PAKISTAN SUCCESSFULLY TEST FIRES A NUKE CAPABLE CRUISE MISSILE - HATF VII (BABUR)

The Pakistani military says it has successfully test-fired a medium-range cruise missile capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

The domestically-developed Cruise Missile Hatf-VII (Babur) with a range of 700 km was test-fired on Friday, Pakistan's military said in a statement.

"The Babur cruise missile, which can carry strategic and conventional weapons over a distance of 700 kilometers, has stealth capabilities," military spokesman Major General Athar Abbas said.

The missile also incorporates the most modern cruise missile technology of Terrain Contour Matching (TERCOM) and Digital Scene Matching and Area Co-relation (DSMAC).

The missile test was conducted to validate the design parameters of the weapon system and a new Missile Launch Vehicle (MLV).

The three-tube MLV enhances the targeting and deployment options in the conventional and nuclear modes.

The missile test comes as tensions between Pakistan and the US have intensified after White House officials threatened to launch a military action against Islamabad, accusing Pakistan of not being serious about fighting militancy on the Afghan-Pakistan border.

Pakistan's powerful Army Chief Gen. Ashfaq Pervez Kayani cautioned the US to think "10 times" before launching a military offensive. Kayani reminded US officials that Pakistan was a nuclear power and nothing like Iraq or Afghanistan.

CIA CENSORS EX-FBI AGENT'S 9/11 BOOK

The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has expurgated extensive parts of a book by a former FBI agent on September 11, 2001 events in a bid to rewrite the history of post-9/11 America.

The CIA did not allow the full publication of a memoir by Ali H. Soufan, the former FBI agent that spent years near the center of the battle against al-Qaeda.

Soufan argues in the book that the CIA missed a chance to derail the 2001 incident by withholding the information by FBI about two 9/11 hijackers living in San Diego.

He also gives a detailed, firsthand account of the US spy agency's move toward brutal treatment of detainees in its interrogations, saying the harsh methods were unnecessary and counterproductive.

Soufan, a counterterrorism agent that played a central role in most major terrorism investigations between 1997 and 2005, has told colleagues he believes the censored portions of his book are intended not to protect national security, but to prevent him from recounting episodes that reflect badly on the CIA.

In a letter sent on August 19 to the FBI's general counsel, Valerie E. Caproni, a lawyer for Soufan, David N. Kelley, wrote that “credible sources have told Mr. Soufan that the agency has made a decision that this book should not be published because it will prove embarrassing to the agency.”

Soufan has called the CIA's cuts to and editing of his book “ridiculous,” but said he thought he would prevail in getting them restored for a later edition.

He said he believed that counterterrorism officers have an obligation to face squarely “where we made mistakes and let the American people down.”

The book, entitled The Black Banners: The Inside Story of 9/11 and the War Against Al Qaeda has been written with the assistance of Daniel Freedman, a colleague at Soufan's New York security company, and is scheduled to go on sale on September 12.

US government employees who hold security clearances are required to have their books vetted for classified information before publication. However, since decisions on what should be classified can be highly subjective, the prepublication review process often becomes a battle.

Several former US spies have gone to court to fight redactions to their books, and the Defense Department spent nearly $50,000 last year to buy and destroy the entire first printing of an intelligence officer's book, which it said contained secrets.

The recent killing of Osama bin laden as the world knows it is nothing more than a fabricated story which was pre-planned.

Osama was never in Pakistan and he could never be. The main thing to focus upon is how a highly wanted criminal ,as the US call him, could be hiding at such a sensitive place which is in full control and under extreme surveillance round the clock of Pakistan Army and its intelligence agencies.

The worth mentioning fact here is that Ex Prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhuto while giving an interniew back in 2003 to BBC during a program being anchored by david frost disclosed that Osam bin laden was murdered by Sheikh Umar. The moment she said this, David frost was so calm as it was a worldly known fact.

But when this program was broadcasted, this portion of interview was very tactfully removed and edited and still there are trillions who are fully oblivious of the fact.

The main Purpose behind all these dramas by USA is to make world realize that Pakistan Army and her Intelligence agencies are not at all able to protect its sovereignty and they dont even know what is happenening just around them.

This is impossible for any intelligence agency to be oblivious of the presence of a key figure which is "the most wanted". This all was pre-planned by the americans so that Pakistan is blamed of hosting and providing shelter to miscreants and the terrorist activities being carried out around the world.

How a country who is the biggest victim of terrorism ,at any cost,could allow such brutalities. The fact is that Osama bin laden was long ago dead and as the US Government knows it can never show world the real Osama Bin Laden, so to close his chapter this plan was devised.

If US has really Found Osama in Pakistan then why don't they show the pictures of dead Osama to the world so that every one should really know that he is actually dead. The only reason for not showing the world pictures of Osama is that there was no existence of Osama in Pakistan and that is why the drama of dropping his body in the ocean has been created.

By doing all this, America has just made an effort to cast aspersions on the capability of Pakistan's armed forces and its intelligence agencies.In this way US would be able to make world realize that Pakistan can not protect itself and soon its nukes will be in the hands of terrorists.

The only thing that pinches USA are the nukes of Pakistan and they just want to disarm Pakistan from its nuclear weapons. This is the only thing for which a series of conspiracies are being planned and executed by US Government.

But by the grace of ALMIGHTY, nothing can ever harm Pakistan as it has been destined to survive such brutalities. In the end Pakistan would be the one leading the world. Ameen .

There is an Islamic, democratic awakening; there is a demographic awakening of huge numbers of young people. So, American strategy for long term is completely out of touch with reality. It is like its economy. Its international policy and its economy are both Titanics which are governed by captains and crew who think they understand everything but cannot see that they are going straight into the icebergs ahead.

Question: Do you agree that the American or British people are totally aware of how they are being exploited in this way?

Rodney Shakespeare: The British people are certainly aware of this. Unfortunately, governmental structures are also controlled by Zionism. For example, two thirds of the Conservative Party are all handing off with various Israeli societies. And that's for sure is much higher than any other country.

Though I'm afraid it's the political structure that is supporting Bahrain. The present foreign secretary is supporting the killing in Bahrain.

Question: What is the key to break this situation that exists between Washington and Tel Aviv?

Rodney Shakespeare: If the ultimate thing here is about democracy, the United States and Israel are linked in with the totalitarian fascist regimes which is totally intolerant and enforces aims with extreme violence and of course has the escape goat which they are trying to put forward must be Iran when Iran has nothing to do with it. So it's up to people to push forward for democracy. I'm very pleased to see the way that the women of the Middle East are coming forward in more splendidly brave way.

So it's all about democracy and we must expose the extreme hypocrisy of the United States. Of course there is no point in exposing hypocrisy of Israel that is beyond correction. They are so mentally violent that there is no hope in changing them whatsoever. But there is some hope in changing the United States and particularly having effect on the half of the American State Department, half of whom are very sensible in humane people. US-led forces during an air patrol in Afghanistan.

Afghan officials say the US-led NATO forces have been using internationally prohibited bombs against civilians in the war torn country.

Last week, over 60 Afghan civilians lost their lives during NATO airstrikes on residential areas in the eastern province of Kunar.

Afghan studies on the unexploded munitions have revealed that each weapon is a combination of cluster and penetrator bombs.

The studies say once the combination bomb breaks into 20 pieces before it touches the ground.

Each piece then transforms into a penetrator warhead which burrows into the soil, causing an underground explosion. The device creates shockwaves that resemble an earth tremor.

The blast kills every living thing within a small radius of its explosion.

An experimental US weapon called Dense Inert Metal Explosive (DIME) has a relatively small but effective blast radius.

A recent US Department of Health and Human Services study has found that the shrapnel rapidly induces cancers in people.

The sturdy comes as thousands of Afghan people have so far lost their lives due to military operations by foreign troops since the 2001 US-led invasion.

Afghan officials including President Hamid Karzai have repeatedly called for an end to attacks on civilians.

Civilians are the main victims of the US-led military operations in Afghanistan.

As long as i was the Prime Minister, i kept a check on the Nuclear Device, but now i do not know what are the plans of the Government.

The suspension of F-16 and its spares will bring the Army to its senses.

THE US SENATOR URGES PAKISTAN TO RELEASE RAYMOND DAVIS

US Senate Foreign Relations Chairman John Kerry has urged Pakistan to release a US Consulate employee who shot dead two Pakistani citizens last month.

The US senator met with Pakistan's Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani as well as Interior Minister Rehman Malik over the issue on Wednesday.

Kerry said on Wednesday that Washington and Islamabad are signatories of Vienna Convention of the 1961which “creates diplomatic immunity” and urged Pakistan to abide by the rule.

The US has boosted pressure on Islamabad over the detention of the man identified as Raymond Davis and has threatened to withhold 1.5 billions of dollars in military and other assistance to the Asian country if it does not set Davis free.

More doubts were raised when the US State Department initially announced that Raymond Davis is an “incorrect name” despite all the official documents he was carrying under this name.

Pakistani police have pressed charges of espionage against Davis, saying he is an employee of the notorious US security firm Xe/Blackwater, working in Pakistan under the cover of the so-called war on terror.

The case has exposed divisions among Pakistani officials. Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was forced to leave office after he allegedly refused to declare Davis as a diplomat.

Qureshi highlighted the significance of an “honorable and dignified way” of dealing with the problem and stressed that “dignity of Pakistan and its people” should be protected.

But Fauzia Wahab, a senior member of the Pakistan People's Party, said on Tuesday that the US national enjoys diplomatic immunity.

The case has flared the anti-US sentiments in Pakistan to an all-time high, particularly after the wife of one of the victims committed suicide over fears the murderer may not be brought to justice.

Why Fauzia wahab is trying to protect that alleged rather it would be more appropriate to say 'Criminal'? What our Government is doing on this issue? nothing but sleeping and trying to give full support to Davis - "The Criminal" under the pressure of US Government. ISRAEL AIRS NUCLEAR SITE FOOTAGE

An Israeli television station has for the first time aired footage of an Israeli nuclear reactor used for military and espionage purposes.

On Saturday, Israel's Channel 2 aired footage of the facility, which is situated in the region of Galilee in the north of Israel.

The outlet's Roni Daniel said the reactor was geared to provide both civilian and military services.

He also said he was not at liberty to reveal details about its performance.

"This reactor's role is to monitor nuclear experiments and activities taking place underground in the world," said a female expert working at the facility.

Israel began building the Dimona plutonium and uranium processing facility in the Negev desert in 1958. Tel Aviv is widely believed to be the sole owner of nuclear weapons in the Middle East.

Former US President Jimmy Carter says Israel has a nuclear arsenal that includes between 200 and 300 warheads. Decades of recurrent reporting and aerial footage have also established the possession of atomic arms by Israel.

Tel Aviv neither confirms nor denies having the weapons, while refusing to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

'FBI INTIMIDATING ANTI-WAR LEADERS

Leaders of the anti-war movement in the US say they have been threatened and intimidated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The FBI raided the houses of several anti-war leaders in Minneapolis and Chicago, searching for evidence of their alleged connection with terrorist groups in Columbia and the Middle East.

Subpoenas have been issued for 11 anti-war organizers to appear before a Grand Jury and they may be indicted for what the FBI calls 'material support for terrorism.'

In a press conference, anti-war organizer Joe Iosbaker denied the accusations, saying the activists have done nothing wrong.

"All we ever did was work against US military aid to … Israel and Columbia … and if the US government wants to call that terrorism, we're all terrorists," Iosbaker said.
Anti-war leaders believe the raids and the subpoenas constitute what they call 'harassment at the highest levels.'

An anti-war group Code Pink says it is frightened as it might be the next FBI target.

"It's shocking, it's outrageous, and it's scary," founder of Code Pink, Medea Benjamin said.

The timing of FBI searches is considered suspicious as they come just a week before a coalition of 40 anti-war groups have scheduled to hold demonstrations in Washington to protest at US President Barack Obama administration's war in Afghanistan.

ISRAELI NUKES WILL SPARK MIDDLE EAST ARMS RACE

Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa has warned that the Middle East will head towards an arms race should Israel maintain its nuclear weaponry.

Speaking at a press conference in New York on Friday, Moussa stated that "It is inconceivable that only one country in the Middle East has nuclear weapons. Why should Israel be the only one?"

"There should be no nuclear power in the Middle East. We need to ensure that the Middle East is free from all nuclear weapons," he added.

His remarks came after the International Atomic Energy Agency once again voted against a resolution that called on Israel to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Under the nuclear ambiguity policy, Tel Aviv neither confirms nor denies it possesses nuclear weapons.

Former US President Jimmy Carter has said Israel has between 200 and 300 nuclear warheads.

Arab states say there can not be genuine peace in the Middle East until Israel abandons its nuclear weapons.
Now the main point to focus here is that why US being a super power at present is not pressing israel to abondon its nuclear weapons.

BUSH TEAM WANTED IRAQ WAR FROM START

Declassified documents have revealed that advisors to former US president George W. Bush had focused on justifying a new war on Iraq as soon as he took office.

Official document released on Wednesday shows that a few hours after the 2001 attacks on the Twin Towers in New York, the then Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld spoke of attacking Iraq.

Papers posted by the Washington-based National Security Archive show Rumsfeld discussing war plans for Iraq just two months after the 2001 US invasion of Afghanistan.

In memos dated November 27, he had listed justifications for the war on Iraq.

Iraqi military action against the US-protected enclave in northern Iraq, discovery of ties between former Iraqi dictator Saddam and 9/11 or recent anthrax attacks and disputes with UN weapons inspections were among the possible scenarios.

The documents released under a Freedom of Information request also show that White house claims of Iraq pursuing a nuclear weapons program based on confiscated aluminum tubes were also fabricated.

It was stated in the two State Department memos to then Secretary of State Colin Powell that "The news was released even before a preliminary assessment of the tubes".

In one of the memos it was written that "The announcement had to be made "in our advantage" and it was important to "get the right story out" about the tubes".

After the invasion, the Iraq Survey Group determined that the best explanation for the tubes' use was to produce conventional 81-mm rockets; no evidence was found of a program to design or develop an 81-mm aluminum rotor uranium centrifuges.

ISRAEL SLAMS OFFER FOR DENUCLEARIZATION

The Israeli nuclear agency has once again criticized efforts by Arab countries to push Tel Aviv into becoming a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

In a speech delivered on Tuesday, Israeli Atomic Energy Organization Director General Shaul Chorev blasted what he called "continuous ill-motivated efforts to single out and to condemn" Israel.

The Israeli official's reaction came in response to a non-binding resolution, which urges Israel to join a global anti-nuclear arms treaty.

Arab states introduced the resolution at this week's annual assembly of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The "proposed resolution is incompatible with basic principles and norms of international law," Reuters quoted Chorev as saying in his address to the IAEA gathering.

As a staunch supporter of Tel Aviv, Washington has warned Arab countries to withdraw the draft resolution, saying it will jeopardize direct talks between the Palestinian Authority and Israel.

The UN nuclear watchdog has so far refused to ratify any resolutions to condemn Israel's nuclear activities. This is while Israel is widely believed to be the sole possessor of a nuclear arsenal in the Middle East.

IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano recently reported to the agency's Board of Governors about the Israeli nuclear program, saying that Tel Aviv was restricting the agency from examining its nuclear potentials.

The report called on Israel to join the NPT and "place all its nuclear facilities under comprehensive IAEA safeguards," with no enforcement measure.

Now point to ponder upon here is that why Washington is unable to persuade israel to shut down its ever increasing nuclear proliferation.The only answer to this question is US never wanted and still never wants to disarm israel from nuclear weapons as they heve especially been designed to be used against the Muslims.

PENTAGON CENSORS BOOK ON AFGHAN WAR

The Pentagon has censored yet another book written by a former intelligence agent, claiming the book posed a threat to national security.

The author of the book, Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer, is a former intelligence officer who returned to active duty for a 30-month period following the September 11, 2001 attacks.

During the period Shaffer completed two tours of Afghanistan.

The book, called Operation Dark Heart, is a memoir of secret operations carried out by the US in Afghanistan and Pakistan which caused huge devastation in Pakistan and still it is prevailing and highlights the United States' lost chance to win the war against the Taliban.

As many as 100 uncensored copies of the book reached the public before military officials put a halt to its distribution. A censored version of the book, with over 250 passages removed, is now available to readers as a list of 'key characters,' abbreviations and locations were removed in the name of “protecting national security”.

Despite the fact that the first amendment to the Constitution of the United States emphasizes on the right to free speech and press and is an effort to deprive the people of this basic right and liberty, the Pentagon is trying to prevent the uncensored version of the book from reaching the public by offering to buy the entire 10,000 print run.

The Pentagon has even attempted to block Shaffer from speaking to the press by using his status as a reserve officer, according to The Guardian.

However, copies of the uncensored manuscript have been widely circulating and the Pentagon's bid to prevent the book from reaching the public has merely given it more publicity.

According to the New York Times an uncensored copy of the book was sold for over $2,000 on eBay this week.

Moreover, the paper, which says compared both copies, claims most of the "national security" related information were already known to the public and can be found on Wikipedia.
