New cycling classes at Body Matrix gym

I'm so excited about starting my new cycling classes. Those who know me know that I have become this fitness junkie and I recently certified with Mad dogg Athletics to teach (Spinning) cycling classes. It all happened so fast but it was a while that I was contemplating teaching. I love to Spin, bike, cycle or what ever they want to call it now a days. Cycling is a great exercise for a healthier, stronger, heart & it does wonders for your legs!

Like I said it all happened so fast, as soon as I certified I applied at a well known fitness center and they called me the next day. I was hired within that following week. Yikes! Fast forward just 4 classes later yearning for Real growth and a challenge ..... I visited a local fitness studio literally steps away from my house and I found the perfect new gig for my cycling passion! This is even better than what I was looking for! I'm starting new classes with these cool bikes called Real Ryders, I am in love with them! They are so comfortable they feel like if you are really riding a bike with movement. It does take some learning but just like all fitness you have to start somewhere.

So I'm setting up 3-4 classes per week. I'm an early person so I'm looking to do a 6am-7am class..... Yes 6am-7am Tuesday-Thursday, a cycling class that early in the morning will give you wings to fly!

Also since I am such an early bird even on the weekends I want to do a 9am Saturday class. They already have a 10am class taught by Leo which by the way was Awesome!

Pilar the owner even mentioned doing a Sunday class. Oh yes I will do it!

Anyway I'm so excited I'm jumping out of my skin! I'm still working on the details of course. They offer a free class and a discount coupon for the monthly membership. Body Matrix also offers personal training & Pole dancing!!....OMG I have a ton of girls who want to learn pole dancing! ;) I have to talk to Pilar about those classes ;)

But yes if you are looking to shape up your heart and strengthen those legs or vice versa take up some cycling classes and your on your way there.

Thanks to my friend Diane Superville of Whet Travel I was able to coordinate a 3 Night Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas and the best part I get to bring my trainer to workout! Is that awesome or what?! Whats even better anyone who reserves those dates will get this great price and you can workout with my trainer weather you train with "Get Pumped" or not. That means you get to party all night and the next morning...... but only if you want to get rid of those evil toxic devils from the night before you can come out to the deck or wherever "Mommy Dearest" Beth decides to workout and you can exercise those evil toxins away. I love it! I'm so excited ;) Its going to be a blast!

That is so true in so many ways. Every morning you have a choice you can stay sleeping & dream about what you want or wake up and chase your dreams!!!

Every day that you let go by and say "Oh I will do it tomorrow"
the only one you are cheating is You! If you don't chase your dreams who is? If you don't become obsessive over what you want its never going to happen! So many people think that what ever they want will just show up one day without ever breaking a sweat.

Its never going to happen unless YOU make is happen! I don't care what it is!
the same time today will be the same time tomorrow but with a day less because you wasted another day!
It will never be the right time unless YOU make it the right time!
Don't wait for the sun to align with the moon or the next solar eclipse because chances are it wont be a good day anyway & then you just lost another opportunity

The most exciting time of the year is here in Miami! I always say how lucky we are to live in Miami. We have the best weather anywhere while the rest of the US is freezing their who-whos off!

Best of all the MAWC2014 is here in Miami at the American Airlines Arena starting this Thursday February 6, 2014! How cool is that!? There are thousands of people from all over the world coming to this incredible event. People literally spending thousands of dollars just to get to Miami to make it to this ever so important convention. If there is a short cut to success this is it! The training that you need if you want to be a successful unfranchise owner. Its like if you want to be a doctor you have to go to a lot of years medical school forever! Well if you want to be a successful unfranchise owner you have to go to all the conventions! That's your education! I feel a little guilty because convention is so much fun :) You get 6 months of intensive training in a 3 day all day action packed concert setting but in reality you are really learning I promise. You have the opportunity to see all the new Motives products & massive growth. There is always something new with wellness & anti aging. My favorite is always business building. The energy that is in that arena is indescribable you just have to be there to experience it! ;)

I am so lucky that I live here! Its almost in my back yard. For those attending the event lets be sure to be there on time because its a little crazy actually its a mad house! So wake up super early, wear your comfy shoes & clothes and get ready for the event that will lead you to becoming a successful entrepreneur ;)

I keep hearing people everywhere complain about how bad their joints hurt. Just the other day I heard it from someone nearly half my age, the poor girl could barely bend down!

Its time for a real Detox

Ok so I did my "Just say no" campaign but I felt I really needed to kick it up a notch & really do some spring cleaning way before spring. I decided to order some back up to help with the backed up toxic waste. Detoxing is becoming more & more popular because there is more education about how our bodies function and how our bodies really do need it.
If you think detoxing is not important well then let me give a visual of why you should thoroughly clean out your tubing. Our bodies are like giant garbage cans we eat all our lives in order to function. Most of us eat really bad, even if you eat good you will have some stuff left behind.
Now you know how you throw out your household garbage daily and even though you have a garbage bag somehow garbage seeps threw the bag and the garbage gets this yukky residue buildup that stinks and is really disgusting ugh. Well that's pretty much what is happening with your body if you don't do a thorough cleanse. You will build up a lot of crap that will eventually turn into extra fat especially around the waist & stomach. It will slow you down & even turn into disease. Yup, most diseases start from the gut. So think about it if you have years of crap that is just sitting there inside of you that becomes toxic. You will notice that you are more tired you cant lose weight because you are literally full of it! Its amazing to me to hear some people don't go every day OMG that's crazy some people are seriously full of it! Sorry I had to get so visual but it is what it is!
So, I personally hate to be full of it, so I ordered my backup plan which is the NutriClean 7 day detox. I just got it yesterday so I'm starting today. I'm no doctor or know much about science but I do love to read so I learn how to take care of myself. I have never been hospitalized other than having 2 babies. It is rare that I ever get sick. If I do get sick I get better with fluid & rest, I rarely take OTC medication. If I do feel tired or sluggish, I listen to my body, that's why I'm doing this much needed spring cleaning :)
If you haven't cleaned out your internal garbage can, I mean Really cleaned out your garbage can you should really think about it. Doing a real cleanse to Release those Evil Toxic demons is probably what you need because seriously that's what they are evil toxic demons that cause lots of damage if you don't release them. If you don't get rid of all that crap it builds up to spell a lot of problems, not just looking like the Pillsbury dough boy ugh so get rid of it!

Many people are waiting for the New Year to start their healthier eating resolutions. For me I had to seriously start a "Just say No" campaign literary the day after Xmas. These holidays are killing me! It all sort of started in October with Halloween. It was no secret that I really over did it with the chocolate. I ate so much chocolate I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror ugh! But no biggie, I got rid of whatever chocolate was left around by November 3 & did a little extra working out to burn off all that fat sugar & chocolate. Before you know it Thanksgiving was right around the corner and of course I had to start baking. I baked some pecan pies and some sweet potato oatmeal bars. I swear I must have convinced myself that those bars were healthy because I ate the whole tray! Wow! Like if all the turkey and food wasn't bad enough :/

So Thanksgiving is over and here comes December. December was just a total disaster! It started in the beginning of the month. First it started with Carlos's daughter coming to visit from Chicago on December 5 & of course Carlos orders a Gyro and some White Castles from Chicago. I have outgrown the White Castle burgers but a Chicago Gyro Hello??? You just cant get a Chicago Gyro in Miami! So, of course I ate half of it. The next day we had a Xmas party and guess what? The next day we had another Xmas Party and then the next day it was Carlos's birthday and of course we had to cut him a cake! After that I thought I would have a break before the Real Xmas but no the following weekend my neighbor just happens to have his 75th birthday bash and guess what? More food lots of food! Then another Xmas party on the 20th, OMG then if that wasn't enough my daughter's 18th birthday was the 21st & if I wouldn't get her a cake she wouldn't talk to me! So we go get another birthday cake just days before Xmas!!! Aye Aye Aye I just wanted to be transported to a deserted island and be left there with just water to survive for at least 3 weeks! I was just so over it! So I said "this is it"!

On Xmas Eve I said to Semyra my oldest lets do Tropical park bleachers and bike the 20 miles tomorrow, she said lets do it and we did on Xmas day! But seriously exercise was not enough. I said to myself " Annette you got to stop! You need to Just say no! if someone ask you. Do you want cake? say no, if they ask, do you want chocolate? just say no! Do you want to eat? no, no, no, no" All kidding aside if I don't say no I will keep eating & I have to be stronger than that and Just say no!

But then guess what? Here I am on my 3rd day of Just say no and wouldn't you know it my brother in law comes in to visit from Chicago and they want to get breakfast that turned out to be a big lunch. But I did good :) I got a grilled chicken sandwich only ate half and I didn't eat those fried mariquitas they give you with the sandwich ;)

OK, so I'm not that crazy I knew I couldn't do a total detox when we still have New Years to go, so I have been eating somewhat good the past several days, no sugar or chocolate or any of the other crazy stuff I was over indulging with. I am really looking forward to the end of the year. I don't know about all that black Friday stuff. That does not excite me. I guess I'm weird like that. I have never liked store shopping even in my teens I loved to shop through catalogs. I was never a mall shopper.

I did take advantage last week Wednesday before the Thanksgiving rush to shop for a Xmas party dress, I knew the grocery stores would be crowed instead. So there I am browsing through the all these clothes and realizing how much I hate shopping ugh!

Just then I thought, OMG I cant wait for Monday to shop online, this store shopping is way too played out.

So Thanksgiving comes and goes and the Black Friday frenzy is over. Here I am so excited today to get home from boot camp ready to do some Cyber Monday shopping and my computer has crashed! What?! How can this be? that's like your car breaking down when you are about to go out shopping!! Well no need to panic, I always keep back up. Yes I keep another computer as a back up it has issues but it just saved me from shopping & blogging and even worse case scenario there are other computers in the house I can get access to and still not lose out on all the online shopping deals :) Bottom line that could of been a disaster but now a days everyone has more than 1 computer. Imagine if you really had to go out shopping and your car broke down ugh :( not a pretty picture.

Well that's just 1 of the million advantages that I have thanks to my Ultimate shopping destination, perks ;) I love it!

One day all the shopping will be online and the young generation will say "OMG you used to go to the store and walk all those isles and wait in those lines? why would people do that?"

And I will have to say "Ay I just don't know why people did it that way, it was crazy back then, people would even get into fist fits in the stores & malls. It was outrageous I tell you". Yes one day we will look back and see how crazy it was.

So to start with the wonderful transition :) always be sure to register & refer friends to also register and you get an additional 1/2% on their purchases just for referring them :) Now doesn't that sound so much better than fighting in the mall? I think so :)

Happy Thanksgiving

Ok so Thanksgiving is another great holiday, for me that’s my 2nd best holiday because as I mentioned before Halloween is my 1st favorite holiday ;)
Because its such a great holiday & its all about food & eating a lot its no secret that I will be eating a lot of food that is not TLS approved. Yes I will eat, I will try not to over do it but I am going to eat. But I will make it up with biking on Thursday morning after I throw the turkey in the oven. On Friday I will bike it to Tropical park & do the bleachers & track. Saturday will be another biking day just so I can burn off the excess fat and calories. By Monday it’s the regular boot camp routine and go back to eating normal.
So with that said I decided to bake some evil little pecan pie tarts and take them with me to boot camp tomorrow ;-). Why not share the excess fat & calories right? That's what Thanksgiving is all about Giving ;)
I do want to inform everyone that I always add something healthy to my recipes. This recipe has whole grain oats yes oatmeal, not only is whole oats great for the heart they make these pecan tarts taste even better! OMG they are so evil! I also add flax seed....hello you need those omegas & fiber :)
For those who want to bake some at home here is my version of the recipe.
I normally do bake pecan pies but since I'm taking these to boot camp I thought these little tarts would be cute instead of bringing 1 pie. So this is my 1st time baking these and they came out amazing. All the extra exercise will be so worth eating.

Makes 18 mini pecan tart pies

2 cups of light corn syrup
1/2 cup of light brown sugar
1 tbs of molasses
3 tbs of real butter
2 eggs
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/4 cup of milled flax seed
1 cup of 100 % whole grain oats (old fashioned)
2 cups of whole pecans
18 whole pecans to put on top of each tart

in a large bowl add corn syrup, sugar, molasses, vanilla, eggs, butter and mix on low with a hand mixer for about 1 minute. be sure butter is at room temperature or it will be hard to blend with the hand mixer.

put the 2 cups of whole pecans & cup of whole oats in a food processor and blend. My processor breaks up the pecans and the whole oats perfect. Don't pulverize it, leaving the pecans in medium to small pieces is perfect. Then mix the pecan oat mix with the corn syrup mix. Stir with a large spoon do not use the hand mixer

Arrange the pie tarts on a baking dish or 2 then scoop the mix into the pie tarts. Put 1 full pecan on top of each tart and bake on 350 degrees for about 30-35 minutes. Stick a toothpick in the middle to check if they are done.

I loved them I think you will too,
I cant wait to make the pies ;)

My Austin is gone!

For those who don't know Austin he was my Chihuahua. He was my little doggy I brought from Chicago over 11 years ago. I always wanted my own Chihuahua I grew up with Chihuahuas. Just before I came back to Miami, a friend of Carlos's called him and asked him if we wanted a Chihuahua that was found on the street on Austin & North Avenue in Chicago. Duh of course I wanted him. I remember when Carlos brought him to me, I was at a laundry mat doing laundry of course and I saw them from afar, Carlos was walking in with Austin, we saw each other & he wagged his tail so happy that I was about to be his mommy :(((( Wahhhhh! I fell for Austin from the 1st time we set eyes on each other. I was in denial for a while I really wanted to believe that Austin was sort of a puppy but he was not. About 2 years after having him we were already in Miami and one day we called a Vet that did house calls just to get him looked at, Austin was never sick. Anyways that was when I found out that Austin was maybe 6-7 years old! I said NO WAY hes not that old hes still a stud! But years went by and I still wanted to believe that Austin had more time with me. The past 3 years I noticed that Austin had a lot of white hair coming out everywhere, age spots all over and I noticed that he was losing a lot of his teeth. But I still didn't believe he could be that old.
I would always pick Austin up and whisper in his ear "Austin one day we will live in Pinecrest in a big giant mansion on 2 acres and you can feel like you are the King and you can mark your territory outside of course on all the land you want" Austin always looked up at me and would say "Ok mommy but you need to hurry because its later than you think" wahhhh ;(((((((
Austin went through some great times and some really tuff times with us but we always kept him no matter what he was our baby
:((( Even though Chuey & Sandy came along Austin was still the King of the house, and he knew it, he was the boss.
The last 3 days I noticed that he was breathing weird and he would look up to me like trying to tell me he was close to leaving ;((
I picked him up several times and hugged him and kissed him and told him how much I loved him and to hang on. But Austin was a lot older than I wanted to admit. I felt there was something wrong. Last night he didn't sit with Carlos and Carlos said to me "I think its time" I said "stop it he's going to be fine"
This morning I got up and I realized that Austin was not sleeping on the bed so I went around the bed to see where he was and he was stretched out on the floor and I noticed he wasn't breathing. I kind of freaked out and went into the bathroom. I didn't want to call him because I was scared to know the truth, then Carlos jumped in the shower and when he was out of the shower I said to Carlos " I need you to do me a Big favor.....um can you check on Austin please"? Then Carlos walks over to him comes back and says" Hes gone" Wahhhhhhhh :((((( Noooooooo!!! He wasn't suppose to die in Kendall!!! We were suppose to be in Pinecrest by now!
The moral is its LATER THAN YOU THINK!
