Google anounced new Gmail Lab feature(Video Chat Enhancements)

Google recently announced that they added a new lab feature related to Video chat in Gmail.
The users who are using video chat in gmail will have more features soon.

As a result and to test the feature they released (VIDEO CHAT ENHANCEMENTS) lab feature.
Visit the Gmail Labs tab under Settings, turn on "Video chat enhancements," and right away, you'll see higher resolution video and a bigger video chat window.
this new feature uses a new mechanism which enables wide-screen VGA and frees up valuable resources on your computer.
Note : Both you and the person you're chatting with will need to have the lab turned on. Remember that you can always revert to standard video chat by disabling the lab.

Resembling the Samsung Armani W820/W8200 feature,the WM 6.5 Samsung Armani M7500.
Samsung Armani features a 3.5 inch AMOLED full touchscreen display,and slide-out, GPS Chip, 5MP camera, 8GB of internal memory, MicroSD card slot, and a full QWERTY keyboard.

The Samsung Armani Windows phone will cost €700 ($1032) and the release date is not yet confirmed.

Design

It’s 20 inch, 1600 x 900 pixel widescreen display is bright, vivid, and responsive and HD video looks great in full screen and the edges of the display is a glossy black bezel which is the major attraction. At the top is a 1 megapixel webcam and stereo microphones.It captures video quite smoothly, and because it’s placed substantially higher than the cameras on most netbooks.

Toward the bottom you’ll find the power button on the right side and four buttons at the left including a Home button that will show your Windows desktop and three buttons for adjusting the display brightness, contrast, and other settings.
Below the buttons are the integrated stereo speakers.

On the back you’ll find 4 USB ports, an Ethernet jack, an HDMI input (which allows you to use the Eee Top as a display for another device), and the power connector. The laptop also has built in 802.11b/g/n WiFi.

The right side of the ET2002 has a DVD drive on the right side, and that’s about it. The left side features 2 more USB ports, the headphone and microphone jacks, and a 3-in-1 flash card reader.

Software
The Eee Top ET2002 ships with Windows Vista Home Premium and qualifies for the Asus Windows 7 Upgrade program. It also comes with a 60 day free trial version of Microsoft Office 2007 and an introductory subscription to Trend Micro Internet Security.

You also get the SRS Premium Sound software which gives you some advanced controls over the virtual surround sound speakers built into the front of the computer.

Speed Test of New iPod Touch Confirms it is Up to 50% Faster

Apple had announced at last week’s special event that the new third generation i Pod Touch is up to 50% faster than the 2nd generation iPod Touch and includes support for OpenGL ES 2.0, which will improve performance, especially while playing i Phone games.

Macworld’s tests show some impressive gains. Boot went down from 31 to 19 seconds. Launching apps went from 12, 20, and 10 seconds to 7, 15, and 5 for Peggle, HR Battle, and Rolando 2 respectively. Web page rendering for the NYT site was down from 34 to 15 seconds, and the Sunspider JS test went from 34.2 to 15.6 seconds.

TU-AW, meanwhile, went to the heart of the matter, and discovered that the new i Pod touch shares similar, if slightly incremented internals over this year’s iPhone 3GS. More plainly, same Sam sung ARM Cortex A8 processor (S5L8922X, however, as opposed to the i Phone 3GS S5L8920X). No word yet on what may be different, if anything about the PowerVR SGX graphic core, but as we heard already, the 802.11n potential is in the WiFi chip.

The second generation i Pod touch was faster than the i Phone 3G, so it’s not hard to imagine lack of cell-radio concerns and slightly new components could push the third generation i Pod touch across the finish line before the i Phone 3GS as well.

Philips SA075 HD PMP

The Philips SA075 is the first player from Dutch electronics giant Philips. It is supports playback of HD video format in 720p (1280×720 pixels).
The Philips SA075 is equipped with an 800 x 480 touchscreen,HDMI output, enabling broadcast content “high definition” to various external devices (monitors, LCD televisions, etc...
Another great feature of the new PMP is the HDMI port that helps streaming high definition videos directly to your HDTV or HD monitor, whenever you want.

And speaking of HD Video Playback, it’s not sure if the Philips SA075 will do it in 720p or full 1080p quality, but we can at least dream of the latter.
But compared to other HD PMPs like RAMOS, it is most likely the Philips SA075 will support 1080p.

All these sound like pretty interesting features that manage to get you into buying mood, but the sad thing, there’s no word concerning either availability or at least a price tag to get an idea.

Can you visit a website without clicking? It's not easy. If you don't believe me, check it out.
Alex Frank's dontclick.it site demonstrates a mouse less user interface. The site requires Flash (you'll quickly see why this is so).
You are allowed one click to start off the interface, and from then on as you use the mouse to grok the interface, you are warned not to click.

If you do so, " you will get this type of screen on your desktop"

It is highly strange to navigate for an extended period without clicking.

Mouse-clicking has always seemed so primitive. We are like prehistoric creatures that can only simple point at something and bark. It will be interesting to see how long it will take for the next breakthrough. Until then we are left with the gillette approach of “add more blades”, but in our world it means more buttons and wheels on a mouse.

Intel's upcoming processors Core i5 and Core i7 870 are supposed to be launched in October 2009 Officially.

Intel Taiwan has been selling its full range of Core i5 and Core i7 Socket LGA-1156 Lynnfield based processors. And it’s not just one shop selling them, literally all of the PC hardware shops are selling them from past one week.

Also range of ASUS and GIGABYTE LGA-1156 based Intel P55 Express motherboards were on sale at computer market in Taipei.

Asus is well renowned for it's miniature series of PC's the Eee Netbook and net-tops.
Asus was successful in garbing the pc and laptop users to their range of products.
Now asus is planning to capture the E-book reader segment.
Asus is bringing up a device to compete with Amazon's kindle and similar devices from other manufacturers.
I guess probably they would name the product as Eee-Reader.
Anyways we could expect a good competition hopefully becoming affordable.

Microsoft office 2010 is the upcoming office suite from renowned Microsoft Corp.
It comes with wide improvements in interface,mail handling,photo editing,improved copy paste operations and wide range of office productivity enhancers.

Major Changes:
Microsoft Office 2010 is the successor of Office 2007.
the major enhancements from the previous version is the Ribbon interface.

Intel Core i9/i5/i3 Latest Processors

Intel's upcoming flagship client processor, codenamed Gulftown will get the higher Core i9 marker. This 6-core chip will have every performance enhancing feature in the book available, including a total thread count of 12, and a 50% increase in L3 cache over Bloomfield, at 12 MB. This chip will retain compatibility with existing LGA-1366 socket, and X58 chipset, and will be available in Q1 2010.
Intel differentiate the processors in series of markers such as "i3", "i5", and "i7" on the merit of performance and features they offer.

Lenovo's ThinkPad W700ds will be the first laptop to offer a second fold-out LCD screen.
Lenovo claims that that the primary display is brighter than any other laptop display on the market, and has a color gamut equivalent of 72% of Adobe RGB which is again superior to any other laptop display.
The behemoth, weighing 5 kgs and starting at US$ 3,600 (approx Rs 2.4 lakh), comes with a primary 17-inch 1920x1200 screen.
The secondary display is a 10.6-inch LED-backlit 768x1280 panel.
Other goodies include pen input with a built-in Wacom digitizer, quad-core CPUs, Nvidia Quadro graphics, two hard drives in RAID, upto 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, and integrated color calibration.

Sony to Launch Android based Mobiles

Sony Ericsson has announced it has become a member of the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium led by Google dedicated to open standards on mobile evices. The company will develop handsets based on the Android platform in the future, leveraging the new user experience with its powerful Walkman and Cybershot lines.
The company currently offers handsets based on the now-discontinued Symbian UIQ and has also recently launched a Windows Mobile device.

Nokia E-72

The leak of a promotional video containing two upcoming Nokia Eseries handsets, at the time labeled E72 and E75, has spawned some digging around a few of the common sources of Nokia info.

Features

* 320 x 240 pixel display
* S60 Feature Pack 1 (OS 9.2; not FP2 love for Eseries apparently)
* GPRS / EDGE / UMTS
* WiFi
* Three variants, presumably with varying flavors of 3G (same as the E71)
* Basically an E71 with a thick candy shell

Beyond that, it looks like the E72 / E63 will see a much-needed boost in terms of camera resolution, possibly even by way of some Carl Zeiss love. From the video it also looks like the size of the space key has been reduced by about 50% to allow the “/” and “@” keys on the left side of the board to be spread out (possibly with volume controls on each key). On the right side, it looks like the control and character keys have been separated as well. Honestly, we would have preferred to keep the wider space key
