Is it me or did no one really cover the 2011 Anime Expo all that much? Something tells me because it was July 4th weekend lots of folks might have been on vacation or something. Nevertheless, from July 1-4 the crazy cosplayers came out in droves yet again and did not disappoint.

One Of The JLA Less Dangerous Adventures

It’s hard to assemble the JLA into their own feature film the way that The Avengers have, but this picture shows something that might get them all in the same room. Water skiing! Who knew? Someone get JJ Abrams writing this script right away.
I can just imagine Aquaman thinking “Finally, we’re doing something somewhat relevant to me” as he creates perfect wake with his mind. I presume that they’re being pulled by Wonder Woman’s invisible boat. Or Superman’s just farting and propelling them across the water. Both would be about equally as effective I’d say.

As I am writing this I’m literally shaking my head in agony. There’s such a huge part of me that says “wrong, wrong wrong.” And yet there’s this other part that says “well, she might be hot under there and with that tattoo, there’s no telling what limits this chick will go to.”
I’m so torn right now and I haven’t got the strength to fight the moral battle that is going on each time I lay eyes on this picture.

A Gallery Of Movies As Neon Signs

The internet will apparently never run out of cool movie-themed art projects, and until it does, I’ll still have a job.
Today’s entry comes from Mr. Whaite, who likes to put a bit of motion in his art using the animated GIF as his format of choice. He’s designed a series of movie posters using old school neon signs as inspiration.
He’s gone through a number of classic films, and has really done a fantastic job with these. There’s Batman, The Shining, Spinal Tap, Strangers on a Train and many, many more. Check them all out for yourself in the gallery below:

Miley Cyrus Stalker Arrested For Trespassing

Just when things were getting back to normal in Miley Cyrus’ life, it seems trouble followed her all the way home.
Reports mentioned that a man was arrested around 4am yesterday for trespassing into the yard of Cyrus’ neighbor after he got the houses getting mixed up.
The police are saying they received a call from someone claiming to have made a citizen’s arrest. The arrested person was said to be a 26-year-old man named Musa Danasabe Ibrahim.
The Los Angeles Police Department was quoted saying, “Ibrahim was trying to make entry into Miley Cyrus’ house, but he got the houses mixed up. When we arrived on scene, we found him in her neighbor’s yard. He was arrested for trespassing.”
An eyewitness had reported that Ibrahim claimed “he had a date with Miley.”
Ibrahim remains in police custody, and his bail has been set for $5,000.
Just a few days ago, Miley’s mum Leticia “Tish” Cyrus thanked her family, friends and fans for helping her through troubled times. This was after Miley’s dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, called off his divorce proceedings to Tish last week.
Billy Ray talked about his decision to the ladies on ‘The View.’
“I’ve dropped the divorce. I want to put my family back together … Things are the best they’ve ever been.”

Britney Spears is planning on putting together an all-star female collaboration.
Speaking to Capital FM, the Hold It Against Me singer issued a plea to the likes of Lady GaGa, Adele and Rihanna for the duet, stating that she thinks they should team-up and record a tune.
The 29-year old pop star claimed: “I feel like we need to come together and do a song that speaks for itself and shows how much power we do have.”
She continued: “I feel like the genre of women today musically is just astounding. We can show how our voices can come together.”

Britney Spears Sued For $10 Million Over Fragrance Deal

Britney Spears and her father Jamie are being sued for over $10 million by the company which helped them to secure the deal for Britney’s popular perfume range.
Licensing firm Brand Sense Partners have said that they are owed a 35% commission fee for the arrangement they made between Elizabeth Arden Inc. and the Britney Spears brand in 2004.
Reports have it that Brand Sense believe that Britney and her father made another deal with Elizabeth Arden Inc. in order to cut them out of any revenue.

Christina Aguilera Congratulates Britney Spears On Album Release

The hatchet between pop stars Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera may very well be buried. The ladies had nothing but compliments for each other yesterday, which, of course, they spread via Twitter. It started off with Christina congratulating Britney on the release of her new album Femme Fatale. She tweeted:
“Hey @BritneySpears Congrats on Femme Fatale release! Can’t wait to see what you bring in the next video. xo – Xtina.”
Brit-Brit immediately responded and tweeted:
“Thanks @TheRealXtina. Can’t wait to watch you on your new show. Hope we get to hear that voice on The Voice. -Brit.”
Both performers rose to fame together following their stint as Mouseketeers in Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club. But they had a very public falling out in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s as they battled for chart dominance. Both stars have had public scandals as well, with Britney and her marriage issues and, more recently, Christina Aguilera with hers.
But well done to both ladies for letting bygones be bygones!

Katy Perry Accused Of Copying Gaga In Her New Video

Singer Katy Perry has been accused of copying pop star Lady Gaga in her sci-fi themed music video for “ET”.
In the new video, the 25-year-old is depicted floating in space and is wearing heavy makeup to make her skin look blue and her features alien-like.
However, Gaga’s fans have taken to the micro-blogging site Twitter.com to complain that Perry’s new look is too similar to Gaga’s own recent sci-fi style, which includes prosthetics to make her face look robotic. What do you think? Check out the video below:

Lady Gaga Joins V Magazine As Columnist Calls Her Fans To Draw Her Picture

Her fashion sense leaves a lot of people gaping, but like it or not, it’s never boring. Lady Gaga announces that she’s joining fashion magazine V as a regular columnist.
When it hits the shops on May 12, the summer 2011 edition of V magazine will include a page for Gaga. She is expected to impart her fashion knowledge in a fashion and arts-based monthly commentary.
She announced on Twitter: “I begin next month as a Fashion+Art Columnist for @VMagazine.”
The magazine explained that in Gaga’s first column, she “will be gracing us with the presence of her pen [as] she weighs in on all things fashion throughout her multiverse.”
V is also holding a contest for Monster fans, which is aptly named “Drawn this Way.” Fans are encouraged to submit drawings of their “Mother Monster.” The best one will run as Gaga’s headshot alongside the singer’s column.
The magazine adds, “We are asking all artists, creators and little monsters to submit illustrations of our new columnist dressed in her most studious ensemble.”
Gaga and V will pick the winner together.

Charlize Theron And Julia Roberts Cast In Snow White

Julia Roberts is in talks to take on Charlize Theron as Snow White’s evil stepmother in a rival adaptation of the popular fairy tale.
Monster star Theron has been cast as the villainous queen in upcoming fantasy film, Snow White and the Huntsman, while Twilight actress Kristen Stewart was linked to the title role – although her representative has denied movie bosses have approached her about the part.
It has now emerged that Roberts is in talks to play the queen in a similar project called The Brothers Grimm: Snow White.
The film will be produced by “X-Men: The Last Stand” director Brett Ratner.

Halle Berry is having the time of her life in Malibu, California. On Thursday, she and beau Olivier Martinez step out to grab lunch at a Seafood restaurant.
Earlier in the week, the 44-year-old actress carried two blue bags while doing some shopping around Los Angeles.
On Friday she hit the beach with her adorable 3-year-old daughter Nahla. The 44-year-old actress showed off her bikini top under a black cover up. Halle played in the sand with Nahla and helped her look for sea shells. The mother-daughter duo also dipped their feet in the water. Check out the bikini and couple’s photos below.

Rihanna was snapped having a wild hairdo, while flowing red long locks.
As the Bajan superstar headed home after dining out in Los Angeles this week, the 23-year-old found her hair took up a lot of the car.
The singer teamed her wild hairdo with a simple white shift dress as she dined out at Philippe restaurant in West Hollywood.
Meanwhile, Rihanna showed controversy earlier this week with comments on S&M in Rolling Stone magazine.
She said: ‘I love feeling like I’m somebody’s girl. I love to be tied up and spanked.
‘Using whips and chains is too planned… you have to stop and look for the whip. I prefer them to use their hands.
‘I like to take the reins in my life, but I enjoy being submissive in the bedroom. In there I can be a little lady and have a male who has responsibility for the situation. That’s sexy.’

Kelly Brook definitely isn’t letting her pregnancy get in the way of her social life and last night headed out to London’s Mahiki nightclub with Thom Evans.
The expectant model threw on her peep-toe stilettos and slinky black dress to party with her boyfriend until 2am.
But she still emerged looking fresh faced with her scarlet red lipstick still perfectly in place at the end of the night.
Protective father-to-be Thom, 25, gripped tightly onto Kelly’s hand during the night as they both strolled around with ear-to-ear smiles.
It was the second big night out for the pregnant star in less than a week, as she was snapped at The Box in Soho just two days before. The 31-year-old showed off her growing bump beneath a tight black dress as she headed to the risqué burlesque club in London – known as ‘Britain’s seediest VIP club’.
The actress, who is almost four months pregnant with her first child, tweeted afterwards: ‘Had a fun night at The Box. Best London burlesque I have seen!!!’
And although her beau wasn’t with her that night, Sucker Punch star Vanessa Hudgens also made an appearance with her cast mates Jenna Malone and Jamie Chung.
Kelly also flashed a ring on her wedding finger on Thursday night, sparking speculation that she and her rugby player boyfriend are engaged.
But the ring was absent last night while they were out together.

American Idol judge and pop star Jennifer Lopez has scored her third number one with her comeback single ‘On The Floor’ featuring Pitbull.
This has been Lopez’s first number one single in the UK since her 2005 hit ‘Get Right’, hitting the number one spot for the first time in 2001 with ‘Love Don’t Cost A Thing’.
This is the second time Adele has been knocked off the top spot after ex Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger hit the number one spot with ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’, only to be put back into second place by the ‘Someone Like You’ singer.
Nicole Scherzinger is currently at number five with her first solo number one single whilst Katy B enters the top ten for the third time with ‘Broken Record’.

Britney Spears is reportedly planning to re-launch her movie career, with insiders claiming that the pop princess is already reading through scripts for possible roles.
The 29-year old, who has previously starred in 2002 flick Crossroads, Glee and US sitcom How I Met Your Mother, is said to be “considering” a variety of of projects in order to kick-start her acting career.
A source close to the Hold It Against Me singer told: “Britney is very mindful that she has to evolve as an artist now she is heading towards her thirties.”
“Music will always be a part of her life but she has come to love acting and comedy especially.”
They continued: “She is currently considering a few scripts. One is a comedy and a kind of parody of the pop star she is and the other is a more serious role which is an action movie.”
In other Britney news, Ke$ha has revealed that she would love to go “skinny-dipping” with Spears to celebrate the track she wrote for the Womanizer hitmaker.

Christina Aguilera was back at her favourite Italian restaurant last night where she enjoyed an intimate dinner date with her boyfriend.
The 30-year-old pop diva was joined by her other half as they dined at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, Los Angeles.
It comes just a week after they last dined there and, once again, they were chauffeur driven following their trouble with the law last month when Matthew was arrested for an alleged drink driving offence.
The pair were pictured leaving together in the back of a car, with mother-of-one Christina opting for a leopard print coat.
Perhaps the couple were toasting to Christina’s impending divorce from her ex Jordan Bratman – which will be finalised next week.
The singer, who has a three-year-old son Max with Bratman, has had a difficult year – which started after her album Bionic flopped last June.

Could it be third time down the aisle for Britney Spears?
The twice-married pop star has revealed in a new interview that she may marry her boyfriend Jason Trawick.
When asked if she sees herself getting married again, Britney replied: ‘Never say never!’
Britney has been dating her former agent for the past two years and sources say a wedding could definitely be on the cards.
The pair recently took a trip to Las Vegas with Britney’s two boys Jayden and Preston – where they took in a musical and dined at Nove Italiano.
Sources confirmed that they are like a ‘solid family’ now.
When asked what she loved about Jason, who she described as her sons’ ‘hero’, she added: ‘He makes me laugh and we are so comfortable being ourselves.’
‘We like to stay home, order in, watch movies, go to dinner with friends and we love getting away for the weekend.’
Britney, was then asked about her and Jason’s parenting skills.
She said: ‘With some things I’m strict, with other things I’m easygoing. I guess I’m right in the middle.
‘Jason is just amazing with the boys. Thy look up to him so much – they adore him. He’s their hero.’
