These are some of the most shocking images I've seen to date. A raw view of what we never see, the hidden truth behind consumerism. Interesting part is that we seem to forget that while lands may not be, waters and the atmosphere are connected.

I've been making a serious effort to not buy anything made in China anymore.

Wal-mart? Don't even mention it. I don't wanna hear that the consequences of that kind of business practice are worth you saving a buck.

Funny he mentions "we are no longer afraid of thunder and lighting". I had an insight one day that these completely natural phenomena like those are what started religion, way back when.
I could see a caveman that just got done being an arse to his woman or friend hear a thunder and associate that with a giant in the sky who had the capacity to darken the entire reality he could see JUST BECAUSE HE WAS AN ARSE, to punish him for being an arse. He gets down to the floor and begs - that's the origin of kneeling down. Even animals naturally do it, doh! - it's called submission.

And when I think of it that way I'm devastated by the thought of how much better this would could be if we had (AND STILL DO!!!) not wasted our time and energy fighting and arguing and killing over NOTHING.

It's beyond my capacity to find words to define what I know to be true, that the goddam tunnel vision and close minds in the world are what damn and spoil this planet for the rest of us. I wish NASA would find a planet quickly where life can go on (why god doesn't do that if he exists?) and transfer all of those who want to live the fantasy into their own world, so we all could be happy.

There, I said it. Now I can go on with my Friday.

PS: I'm not even going to get into this b/c I got work to do, but it's not like I think (and who cares what I think or not anyway?) that there isn't something which we can't explain, something that allows for intuition, something that is behind the capacity for love and compassion, but I don't think it all has to come necessarily from one source (meaning one explanation - god - behind it all. But I truly believe the studies of the brain will put out amazing finds and explanations for things we can't yet comprehend.

And then you come and say "but who made the brain?", right?

Evolution, the same stuff that's been shaping up, organizing and reorganizing this planet and the Universe forever; physics, chaos, Collective Consciousness, things we hopefully will get to know more and more via the discoveries facilitated by science, more specifically the amazing area of Quantum physics.

Don't ask me, I don't freaking know! But I'm open minded and rely on my intuition, the sense all living beings have that tie them together and with everything there is, not in a sicktard book written by who-knows-who, in ancient days that thank goodness are gone (or are they?), edited and re-edited zillions of times to fit one agenda or another, sold as truth (or should I say "truf"?).

To shrink the beauty of Life and the Universe down to one man up in the sky (what sky anyway?) that is so hypocritical as to profess goodness but is always doing bad things, needs to be feared and follows everyone's moves? I feel stupid even writing this.

I don't mean to disrespect beliefs. If you need any belief, for any reason, fine. But understand that it's a personal need and WHY you need it. Don't push down my throat, I'm sick of it. And don't quickly deduct that those who know things to be different than you are "doomed" because that's extremely disrespectful of you towards others. Live by your principles otherwise all you want is really to control and to gather others to your cause, which is not a very nice thing to do, when those others don't really wanna join you.

What's wrong about "live and let live"?

I got news for you. While you are on youtube cursing those who speak against your beliefs you are wasting valuable time you could be putting into reading books, catching up with scientific discoveries - who says science is the enemy of your creed anyway? If anything it should add to it, unless you are a control freak in utter denial - and understanding how we are ALL DOOMED simply for having just this tiny planet with limited resources

And when shit hits the fan, which already is, there you will be, preaching yet again; "I said so", you will yell, not realizing the book you hold came from trees, and in making it the air was polluted, that the shoes you wear came from an age old practice of animal abuse that's now considered to be the top factor in global warming, and the cotton you wear was sprayed with more pesticides that you ever dream of and picked by people who got peanuts for it and later sewn together by little starving children in an abusive factory in China.

Put yer damn holy book down and get some knowledge of the current times.

Once the owner of the junkyard saw the mesmerizing blue light emitted by the powder - a billiard size ball of Caesium-137 -, he took it home to show and give away to family, friends and neighbors. He later said he "fell in love with the light of death".

This remains the biggest radiological accident in the world, and one of the worst nuclear disasters to date. And it happened right in my city, in Brazil, while I lived there in 1987. Perhaps this explains some things you've been wondering about me, friends. :D

Artist Admits to Lying About 'Hope' Poster

Artist Shepard Fairey, the creator of the famous Barack Obama "Hope" poster, says he was mistaken about which Associated Press photograph he used to create the image, an issue that is at the center of a court dispute between Fairey and the news service.

In a statement Friday, the Los Angeles-based artist retracted the claim that he had an Associated Press photo of Obama seated next to actor George Clooney. He said he recognized his error and tried to hide it.

"In an attempt to conceal my mistake, I submitted false images and deleted other images," he said. "I sincerely apologize for my lapse in judgment, and I take full responsibility for my actions, which were mine alone."

By Friday night, his attorneys said they intended to withdraw from the case and said the artist had misled them by fabricating information and destroying other material.

Fairey and his attorneys had contended that the artist altered the photo with Clooney to the point that its use would have been permitted under "fair use," the legal claim that copyrighted work can in some circumstances be used without having to pay for it.

Instead, he used a picture AP has maintained was his source -- a solo picture of the future president that more closely resembles the iconic red, white and blue image of Obama, underlined with the caption "Hope."

Srinandan R. Kasi, AP's vice president and general counsel, said the news service will pursue its lawsuit alleging that Fairey willfully infringed its copyright. Kasi said Fairey's admission struck "at the heart" of his defense that he was protected by fair use.

Ok, sheriff...lol...you were just faking it that you believed the couple... you are still a clever man and outsmarted them...like you had to?

NOT! You are just slow, quit yer excuses.

The dramatic announcement included an admission by Alderden that authorities misled the media on Friday when they said they still believed it was not a hoax.

In fact, after a comment on CNN Thursday night by Falcon, the 6-year-old boy, "it became very clear to us at that point that they were lying," Alderden said. But in order to get to the truth, "it was very important that they maintain their trust with us." So investigators misled the media while they carried out their "game plan" of gathering the truth.

I shared a bunch of videos and updates up to yesterday, while I yelled at the sheriff every time he said the couple could not possibly have done that on purpose. Like the truth only came out out because of the trust they had on the sheriff?

Puhleese, Sheriff, watch the videos and please enroll in a course on how to read the obvious when it's staring right at you.

All you had to do is what we see in interrogations on tv shows and movies. You know, the separate rooms and psychological tactics thing you guys do? They were already half broken by the very next day. The kids were ready to talk.

SHEESH, Mr. Aldersen...it's ok to screw up, just not ok to pretend you meant it. :-/

There's a video I posted yesterday that shows the moment the kid confesses on TV and the dad lets out a heavy SIGH sound. The body language expert said that's very common when criminals face overwhelming evidence.

Why is this sheriff doing a similar thing so frequently, and seemingly so nervous, and emphasizing so hard that he "picked up on it"?
