Lularoe--now a big part of life

2017-04-17T20:11:00.000-07:00

This is for sure a busy week. We are putting our albums on a new site Wednesday. Packing everything up Thursday for a show in Port Huron Saturday. This will be a huge learning experience. We have 2 full orders placed for new inventory. Not going to lie---its hard to spend way more money than your earning. But I do believe that you have to spend to earn. Like I said before---we want to build inventory. Hoping for the best.... Please join our group on Facebook.

Our Lularoom

Our Office area

So this is our Lula Room. It is located in the basement of our home. We had to do some serious remodeling to have the space. We had a complete bar in this area. My husband and son in-law did the wall board. Jack's dad found some wall fixtures for us. Overall we are very happy with it. Of course we use more....but thats ok. Lularoe Chelsea Lisa

Took pictures of new merchandise today. Having another album party this weekend. Next week is busy. We are having a sale on another site and doing our first show in Port Huron next weekend. Should be an interesting week. See if our planning works out with moving all of the inventory.

Lularoe -- The Next Chapter

2017-04-13T11:32:00.001-07:00

I have not posted on my blog in a couple of years. Today I decided to start again. Having a hard time remember how- lol. Chelsea and I became Lularoe Consultants the first week in March. Man, it has been a whirlwind.

Chelsea had been shopping Lularoe and thinking about Lularoe for over a year. She happen to mention it to me in January. I had never heard of it. I was looking for something more to do myself. We recently sold our house up north which cut my workload in half. Kids are grown and gone. It sounded like a perfect idea for me. We signed up the next day.

So far everything is going wonderful. It is not work if you love what your doing. We are not looking to make any money any time soon, we both agree to build our inventory and that is exactly what we are doing.

It is exciting and I will take you on our journey!!

This is a great snack or appetizer. Easy and good for you anytime.

Cut up your favorite apples and do a light drizzle of caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, or both. Can't get any easier. I used Hersey's syrups.

The Easiest and Best Fried Rice Recipe

2013-07-17T15:02:00.002-07:00

I have made Fried Rice and Chicken Fried Rice several times. This recipe is by far the easiest and most delicious recipe I have ever found for this dish. Last weekend I just made Fried rice without chicken for a side dish. It lasted for quite a few meals and was excellent!! This is also on my Pinterest Board

Better-Than-Takeout Chicken Fried Rice
Ingredients:
*4 cups rice, prepared
*1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked (slow cooked teriyaki chicken is recommended)
*1 cup peas & carrots, frozen ( I used corn instead of the carrots)
*1 white onion, chopped
*2 cloves garlic, minced
* 2 eggs
*3 tablespoons sesame oil
*1/4 cup soy sauce

Instructions:
1. Prepare rice according to package instructions to yield 4 cups cooked rice.
2. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet on medium heat.
3. Add onion, garlic, peas, and carrots. Stir fry until tender.
4. Crack eggs into pan and scramble, mixing throughout vegetables.
5. Add rice, chicken, and soy sauce to pan. Stir in soy sauce and remove from heat.

When I reheated this dish for the next dinner, I did it with a bit of sesame oil in the pan heated. Then just added a little soy sauce.
Enjoy!!

Farmers Market......that time of year.

2013-07-02T15:24:00.003-07:00

Now is the time of year to save some cash and eat healthy. Do most of your grocery shopping at your local Farmers Market or Produce store. By far cheaper side dishes and completely healthy. All you need to have is a bottle of good olive oil, fresh cracked pepper, and sea salt to roast just about any vegetable you pick up.
Roasted carrots, green beans, the list is endless. Much better for you than anything in a box or can.

Great Fruit Salad....

2013-06-27T10:16:00.001-07:00

This is one of the recipes we tried last weekend from my Pinterest.

You mix 2 tablespoons of dry vanilla pudding mix with fruit. It was amazing and got raves from everyone. We had 16 people spend the weekend and it didn't make it past day 2.

Double-Duty Idea's

2013-05-10T09:57:00.002-07:00

Here are some idea's to help reduce, reuse, and recycle

---Plastic gallon milk jug- cut top with a utility knife just above the handle and use as a scoop for kitty litter, birdseed, etc.

---Plastic Tub- Get the largest-size container of yogurt, sour cream, or margarine. When done with the tub, rinse and reuse it as a travel dish for pets or for craft-suppy storage.

---Magazines - Roll up a couple of these and stick on into each of you calf-or knee-high boots so the footwear will keep its shape.

---Old Shower Curtain- Stash one in your car's truck to line it when carting potentially messy paints, plants, beach gear, etc.

---Empty glass food jars - These make perfect see-through storage vessels for nails, screws, nuts, and bolts. Craft supplies also.

---Foam Packing Peanuts - Put some in the bases of potted plants to help drainage.

---Empty Paper-Towel Roll-Flatten, and use to sheathe a knife kept in a drawer.

---Plastic Mesh Produce Bag - Turn it into a no-scratch scrubber for a gunky pot or pan. Ball up the bag, scour, then throw the whole mess away.

---Used coffee grounds - Spread them over flower beds of acid-craving plants such as azaleas or rhododendrons.

New York's Naked Cowboy

2013-05-08T15:51:00.002-07:00

Make sure if you go to New York, you get your picture taken with the Naked Cowboy. This is on of my favorite pictures from a New York trip that Chelsea took with us. This was taken quite a few years ago.

Chelsea is really getting her squeeze on.

Flat Stanley

2013-05-05T12:51:00.000-07:00

On our trip to Florida, we got to meet Flat Stanley. Flat Stanley was sent to my sister, Shelly, from our nieces son Braydon. I have never heard of Flat Stanley before. Braydon sent him to my sister for a visit. Kids create them in school and give them to family and friends, to take places, take pictures, and create a story. It was very cool. Here he is with me and Jack at Universal Studios.

Flat Stanley enjoying the flowers.

Flat Stanley enjoying Toy Story.

Posing with my sister.

Meeting a dinosaur.

Having a drink, posing for a picture.

Trying on a hat.

Riding a motorcycle.

We really got a kick out of it. A lot of people knew what we were doing. Also spotted a Grandma taking a picture with her Flat Stanley.

What Is A Soul Mate?

2013-04-27T12:37:00.002-07:00

What Is A Soul Mate?

If you have found a smile

that is the sweetest one you've known,

If you have heard, within a voice,

the echoes of your own,

If you have felt a touch

that stirs the longings of your heart,

And still feel that closeness

in the moments you're apart,

If you have filled with wonder

at the way two lives can blend

To weave a perfect pattern

that is seamless, end to end,

If you believe some things in life

are simply meant to be,

Then you have found your soul mate,

your heart's own destiny.
