Plot

Latest Dev movie “Sedin Dekha Hoyechilo” is a modern love story, that’s what the movie tag line claims. But frankly speaking this much awaited Dev and Srabanti starer fails to connect with today’s young generation. Story of this Bengali movie is very simple but demanding. All the masala was there for a blockbuster with family reputation, complex love angle and not to forget the songs. But in spite of all these factors, much hyped movie of 2010 has failed to create any impact on urban as well as to the rural cinema lovers. Why?

Acting wise Srabanti once again proved that she has the caliber to remain at top position in tollywood. Srabanti proved that marriage is not a constraint for successful actress career. What to say about Dev? Accepted, he needs to learn acting from acting school, but he has that appeal for attracting mass people which any Director (especially Producer!) wants. No doubt Dev and Srabanti is the cutest and hottest pair currently Tollywood have. In “Sedin Dekha Hoyechilo” also they were looking very charming. Other actor ably supported, but something was missing surely.

It was the most awaited Bengali movie of 2010 as Tollywood’s hottest pair Dev and Srabanti was once again screening together after Dujone. Music, scored by Jeet Ganguly was already a chartbuster hit. And promotional activity of Venkatesh (Producer of the movie) ensured that much needed buzz about the movie was on the air. But the poor execution of story and feeble direction by Sujit has caused the movie to suffer at Box Office. The plot (a Tamil adaption) and climax was the weakest spot of “Sedin Dekha Hoyechilo”. Had the director given some attention to these important aspects, the movie could have been one of the successful Bengali movies of 2010.

The movie starts on the wedding day of Nandini’s elder sister who flees away with her lover. Being humiliated, Nandini’s father starts search for Kavita with five fellows. Dev is one of those men who accompany Nandini’s father. As the movie continues, handsome and striking Dev falls in love with gorgeous Srabonti. Now it is upto Nandini and Abir to decide which will be their priority, love or family values.
Apart from the movie story and other factor, one would surely admit that Dev and Srabonti is the current hottest pair of Tollywood. Particularly in this movie the duo is looking sparklingly attractive. Some part of this movie was shooted in extreme cold of Europe, which actually reflected in movie videos!

Sandip Roy, the director of the film had made a promise to "Feluda lover" at time of releasing Tintorettor Jishu in 2008. And he has proved that commitment was not false. This new movie will have many new things in it. This time Parambrata will not accompany "Benuda" (Sabyasachi) or Feluda as Topse, but we will have a new Topse in form of Saheb. Besides it will be the first cinemization of any Feluda movie based on Kolkata. Also this will be the last movie where Sabyasachi will play the lead "Feluda". From the next Feluda movie we will witness a new Feluda.

The story revolves around the Park Street and its cemetery. The Calcutta in 70’s (that time Kolkata was Calcutta), its nostalgia and the mystery of "Perigal Repeater". The movie starts with the "Trio" went to see the graveyard of Job Charnock (Founder of Calcutta) at Park Street, Where they find some unusual consequence which triggers Feluda to investigate. Once Feluda took the charge of the case, viewers are guaranteed to be on their toe as he with his fellow create a situation of uncertainty, secrecy which results in some creepy game!
