Tired of the winter blues? Try some winter greens instead!

For the best terrarium advice, I'd recamend reading Martha Stewart's online how-to:

"We used kitchen canisters, which are readily available and inexpensive; their tight-fitting lids capture the condensation the plants require to thrive. For the terrarium, cover the bottom of a jar with horticultural charcoal (doitbest.com), and then put in a layer of potting soil no more than an inch thick. Add plants if you'd like, and then cover the soil with sheet, cushion, or clump moss (have a florist order it for you). Make sure that any leaves, petals, and stems do not touch the glass. Spritz twice with water, and place the lid on the jar." - Martha Stewart

I lot of bloggers and stylist think that December is the month to go gold. I, on the other hand, beg to differ. Yes, the holidays are a time to shine with all things metallic but in actuality it shouldn't stop after December. The New Year marks a time to overcome our struggles and shall I say, go for the gold! I love this part of Sex and the City! Charlotte and Harry celebrate the end of their infertility with a healthy pregnancy. True to form, Samantha toasts with her long term lover (dear I say boyfriend) in matching sequin robes and posh champaign flukes. And lastly, Carry travels to Mirandas to accompany her just in time for the clock to strike midnight. Not only does this clip make me cry almost every time I watch it but it also reminds me be so thankful for close friends and family when you're in time of need.

I’m looking forward to 2012. This year has had its ups and downs for me to say the least. I’ve celebrated my first full year as a full fledged Floridian turned New Yorker, said a very said goodbye to my Grandma- my inspiration and reason for working in fashion, made well needed connections with old friends and all the while began this little blog.

I wish everyone a truly inspirational and lucky 2012!
