Seo Tricks: The Seven Step Guide

We all have are own bag of seo tricks that we somehow acquired over the years working online and through trial and error method. I will share some of mine in the hopes that you get to try them and eventually agree with me as you will see amazing results.

My kind of seo tricks are not the unethical, deceptive, sneaky kind to manipulate the search engines for high rankings in a short period of time. Black hat methods sometimes work but you wouldn't want to risk your website, get penalized and forever be thrown in cyberspace oblivion would you?

There's nothing like the ,dedicated way to achieve higher rankings for your website that will last a long time. Get targeted traffic and convert your visitors into customers and eventually put money in your pocket. That is always the bottomline in all our seo efforts right? Help solve your customers problems, provide value to their lives and in return increase our business sales. Win-win situation.

There are two parts to my seo tricks: The on-page and off-page optimization.

On-page: These are steps to make on your website or blog.

1. Put your selected keyword phrases that you want to optimize or rank for ,in the domain, website title, website description (meta tag), title page, in your menu/navigation/category.

2. Keyword density on your content at least 3 per cent. Repeat your keyword phrases once every hundred words. Bold,italicize or underline it at least once.

3. Ideally the best place to put your keyword phrase is in the first and last sentence of you post or content.

4. Interlink your main page with other pages on your site. It called internal linking or deep linking. Html code for anchor text is <a href="http://www.yoursite.com>your keyword</a>. This is clickable and in color blue.The anchor text is the link. It can be inbound or outbound (external links). The anchor text is very crucial part of your seo strategy. Remember the healthy ratio is 20 percent internal links and 80 percent external links.

5. When using videos or image change the file name or alt image to your keyword phrase.

6. Do not use a generic anchor text,vary it like "cheap laptop" "discount laptop".

This is how to optimize your website. Remember to tag and ping after you hit the publish button. This is to let search engines know that your website's been updated.

Off page optimization:

This is the strategy to get external links to link to your website. Now i'll say a lot of seo methods work like article marketing, social bookmarking forum posting, blog commenting, linkwheels and directories submission etc. My six years experience working online would all boil down to this one paragraph.

Stick with one traffic generation technique until you have gotten it to work. Maybe get 300 to 500 visitors per day. before trying another new method. And here's the kicker, The best and most effective link to get, is always content-based.

If you do all these consistently, you will be guaranteed targeted visitors, top search engine rankings on a long term basis.

Doorway pages,cloaking,duplicate content or mirror sites,hidden texts,redirects,linkfarming,keyword stuffing are all examples of low brow seo tricks.
