OOTD: For Daddy's Retirement Party

2013-06-06T07:52:00.000-07:00

Hello June! It's back to school! Lucky that my boy is not yet going to school this year, so I can still save up on buying uniforms, school supplies, a new pair of school shoes for him. Haha!

Anyway, here's a super late post of Yale's outfit last March 1st for daddy's (my father) retirement party.

Polo shirt - Mossimo Kids

Pants - Guess Kids

Shoes - Nike Aird Jordan

Yes, he really loves basketball! :)

OOTD: May26th Sundate

My baby is truly a cutie pie! :)

Our May 26th Sundate

2013-05-27T08:28:00.000-07:00

It's been some time since we had our last family date. Well, after all the preps and Yale's birthday celebration, we finally got the chance to relax and unwind.

Yesterday, we had a good time as we went to Marquee Mall for our family date. It's our 2nd time and we were able to check out the whole place indeed! We took the North Luzon Expressway, Angeles Exit to get there and went home taking the "old road" as it's raining cats and dogs in the afternoon.

Anyway, here's some of our photos:

while at the gas station, Yale managed to stand up so we can have a good shot :)

my baby just shopped for some havs

mommy, daddy and baby Havaianas :)

they really love shoes, huh!

And we had lunch at TGI Fridays!

hmmm, checking on what to drink little boy?

We had a great time and we'll definitely doing these things again, especially now that hubby's got a weekend off again! :)

Party Planning: PINWHEEL Themed Party

2013-05-22T22:01:00.000-07:00

This is one of the cutest I know. If I had a baby girl, this will surely be her 1st birthday theme, but I don't have one, yet. So If you want to plan for your baby girl's birthday or baptism, maybe you would want to check this theme.

pinwheel centerpieces

pinwheel themed birthday cake

dessert table set up

For me, this pinwheel themed birthday party should be more on bright colors. But if you want a dainty look, pastel colors will do.

'Til then! :)

Party Planning: MUSTACHE Themed Party

2013-05-22T18:25:00.001-07:00

Now that my little boy's party is over, I can share some ideas that you can use on your next party planning.

Still thinking of a theme for your little man? For adult parties, maybe? Well, here's another theme that will surely be a hit to your guests. A mustache themed party. :)

mustache party straws

mustache/little man's themed birthday cake

mustache cupcakes

you can limit the colors to red, blue and white

(credits to the photo owners on Google)

I like this idea of a mustache themed party. Some call it the "Little Man Theme". I call it just a "Mustache" themed party so it wouldn't be limited to little boy's party but for adults too!

Have you tried this party too?

GREYAM YALE'S CHOCOLATE FACTORY THEMED PARTY

2013-05-19T08:00:00.001-07:00

Time really flies so fast! My little boy has turned two and I can already imagine the time that he'll be going to school and meeting new friends! Well, I'm just excited as many moms would be. I know he'll be a good and sweet boy as he is right now.

As promised, here's some of the photos and supplier (review) of my son's 2nd birthday party.

Yale's birthday clothes are from Gingersnaps and Air Jordan shoes from Nike

Golden Ticket invites are made by XL Gift and Giveaways

This cute chocolate cake was made by Lailen's Pastries

I also ordered some red velvet cupcakes as giveaways, also from Lailen's Pastries.

Got a lot of good compliments about these from the guests.

The guests enjoyed taking sweets from these cute mini dessert buffet.

We also had these yummy red velvet and chocolate cake balls from Lailen's Pastries

Cute mini stools for kiddie souvenirs are from Handicrafts atbp.

I also made some candy loots for the guests. Chocolates and candies are from S&R.

Baker's twine used for ribbons are from Paper Chic Studio, baking cups from Celebrations Party Central.

Game prizes from Divi :)

Colored tumblers with Baby Bench colognes and candies inside.

Thank you tags from Paper Treats

Centerpieces: Popcorns, yogurt sticks and candies.

Glass bottles are actually recycled from Gerber juices, washi tapes and paper straws from also from Paper Chic Studio.

Here are some photos with the guests:

Here are the suppliers and my rating. Just click their names and you will be directed to their FB pages:

Lailen's Pastries - birthday cake, cupcakes, cake balls (10/10)

XL Gift & Giveaways - invites

Paper Chic Studio - paper straws, baker's twine, washi tape

Paper Treats - thank you tags and stickers

Handicrafts Atbp. - kiddie stools (10/10)

Gudshot Fhotobooth - photo booth (7/10)

Celebrations Party Central - baking cups

And of course, kudos to Shakey's Waltermart for being very accommodating and helpful with all my requests and needs during the party. I only availed their food, Monster Meal Deal served in buffet style but they were able to give me the program with party hosts and Capt. Shakey's appearance for FREE! The party host was indeed very entertaining and the guests said that they really had a great time!

Again, thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us! :)

Party Preps II: PARTY DECORS

2013-05-19T06:55:00.000-07:00

Hi there! Yale's party was over and so my preparations all paid off since I got a lot of good feedback for the decors and party stuffs. I did not get a party organizer nor event decorator 'cause I have my brothers, sisters and my mom to help me out. I'm a hands on mom indeed!

Check out these photos:

I pumped these balloons in the morning and put them inside large garbage bags, turned on the aircon to keep them from popping!

DIY Letters, stand and lights by my siblings

I didn't have a tarpaulin 'cause I think it will just be put to waste after.

So I asked them to just put Yale's name instead (magnets letters from Shakey's)

DIY ceiling balloons by my brother

Simple table centerpieces which includes popcorns, yogurt sticks and candies for the guests to eat while waiting.

All the decors are DIY and very economical. :)

YALE'S WHITE HAT Experience

2013-05-16T05:36:00.000-07:00

Today, Yale had his 1st taste of White Hat's yogurt ice cream! Yehey! I think he likes it better than Tutti Fruti. The lady in the counter suggested for us to try the blueberry and cheesecake toppings because according to her, it's their best seller. And so we did!

This is sooo yummy!

He was amazed with the toppings and surely loved every bit of it!

He's a grown up little boy now, but of course he'll always be my baby! :)

Party Preps I: GAME PRIZES

2013-05-15T06:42:00.002-07:00

So it's just a couple of days before my son's 2nd birthday party. Little by little, I am trying to prepare some of the things I'll be needing since I don't wanna have some cramming part on the night before. Which I think I wouldn't be doing so. (I wish!)

Anyway, here are some of the game prizes that I bought:

Bought these clear colored tumblers from Divi

I also bought some Baby Bench colognes in Candy Scents :)

A big bag of candies from S&R, perfect for the party theme

These will be for special prizes.

I put some candies and Bench colognes inside the tumblers :)

I also put these cute thank you tags from Paper Treats and baker's twine from Paper Chic Studio

Bought these character towels also from Divi

Well most of the game prizes I got were from Divi, the cheapest place you can get them, of course! Cheaper if you buy them in wholesale which they only require you to purchase 6pcs minimum for you to get the wholesale price. Nice, right?

Here are the other things I got:

Character white boards with markers and erasers

Kiddie back packs

Disney scissors

Pencil sets

Coloring and sticker books with colored pens

iphone notepads and clay pens for adult game prizes

arm candies that I also bought for ladies' game prizes, these bags will also be filled with candies

I'm also gonna buy some chocolates from S&R this Friday so I can pack some loot prizes filled with chocolates and candies. I'm limiting the game prizes though 'cause Shakey's told me that they only have 3-4 games. So better if everyone who will join the games will get prizes whether they win or not. :)

Watch out for my next post about party decors.

A Simple Celebration of Yale and Mama's Birthday

2013-05-14T07:57:00.000-07:00

Well, some people wouldn't know that my mom and Yale have the same birth date. Yes, I personally picked my mom's birth date to be Yale's too! I had an induced labor so I was able to pick the date. :)

Today, we celebrated just a simple home cooked dinner since we will throw a party on Saturday.

Mango Torte cake

Just a comment, I super duper love this yummy cake! The icing is not too sweet, just enough so you can indulge with the mangoes and sansrival-like layers inside with nuts and mangoes. Really a must-try! Ordered this from Lailen's Pastries .

I also made some ceiling balloon decors that Yale and his cousins can play with.

Again, Happy Happy Birthday to my son Yale and my mom Vilma! :)

GREYAM YALE turns TWO!

2013-05-14T02:04:00.002-07:00

Two years have gone by so fast, too fast! Just a couple of years ago when you came into our lives and changed everything in just a snap! Our grocery lists includes milks, nappies, vitamins and other baby stuffs. Shopping lists will always have little clothes and tiny versions of daddy's shoes. Monthly pedia visits will always be a "date" for us. And now, you have developed so much that as early as this stage, you would even argue with me just to watch basketball at night and hold the remote control.

How time flies! I will always keep my promise to give you the best that we can. My life, my love, my son, I have carried you in my tummy for nine months. But I will carry you forever in my heart.

Happy 2nd Birthday Greyam Yale! Mommy and Daddy loves you so much!

Again, Happy Birthday my love! :)

Greyam Yale's Pre-birthday Shoot

2013-05-12T03:05:00.001-07:00

Hello mommies! Happy Mother's Day! Today, aside from the numerous greetings I got from my loved ones and a lot of sweet hugs and kisses from my boys, we also had a lunch out and finally got the chance for Yale's shoot. Well, it's less than a week before the party so I need to finalize the photo that I need to submit for his photo booth lay out. :)

Here are some of the photos:

In two days, my love will turn two years old! Excited with his party too! :)

YALE'S Pre-Birthday Date

2013-05-11T06:24:00.000-07:00

Hello mommies! Tomorrow is Mother's Day, have you got any plans yet? Today, we had an "unplanned" day out with our son Yale. We actually went to the metro to buy him his "birthday" shoes. :)

We have been searching for the perfect shoes for his birthday and we always end up without an available size for him. So I asked my sister to check out a store in the metro and she was able to confirm they have the exact size for Yale.

But of course, we first went to see Spongebob too! :)

Yale's OOTD:

shirt - Just Tees

pants - Gingersnaps

shoes - Jordan (Nike)

We played hide and seek between these haha!

daddy and Yale at Nike Stadium SM North

Finally got a size for Yale :)

Jordan 5 size 8c - his birthday shoes!

He's a spoiled and happy birthday boy! :)

And of course, won't forget to visit tita Kaye at Starbucks! :)

Just a few days before my little boy turns two and we're almost set for his birthday party. Hope everything will go well. Cheers!

My DIVIsoria Escapade

2013-05-03T19:32:00.000-07:00

Hello mommies! I'm just so happy about my Divisoria escapade last Thursday with my mom and sister. Yes, I finally made it to Divi and bought stuffs that I need for Yale's birthday.

I haven't been to Divi for quite some time now, from San Fernando (Pampanga), mom and I rode a bus to Cubao but alighted at Munoz stop to meet my sister. Then we rode the Light Rail Transit (LRT) going to Tayuman and a tricycle going to Tutuban. I actually purchased inside the 168 malls where I got super cheap stuffs for the party.

Of course, I needed to buy game prizes for the kids and adults. :)

Since I didn't avail of Shakey's party supplies, I decided to buy instead. The party host told me how many game prizes I needed, but of course, mommy instinct strikes again, so I opted to purchase more than expected. I can always give the extra game prizes to kids. :)

So there, I bought some kiddie backpacks with cartoon characters; plastic tumblers; colored pencils;

iphone notepads; clay pens; character scissors; coloring books; sticker books; pencil eraser sets;

white board with cartoon characters; face towels, etc.

Since I also decided to DIY our balloon decor, we went to Kyla Mae's to purchase some balloons and pumps.

I bought 120 pcs of 10" indoor balloons and 40 pcs of twisting balloons

plus 2 pcs hand pumps since the venue is not that big (60-80 pax capacity)

Overall, my Divi trip was a success! We're going to the cake and dessert supplier this afternoon to finalize the package.

Thanks and have a great weekend mommies! :)

It's MAY!

2013-05-02T18:07:00.000-07:00

Hurray! It's my most awaited month of the year (except for December)! Well, it's my mom and son's birthday celebration and I'm becoming more busy each day. This week, I need to accomplish a lot of things 'cause I wanna stick to the plan of being "relaxed" a week before the party. :)

So this week, I have to accomplish these things:

1. Go to Divisoria to buy game prizes and balloons, I'm planning to DIY our balloons decors

2. Book the cake and dessert supplier

3. Buy clothes for Yale

4. Purchase things for my DIY party decors

I'll keep you posted about my progress. Hopefully, all the details that I have posted here will be accomplished this week. :)

Thanks and have a great day ahead!

Party Planning: Themed Party Supplies

2013-03-11T03:11:00.001-07:00

Hello there mommies! I've been busy looking for suppliers for Yale's party and at the same time, I'm so excited as well visualizing how everything will look, fantastic! :)

While browsing some blogs this weekend, I saw some cute stuffs that I think will compliment the party theme for Yale.

Here's some of the cute stuffs to partner up with the Chocolate Factory theme I've been planning for:

paper straws (these are really so cute!)

baking cups

baker's twine (instead of using ribbons for the thank you tags)

Credits to the owner of these photos where I'm gonna order these cute stuffs, just click their name Paper Chic Studio to view their Facebook page and check out some cute stuffs they're selling.

I'm just so excited about these cute little things I've been discovering these past few days.

See you on Yale's party!

'til then! :)

YALE'S 2nd Birthday Party Preps

2013-03-06T18:23:00.000-08:00

Hi there! Sorry for being too busy with a lot of stuffs! It's my rest day and so this is the only time that I can post my insights again. Well, last month, we had a lot of things to do as my father also got his retirement honors. Yey! Thank you Lord and my father is now an ordinary man. I'll post his retirement / birthday event later. :)

It's March and I only have two months left to prepare for Yale's 2nd birthday party! How time flies huh?! The last time that I've been too busy was for the preparations of his 1st birthday. And now he's turning TWO! :)

This year's party theme is inspired by Johnny Depp's 2006 movie, CHARLIE and the CHOCOLATE FACTORY. Well, thinking about it, there should be lots of chocolates then! I am thinking about having Barney as well but since our party venue doesn't offer it anymore (Shakey's), I have changed the plan to sticking to the chocolate factory itself. So I have to watch the movie all over again. And guess what, Yale liked the idea of the entrance scene before going inside the chocolate factory. If you have seen the movie, there were dolls and carnival stuffs with the Willy Wonka song playing. So there, I need to incorporate that too!

Here are some of the ideas I got from Google:

the cake design

my inspiration for the dessert table (how I wish!)

I bought some dessert trays so I can do this stuffs on the dessert table

colorful and cute stuffs that can also be done at the desserts

Credits to the picture owners from Google :)

So those are my inspirations for Yale's 2nd birthday party. I just hope I can execute them all! :)

Progress about the party?

1. Party Venue / Food - reserved :)

2. Balloon Decors - booked :)

3. Photo Shoot - scheduled by 3rd week of March

4. Invites - scheduled by 2nd week of April

5. Decorations - to purchase on 4th week of March

6. Prizes - to purchase on 4th week of March

7. Souvenirs - for inquiry

8. Dessert Buffet - booked :)

9. Photo Booth - for inquiry

10. Entertainment - booked :)

So far, those are the things I have done for the party. Everything is scheduled according to plan and well enough, I hope I won't be too stressed about it. Well, it'll be a double celebration as Yale and my mom has the same birth date. :)

See you on the party!
