Lil Ashton and Aydin didn't put up a fight

Now Aydin now Ashton what were you thinking
Come on Tony Leonard why were you sleeping

They got to the toys, they got to them all
Now off to bed off to bed off to bed you all

At first I cried, I couldn't believe
Then I laughed at lil Aydin, he was only being three

Ashton doesn't know better he's not even two
But Tony Bologna, he knew better he knew

So I re-wrapped the presents and chuckled in side
I’ll read you bedtime stories with your favorite teddy bear
I’ll tuck you in and turn off the lights
And say I love you even if there was a fight

... You don’t call me mom, but I love you the same
I’ll call the doctor when you are in pain
I’ll bandage you cuts and bruises too
Whatever you need no matter the mood

You don’t call me mom, yet you brighten my day
You make me so mad with something smart to say
You leave your clothes all over the floor
I have to remind you to brush your teeth once more

You don’t call me mom, but its okay
I’ll still take you to practice every day
I’ll cheer you on at your sporting events
And brag on you with the other parents

You don’t call me mom, but I’ll always be there
To tell you you’re wrong, even though you don’t care
I’ll yell and scream and discipline you too
Those teenage years I know they’re hard on you

You don’t call me mom, yet you make me cry
Like the day I give you the keys to drive
You make me so proud I can’t tell you how much
And love you even more, not just a little, a whole bunch

You don’t call me mom, yet you better my mood
You and your brothers, yes all of you
You walk in the house starving as can be
Saying we’re hungry, we love you, please feed me

You don’t call me mom, but you sometimes you slip
And I don’t correct you; I just smile, just a bit
I get Mother’s Day cards, and hugs and kisses too
I get all the joys of motherhood from you

You don’t call me mom, cause I’m your step mom
And I’ll never replace the woman you call mom
So thank you for allowing me to be mom number two
Thank you for letting me in, you know I love you

Tonight I went with my friend's daughter to her pageant contest practice. I was only gone for 2 hours. The boys know the drill. Take showers, tidy up, homework, stuff like that. But ooooooo noooooo, when mom got home, bedroom trashed, children not showered, dishwasher still loaded with clean dishes...a mom's welcome home right? But there was this beautiful aroma this time. One that I wasn't familiar with. ahhh yes, the smell of dinner being prepared. My dear husband was making dinner. So while I'm annoyed with my older two children for not doing the norm, I fell in love all over again seeing my hubby standing at the stove. Maybe its the same concept as bed time is when mom pulls down the driveway...dinner starts as mom pulls down, but I am going to pretend it was the wonderful gesture of my dear hubby holding down the fort.

Now that dinner is over, my dear hubby went back to his norm of video games, while i handled the tiding up, showers, baths, yes mom's duties were right back to where they always seem to be.

Deep Fried Turkey

Once upon a time there was a girl from the city. This girl met a man from the country. This man deep fried turkeys for Thanksgiving, while this girl frowned on this idea...oven roasting a turkey is the only way...WELL LET ME SHUT UP!!! My hubby has been deep frying turkeys for four years and this year, my folks, his folks, Aydin, and Anthoney all enjoyed. Poor Alec and Austin missed it this year, for it was their Mother's turn for T-Day this year. Deep fried turkey is the ONLY way to go. Having growing boys, its how fast can mom get food on the table. I would have to say dear hubby and I have dinner hot and on the table in 90 min or less!!! :) I would have to say it was a successful T-Day :)

First is was Alec from kissing some little girls at school on the play ground. Ok not so little, 13 like him. The next day it was a check up for Ashton - 4 month to be exact. 4 days later, Ashton has an ear infection. Then I got bronchitis. 4 days later Austin at the doc with strep. Anthoney comes home this morning and is complaining of a soar throat. REALLY REALLY REALLY???? He's next. Next week it will probably be Aydin. so far 4 of us are on Amoxicillian while 3 are hanging on strong. Did I mention Alec still thinks he can go to school in shorts and a t-shirt when its raining outside and 40 degrees. This is why kids STAY sick. I told him today, keep it up and you'll be paying the doctor bills. LOL :)

Hello - Mom of 5 boys

Ok so I am new to the blogging world, but definitely not to writing. I have been journaling my whole life. Since I was 10 actually...so that would be almost 20 years. Normally I don't have time to sit down and write anymore, but I need to find something for me. I looked everywhere for groups of moms like me, wives like me, sisters like me...and well I'm not sure one exists. Lets see if I can sum it up into a few sentences. I am a 29 year old third wife, working step mom and mom to 5 boys, sister to two deceased brothers, and a deceased brother in law, and 2 sisters plus I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs...does that sum it up? LOL Ok so I know I sound like a country song, but really I love my life and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I met my husband in Iraq. He had 3 boys and was about to go through a divorce...for the second time. When we became friends, all I ever heard was, no more wives and no more kids. LOL Needless to say we are married and have had 2 more boys together. He has custody of all his boys. The oldest is 17 about to be 18 (Anthoney). He was from his first wife. Then there is Alec (13) and Austin (10) from his second wife. Finally, Aydin (2) and Ashton (4 months) with me Christy, his 3rd wife. All A's. ACL to be exact.

My boys are great. I don't separate, I love. When the make me mad, I'm an equal opportunist butt chewer. I believe in spanking, mouths washed out with soap, good ole fashion discipline, yes sir and no ma'am. I believe in family dinners, date nights, and most important...doing your BEST in school.

My deceased brothers...its a sad story which I will save for another day. Jimmy was 7 weeks and died of SIDS. Mike was 30 and died of cancer. Jeff (brother in law) was 38 and died of a heart attack. Jeff and Mike died 100 days apart.

My sisters ROCK!! Jaime and Kathleen. They are all I have left as far as siblings. Kathleen drives me crazy with her hippie lifestyle and outlook on life...but you know what? She's my sister and ONLY I can say that about her. Anyone else, I might have to drop you like its hot. She is the older one. Ya know, the one whose clothes you take, make up you wear, diaries you read. Yea...i was a HORRIBLE younger sister. Then there is Jaime, she is the baby. She has the best qualities out of all of us kids warped into one tiny body of energy. Jaime is the one who can't be wrong, stubborn as hell, and refuses to take advise from her older sisters. =D She'll learn one day.

Well other than my kick butt folks who are another blog another day, I would have to say I just summed it all up.
