RRR Trailer Launch: Ram Charan to give the grand event a miss

The trailer of the much-awaited film RRR was unveiled earlier today. The audiences have been expressing their delight after watching the grandeur of the star-studded period action drama. The excitement around the iconic spectacle featuring Jr. NTR, Ajay Devgn, Ram Charan, and Alia Bhatt, has increased many folds as it has been a subject of a heated discussion ever since the film was announced.

While the trailer was unveiled in the morning, the team of RRR will be having a grand launch event where they will be talking about the film. The event will be attended by Jr NTR, SS Rajamouli, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt. Ram Charan will be giving the grand event a miss as he is busy with a family wedding.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR was spotted at the Mumbai airport at around 11 in the morning. The actor greeted the paparazzi at the airport before he headed for the event.

RRR is a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively. Apart from this, there are many details that are not revealed, like Ajay and Alia's character for starters, even the song 'Janani' doesn't give out a clear picture about the film or their characters.

The Telugu-language period action drama film is produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments. RRR is releasing on 7th January 2022.

Britney Spears granted power to execute documents for first time after 13-year long conservatorship battle

Pop-star Britney Spears has been granted the power to execute the documents for the first time after the 13-year long legal battle.

On Wednesday, Spears’ attorney Mathew Rosengart appeared at the Los Angeles Superior Courthouse on behalf of his famous client for the latest hearing in the case, as the singer continues to fight an uphill legal battle. Though the matters on the table were relatively minor, the judge granted Spears the power to execute documents herself, meaning “she has the power to do whatever she wants to do,” Rosengart said outside the courthouse after the brief hearing.

According to Variety, inside the courtroom, Rosengart said to Judge Brenda Penny, “Ms. Spears, as an independent woman, not under conservatorship,” should be able to execute documents herself. As of Wednesday’s hearing, Zabel will continue his limited, administrative powers until Jan. 19, the date of the next hearing, which is expected to deal with accounting matters, as well as the petition for substituted judgement. That petition will remain under seal, Judge Penny ruled on Wednesday, stating she is granting the motion “in the interest of protecting the conservatee’s right to privacy.”

Spears’ father, Jamie, appeared remotely by phone and his attorney, Alex Weingarten, was present in the courtroom. Though Wednesday’s hearing was largely focused on housekeeping items, Rosengart briefly addressed some of those allegations, at one point, raising questions as to whether TriStar has “dissipated assets” from Spears’ estate.

Outside the courthouse, Rosengart elaborated a bit, citing previous court filings. “TriStar filed a motion to quash subpoenas that were served on TriStar, as well as Robin Greenhill, and that’s something the court is going to address during the hearing on Jan. 19,” he said.

As for how Spears is doing as a free woman, Rosengart told reporters, “I think she’s commented publicly through her Instagram posts what her state of mind is. She’s delighted. We had a great victory on Nov. 12. She’s a free woman after 13 years of an abusive conservatorship that we believe was corrupted, and I’ll leave it at that.”

One month ago, Britney Spears’ long-standing conservatorship was terminated, but the legal proceedings continue. On Nov. 12, following more than 13 years under conservatorship, Judge Penny terminated the legal arrangement, ruling that it was no longer necessary. Though the conservatorship was fully terminated, accountant John Zabel was given power of execution of the estate trust and power to transfer assets into the trust at the November hearing.

Up until his recent suspension prior to the termination, Spears’ father had been running his daughter’s conservatorship since 2008 when he placed her under the legal arrangement. At the time, she had endured a series of public pitfalls which were magnified by overwhelming paparazzi and tabloid attention. As the years went on, the behavior of Spears’ father came into question, and the #FreeBritney movement put a megaphone to their concerns about the star being held against her own will.

Ever since Spears retained Rosengart — a Hollywood veteran and former federal prosecutor — in July, his firm’s strategy has been very specific and has moved at lightning speed. Rosengart first worked to have her father suspended, before asking the court to terminate the conservatorship.

Salman Khan commences the shoot for Tiger 3 in Mumbai

In May, the Tiger 3 team had to sadly pull down the grand set at SRPF Grounds in Goregaon, Mumbai, after it was somewhat damaged by Cyclone Tauktae. At the time, Bollywood producer Aditya Chopra was against the idea of reconstructing the set — a replica of a busy Middle Eastern market — hoping that in the months to come, the team could instead fly down to the UAE and shoots the sequences at the original locations. Now, after much rethinking, Chopra and director Maneesh Sharma have had the set rebuilt from scratch so that Salman Khan can immerse himself again in the world of the big-budgeted spy thriller.

According to a report, it has been learnt that the Bollywood superstar has reported to the Goregaon set earlier this week. A source informed that, Salman has been shooting for the film at the Yash Raj Studios in Andheri since last September. The production design team was simultaneously rebuilding the set. It will serve as the backdrop for several heavy-duty action scenes where Salman’s RAW agent Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger and Katrina Kaif’s character Zoya will take on the bad guys. The report revealed also added that on Monday, the director canned a bike chase sequence featuring actor Salman and the baddies of the film.

Shortly after finishing the set-piece over two days, Salman Khan left for Riyadh on Wednesday morning. In the upcoming weeks, we will see him hop from one project to another. Furthermore, it has revealed that the actor flew out for Dabangg: The Tour Reloaded show that is slated for December 10. He will fly back to the country on December 11, heading straight to the Bigg Boss sets for the Weekend Ka Vaar shoot. After that, Salman will resume filming of Tiger 3 from December 13 at the SRPF Grounds. The stent will go on till Christmas.

Salman Khan is currently busy with a hectic work schedule. Last month he was busy promoting Antim which starred his brother in law- Ayush Sharma in it.

Riteish Deshmukh turns director; Genelia Deshmukh to make her Marathi film debut

Riteish Deshmukh made his acting debut with the Hindi film Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003. He was cast opposite Genelia D'Souza in the film. Now, almost twenty years later, Riteish will be taking charge from behind the camera as he turns director with the Marathi film Ved which means madness.

On Wednesday, Riteish took to his Twitter handle to share the poster of the film which will also star his wife and actress Genelia Deshmukh. The film will mark Genelia's return to the screen after a long break. "After being in front of the camera for 20 years, I take a big leap to stand behind it for the first time. As I direct my first Marathi film, I humbly ask you all for your good wishes and blessings. Be a part of this journey, be a part of this madness. वेड (Madness)," Riteish wrote while sharing the poster of the film.

Presented by Mumbai Film Company, it is an Ajay-Atul musical. The film also stars Jiya Shankar apart from Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh. Genelia who has delivered hits in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages will be making her Marathi language debut with Ved.

Venkatesh to make a comeback in Bollywood after 25 years with Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala

South Superstar Daggubati Venkatesh is all set to make a comeback in Bollywood after a span of 25 years. The actor made his Bollywood debut back in 1993 with the film Anari and later also appeared in the 1995 Bollywood film Taqdeerwala. Now, the veteran ace actor will mark his comeback in Bollywood with a Sajid Nadiadwala untitled action-comedy which will be helmed by Farhad Samji.

According to a report by a web portal, the film is all gearing up to go on floors early next year and is currently in the casting stage. A source close to the development has informed the portal that Venkatesh will be playing the parallel lead in the film Salman Khan. Adding further the source also revealed that the scenes featuring Venky and Salman will be among the major highlights

The film will also feature Pooja Hegde as the female counterpart alongside Salman. Apart from that, Sajid and Salman are also planning to cast a big name from the Southern industry to come on board as Venkatesh’s romantic interest. Recently, at an event in Hyderabad Salman Khan had also confirmed his collaboration with Venkatesh on a feature film. Well, it'll be really exciting to watch two giants sharing the screen space together.

Jacqueline Fernandez summoned for questioning by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Rs. 200 Crores Money Laundering Case

Just last week Bollywood Hungama had reported that Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez was stopped at the Mumbai airport as she was leaving for Dubai for a concert. Jacqueline was stopped on the basis of a Lookout Circular issued by the Enforcement Directorate, and was later allowed to leave the airport. This, came after a photograph of Jacqueline and conman Sukesh Chandrasekar surfaced clearly displaying their connection.

Earlier today, Jacqueline Fernandez was snapped outside the Enforcement Directorate’s office in Delhi where she was called in for questioning. The said questioning is rather significant as through the process the investigative agency is probing to uncover the proceeds of the alleged crime in the multi-crore racket that Sukesh Chandrasekar operated. Earlier too Jacqueline had been summoned by the ED, while Jacqueline attended the summons twice, she skipped four other instances when she was summoned.

As for the case, the ED has filed a charge sheet at a Delhi court that mentions Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi. In the said charge sheet, the agency claims to have uncovered financial evidence that proves the Bollywood actress had received multiple gifts from prime accused Sukesh Chandrasekar.

Selena Gomez expands her producing venture into Spanish TV and films with crime docuseries Mi Vecino, El Cartel

Actress-Singer Selena Gomez has closed a deal with Univision, and is expanding her brand into Spanish-language TV and film production. Gomez and her production company, July Moon Productions, will produce a true crime docuseries called Mi Vecino, El Cartel (The Cartel Among Us) for Univision’s forthcoming subscription streaming service.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series, Mi Vecino, El Cartel ('The Cartel Among Us'), will also mark Gomez's first Spanish-language series as a producer. The series focuses on the “story of a murder that rocked a quiet suburban town in Texas and launched a multiyear international investigation.”

Mi Vecino, El Cartel' ('The Cartel Among Us is part of a larger investment in streaming by Univision, which plans to launch an untitled global subscription streaming product next year after its merger with Mexican TV giant Televisa is completed.

Besides Selena Gomez’ July Moon Productions, Blackfin a production company owned by Hasbro’s eOne, will also produce the series.

Henry Golding to star in and executive produce the TV Adaptation of Dean Koontz’s Nameless

British-Malaysian actor and TV host Henry Golding is headed to the small screen. The Crazy Rich Asians actor will star in and executive produce a TV adaptation of Dean Koontz’s Nameless for SK Global, which acquired the rights to the series of 12 short thrillers from the best-selling author.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series of thrillers follow Nameless, a man with amnesia who can’t remember anything other than the mission he’s been assigned by a shadowy agency that finds him traveling the country turning predators into prey. The Nameless series was published by Amazon and held the top 12 positions on the Kindle Singles Best-Seller list in June, when the final story was published.

Golding said in a statement, “I’ve long been fascinated by the idea of telling a mystery thriller in an episodic format. But to work with the master of suspense thrillers – Dean Koontz’s Nameless is beyond my expectations. To bring this exceptional series to the screen with my partners SK Global and Mazur Kaplan will be an exhilarating journey as we look to bring a fresh and unique take on Dean’s characters.”

Nameless marks the latest screen adaptation for Koontz, whose works have been adapted for the big screen with titles including Demon Seed, The Passengers, Watchers, Whispers and Black River, among several others. His works have been published in 38 languages and sold more than 500 million copies with over a dozen of them reaching No. 1 on the NYT best-seller list.

On the work front, Henry Golding’s credits include Persuasion, Assassin’s Club, Snake Eyes, Monsoon and The Gentlemen. He broke out with Crazy Rich Asians, which was produced by SK Global. The production house continues to aggressively expand its TV development, with titles including Billion Dollar Whale with Beau Willimon and Before the Coffee Gets Cold with Gail Berman, among others.

Besides starring, Golding will executive produce alongside Sidney Kimmel, John Penotti, Charlie Corwin and Marcy Ross and for SK Global and Paula Mazur and Mitchell Kaplan for Mazur Kaplan.

Nick Cannon tearfully reveals his 5-month-old son Zen passed away from brain tumour

American actor-comedian Nick Cannon’s son Zen Scott has died from brain cancer. Cannon tearfully revealed his child's diagnosis and death during Tuesday's episode of The Nick Cannon Show.

The actor and TV host revealed during the latest episode of his talk show that his son’s death was due to a form of brain cancer known as Hydrocephalus. The youngest of Cannon’s seven children, who was born on June 23, was just 5 months old. The comedian explained that his young son, who had a malignant tumour, was experiencing a build-up of fluid in his brain.

Cannon said he first noticed symptoms, which initially appeared to be sinus issues, when Zen was 2 months old. “I always noticed he had a little, to me, it felt like a sinus thing. It was like a cough. And I just wanted to check it out. Sometimes, early on … babies get fluid in their lungs. So we thought, he’ll cough it out.”

Cannon said that around this time he also noticed that his son’s head was larger, but that this is a pattern among his children, so he and the child’s mother, Alyssa Scott, “didn’t think anything of it,” Cannon added. Still, Cannon said he wanted to have his son evaluated, so he and Scott took him to the doctor for what they thought would be a routine visit and examination related to his sinuses and breathing.

“Immediately we had to have surgery, brain surgery,” he recalled. “We put a shunt in his head, and we were hoping for the best.” The belief, the host shared, was that the fluid would drain out, but Cannon noted that the doctors at Children’s Health of Orange County were still “concerned.” After the shunt was put in, Cannon said Zen “carried on … still just playing with all his brothers and sisters” until this past Thanksgiving when it became clear that “the tumor began to grow a lot faster.”

Cannon went on to speak about the final time he was able to hold his son, during a weekend trip with his family to the beach amid preparing to return to the show on Monday. “This weekend, I made a valid effort to spend the most quality time I could spend with Zen. Woke up on Sunday, got to spend the weekend with him and … I was like, ‘I feel like I just want to go to the water.”‘

Continuing while overcome with emotion, Cannon explained, “I wanted to make sure that I had allowed the sun to rise, to hold my son … for the last time.”

Drake withdraws his two nominations from 2022 Grammy

Rapper-singer Drake has withdrawn his two 2022 Grammy nominations. Drake was one of five nominees for Best Rap Album, for Certified Lover Boy, and for Best Rap Performance, for his song ‘Way 2 Sexy’ (featuring Future and Young Thug).

According to a report in Variety, the decision was made by Drake and his management and the Grammys honored the request although the reason behind the decision is still not known. Rather than giving a nomination to the recipients of the sixth-most votes, as the Academy did when it suddenly decided to expand the top four categories from eight to 10 last month, the voting for those two rap categories will go forward with just four nominees, presumably because the voting period already has begun; Grammy ballots were posted for voting members on Monday morning.

Drake’s choices of nominations were unusual, however. While it is uncertain whether he chose not to submit the blockbuster Certified Lover Boy or any songs from it for the big categories, Album, Song or Record of the Year his absence from any of those categories seems to suggest that he did not. He clearly did choose to submit and was nominated for the two rap categories he has withdrawn. Some have speculated that his decision might have something to do with him being named in lawsuits surrounding the tragedy at the Astroworld festival in Houston last month, where 10 people died when the crowd rampaged during headliner Travis Scott’s set, which featured a guest appearance from Drake.

A year ago, he called for them to be replaced with “something new that we can build up over time and pass on to the generations to come,” after it failed to recognize his peer and fellow Canadian artist The Weeknd in any of its 2021 categories, despite him having one of the top albums and singles of 2020.

In 2017, he declined to submit his album More Life for any 2018 Grammy awards, even though it qualified; the rancor around that year’s show intensified after Jay-Z won no awards despite being nominated for eight.Drake also threw shade at the Grammys during his acceptance speech in 2019, when ‘God’s Plan’ won Best Rap Song. The awards show producers cut off his mic after he claimed awards hold no value.

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on January 31, 2022.

Colin Farrell to return as Penguin in The Batman spin-off series on HBO Max

Irish actor Colin Farrell has officially signed on to star in and executive produce a series spinoff of The Batman in which he would again play The Penguin.

Farrell will first portray the villainous character in The Batman starring Robert Pattinson, as reported by Variety. The series would then reportedly delve into The Penguin’s rise to power in the Gotham criminal underworld. At the beginning of the series in September, Farrell was not attached at that time.

The Penguin, a.k.a. Oswald Cobblepot, is one of the most famous members of the Batman Rogues Gallery, recognizable by his top hat, monocle, and wide variety of deadly umbrellas. On the live-action side, the character has previously been played by actors like Burgess Meredith, Danny DeVito, and Robin Lord Taylor.

Should the Penguin show go forward, it would be the second spinoff series from The Batman at HBO Max. The streamer has already ordered a drama set within the Gotham Police Department, with Joe Barton attached as the showrunner. It is part of WarnerMedia’s attempt to launch a new interconnected Batman universe across all of its platforms.

Farrell is best known for his many film roles, winning praise for starring in features such as The Lobster, In Bruges, and Seven Psychopaths. On the TV side, he recently starred in the BBC and AMC Plus drama The North Water and previously starred in True Detective Season 2 at HBO. He most recently wrapped shooting on The Banshees of Inisherin, which reunited him with In Bruges writer-director Martin McDonough and co-star Brendan Gleeson.

Lauren LeFranc is attached to write the script for the series. Along with Farrell, The Batman director Matt Reeves and the film’s producer Dylan Clark would executive produce the Penguin series under their 6th & Idaho and Dylan Clark Productions banners respectively. Warner Bros. Television would produce.

The Batman is due to be released on March 4, 2022.

Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal Wedding: Complaint filed for allegedly blocking way to temple in Rajasthan

Bollywood couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, who have been very private about their relationship and reportedly dating since 2019, are all set to tie the knot on December 9. The couple, along with their families and friends, reached the wedding venue on December 6 after leaving Mumbai from private Kalina airport. The pre-wedding festivities begin from today, December 7. Ahead of the ceremonies, guests have begun to arrive in Rajasthan. Now, it is being reported that a complaint was filed for allegedly blocking the way to the temple in Rajasthan.

As per reports, a complaint has been filed against Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal who arrived at Six Senses Fort Barwara, in Sawai Madhopur district, which is also known as Chauth Ka Barwara. The location is famous for Chauth Mata Mandir. Due to guests arriving and major traffic, the way to the temple got reportedly blocked. The complaint was filed demanding the road should be open for the devotees. According to News18, "Advocate Netrabindu Singh Jadaun has filed a complaint against Vicky, Katrina, the hotel manager, and the district collector, according to the complaint."

As far as guests are concerned, they have begun to arrive in Jaipur. Apart from Vicky's brother Sunny Kaushal's girlfriend Sharvari Wagh filmmaker Kabir Khan, his wife Mini Mathur and their daughter reached Jaipur airport on December 7th morning. Joining them were close friends of bride and groom Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi.

As per reports, Karan Johar, Farah Khan, Dr. Jewel Gamadia (Katrina's holistic doctor), Yasmin Karachiwala (her trainer), Amit Thakur (hair stylist), Daniel Bauer (makeup artist), Angad Bedi, Neha Dhupia, and Angira Dhar are confirmed attendees at the wedding. The reports also suggest Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rohit Shetty, Hrithik Roshan, and Ali Abbas Zafar might be present but nothing is confirmed yet.

Last week, the District Collector (DC) revealed that a total of 120 top Bollywood and other celebrities will be attending the wedding. DC Rajendra Kishan reportedly told the media, "These 120 guests shall follow all COVID-19 protocols, and fully vaccinated guests will get entry in the much-hyped celebrity wedding." Kishan said that organizers have been instructed to strictly follow all COVID-19 protocols. He said that non-vaccinated guests will have to present a negative RT-PCR test report before entering the venue. "We have been informed by organizers that a total of 120 guests are invited to the wedding and the events will take place between December 7 to December 10," he added.

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui: CBFC reduces lovemaking scene; asks makers to add a disclaimer about the transgender community

Ayushmann Khurrana started his career in 2012 with Vicky Donor, a story of a sperm donor. Despite the taboo subject, the film got acceptance from families. Ayushmann later tackled many bold topics in his films and those movies also never came under the niche or ‘film festival cinema’ category. This has been a major USP for the talented actor and it is something that he only enjoys among all other actors of Bollywood. His next film, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, too seems to be based on a risqué idea. It has now come to light that the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) asked the makers for a few cuts.

As per the cut list of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, five cuts or modifications were carried out by the makers, as asked by the CBFC. Firstly, a disclaimer was added which states, “No person associated with this film intends to offend or hurt any sentiments or feelings of the transgender community. The purpose is only to educate and create awareness amongst masses about the issues faced by the transgender community.”

Secondly, around 8 seconds of the lovemaking shot has been reduced. Then, the dialogue ‘Saali chakki’ was replaced with ‘Chakka kahin ka’. Similarly, ‘F**k’ was replaced with ‘Heck’ and ‘Bund’ was replaced with ‘Band baja ke’. Lastly, India was replaced with ‘zamana’ in a supposed naughty and funny dialogue.

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui releases this Friday, on December 10 but the makers obtained the censor certificate way back on October 22. After these cuts were carried out, the film was passed with a U/A certificate. The duration of the film as mentioned on the certificate is 117 minutes, that is, 1 hour and 57 minutes.

Directed by Rock On (2008), Kai Po Che (2013), and Kedarnath (2018) director Abhishek Kapoor, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui also stars Vaani Kapoor. The film was completely shot in the post-pandemic era, from October to December 2020.

As per reports, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal will be dancing to the beats of 'Kala Chashma' and 'Nachde Ne Saare' from Katrina's 2016 film Baar Baar Dekho. Interestingly, the film's director, Nitya Mehra, is also one of the confirmed guests at the wedding. Reports also suggest that the couple may dance to 'Teri Ore' from Singh Is Kinng. Meanwhile, it is being reported that Ranbir Kapoor songs won't be included at the sangeet.

For unversed, Katrina Kaif dated Ranbir Kapoor for quite a long time. They even worked together in films including Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani (2009), Rajneeti (2019), and Jagga Jasoos (2017).

As per reports, apart from Karan and Farah, Dr. Jewel Gamadia (Katrina's holistic doctor), Yasmin Karachiwala (her trainer), Amit Thakur (hair stylist), Daniel Bauer (makeup artist), Angad Bedi, Neha Dhupia, Vicky's brother Sunny Kaushal's girlfriend Sharvari Wagh, Kabir Khan, Mini Mathur and Angira Dhar are confirmed attendees at the wedding. The reports also suggest Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rohit Shetty, Hrithik Roshan, and Ali Abbas Zafar might be present but nothing is confirmed yet.

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, their families left for Rajasthan on December 6 from Mumbai's Kalina airport. The two of them left separately but greeted the paparazzi.

Both his sisters are expected to attend with their husbands. I think Katrina is also keen on Salman’s parents and Helen Aunty attending the wedding. But considering their age and health they may not be able to make it,” says the source.

Jacqueline Fernandez summoned by ED in Delhi on December 8 in Rs. 200 crore extortion case

Jacqueline Fernandez is currently under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for her alleged links to conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is the prime accused in a Rs. 200 crore extortion case. On Sunday evening, the actress was briefly detained at the Mumbai airport based on a lookout circular issued by the Central Agency. The actress is not allowed to fly outside India and now the ED has summoned her to appear before the central agency in Delhi on December 8.

Jacqueline's statement has been recorded twice before and she is being investigated as a witness in the case. She has also skipped multiple summons in the recent past citing her hectic schedule as the reason. Reportedly, on December 8, the central agency will be confronting her with the evidence they have collected so far.

As per reports, the probe agency has filed a chargesheet in a Delhi court in a money laundering case. The chargesheet said that Sukesh has given the actress gifts worth Rs. 10 crores. The expensive gifts also included a horse worth Rs. 52 lakh and a Persian cat worth Rs. 9 lakh. The chargesheet also included the name of actor Nora Fatehi who allegedly received gifts worth Rs. 1 crore from Sukesh.

Chandrasekhar's lawyer had also claimed that Jacqueline and his client were dating. Amid these allegations, last week pictures of Sukesh and Jacqueline together also went viral. In one of the pictures, Jacqueline was seen kissing Sukesh. According to the chargesheet, Chandrasekhar and Jacqueline started talking in January this year and he later started sending her expensive gifts.

In its charge sheet, the Delhi Police has accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar and 13 others of duping the wife of the former promoter of Ranbaxy to the tune of Rs 200 crore. Officials believe Chandrasekhar extorted Rs 200 crore from the complainant by claiming that he would facilitate her husband's release from prison.

Suvendu Raj Ghosh’s directorial venture Before You Die… is slated for release on the 4^th of February 2022, which is also World Cancer Day. The film’s first song has just been released - ‘Hum Tere Ho Gaye’ sung by singer Jubin Nautiyal. The song is a romantic ballad shot in the picturesque location of Lamhatta, Darjeeling. A slow version of this song has been sung by Deepika Samanta as her debut into the music world.

Deepika’s story of how she landed her first song in iLEAD’s first Hindi feature is a serendipitous and miraculous story. “There is nothing random, Nature/GOD/Destiny is always whispering to you, all you need is the power to understand that at the right time”, says iLEAD’s Chairman and the Writer-Producer of Before You Die… Pradip Chopra.

It so happened that Pradip Chopra was in Mumbai a few weeks back. He had just checked into his hotel and was waiting for his room to get ready. Post-production was in full-swing on his first feature film. As he waited in the hotel’s empty restaurant, a young girl walked into the room and sat down with her electric guitar, and began checking the sound system. She began tuning her guitar to a song ‘Yeh Raatein Yeh Mausam’, which just happens to be Pradip’s favorite song. He is also a singer and loves recreating melodies on his YouTube channel. Deepika then sang the famous alaap the song follows up with. He couldn’t stop himself and complimented her immediately. The two had a long conversation about their interests in music. Before she started with her live show they also sang together ‘Dil Ki Nazar Se’ and had a wonderful time.

Pradip decided to wait and watch her perform live at the hotel and was joined by Director Suvendu Raj Ghosh in the meantime. Pradip had heard Deepika’s story and the struggle she had faced since moving to Mumbai to pursue her dream of singing in the Film industry and instinctively felt that she would be perfect to sing the title track of his film Before You Die. They immediately had a conference call with the music director and decided to record Deepika singing a version of the title track ‘Hum Tere Ho Gaye’.

Earlier Bollywood Hungama had reported that Shakun Batra’s next untitled venture starring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, and Siddhant Chaturvedi was heading directly for an OTT release. We had also reported on the reason for this decision being the high amount of intimate scenes that wouldn’t sit well with the censors.

Dharma Productions - the makers of Shakun Batra’s untitled next have approached both Disney+Hotstar as well as Amazon Prime Video to premiere and stream the film on the platform. However, it is still undecided whether the venture will be acquired by either side, informs a source exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, “Shakun’s film is based on an extra-marital affair, given this storyline, it features a rather high amount intimate scenes which might not fit the Disney+Hotstar mandate of family-oriented content. On the other hand, Amazon Prime Video has found itself in the eye of the storm more often than not in the recent past. Keeping this it remains to be seen which of the two streaming giants agrees to acquire the venture. The makers were also in talks with Netflix earlier.”

An official announcement of the direct to OTT release is awaited.

Taylor Swift and St. Vincent dropped as Grammy nominees for Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Sour’ interpolation

Singer- songwriter Taylor Swift has been dropped from the nominee list for Rodrigo’s album due to an interpolation on the latter artist’s album, but the Recording Academy has now updated its list of nominees and excluded several names that previously were listed.

According to Variety, in removing the nominations on Sunday, the Recording Academy said that its policy is not to include the writers of interpolated songs in nominations, and that it did so in the case of Rodrigo only because of a submission that incorrectly named Swift, Clark and Antonoff as full co-writers. St. Vincent, aka Annie Clark, and Jack Antonoff and Swift all together wrote 'Cruel Summer', a song from the Lover album, which Rodrigo and her camp credited as an interpolation in the hit 'Deja Vu', even though it bore only the most modest similarity to the Swift album track.

The Academy said in a statement, “During the submission process, the Academy received credits from the label for the track Deju Vu. Last week, we received the correct credits from the label that recognize Annie Clark, Jack Antonoff and Taylor Swift as songwriters of an interpolation on the track ‘Deja Vu.’ In keeping with current Grammy guidelines, as songwriters of an interpolated track, Clark, Antonoff and Swift are not nominees in the album of the year category for Sour.”

The Academy’s statement goes on to point out, “Antonoff and Swift are nominated in the category for Swift’s album, ‘Evermore.'” St. Vincent doesn’t appear in the album of the year category, but is nominated for best alternative album for her 2021 release, Daddy’s Home.

With the Swift/Clark/Antonoff mentions having been dropped from the Grammys’ Sour credits, that album now has the second-shortest list of nominated songwriters among the 10 album of the year nominees: It’s just Rodrigo, her regular collaborator Daniel Nigro and Casey Smith. They’re slightly beat in that minimalism by Billie Eilish’s Happier Than Ever album, which lists only her and her brother Finneas as writers. Swift’s Evermore album also has a fairly spare five writers listed. In contrast, Justin Bieber’s Justice Album lists 73 songwriters as nominees and Kanye West’s Donda has Bieber’s album slightly beat by listing 77 Grammy-eligible songwriters. The H.E.R. album has 51 nominated writers, while Doja Cat’s has a modest 35 in line for a Grammy.

The Recording Academy is keeping a page for updates and corrections to its nominations. “This year, for the first time, we are making these updates public to ensure transparency and accessibility to the most up-to-date and accurate information,” a statement on the updates page says. Some of these corrections involve adding additional contributors who weren’t initially listed, or just making spelling fixes.

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on January 31, 2022.
