Wow its been soo long since my last blog post.Honestly I don't love blogging,

I prefer to make videos and talk about my experiences.

However, I think its good to share some experiences e.g. travelling, working, studying etc . I'm going to start a Adventure/travelling segment on my blog!

So im starting a new adventure in Spain.

I am currently in Valladololid a city an hour away from Madrid. Its known as one of the safest cities in Espana, plus it has a beautiful cathedral! I love it here.

Everyone speaks spanish and the 6 years of Spanish I did in school hasn't been put to use yet.
Hopefully in the next 5 months i pick up some spanish.

Its been 5 days so far and im already in love. I already have contacts for people who want to learn english plus I'm working with a great company (INTRAS) they work with people with mental health issues and disabilities. Its great to have some first hand experience in mental health.

I went to a lovely bar with my housemate yesterday, we had sweet wine, it was soo cheap (1euro) and we got biscuits aswell. Everything is so much cheaper than Dublin, plus did i mention the beer here is only 1.20-1.60 euros.

Health and Fitness: Introduction

Hey guys, Im sooo excited I decided to turn my life around and start a health and fitness lifestyle change!
Iv got some pictures of some of the awesome food that I found online. They tasted soooo good. Anyways lets get down to the nitty gritty of this awesome lifestyle change.

FITNESS:
The first excersize I tried was insanity! BIG MISTAKE, it was too difficult but I had my amazing sister there to motivate me throughout Day 2.

My amazing friend Chi suggested I tried doing 5min intensity workouts and that's exactly what Iv been doing for the first week. Iv also been working on some dance workouts by Scoladondo on Youtube. Absolutely loving the afrobeats!( who knew dancing could be sooo fun ).
I ran yesterday for 40 minutes at intervals it was hard and intense, especially as my right leg kept feeling numb!.
Nonetheless, I felt great after, so it was definitely worth it :).

DIET:
Hmm my diet has changed a good bit no more whites, the junk food is completely gone. I now cook! oh WOW.
I eat fruits a lot, my mum recently bought tons of fruits and we cut them up and froze them in bags, which saves tons more time in preparing frozen fruit and yogurt and smoothies too. It is also great for snacking.

Iv changed from milk chocolate to dark chocolate! which I bought in lidl, I dont eat it often think Iv had 1 square in the past week :). NO MORE JUNK FOR ME.

CHEAT DAYS, these are done once a week, I had two cheat days last week. Although, some might not classify it as a full on cheat days. One day i had a few M&Ms (not a whole bag), and another I had a slice of cake and a loot of soda bread :). Soda bread is good but not too much! Pics below

Oat and banana pancake great for breakie and energy in the morning!

hmm corn cakes, avocado, salmon, pitta bread and pesto, so filling when you add the pitta bread :) great for lunch or dinner.

Hmm my favourite dinner omg this was amazing, beef steak with spices, vegetables and brown spaghetti :) hmm yum yum yum. This meal takes the win!

I did Braids and Mane n Tail Challenge

HEEEEY guys so i did some braids, yesterday afternoon I was sooo bored and originally i was gonna do mini twists, but I wanted a bit of length so I decided on braids.

Now as for the mane n tail challenge, im still gonna go ahead and do it Im gonna condition every week and use their leave in conditioner just where my hair reaches on the braids.

As for shampoo I decided Im not gonna shampoo as often, unless my hair needs a wash!, I would love to try a no shampoo challenge maybe during the summer, but for now Ill stick to shampooing once every 3-4 weeks and Ill see how that goes :)

Mane n Tail Challenge UPDATE 05.02.14

So its been 3 weeks now, since I started using my mane n tail, and I have to say I have definitely noticed a huge difference, my hair is always moisturized with little/no use of my shea butter mix, my hair is much thicker and shiny ( i love it ), there are some pictures down below of my big hair, I noticed this huge dramatic change a few nights ago :).

I cant get over ho much shine and moisture the herbal gro gives my hair, Will deffo invest in some more conditioner, perhaps not the shampoo as I would like to stay away from shampoos in the future :)

Mane n Tail Challenge week one 12.01.14

So I ordered some mane n tail herbal gro shampoo,conditioner and leave in therapy after watching some awesome YouTube reviews. Down below are some challenge details

Wash and deep comdition (30min) hair with mane n tail herbal gro shampoo and comditioner.
Use the herbal gro leave in therapy after rinsing the conditioner out.
Then protective style hair as desired.
After 8 weeks I will do a quick hair length check, of the diferent sections of my hair and see the results.

Sugar Scrub

Hey guys been a while since my last blog!

Well im back with a face and body all natural amazing scrub. Sugar is an all natural exfoliator, cleanses and removes dead skin, Lemon juice one of my fav natural ingredients removes dark spots, brightens the skin and gives you that youthful glow :).

The other oils I used are optional, Jojoba oil is great if you have oily skin and it contains sebum which our skin naturally produces, and Lavender oil smells amazing and leaves the skin feeling soft and nourished.

This sugar scrub can be used for your face, body and lips!
I plan on using this scrub twice a week for 6 weeks. I guess I can call it the sugar scrub challenge, Cant wait to see the end results :) Pics down below

p.s. this cost me nothing to make as all the ingredients were in my house, and I used them all :)

Tumeric Facemask

Omg love using my all natural tumeric facemask. Its an ancient facemask used in India the night before a bride's big day!
Im going to share the ingredients and benefits with you all :).

Benefits: Brightens the face, evens out the skintone, gets rid of acne, removes scars, softness and gives you that youthful feel.

Ingredients: tumeric powder (can be found in supermarket), milk, lemon juice, honey.

How to make: Put two table spoons of tumeric powder in a bowl, add 3 table spoons of lemon juice, add 2 table spoons of milk, add 1 table spoon of honey.
Then mix well until the mix is a paste, then apply on face. Leave on your face until the paste is completely dry (10-15 mins).

Tips: You can add gram flour to thicken the mask.
Tumeric can be messy and stains so wear an old t-shirt or nothing at all :)

I used this mask 3 times a week for 2 weeks right after my summer holidays, my face was in need of some beauty therapy and I could see a great difference after the 3rd use.

21st Birthday

Heeey, guess what guys im now 21, so I would like to share all my photos and amazing moments I had with you all mwah. I ended up having a lil sesh in my house and then headed to Madison on a cool party bus. After Madison we went to Break for the border was a good night.
Absolutely love 21st and cannot wait for all the 21st ill be attending this year and next year. Somepictures of my 21st down below :).

Protective Style

heey guys Im back!!!!!

My summer was awesome and during my time working at a camp I decided to do protective styles, and now Im on a protective style challenge yaaaay, so Its a one year long challenge 19th of June 2013 til 19th of June 2014. My hope is to gain 5-7 inches of hair and reach bra strap length yaaay. so down below are pictures of my first protective style and my second one which I currently have on my hair now.

My Box Braids Experience

Hey guys, as promised Im going to blog about my box braids :).

For the past year I have been so desperate to have box braids done. So finally on 16/03/13 I decided it was time for me to take the plunge and I got them done (cheap enough price too!). I had my braids in for a total of 6 weeks 6 days.

I must say my experience overall was not as pleasant as I taught it would be!

Firstly the braids were super heavy, gave me a constant headache, and taking them off was such a relief.

Secondly I was soo busy with college I didn't really get to do much styles with them which was a bummer, because that was one of the reasons why I got them in, in the first place. Nonetheless I absolutely loved the way they looked on me :), It was different and yet unique, low manipulative, and easy to style and take care of. I was free from washing my hair and conditioning numerous times, moisturizing my hair numerous times and also pulling out my hair! ( lol I wont like I pulled out the ones at the front, you'll see from the pics below ).

Over all I don't think I will be doing such heavy box braids for a while!

This is basically how I wore my braids throughout the 6 weeks, the sides tied up :)

One thing I most definitely regretted was pulling the braids at the front out :(

Natural Product Haul

Heey, hows everyone ? so I recently got a few natural products for my skin and my hair, these days Im more into my skin care than my hair :)

Question: hey id Jane here..i wanna get advice of ya!...well im considering being a college drop-out. im the 1st in my family to get to uni, worked hard and have options but like i dont know do i want to be a scientist, or anything to do with it like enginnering anymore....ive a love and flare for business. i recently started working for this company and have alot of career prospects there, that by less then a year i could become assistant manager.....should i go for this love or stick to what i started with and slugg through a 4 year degree programme??.....what you think

Answer: Hey Jane, thanks for contacting me. Honestly Im gonna give it to you straight.

I personally don't think you should drop out of College, as you said you are the first in your family to get into a university, and that's an excellent achievement. If you are unssure if you want to do a course, I personally think it might not be the coarse for you, your only unsure for a reason right ??.

You say you have a flare for business why not do a business related degree ?. Well done in achieving a job in this economy, however not all jobs last for ever, as you know people with degrees in their professions are being let go, so you shouldn't think because you got a job for a company your going to be there for ever.
Dont get me wrong you could progress well in this company and become really successful, but then again in the next ten years the owner of the company could shut it down, who knows what the future holds!!!!

Fortunately for you, Yiour given the chance of education a chance for a better future, a chance to make this world a better place. Cheesy ? I know... however its the truth, whether you achieve a diploma, fetac, degree, or p.h.d, you are allowing yourself to become better for your future and those around you.

Education is the most important thing in society today, and I believe it should not be taken for granted. We live in a country in which our education is so great we can achieve a career in any country.

Taking all this into perspective my answer is NO. I dont think you should drop out of college as we all know most college drop outs dont go back and regret it later on in life.

Im not telling you to do a coarse you hate, but simply telling you to stay in college doing a coarse you enjoy and hope for the best..

1 Year no heat challenge.. and more

Hey there guys so its been a while since I posted on my blog. so basically I decided to try a no heat challenge, for a year, I know long right.. anyways the challenge starts on the 4/12/12 until the 4/13/13, and the challenge rules are.....

1: No heat on hair, no straighteners, blow-drys, curling irons, etc.

2 : Try and do protective styles, no point in taking so much care of your hair by not putting heat in it, you might aswell protect it

3: do Deep Conditioning at least once a amount, a deep condition is simply when you leave a conditioner in your hair for at least 1 hour or more.

4: The second and third rules are not necessary.

Hair ( Lecture 2 ) Transitioning

For those who don't like to watch video and love to read here is a quick outline on what my lecture 2 video is about.

Transitioning: in my terms is a movement from one position to another. therefore transitioning from relaxed to natural hair is moving from relaxed hair to natural hair.

Awkward Stage: The stage in which your hair has about 4-6 inches natural roots and the rest of your hair is relaxed its quite awkward!!!!!!!!

Difficulties: Natural hair takes a lot of time and effort!!!! but its worth it, you will receive negativity!!!, but who cares lol.

Products: Try new things... Do Protein treatments and deep conditioning.

Deep Conditioners and Protein Treatments

Hey there guys so as part of my Hair series I am also going to start doing blogs about the topics that will be featured on my hair series.
So today I decided to make a protein/deep conditioning treatment,
I decided to mix it up a bit seeing as I haven't done both a protein and deep conditioning treatment in a while.

This is a typical video of how to apply a deep conditioning treatment in your hair.

The ingredients I used for my Conditioning/Protein treatment was:

1 egg, 2 large spoons of coconut oil, 1 large spoon of olive oil, 4 large spoons of mayonnaise, 4 drops of tea tree oil, 1 large spoon of herbal essence hello hydration, 1 large spoon of coconut conditioner Alberto Balsam, 2 large spoons of almond and coconut hair mask ( boots ).

As you can from the ingredients I use my treatment was a protein/conditioner treatment.

I'm glad I decided to mix the treatments together and I think I will be mixing them together more often to save me having to do two different treatments a month or every three weeks. This is going to save a lot of time for me when college starts. If you do try this treatment let me know. :)

School/College Series #1

We all know college and school can be stressful, therefore I decided to blog on ways to help you manage your hair for college/school.

1. Make sure you devise a plan

Now when I say plan I don't mean get a pen and paper and plan out a hair life story, I simply mean devise a strategy of what sort of hairstyles you would like to wear during your term time, etc September-October braids, November-December a weave, a weave would be handy for the cold winter months protecting your hair relaxed or natural is vital.

2. Get Your Products

You should get all the products that you need for your hair therefore when school/college starts you wont have to worry about running out of products or running to the stores to get products especially if you are natural and you order all your products online order them now!! 3. Hair Care

It gets much harder when term time starts to keep up to date with your hair care regimen, we all know caring for our natural hair can be very stressful at times, however like my aforementioned statement if you devise a plan you will be grand!
Hair care is not as hard as it may seem mine is soo easy detangle and condition once a week, wash with shampoo once every 2 and a half weeks, and I moisturise once a week after every wash!!! I use my home-made leave in conditioner spritz to mositurize daily. Check the Video Below!!

4. Get your ass intact

Basically get your together, if you want excellent results on your hair! dont let your education affect your beautiful hair lool :)

Wash and Go Hairtsyle

I am absolutely obsessed with Wash and Go hairstyles on my hair.. half the time I dont wash my hair I just wet it with water and style it.
I feel like a lot of people with natural hair get caught up in twist out braid outs, protective styles, etc.
