Mangas are japanese comics. Usually, teenagers love to read mangas about school life as well as slice of life. Girls tend to read shoujo mangas. Shoujo mangas are targeted for young audience especially for teenager girls. Mangas can be REALLY addicting. If you are the beginner, following shoujo manga are best for you to increase love for mangas:

1: Hirunaka No Ryuusei

Shutter Island - Movie Review

I watched Shutter Island a few days back so I decided to write a review about it today. It is no doubt one of the best movies I have seen. The plot is so interesting which keeps you engaged till the end of the movie. The cast is superb. The environment is stunning and gives a creepy and mysterious feeling for all the time. After watching this movie, I have become even a greater fan of Leonardo DiCaprio :D

So, the movie starts as the two US Marshals, Edward Daniels a.k.a Teddy and his new partner Chuck Aule, reach the Shutter Island located in Boston to investigate the disappearance of Rachel Solando, a mental patient residing in Ashecliffe Hospital for insane criminals. She is accused of murdering her three children by drowning them in the lake beside her house.

The only clue left for them is the note left by Rachel which reads: "The law of 4; who is 67?". During investigations, Teddy concludes that the staff has some part in Rachel's disappearance and confronts them, but the staff is not supportive at all. Meanwhile, Teddy is haunted by the visions and dreams from his past and of his dead wife. The lead psychiatrist, Dr. John Cawley, refuses to hand over patients' medical records and Rachel's personal Doctor, Dr. Sheehan, has left the Shutter island for vacation.Teddy gets suspicious of the behavior of the staff and to add fuel to the flame, one patient during investigation sends Chuck away and writes "run" in Teddy's notebook secretly.

The plot takes a turn as Teddy starts having migraine attacks and visions of her wife, Dolores Chanal, who tells him that her killer Andrew Laeddis and Rachel Solando are still on the island. Teddy continues his investigation along with chuck with a motive of finding Laeddis also. His suspicions grow as Rachel is brought back by staff with no explanation of how she survived in a fierce storm and where she was. So at last he decides to visit the forbidden Ward C for clues. There, he is separated from Chuck and meets George Noyce who tells him that this asylum is experimenting on people and sends the incurable to lighthouse(the forbidden place where most delusional and dangerous patients are residing according to the hospital) for lobotomization. He says that all of this was a drama including Chuck to target Teddy and eliminate him after proving him to be a mental patient, meanwhile the vision of his wife asks him to leave the shutter island as soon as possible.

Teddy decides to visit the lighthouse along with Chuck who decides to tag along despite of Teddy's insecurity. Once they reach the cliff from where they become separated, Teddy meets a woman living inside a cave claiming to be Rachel Solando. She tells Teddy that she was a Psychiatrist at Ashecliffe and was falsely accused of killing her children when she found about the mental experiments going on in the asylum. She asks Teddy to leave soon and when Teddy returns to the hospital and asks Dr. Cawley about Chuck, he denies the presence of any Chuck and claims that Teddy arrived the shutter island alone. This confirms Teddy's suspicions of the whole scheme.

Determined to find Chuck, Teddy breaks into the light house only to find Dr. Cawley inside. He explains that Andrew Laeddis is actually Teddy himself, the most dangerous person admitted in Ashecliffe and resident of Ward C, arrested for killing his mentally ill wife after she drowned their children. So, Edward Daniels and Rachel Solando were anagrams of Andrew Laeddis and Dolores Chanal and the law of 4 explained this. He explained that all of this was role-played so that Daniel accepts the reality and migraines were effects of withdrawal from medicines. Later Daniel accepts the reality and remembers what actually happened. Dr. Cawley tells him that he had achieved this state before but quickly regressed and that this was his last chance. In the ending scene, Andrew calls Dr. Shaheen Chuck again, depicting that he has gone back to his Teddy self. Just before taking him for lobotomization, Andrew asks Dr. Sheehan,"Which would be worse? To live as a monster, or die as a good man?" giving the audience a hint that he might still be himself and telling Dr. Sheehan that their method succeeded but he doesn't want to live knowing the bitter reality.

Shutter Island keeps you guessing till the end and even though the ending is twisted, it doesn't spoil the whole plot. I don't get why many people are giving it negative reviews. Even though it has some flaws, it is beautifully directed. I give this movie a rating of at least 8 out of 10. For purchasing the movie, follow the below link :)

The Reason I like Korean Dramas

Have you ever wondered watching English seasons, why are they always so troubling and depressing? It is because they are closer to reality. Our lifestyles have become so tedious and depressing that we are looking for ways to escape reality. Well, Korean dramas are one such technique which will literally take you away from reality (I mean it). But this aspect of them makes them so fun to watch.

I have become a huge fan of Korean Dramas for they are so light and amusing. I remember back in 2011 when I was in fourth semester of my engineering degree and it was the exam of Database Systems the next day. I was so frustrated due to exam preparation that at last I threw my books away. My sisters had just started watching Boys over Flowers the same day. They asked me to tag along and I happily joined them. This was my first time watching a Korean Drama and I still remember the storm of joy and happiness that struck me :p I forgot my exam and watched the drama for whole night. All of the tiredness and stress just got away. There are some certain reasons due to which I really like Korean dramas and I would like to share them with you too:

1. Koreans are the best actors and play their roles perfectly. They seem so close to reality and you can feel everything that is happening to them.

2. The stories of their dramas are awesome and each includes a certain moral and lesson. Koreans follow ethics and codes of life very seriously and the same thing is depicted in their dramas also.

3. Most of the dramas are very cute and innocent. You can watch them easily with family.

4. Korean actors and actresses are very cute and handsome. Most of the boys and girls develop a crush on them the moment they start watching the drama :p

5. Plots of these dramas are very interesting. You are always curious to know what is going to happen next.

6. These dramas are very emotional and romantic. They teach you that love is pure and it is worth fighting for.

7. You get to know the Korean culture which is very interesting and full of wonderful traditions.

8. They are very addicting. Once you start watching, you can't stop until you have finished the whole drama.

These are some of the things which I have experienced. Dramas are just for passing time and relieving ourselves from tension. They shouldn't be taken too serious neither you should develop any obsession. Because too much obsession creates a void and you start running away from reality and start wishing your life to become a Korean drama too :( In some other post I will share some good dramas too. Girls are one of most complicated beings on earth. Often people are really curious to know the nature and thinking of the girls, but it is an impossible task. They can think in countless manners and you never know what she is thinking at the moment.

Being a girl, I have collected some of major facts about girls and I would like to share them. But these facts vary from person to person. No one can judge anyone just by reading some article or blog. You have to understand the personality of a person before judging them.

Some of the facts about girls are:

1. They are very conscious about their appearance and beauty. Never ever criticize her physical appearance even in a joke. It can be fatal.

2. They keep their emotions and thinking bottled up. They tend to act very strong but truly inside, they keep whining about trivial matters in their hearts.

3. They can be very egoistic and self centered. They always give themselves first priority and want all of the attention for themselves.

4. Some of them try to be classy and humorous by making fun of others but this only makes them seem bad. Try to avoid company of such girls as it can ruin your personality.

5. Never judge a book by its cover. That is true for girls too. Never judge them only by their first impression. You may find drastic changes after getting to know them. They might even seem like some different person.

6. They are not usually sincere in friendship because of jealousy and ego. But if you have a sincere and an honest friend, you have the treasure of the whole world.

7. Always listen closely to what they are saying even if you have no interest. Otherwise results can be serious because they are emotional and really sensitive about what they tell others.

8. Even if they are smiling a lot, it doesn't mean they are happy. They know how to hide their emotions. So be careful in dealing with them.

9. They are kindhearted and can be very generous.

10. If they have experience of a certain incident, they can be very understanding about the situation and can help you in coping with it.

11. Most of them love cute and fluffy things. (Remember the unicorn of Agnus?)

12. A small greeting from their loved ones can cheer them up a great deal.

13. Obsession can drive them to do things they never would have imagined.

14. They just want to be loved, no matter what.

15. They are never satisfied about their appearance and always think they could look prettier.

16. They have high standards in everything.

17. They are more hardworking and devoted than guys.

18. They usually develop second male lead syndrome :p They always go for the good guy in dramas and movies.

19. They are very touchy about studies and can be mean sometimes.

20. They never leave you alone in the time of need, even if they are not interested in your matter.

21. They are great spectators and have a bad habit of backbiting. (Sorry :p)

The Story of My Love: My Parrot

My parrot might not be very attractive. He has grown old and has developed a habit of plucking his feathers (which by the way is very annoying anyways). But no doubt he is the sweetest thing on this earth. I have never seen an animal so much sensible as he is.

I was very little when I got him. He was such a sweet little thing with almost no feathers. I was in 6th grade when I got him and now I have completed my Bachelors Degree and have become a Computer Engineer (Awesome it is, isn't it?). It's been more than twelve years since he is with us. And now everyone in my home has developed a strong bond with him. He eats with us, sits with us, plays with us, even sleeps with us.

His bond with me is the strongest. He never lets me get out of his sight even for an instance. He sleeps in the same room as mine and first thing in the morning for him is to greet me. If I am sleeping, he sits by my pillow until I have gotten up. Then he just climbs over my shoulder and sits there for the rest of the day. This makes difficult for me to even go to the bathroom (lol). Since I am at home now a days, this has made his life a heaven as he doesn't have to leave me even for a moment. He doesn't care if anyone else is having a meal but as soon as I start eating something, he gets super hungry and starts rushing to whatever I am eating. Then, at night, it is most difficult for me to send him to his sleep since he is glued with me lol. When he gets sleepy, I turn off the light and take him to his sleeping place. In this way he doesn't get the idea where he is going :p And in this manner, his another day of life passes.

Usually parrots are Frugivores, meaning they eat fruits and seeds etc. But my parrot has appetite just like humans. He eats everything, yes everything. He likes fruits, vegetables, meat, chicken, dairy products, sweets, chocolates, desserts, and even bone marrows :o He loves eating sugar. He eats it in the morning as soon as he wakes up and eats before going to sleep at night. Many people say he has developed feather plucking habit due to eating sugar but this is one thing I can't take away from him.

He is very friendly. He never bites. He greets everyone who comes into the house. When I used to come back to home from College or Work, he used to know that it was me even before I entered the house. He likes new people and also remembers them for the next time. He remembers some of my aunts very well whom he likes and very warmly greets them whenever they come to our house. Usually he is attracted to females, I have never seen him greeting any of the male guests lol.

He is not very talkative. He knows a few words and repeats them when he is in mood. As long as I am with him, he just sits with me pruning his feathers. But at the moment I get out of his sight, he starts shouting which by the way is very annoying -_- That is why I have to keep him with me for all the time. Everyone in my house loves him. I wonder what will happen when he will leave us :(
