Cleveland Sports: A fans perspective.

Cleveland Sports.

2012-04-03T02:55:00.002-07:00

Alright so I haven't posted in a long time because I haven't had a computer and I've been enjoying life. But as time has passed by I've missed my days of blogging. As of the last eight months I've been engulfing myself in life. Going to football, basketball and even the occasional soccer game. It's been a fun time but I have learned a lot. Anyways, I've decided to start up the blog again and what better to post about then my favorite home town teams? Yes, I'm going to start blogging about the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cleveland Browns. The Cleveland Cavaliers are the NBA team of Cleveland Ohio and the Cleveland Browns are the NFL team of Cleveland Ohio. They've both without a doubt have had their high moments and their low moments. What is the motto in Cleveland sports? "There is always next year." My father taught me that after the "Lebron Decision" in 2010.

Anyways, starting with the Cavaliers, who are currently sitting at 12th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 17-33. They've lost 11 of their last 12 games and currently aren't looking to improve anytime soon with last years number one draft pick Kyrie Irving being injured. Their isn't much to make out of the current situation with the Cavs but hopefully this losing can lead to a decent draft pick? Possibly even another number 1? We can only hope. While currently rebuilding the Cavaliers must look to improve at all areas except point guard and most likely will do so through the draft. As time gets closer to the draft I will post my pre draft Cavaliers selections. (The Cavaliers currently hold a top ten lottery pick, a second first round lottery pick, and two second round lottery picks.)

Now for the Cleveland Browns. The NFL season is currently over and the browns finished just 5-11 and this season leaves Cleveland fans with the same taste of failure they have every off season as the Browns front office continues to promote "patience". In the course of this off season the Browns have managed to lose Peyton Hillis and as usual did not pick up any game changing free agents. So as Browns fans we look to the Draft which is April 26. Because off their horrific season the Browns currently hold the number 4 pick and also the number 22 pick in the first round. The Browns must draft a game changer. They can't afford not to get help for quarterback Colt McCoy. With that being said, my first choice at the number 4 pick is Trent Richardson - Running back from Alabama State. Richardson will be an instant play maker for the Browns and will provide that running offense that they've needed for years. Richardson also brings the ability to take pressure off of McCoy (A must need). Richardson is a pure force and can knock down about any person in his way. Performing greatly during the Draft Combine has helped raise Richardson stock thus making it important to draft him at number 4. It is time for a change in Cleveland and Richardson will be the next step in that direction. Anyways, that's enough for today's Cleveland blog. Moar to come in the offdays. Also, for all you doubters of Trent Richardson and whom may even be considering Ryan Tannehill at the number 4 position, here's a highlight video of Richardson. Check it out and tell me you still want Tannehill.

Big Broher 13

2011-08-09T19:54:00.000-07:00

Alright guys, I don't know if you've heard of this television show Big Brother but it is amazing. It comes on CBS three times a week and honestly is pretty entertaining. I enjoy watching people lie and manipulate to get further in a game that requires these things to win. I bring this up just because i'm going to be posting my thoughts/opinions on this show frequently and was hoping I had followers who also enjoy the show. Anyways, that's a random update, hope you guys are excited for the future post.

Quick Question

2011-04-05T11:05:00.000-07:00

Alright guys, so as of recently I've been reading a lot and some of the books I read are later turned into movies and such and I basically was just curious if you guys out there have a preference as to which you prefer, reading the book or seeing the movie based on the book? Me personally I enjoy reading the book because of the details and the picture it imposes in my head, yes movies obviously physically you can see it but via books you can understand the Characters feelings on certain situations and understand more about them. But yeah i'm just curious. Thanks for reading.

Side note: I put a couple of pictures of Movies that were based on Books.

The Social Network.

2011-04-04T11:09:00.000-07:00

Alright guys, sorry for the late blogging, been very busy with real life stuff. (Celebrating a friends birthday all weekend lol ). Alright so basically i'd give this movie a 7/10. It wasn't like an ordinary movie where it had a bad guy and a good guy, it was a movie that was really down to Earth. Basically two friends set out to launch an online social networking site and in the process they end up hitting some bumps in the road. They find out how life really is, and how when you think you can trust someone you actually can't. Anyways, I don't really want to give the movie away but its pretty obvious what it is about. Ill add a video of the trailer and if you guys like it you should be sure to check it out. Also as far as Acting goes I must say Jesse Eisenberg did an outstanding job, just as well as Justin Timberlake and Andrew Garfield. Full of emotions and reality the movie is a must see for our generation in my opinion atleast. Anyways, sorry for the short blog guys having a bad hangover day, will be a new blog up and fresh tomorrow. Have a good one.

Street Art.

2011-03-31T10:30:00.000-07:00

Alright so a while back I learned about this amazing Street Artist named Banksy. Banksy began as a freehand graffiti artist 1992–1994 as one of Bristol's DryBreadZ Crew (DBZ), with Kato and Tes. He was inspired by local artists and his work was part of the larger Bristol underground scene. From the start he used stencils as elements of his freehand pieces, too. By 2000 he had turned to the art of stencilling after realising how much less time it took to complete a piece. He claims he changed to stencilling whilst he was hiding from the police under a rubbish lorry, when he noticed the stencilled serial number and by employing this technique, he soon became more widely noticed for his art around Bristol and London. Today Banksy continues his Street Art with different styles. Trying to make people realize how the world around them really is. For example Banksy is also credited for the very controversial Opening Couch Gag from the Simpsons depicting people working in deplorable conditions and using endangered or mythical animals to make both the episodes cel-by-cel and the merchandise connected with the program. Anyways, I'm going to put up some pictures of Banksy's work and ill add the Simpsons opening for those who like the Simpsons.

Something different.

2011-03-30T10:44:00.000-07:00

Alright guys so usually I just go on a rant about something, or I post something new about the NBA but today I will actually be giving my own personal review of a movie. Crazy right? Anyways, todays movie i'm going to review is Easy A. It has the actress Emma Stone in it and I must say she plays her character perfect. I found her to be witty and interesting during the whole movie. I loved her role and honestly just because of how well she did I would easily recommend this movie to anybody. Alright so the movie is basically about a girl who goes to High School and by some crazy misunderstanding a rumor about her spreads and the movie basically takes you on her journey of how a little lie about her weekend turned into a giant catastrophe. Anyways, I'd give the movie personally an 8 out of 10 and like I said would recommend it to anyone. Anyways, here's a trailer of the movie and if you like it be sure to check it out. Anyways, as always thanks for reading.

Mainstream Music.

2011-03-29T13:29:00.000-07:00

So I've noticed recently that a majority of the bloggers here either do not like or do not listen to Mainstream Music and I thought that was cool since where i'm from everyone is constantly listening to just the most "recent" up and coming music. I personally do not listen to just what is on the Radio but to everything. I like to enjoy my music, not judge it. Anyways, thats my rant for today, speaking of music that isn't Mainstream here's a lil something by a couple of guys who make up a hip hop group called "Chiddy Bang". Majority of the people do not know who Chiddy Bang is and it sucks because they're really talented. If you like this song be sure to check out other songs by Chiddy Bang.

Amazing Movie Quotes.

2011-03-24T14:50:00.000-07:00

Alright so today I felt like posting something different. So for those of you who have never seen the movie the quote i'm posting is from the Movie Fight Club. It has famous actors Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. The movie was based off the book Fight Club by Author Chuck Palahniuk. Anyways, I personally really liked this quote and thought perhaps other would also. So without further ranting here's the quote and ill post the video of the quote also so you can feel the emotion that the actor is speaking with.

Tyler Durden: Man, I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.

Sports Blog

2011-03-23T16:12:00.000-07:00

Alright guys so as of today, March 23rd, the Chicago Bulls have taken the top seat in the Eastern Conference. . The Heat continues to struggle with problems finishing games and have recently been collapsing in the fourth quarter. The NY Knicks are currently in 7th spot for the Eastern Conference and are struggling as well as the Heat. Recently in a lost to the Boston Celtics the NY Knicks were out scored 33 to 17 in the fourth quarter. Things not looking good in the Eastern Conference.

Now for the Western Conference. The Lakers look to three-peat as they're currently on a 12-1 winning streak since the All-Star break and have been performing at there usual playoff level. San Antonio is currently first in the Western Conference but during a game against the Charlotte Bobcats Tim Duncan apparently landed on his ankle oddly and had to leave the remainder of the game. Since then the Spurs have only released that Tim Duncan will have to miss a few weeks but should be back for the playoffs. And the last time i'm going to talk about from the Western Conference is the Denver Nuggets. Since the trade between the Nuggets and Knicks people all thought that the Knicks got the 'good' side of the deal, well the Nuggets are currently ten and four since the trade while the knicks are six of six. Thus meaning that the Nuggets are actually doing better without Carmelo Anthony. So to the Nuggets I say congratz. Anyways thanks for listening as always.

PS: Added a clip of Derrick Rose highlights of this year, man what a great player he is turning out to be. Perhaps the next Jordan? The kid is ranking in top 10 on points and assist.

A long day.

2011-03-22T11:28:00.000-07:00

Don't you guys hate when you have a day that is going to so slow that it seems like its taking forever? Or have you ever been sitting in a class, or at work just looking at the clock counting minute by minute down as if it were your last? Have you ever just wanted to be outside doing whatever you want? I hate having to plan things as often as I do because I do work and go to school and alot of the time I never can just goof off like I wanna. Anyways todays blog is kinda short but tell me in comments below your thoughts on long days. Do you like them, hate them, or don't care about them at all? Thanks for listening.

Los Angeles Lakers beat San Antonio Spurs in a blowout, quite disappointing for the Spurs.

Big Basketball games today!

2011-03-06T07:38:00.000-08:00

Alright guys its Sunday and what better to do on your Sunday then watch sports? We have two great match ups today between top Eastern Conference teams and top Western Conference teams.

Game 1 we have Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls competing against there rival for the top spot in the Eastern Conference, The Miami Heat. The Miami Heats star Lebron James has been battling Derrick Rose all year for the Most Valuable Player(MVP) of the year award. This game could possibly be the deciding factor between who goes home with that title. Check it out today on ABC at 1 PM ET.

In Game 2 we have Kobe Bryant and the two time defending champions the Los Angeles Lakers versus the Current top spot in the Western Conference and perhaps the best Spur team the NBA has ever seen. The Lakers have been playing amazing since the All Star Break, but can they really beat a team as good as the Spurs? Check it all out today on ABC at 3:30 PM ET.

PS: For all you Europeans out there I will broadcast the results of the games after they're over on my blog in tonights post, so check it out!

Amazing freestyle.

2011-03-05T12:13:00.000-08:00

Alright so recently I was browsing through freestyles on Youtube of different artist and found this really amazing freestyle between Asher Roth and Kid Cudi. I listened to the freestyle and was shocked at how well Asher did. I expected Cudi to do good because I've always enjoyed his music but Asher did quite well for someone who isn't talked about as often as should be. Anyways here's the video of the freestyle, check it out, its good.
