"On the day terrorists attacked Mumbai, ASI Tukaram Omble, 48, was on the night duty. At 12.30 am on 27 November he had called his family and spoken to them.

Omble's senior told him to take up position on Marine Drive on Wednesday night, after the news of firings at Leopold Cafe, Oberoi and Taj Hotels came in. Around 12.45 am, he got an alert on his walkie-talkie that two terrorists had hijacked a Skoda car and were heading for Girgaum Chowpatty. Just minutes later, the Skoda whizzed past him.

Omble jumped on to his motorcycle and chased the car. A team from DB Marg police station was setting up a barricade at the chowpatty signal. As the car approached the signal, the terrorists opened fire on the police, but had to reduce speed because of the barricades. Omble overtook the Skoda and stopped in front of it, forcing the driver of the car to swerve right and hit the divider. With the terrorists momentarily distracted, Omble sprang toward one of them, Ajmal Kasab, and gripped the barrel of the AK47 rifle with both hands. With the barrel pointing towards Omble, Kasab pulled the trigger, hitting Omble in the abdomen. Omble collapsed, but held on to the gun till he lost consciousness, which likely stopped Kasab from shooting others."

You have an interview scheduled tomorrow. With less than 24 hours to prepare, you don't know where to start from.

Here is a simple exercise which will not take you more than two hours. Follow the guidelines and make that first impression which will help you get you your desired job.

Before the Interviews

1. Conduct Basic Interview Research

Every interview must be preceded by research to give you an edge over the rest. Find out as much as you can about the company before the interview.

Here is a list of the information that you must have:

Products/Services
Training Programs
Size of company
Career paths

2. Sample questions

Here is a list of common questions usually asked in an interview. Prepare them well

3. Company expectations

Every company has a set of expectations from the prospective employee. In order to know that you fulfill those expectations, you must ask yourself the following questions:

Do you have the right mindset for the job and company?

4. Pick Your Outfit, and Go to Bed Early

Lay out your interview outfit the night before, get a good night's rest, and always get an early start. The last thing you want is to arrive at the interview flustered and panicked because you couldn't find a parking spot.

On the Interview day

Non-verbal Messages: Non-verbal language speaks larger than words. As you walk in the interview room, here are a few things that you must keep in mind:
Start it off like a winner.

The handshake: Offer your hand, and give a firm handshake, a pleasant smile and a positive and confident attitude. Introduce yourself.
Posture: Stand and sit erect
Don't Fidget: There is nothing worse than people playing with their hair, clicking pen tops, tapping feet or unconsciously touching parts of the body.
Eye Contact: Look the interviewer in the eye
Move your hands: Gesturing or talking with your hands is very natural, but keep it in moderation.

Be comfortable. Take a seat facing the interviewer, however, slightly off center. Be sure that you are in a comfortable position
Listen attentively. Look at the interviewer directly, but don't get into a stare down! Sit up straight. Try to relax. It's okay to take a few notes if the questions are lengthy, or you need to remind yourself of something you want to stress
Avoid nervous mannerisms. Pay attention to nervous mannerisms. Everyone is nervous to some extent, the key is to appear calm and composed
Speak clearly. Use good grammar and a friendly tone. Never answer just "yes" or "no" to a question. Always clarify, expand on your answers. Be sure not to go on rambling
Be positive and enthusiastic.Pump up your enthusiasm prior to the interview. Never whine, gripe or complain about past employers, jobs, classes etc
Ask pertinent questions. Be prepared to ask a few questions. Do not monopolize the interviewer's time, particularly if you know they have appointments scheduled following your interview. Do ask thoughtful questions. Don't ask about salary and benefits, this can be discussed when the company is definitely interested in you
While giving answers to questions:

Be Concise: Listen to the questions carefully and answer to the point. An interviewee rambling on is likely to turn off the interviewer.
Provide Examples: Support your contentions with examples. Think of recent strong strategic examples of work you've done, then when the question is asked, answer with specifics, not in generalities.
Be Honest: It is always better to state the truth than beating about the bush. If you don’t know something then state the fact.

Keep Your Guard Up: Always maintain your professionalism. Don’t get swayed by the friendly behaviour of the interviewer and disclose everything. For all you know it might be a trap laid out by him.

After the Interviews

Say thanks. The next day write the interviewer a brief note reiterating your interest in the job. Spell his or her name correctly!
Follow up. If you haven't heard from the interviewer within the time frame indicated at the close of the interview, call them to relay a polite reminder that you're still interested in the job. Ask when they plan to make a hiring decision.
If you aren't hired and you are still interested in the company, it pays to keep in touch with the interviewer. Often, through persistence, you may be offered a position at a later date.

Chin Up. If you don't get the job, don't be disheartened. Gear up for your next interview. After all the more interviews you tackle the more polished you become. You may want to contact the interviewer who rejected you and see if you can get any pointers on what to improve before your next interview.

Madatha Kaja Review – Madata Kaajaa Movie Review – Madatha Kaaja Telugu Movie Review, Rating: Allari Naresh latest film Madatha Kaja is out in theatres now. Naresh has turned out to be the minimum guarantee in his zone over a period of time. All his recent movies have done decent business and buyers and makers of Madata Kaja will hope for another decent earner if not a great money spinner. Here is Madatha Kaja Review…

Story:

Kalyan (Allari Naresh) works as police informer in Vizag. He falls in love with Sneha (Sneha Ullal) and wins her heart with the help of his friends (Vennela Kishore and Dharmavarapu Subramanyam). International don Nanda (Asish Vidhyardhi) runs his illegal businesses in Hyderabad, which are taken care by JP (Jayaprakash) and KP (Ahuti Prasad). JP and KP always fight with each other which bring losses to Nanda.

Irked by this Nanda sets a plan. He passes an order that JP’s son (Subbaraju) should marry KP’s daughter Sneha to make them relatives. At the same time Kalyan is called by Hyderabad police to keep a check to JP, KP and Nanda. Kalyan enters KP’s home as JP’s son and starts playing games. How he brings down Nanda from Bangkok to India and how he marries his lady love forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

The story of this film is inspired from Mirapakay and Don Seenu. However, there is no action angle to it as the director deals it in a comical way. Although few scenes are funny the plot lacks logic completely. The fact that Allari Naresh is a comedy hero covers up to some extent but the comical scenes are not very hilarious. There are only occasional laughs and the film is too predictable for common filmgoer. The film has striking resemblance to the above mentioned films and those are still afresh among our audience that makes Madatha Kaja less enjoyable fare.

Performances:

Allari Naresh has done what he is best at. However, there is nothing special from him. It is a routine act. Sneha Ullal looked cool and beautiful. But she can’t act at all and that gets on to your nerves at times. Jayaprakash’s character is the best one among the support cast. He spilled few laughs at times. Ali’s various getups are okay. Dharmavarapu and Vennela Kishore are fine. Rest of the star cast did well to keep the things flowing.

Technicalities:

Vegesna Satish’s dialogue lacked freshness and punch. This is the main drawback as dialogue is the oxygen for this genre of movies. Sri Vasanth’s music is better than okay. Excuse Me song is picturized well. Cinematography and Editing are good for a low budget film. Production values are up to the mark.

Director Seeta Rama Raju has vast experience in the direction department and that shows on screen. He handled all the crafts well like a pro. But he should’ve opted for a novel script rather following the trend. This film doesn’t give any idea about his strengths as he didn’t try to leave his mark.

Final Word: Madatha Kaja is neither sweet nor sour. Watch it if you have nothing better to do.
