, the fragrance in the soup is full of kick!

Foochow Red Wine Eggy Noodles.

We ordered something different, not Mee Suah but the Homemade Eggy Noodles. The noodles is nothing like the ordinary noodles you have had before. It looks like Kuew Tiow but it is smoother than Kuew Tiow and it's more sticky. It's just so nice to go with the Red Wine Soup.

The Eggy Noodles is made of flour and eggs. They fried it before cutting it into pieces.

I had a bowl of Foochow Rice Vermicelli Noodle Soup. It doesnt look plain at all. As you eat, you eat it with the chilli sauce. It is the home-made chilli sauce they made it by themselves.

The interesting part inside the bowl of noodle soup is of course the Foochow Fishball. When you bite into the ball, it has the savoury pork flavour coming out from the fishball.

Aside the Foochow Fishballs, we ordered some Foochow Wantans too. Each Wanton is stuffed with succulent minced meat and prawn meat.

The Foochow wantan is RM0.80/piece.

We wanted to order the Foochow Pancake but sadly it's only available on the weekend! Such a bummer! It warrants a second visit on a Saturday!

A retreat to The Farm, Lenggeng

Last semester break, I decided to get out of the city to a more quite place to relax my mind. Not too far, down South, headed to Negeri Sembilan, specifically Lenggeng.

It's more like a countryside to me. The Farm is a camp site/ a relaxing place suitable for those who want to get out of the busy city to stay in a scenic quiet place for holidays. At The Farm, you probably cant find chickens, ducks, geese run freely within the area as they are kept inside the cages. They are all reared by Uncle Andrew, the owner of The Farm. Those are just a few animals I mentioned, as the are more animals which are kept inside The Farm, like tortoise, dogs, and parrots. There is a huge lizard too, the lguana! Basically, you will feel so connected to the nature when you're at The Farm. You can have a peaceful holidays here. Dont worry about your meals, you will be served with the best home cooked food.

Upon reaching, there were light refreshments served for everyone.

The dim sum was so good, especially when you eat it with the dipping sauce.

For accommodation, there is a dorm with 4 bunk beds provided. Otherwise, there is another bigger dorm without any beds but mattresses provided. Hence, we just scattered the mattresses on the floor. As the mattress is considered too thin for most of us, you might have to bear with back pain the next morning. Alternatively, you can sleep on two mattresses instead. My neck and my back hurt badly for the a night's sleep. I've got a stiff neck on the next morning. :(

Every morning 6am, (it's kinda annoying) you can hear the roosters are crowing even before the dawn breaks.

"COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO"

Of course, I didnt wake up right after I hear the annoying sound. I was half awake though. I mean everyone was still asleep. Don't be surprised you might be freezing in the middle of the night as the weather was extremely cooling. You cant even sleep comfortably without any blanket.

My nose was itching, I couldn't stand anymore lying down on the mattress. I sneezed as much as I breathed. I'm pretty sure Uncle Andrew wakes up very early every morning. It was 730am when I went down to the dining hall, breakfast was ready! How I wish I have something like this every morning when I wake up and walk down to the kitchen.
Waking up early so that you could see and feel what the morning hours have to offer, like the morning dews, the colourful sky, the sunrise, morning sunshine, the beautiful insects in the morning. All the insects look extremely beautiful in the morning dews!

On the 2nd day of your stay, decent BBQ dinner will be served. I personally have never expected that from Uncle Andrew. Lamb chop was served! I feel the love! There is a huge lake for you to fish. One of the ravishing sight is the night sky. There is a nice spot for stargazing. Of course, you need to bring your binoculars. If you're lucky enough and the sky is dark, you can watch the stars and the glow of other galaxies. This is one of the most beautiful experience you could ever have as you get to know what lies beyond the earth.

By the way, we are so addicted to "The Cup" game. As you can see the picked up quite fast right! (:

Do you really need sumptuous meals everyday? Personally, when I eat, I'm looking at the taste instead of the decorations or the creativity of the food. You can garnish your food to make it look fancy. Your food might look aesthetic and presentable outside but is the food aids the function of every part in your body? Does the meal you consume energize your day?

Indian food emphasizes on spices and carbs. As you could see vegetable dishes are more common in India than Europe. Most of the Indian cuisine use various types of vegetables and spices. Being influence by Hinduism, Hindus are originally vegetarians, that explains why they serve more veges. I have fond of Indian food mostly because all the food are very much hot and spicy! The Indian gravies/curries are something I couldnt live without. The curries are so flavourful and make you wanna ask for MORE.
Indian cuisine can be found in Malaysia a lot lately..There is a tad different between the food from Southern India and Northern India. In the Southern India, the people eat more rice than anything else. Their dishes depend very much on tamarind, plaintain, snake gourd. Most of the dishes from the Southern India are vegetarian based.

Eat your rice with different curries and papadam!! Yum!

As for "roti", in Malaysia, we have Roti Canai, it is something similar to the Northern dish, Kerala Porotta. Traditionally, it is served with dhal. In Malaysia, there are so many variations which are the improvements of plain roti to suit Malaysians.

Twin Towers @ live-Day 2

"The Spirit Never Dies". The spirit of Twin Tower @live has continued to rock the 2nd day, also the last day of the concert in conjunction wit F1 Grand Prix event.

Before the concert started, we could see that the crowd was obviously lesser than the day before. At around 7pm, the base of Twin Towers were filled with thongs of people when the local band started to perform and entertain the crowd.

The performance by the local band was so lively and funky!

The concert kicked off with Joe Flizzow together with artistes Altimate and SonaOne.

They sang a couple of songs but it ended with "Kotarayaku". He dedicated the song to the KL people. It followed by MIZZ NINA appearing on the stage with her dancers. MIZZ NINA really got the BIG APPLAUSE with her appearance.

Everyone was so familiar with the rhythms and beats, hence it was no surprise to see the crowd bounced in response. Whether the people were holding their pee or dripping sweats.they had no time to care about all these. All they knew was to sing along with MIZZ NINA& Colby O'Donis, when both of them were singing "Whatcha waiting for".

Colby O'Donis had lengthy performance. It was like his concert night. After singing 15 songs, he knew he had to stop, the fans down there were eagerly waiting for EARTH, WIND, FIRE to be on stage!

Asha Gill and Joey G were collaborating pretty good as emcees. Both of them would throw out goodies to the crowd in between of the performances.

Our Prime Mnister, Dato Seri Mohd Najib Tun Rajak was there to launch Petronas latest Primax 95 Extra. Also, he presented a cheque to the Japanese Red Cross Society for the victims in Japan. The present of Prime Minister was a totally unexpected thing to us, especially the Media.

Twin Towers @live 2011- Day1

In conjunction with internationally renowned F1 Grand Prix event, Kuala Lumpur is hosting the most happening 2-day FREE CONCERT ever in Malaysia- Twin Towers @live 2011. I'm not even kidding, it's a free concert for everyone! :D

I reached KLCC park around 6. It was already so crowded. The concert area was filled with concert goers and F1 fanatics. It was drizzling before 7pm but that has never stopped the crowd to come in.

Even though it was a free concert but 4000 F1 ticket holders were lucky enough to be at the Fan zone area. The hosts for that night were William Quah and Aisha Sinclair, also Prem from FLY FM.

Before the concert started, we had the DJ from Era FM as the host.
There were two prayers break as well. During the break time, the clowns, street entertainers, clowns on stilt were all entertaining the people inside the concert area.

All the spectators who came were so excited about the concert. Goodies, like fan, clappers were given out before the concert started. The concert kicked off with local performances.

The DJ was playing all the remix songs for the crowds. When the music was blasted out, I really wanted to dance!! I like all the songs which were played by the DJ.
Yuna, the local artist was the first to perform. She sang quite a number of her songs, like Gadis Semasa also covered a song, "Rehab". Her voice was amazing. Do check out some of her videos on youtube! =]

After Yuna went off the from the stage, we had a long break again before The Azenders performed. I think one of the members, Sam , he is really adorable! Dont you agree? Look at the pictures below.. (:

Bunkface came on stage right after The Azenders. Their performances were amusing. They were wearing the colourful shades.

These people, fans of Wondergirls, are patiently waiting for their favourite band to be on stage.

Of course, most of the people were staying till the end of the concert waiting for Hoobastank to perform! Hoobastank sang more than 10 songs. They were great. The crowd went wild for each song, especially when they sang The Reason, the crowds were all crazy, going nuts! Seeing them singing live was truly amazing.

I was totally drained even after the first day of the concert!

I shall continue with day 2 later!

So You Live to Achieve Fame?

What is fame to you? Is it something you seek for in your life? Fame could somehow give a satisfaction to someone. If you want to be noticed, to be loved and expect everyone else to stop whatever conversation they are having and stares at you while you walk into a room, probably you're one of the fame seekers.
In some matters, it's closely related to money. Indeed, it is true, if you're well known, people will pay you for your recognition. Somehow, I'd think it's a shallow thing to use fame as a primary motivator. However, would you change yourself to gain a certain level of fame?
These are the people who longing for social acceptance and reassurance for themselves. Who doesn't enjoy the glitz and glamour of being widely known by everyone and all your behaviours being accepted?
Ever dreamed about being famous? Fame comes easily these days. All you need to do is get all your friends to support whatever you're doing. Once people appreciate your works, they'd probably ask for more! Of course, you must have certain popularity to get people's attentions. Be it an artist, a singer, a photographer, a journalist, a chef or an educator.
I totally understand that to live meaningfully and to live forever in this planet we need to do something great. So, that's the only way to be considered you're living. It'd be a lasting satisfaction knowing that others got inspired by your works or you're just so influential to them.
Do you think when you are famous, your life will be the same as before? Certainly not! Your privacy is more limited now! For instance, you're so famous and those fanatics of yours are crazy over you. Yes, they are crazy about you! They'd love to get into your life and know exactly what you're up to every moment. This is when irony strikes. Can you imagine the paparazzi who are going everywhere you go just so they could make more money from some interesting pictures? There's no ways for you to get back to your normal life once you're famous. There's Twitter and facebook, so it's so much easier for the informants out there. It could be so annoying when the people sitting on the next table of yours in one of the Starbucks is tweeting about you going on a date with some random people. Everyone makes little mistakes or has some weird habits.
People have their prides for themselves, hence by sharing the tiny thing in people's life is intruding their privacy. Just so because you're famous, people are interested everything about you! You can try to shrug off all the attentions but you never know things can go grossly far. Until a point, you will have mental breakdown. So, just bear with it. That's what you have to pay being popular and successful.
I know there are so many people out there who are dreaming to be famous, especially with the extra powerful social networks which are available in this century, it is even easier for them. You just have to have your guts showing off your potential and talent to the world. So, dont wait till it's to late if you want everybody to know your name.
You better be prepared to be violated by the press and everyone else and bear with the weight of fame. (:

Hey fellow readers. I know I never update my blog regularly these days. 2 weeks ago, I was so pissed that the external hard disk which my dad newly bought for me couldnt function at all. My laptop was reformatted and I did transfer all my important files n docs to the external hard disk! I know I had a terrible week.
I will keep praying and I hope when the feller return me my external hard disk, he will be telling me, "Girl, u're safe this time!" Its now in the factory under repairing!
I was feeling so lost each day when I got back from college knowing that I couldnt do anything because all my pics and files are gone.
For now, I will take any risks just for you to be back with me. :(

DAMMIT!!

It's more than just a field trip.

I havent been waking up this early but I just did that for the field trip that I supposed to attend. I kinda went with empty stomach but I know it would be bad if I did that. Luckily Subway saved my life. I always love Subway's breakfast set! It satisfied my stomach. The sandwich's filling was never disappointed me! Aww, Subway is just the best fast food I've ever found! :D

The white coffee tasted so good. The coffee from the vending machine is nothing if you compared it with this!
I chatted with Mr. Francis and others while waiting for Grace Onn. Luckily she reached right before the train managed to reach Subang Jaya's station. We were so lucky as there were plenty of seats in the train. Upon reaching to Port Klang Station, I was trying to find a toilet but some friends told me the ferry has arrived. However someone was late, we had to wait for her before we left the jetty.
Either the weather was quite bad or the sky was just hazy.

The sweetcorn seller was reading the early morning newspaper. Sometimes, I wonder how much could a sweetcorn seller like him earn per day?
Around half past eleven, we were able to board the ferry.

Each of us has a DSLR. Haha. It's so great to share your photography experience with others and you get feedback from them!


The ferry has a few benches and a small platform.

We have been chatting happily not until we found that the sail man actually has lost his way in the middle of the sea.

MR. GOI LENG FENG. YES. He was the one sailing the ferry. He has no sense of direction at all. A 45 mins journey but it took us 2 and a half hours to reach there. Little did you know, it was raining heavily. Luckily all of us were so calm while the ferry actually stayed still for 15 mins.

Ann was literally sleeping soundly on the platform when all of us were actually figuring out how to get out from the ferry. =.=

This is the Olympus guy who was with us throughout the journey. He was trying to promote the latest camera from Olympus-Pen EL 1. In case u're on your way of upgrading your camera, you can consider this! Go google it and you will know how awesome it is.

It was like raining cats and dogs. Luckily I have some friends with me to past the time in the ferry.

The line in the ferry was bad. It was pissing me off. If my friends werent there for me, I wouldn't have enjoy the journey.


All I wished was to reach the Crab Island as soon as possible.

Upon reaching, we quickly got a place to settle our hunger and we found Restoran Kim Hoe.

The fried squid was so addictive till we ordered the second plate! :D

I could see only clean plates on the table after we finished up all the food. We were really hungry and our stomachs were rumbling!

The people there were pretty much practicing t'he GO GREEN concept. It's a good example for the school kids.

I think most of them belief in the same God but I'm not so sure which religion is it. I think all I could see is only one race and one religion in the small island.

Bicycle is the only transportation in Crab Island. I think most of them have their own bicycle to move around the town.

I love this shot so much!

No matter how old the bicycle is, there will never dump it aside. Whatever it is, they depend on bicycle so much, it makes their life much more easy!

This nanny is so against with the flash of the camera. She kept refused to take picture. She was mumbling to us but I didnt get it at all. She's so cheerful although she has no teeth at all.

It was so fun to discover the town like a young journalist with this girl! We didnt just snapped pictures but we talked to the kids and the adults there. It's a bit disappointing where the people there could barely speak English. Anyway, I think they speak perfect Mandarin or Hokkien.

All and all, I was happy when I left the place because I left a footstep there. The only thing is I think the island is so much more to be improved, it's not well developed yet. They people arent civilized enough.

When I was about to leave, two guys were pushing a coffin passing by me.

When you cant explain why things are so unmanageable and it's messing up your life, it's actually karma. You might wonder, why somebody or your friends could have all the great opportunities in their lives.You just have to start thinking if you ever have such thought that your friends have greater opportunities than you. What's behind all the obstacles, challenges and failures? It's actually a powerful and rich experience that you could never create by your own but it just happened naturally. Each time when the so called negative events happen in your lives, do you actually make it to be happened? It's actually what you need to experience in order to learn! If you know how to handle things with your hands and your brain, shit wont happens to you. It's lifting up your consciousness to another level. Hence, just open yourselves to it and embrace the experience which is given to you! As we all know, God will never make anything which we aren't deserve to get them.

When things dont go as planned, it is not necessary to be bad, because just so you know, that is exactly what you are experiencing. And, it is of course what you need to experience. How could you be successful when you dont even have the qualities yet? So, I would say it is just a perspective of you seeing things. When it is actually a fertilizer but you ignore and complain about it, how could you get the better opportunity for next time. YOU WON'T. As a learning experience is offered up, you cant even discover and embrace it. How could you ask for a better opportunity in your life? We dont ask but as it comes we learn. It is also a way to reduce our stress. Always keep that in your mind, it is the perspective how we perceive the gap between the way things are and the way things should be. What goes around comes around.

Sometimes we just have to write everything which we have been keeping in us on the sands and let the waves to churn their ways across each of our words.

BUBBA GUMP @ Sunway Pyramid

A week before, I was with the girls at Pyramid! We arrived earlier to catch a movie before our dinner. Since Albee didnt take her lunch and her stomach was rumbling, hence we decided to have our dinner right after the movie ended! This was my first time eating at Bubba Gump- so all I expected was nice shrimp!! :D
Little did you know that, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is named after the movie "Forest Gump" starring Tom Hanks. It first opened its first restaurant in America in 1996. Hence, it is obviously a theme restaurant to be based on a movie!

They do have some CNY deco in front of the restaurant.

All the service staffs are very exuberant and they like to serve the customers! RUN FOREST RUN. In 30 secs, you will see one of the staffs will be stand by your table to ask, "what could I help you".


Shrimper's Heaven

There are cooked in different ways, grilled, fried, boiled etc.

The sauces for you to dip with your shrimps.

I enjoyed eating with them as all of them love taking pictures! Apparently we spent more time on taking pictures and chit-chatting than eating the food! We had so much laughter before we could literally finish up half of the food on our plates!

Catch of the day? I have forgotten the name. It comes with crunchy fries and mash potatoes!

Half of the drinks they served are alcoholic drinks.

After dinner, we managed to shop for awhile. I didnt buy anything though. Mich bought herself a pair of black heels! We went to Bidara later with the same people except Mei Yean.

There's so much to say about 2010. I was like on the most scariest and thrilling roller coaster for the entire year. I had all the fun times and also traumatic moments. All of you might be interested to know about what had happened to me throughout 2010. I believe only my closest friends know clearly about my life in 2010. Some of them been through some significant moments with me.

In January,

I started enrolling in SEGi Uni College in the beginning of the year. God knows how excited I was when I first stepped into college. I met a new friend on the orientation day and she's my very good friend now! I think she's happy when I said this!Heehee. She blogs at underclassbarbiie ! She's the most crazy or insane kitty's fans I have ever met! Weeks after, I got to know the so called dumbtard- INCH from her.

In February,

I had the first bonding session with the White House members!

In March,

I joined dance class! So I moved my ass and my body!

In May,

I joined SLC 2010 which was held in Dusun Eco Resort. I wasnt the best leadership camp but we built our friendship there and got to know our friends more! After what we have been through, we are stronger in our life and we appreciate each other!

A true friend reaches for your hand and touches your heart.

They dont just be there when you need them but they know what they should do to make the friendship feels warm each time.

Dont make ur friends fall; hold them with both hands.

In October,

After a long consideration, I moved college! To be perfectly candid, after months studying here, I can tell my previous study place was way better. Old times, old friends ... Things were so like unpredictable over there!

In September,

I went for BRATs workshop. In case you didnt know! BRATs stands for Bright,Roving,Annoying,Teens. I really like the workshop a lot as it taught me the right way to write articles for newspaper also we learned some photography skills from each other!

After all that I have been through, I discover that life is such a beautiful thing only you are willing to accept it. I had a bundle of joy, a little of confused, disturbed and feeling blue once in awhile. I would never want to blame anyone for what has happened but be grateful of who I'm now. We never take life for granted, everything happens for a reason. Even though, you might not expect the outcome but dont u know there's always certain reasons behind it. Try to reflect back each night before you sleep! As in you never want to be a dumb-ass each time right? Do you? (:

Do you have resolutions each year? How many of them have you ever accomplished it? It's such a waste it you barely make any efforts to achieve it!

Taking a break at Damai Laut & P.Pangkor

Few months back, my parents took a few days break from work for a short holiday at Swiss Garden Spa Resort Hotel. It took us three hours to reach Lumut, probably my dad wasnt familiar with the place. By the time we reached Lumut, it was already evening!

My dad stopped by one of the hawker stall to have our dinner to energize up ourselves after the long journey in the car!

After dinner, we continued our journey. We reached the resort by 9pm ! After checked-in, I quickly took a warm bath in the hotel room. We went to bed quite early after unpack our luggage as we had to go Pangkor Island the next morning.

I liked the cooling morning breeze, especially when the air tickling your face. Although I felt like I was almost fell from the boat when the boat went quite fast but I enjoyed every moment on the boat!

Our driver brought us to the Satay Fish Factory when we reached Pangkor Island.

We bought quite a lot of Satay fish with different flavours! I dont usually eat those snacks but once in awhile having them, you will like it I guess. We headed to the beach right after purchasing the Satay Fish. On the way going to the beach, we passed by all the villages. You can hardly see brick house here. They all live in a simple life. I can see they eat fresh seafood all the while! The roads were very narrow. Hence, most of the residents ride on their bicycles or walk. Isnt it a healthy lifestyle although the people and the surrounding arent classy at all, their life definitely isnt as stressful as the life in KL..

BEACH IS THE ONLY PLACE WHERE I FOUND PEACE.

We had our lunch at a nearby Seafood restaurant. It was like an old school Kopitiam.

We literally finished up everything in 30 minutes. :D

We roamed around while waiting for our driver. Even walking under the scorching sun, it didnt burn because it was so windy!

We quickly changed as we reached our hotel and prepared for a swim in the swimming pool. We met new friends in the pool and we had a volleyball match in the pool. It was a fun time for us.

At night, we went to the night market. I love the Keropok Lekor so much!! It was utterly different if you compared with those you had in KL! It was crispy at the outside and soft at the inside. I can tell you it was so chewy!

I know it's very dusty here. I left my blog without updating anything for quite some times! Sorry. I feel bad too.
I have been busying with college's campaigns, rushing to finish up my assignments before the datelines, preparing for presentations. Now that everything has completed! What a relief! :D
I'm done with exams on Friday evening. Hence I asked jiayann out for a dinner. She suggested to have steamboat at Farmland Porridge Steamboat. I have heard of it but I have never wanted to try it!
Since she kept telling how good was it. I should give it a try! This branch is just opposite South City Plaza.

We chose the porridge based soup and Tom Yam soup.

I forgot to take a picture of the dipping sauce. I was actually not the ordinary sauce we had before! I like it.

She dropped by my house till 1am and I went to bed at 1.30am. OhGOSH. I need to wake up at 5 the next day! I was working for CANON FAMILY DAY.

All crew members have to be there at 5.30am. We had a briefing around 630am, later we went to our respective stalls. I was assigned at the registration counter with other 19 members. After we had our breakfast(Nasi Lemak), we quickly started to pack the goodies bag!

I was in-charged of the inflatable as well. It was fun to jump with the kids.

We were supposed to have breakfast, lunch and tea-time provided. Due to the messiness of distributing our meals. I didnt get my lunch. I was waiting from 12 and they told me to get back to my stall as they would inform me when the food has reached. I was damn thirsty and my throat was desperately in-need of water. I was so hungry! I dont mind starving if I werent ask to stand for hours! Damn it! When I saw food on the table, I couldnt help but walk towards it to get one. YET. The head of the event could tell me," You were the only one havent taken your lunch yet,right? Just get back to your work, you can eat after half an hour(tea-time)." I just walked back. I was telling myself, "wtf?!" The whole event was considered a successful one. I was just too tired due to final exams! Glad that exams are over.

P/S: I really want to stay over at Penang for a few days just to get the cheap and nice food over there. I want food from Penang! I really hope I would be able to go there before college reopen next year!

You think you can turn me on?

People have been talking about Shabu-shabu at Puchong yet this was the first time I went there.
For those who yet to try the Shabu-shabu at Puchong, I should tell you we waited for 40 minutes to be seated!

The people were waiting for the second section.

In fact, there are 2 sections for the dinner. The first section is at 530pm and the 2nd section is at 730pm. PLEASE CALL FOR RESERVATION IF YOU DONT WANT TO WAIT TO BE SEATED!
I dont think you have to worry about the amount of food you gonna have. It has a whole variety of seafood, pork&lamb slice, vegetables, fried food!

Anyways, I still love FOOD.

It's rather stuffy inside inside the dining area as it is an indoor steamboat! My mum kept complaining she felt like puking. There were around 100 hot pots boiling.

The good thing about this Shabu-shabu is you can eat as much as you want. Just tell the waiter or waitress to get the food you want. They will probably serve it to you in a short while. =]

Arthur's Day- I Partied the Night Away @ Sunway Surf Beach.

We, the people in Malaysia celebrated Arthur’s day on 24th of September. In case you’re thinking what’s Arthur’s day? Why do we need to celebrate it? Arthur’s day is a series of music events which were first organized in 2009 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Guinness brewing company.

After everyone has reached, we went in to the Surf Beach together. Some photographers took picture of us. *woot* The place was quite huge and I was totally amazed by the setting for the whole event. It made me felt like I want to party! Everyone was so thrilled with the atmosphere.

I should tell you this, I missed MIZZ NINA performance! It really upset me. ): I should just get in earlier!
I felt much better when I saw Colby O Donis singing What You Got live. *woot* The rain was getting heavier as the crowd yelled, cheered and sang along. Despite the rain, I felt rather hot as most of us were bonkers over everything.

I got totally drench and ugly but who cares I had fun.

We had Ean and JJ as emcees of the entire night. Serena was the emcee too.

Oh Gosh, he's one huge dude. He started off with the song Me Love, later he continued with all other remix of the pop songs. It made the crowds went nuts. I kept jumping till I have got no energy. We have all the local artists to perform in between.

Flo Rida!!

Just something some of you might not know, his first single "low" was a number 1 hit in US for 10 weeks! It was that song that made everyone knows Flo Rida. He threw all sorts of things down to the crowd, from towel to lolipop to his top!

I know you wanna see more of his muscular physique.( Girls, I know you’re drooling over his body!) He didn’t want the crowd to get low and this time he wanted to proof that Malaysia cant handle Flo Rida anymore. He was carried by his guard on the shoulder and walking down to the crowd! When I was right in front of him, I was like how this dude workout so hard? I really took my hat off to him as he was the one making everyone jumped with excitement. He was pouring water to himself and splashing water to the crowd!

It even ended well. We werent disappointed at all. Those that performing on the stage, the organizer and the party-goers, we were all satisfied! Well done! The fire crackers marked the end of the celebration. WE CHEERED- TO ARTHUR!

Good friends are the family you choose in your life. We are born to a family, no matter what has happened, our family are there for us, especially our parents. We will/have to bear with our parents whether you like it or not. We need friends because our peers know us better. We have the things in common, the things to argue, the things to vie and the things to share. The only difference is we are not of the same blood.
It's a friendship video that I did. The video portrays what I usually do with my friends for my leisure and how much I treasure them. To be perfectly candid, I'm not close to all the friends I have but only certain friends. I'm glad that I still have a very close friend whom I've known for 7 years and still counting.

BRATs Kuantan Workshop 2010

It has been almost a week since I came back from the workshop, but still I miss everyone and everything about bratsktn. The laughter that we shared, the bond that we held, the enthusiasm that we had... The journey doesnt ends here as it's just a starting for us. Most of us have a consuming passion for journalism. We are ordinary yet we want to make a difference.

Everyone seemed to be so excited in the bus. We mingled around and chatted all the way to Kuantan. After reaching Terminal Makmur, we took a cab to MS Hotel. I think the driver charged us more than the normal price as it was a 8 minutes drive from the bus terminal. FYI, We were charged RM20!
Upon reaching the hotel, we are welcomed by the R.AGE team and the senior BRATs. After everyone has settled down, the workshop started with a short induction. Later on, we were asked to introduce ourselves in front of the camera, and so we had this chance to be the stand-upper. Aside the fluency of your language, posture is very important. We were amused by the funny mistakes that others made when standing in front of the camera. I was one of the butt of the silly jokes 'cause I accidentally said I'm sixteen this year! Scratch that! We couldnt help it, we burst out laughing when Wai Min introduced himself by saying, " My name is sixteen", and he turned to look at us as if he didnt know why we laughed so hard. LOL!
At school, we were taught by the language teachers that we should have 5W+1H in our essay. As a journalist, we should have 6W instead of 5. WHAT ELSE.

We were divided into 3 groups. I was so pleased that I was placed in Group1. Not saying that I dont like people from other groups but the members in group did pretty well in every assignment. I could say everyone was cooperative. I even glad that I met lotsa interesting people in my group. I might just add them to the great list of friends I'll have in my lifetime. There are like intelligent, driven, gorgeous/ charming all into one!

On the first day itself, our group were given a task to interview one of the top food bloggers in Malaysia, Jason Lioh.

After dinner, each group was given different assignments, in the other words we had the chance to go different places in Kuantan to interview people. Our group has assigned to do our assignments on salted fish factory and Satu Suku Surf School.

Other groups went to Batik Shop, Keropok Lekor stall and Turtle Sanctuary. It doesnt matter which places you got to visit but what matter is the experience you get when doing the assignment.

On the 2nd day, we went to Beserah Fishing Village where the salted fish factory located. When we reached, we saw lots of workers were busying with their works, like gutting the fish, pouring the cleaned fish to the salt water. Blood stains were scattering all over the working place and we had to bear with the fishy smell.

Some of the BRATs were interviewing Yeoh, the owner of the business. They were also BRATs moving around to snap pictures.

We finished our task before the expected time. So we got to explore around at Beserah Beach. 14 of us had a great time there. We snapped different shots.

We left laughter and shoe prints at the beach. I didnt manage to get tanned under the scorching sun as it was drizzling earlier.
We had our lunch after showering in our respective rooms. We assembled at the meeting room at 2pm. We were so honored to have Jessicat and Jasonmumbles to share with us about their journeys in blogging after Ivy shared with us regarding Social Media.We were all enthralled with their talks/discussions. This was the time when I knew how powerful twitter could be.( Before the workshop, I didnt even bother to use it.)
We were given some times to work on our assignments, it included the article, photo essay and editing the filtered pictures. We went to Teluk Cempedak Beach to have our dinner. Finally we had this opportunity to go out of the hotel to have our meal ! We were playing this game called " Aiyo Ping Pong Piang " at the seashore. We had more fun because the senior BRATs joined us in the game.

After the game, we went our own way either to MCD or KFC to have our dinner. For the dinner, we were given some cash as we were not supposed to pay on our own.

After the dinner, we had to rush back to the hotel to finish up our assignments. ASSIGNMENT. ASSIGNMENT. If only you'd notice, the workshop was always on assignments! In fact, we enjoyed busying with all the assignments.
Reviews were given to each group after our assignments have handed in.
NEXT. Each group had another task for the field trip on next morning.
Group 1&2 went to Satu Suku Surf School at Cherating Beach while group3 went to Cherating Turtle Sanctuary .
We started off our journey at 730 in the morning after having the buffet breakfast in the hotel. It was drizzling again! Anyway, we were all geared up to meet the top surfer in Malaysia, MOHD DAUD BIN MOHD aka Mamat. Along with him was his good buddy, Shukri. Both of them are active surfers. Surfing is the only thing they enjoy in their life.
You'll get shock on how much time Mamat will spend on surfing during the season period. Both of them were so enthusiastic when talking about surfing. Mamat even demonstrated us step by step from how to get on the surf board to the way to surf!

Catch Mamat at Cherating Beach on November to amaze your eyes with his stunning tricks! After spending time with both surfing instructors, it was time for us to leave Cherating beach. *SEE YOU AGAIN CHERATING BEACH!*

After our lunch, we had our sharing sections regarding the places that we went and the difficulties that we encountered. Later, each of us resumed our respective works for our articles, videos etc. It was a very challenging assignment for us as our group has decided to do soudslides this time. Anyway, the final production was good as we received compliments from the facilitators. Basically, most of us were cracking our head to produce a piece of productive work!

It's time to pause our works to have DINNER. I love this dinner the most as we were treated with BBQ dinner. So all the food served on that evening was grilled. Our table wasn't mundane at all as we were all too exciting on our performance later. We were given limited time to prepare for our performance. So all we could do is come our with something simple yet interesting!

It was just a short parody of the entire workshop that we did, however we amused the audience. Oh ya, We did a SPONGEBOB cheer before we started off with the parody show.

Back to work again after the diverting performances from the 3 groups!

Since it was the last night, we had more games compared to the other days. All of us were enjoying much in the New friend Found& Hokey Pokey. We went crazy in the games!

After the games, most of the groups really bust a gut to get the videos and articles finished on time. I think all the groups managed to hand in by 1am. We went to Joanne's room that night to have a lil' party. Chatting, dancing, doing manicure, playing cards , these were the things we did till the next morning. Pop songs were playing all night! Putrisa got the whole sets of manicure for the girls to paint their nails. Thanks Putrisa for bringing them to the hotel. God knows what Mr.Gilbert did and how silly/weird could he be to make us feel so funny about him.

Goodbye is never an easy thing for me, especially when you have built your friendship in the four days. After the lunch, each of the BRATs went back one by one. Some of us took the bus back together. Most of the got back quite early but me, Clarissa, Natra and Ee-Von were taking the late bus. Luckily we got each other.

This might not be the best camp I have been to so far, like those leadership camps yet it was a camp that made a huge impact in my life. I couldnt ask for more in this camp. It was so good to meet people who share the same passion as you do. In these four days, we completed every task together, meeting with all the deadlines. We got frustrated when things didnt go well yet as I think back, that's what teamwork supposed to be. It was indeed a good start of my journalism journey. Living and working with the whole bunch of awesome people was really something I enjoyed much. I will never leave journalism and I will improve myself and strengthen my skills.
