Watch The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 Online Free With Streaming Quality

2012-04-10T06:59:00.000-07:00

Movie : The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1

Release Date : November 18, 2011

Studio : Summit Entertainment

Director : Bill Condon

Screenwriter : Melissa Rosenberg

Starring : Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner

Official Website : breakingdawn-themovie.com

IMDB Rating : 3.8

Story : OK, Twilight fans! Come and get it!

Your second-last instalment in the saga is being served just the way you like it : drab to the eye, bland on the palate, and room-temperature at all times, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Non-Twilight fans, you should know what to do by now. Be rest assured the series hasn’t suddenly got good when you weren’t looking.

So, what is the go with Breaking Dawn Part 1?

Well, like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the Twilight producers have carved the franchise finale in two.

Mainly so they can double-dip into the purses of Twilight’s massive, predominantly tween-age fanbase.

No real crime in that.

The reel crime is how little is allowed happen in such a long running time.

Proceedings get off to a promising, almost deceptively pacy start.

(Girls, don’t show up late. Taylor Lautner’s hunky werewolf Jacob is only seriously taking his shirt off just the once. This momentous event occurs inside the first minute. You have been warned.)

The opening act is quite rightly given over to the wedding everyone who ever bought a book by Stephenie Meyer has been waiting for.

The mortally foxy Bella (Kristin Stewart) and the immortally vampiric pin-up Edward (Robert Pattinson finally tie the knot. Which means, umm, they’re finally free to kiss (and stuff) all they want. We used to have to wait an entire movie for that.

Then comes a short honeymoon in Brazil during which Bella falls pregnant, like, immediately. Then Edward, worried that breeding a bloodsucker may be too much for his human bride, quickly hauls her back to the House of Cullen in the woods.

And then, nothing.

Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 locks into a miserable storytelling loop for well over an hour. While Bella wastes away to a near-death state awaiting the birth, Edward and Jacob bicker, buddy-up and bicker some more.

The cliffhanger ending, when it finally does lumber into view, is fairly out-there material by Twilight standards.

Rabid readers of the Twilight books already know all about Bella’s unusually problematic delivery of her first-born.

Let me assure any newbie Twi-hards out there, such a sight is not for the faint-hearted.

The series-closing Part 2 will be here this time next year. Only 364 sleeps to go, then.

Genre: Documentary

Official Website: Not Available

IMDB Rating: 5.9

Story: Genesis P-Orridge has been one of the most innovative and influential figures in music and fine art for the last 30 years. Celebrated by critics and art historians as a progenitor of "industrial music", his innovations have transformed the character of rock and electronic music while his prodigious efforts to expand the boundaries of live performance have radically altered the way people experience sound in a concert setting.

Defying artistic boundaries, Genesis has re-defined his art as a challenge to the limits of biology. In 2000, Genesis began a series of surgeries in order to more closely resemble his love, Lady Jaye (née Jacqueline Breyer), who remained his other half and artistic partner for nearly 15 years. It was the ultimate act of devotion, and Genesis's most risky, ambitious, and subversive performance to date: he became a she in a triumphant act of artistic self-expression.

This is a love story, and a portrait of two lives that illustrate the transformative powers of both love and art. In warm and intimate images captured handheld, Marie Losier crafts a labyrinthine mise-en-scene of interviews, home movies, and performance footage.

Movie: The Salt of Life

Release Date: March 2, 2012 (limited)

Studio: Zeitgeist Films

Director: Gianni Di Gregorio

Screenwriter: Gianni Di Gregorio, Valerio Attanasio

Starring: Gianni Di Gregorio, Valeria De Franciscis, Alfonso Santagata

Genre: Comedy

Official Website: ZeitgeistFilms.com/TheSaltofLife

IMDB Rating: 6.0

Story: Italian filmmaker Gianni Di Gregorio is a little like his compatriot Nanni Moretti – he writes, directs and stars in his own idiosyncratic movies. There is a semi-autobiographical feel to Di Gregorio’s films as they deal with the regrets, longings, frustrations and mid-life crises of a man approaching old age. After a lifetime of acting in the theatre, working as an assistant director and screenwriter (the blistering crime drama Gomorrah, etc), Di Gregorio came to film directing late, making his debut at the age of 60 with Mid-August Lunch. His sophomore film, co-written with Valerio Attanasio, is a sharply written, poignant, melancholic and bittersweet comedy, which explores a number of similar themes.

In The Salt Of Life, the director himself tackles the role of Gianni, his cinematic alter ego, a retired 60-year-old who sees himself as still leading an active life. Not for him is the habit of sitting around outside the corner store talking about sports and other trivial matters with a number of other sad and miserable senior citizens.

Although he is surrounded by family – his wife (Elisabetta Piccolomini), from whom he is separated, his daughter (played by his real life daughter Teresa) and her slacker pot-smoking hippy boyfriend Michelangelo – he still feels lonely and unfulfilled. He runs various errands for his neighbours, and constantly worries about his elderly mother (feisty 96-year-old Valeria De Franciscis, reprising her role from the first film) who lives in an aged care facility.

Then his macho lawyer friend Alfonso (Alfonso Santagata) suggests casually that he should find himself a young mistress, “like every other senior Italian male.” Amongst those he has romantic notions for are his mother’s pretty young carer (Kristina Cepraga), the ditzy girl who lives on the floor below (Aylin Prandi), the recently divorced daughter of one of his mother’s friends, and a former friend from his schooldays. There is also an expensive and embarrassing double date with Alfonso and two pretty blond twins (Laura and Silvia Squizzato).

Despite his best efforts, Gianni just doesn’t have any success, and his attempts to find love end in disaster. Gianni completely misreads the situations and their attitude towards him.

Like his first film, The Salt Of Life is filmed in the working-class district of Trastevere, where di Gregorio was born and raised, and these locations add authenticity to the material. The jaunty soundtrack from Ratchev and Carratello adds to the upbeat atmosphere. There is a genuine sense of affection for many of the characters here. Most of the characters share their first name with that of the actors playing them, which further adds to the heightened reality of the film. The dialogue has a natural feel and rhythm that suggests much of it was improvised.

In particular, De Franciscis is a stand out, and she has a wonderful scene stealing presence as Gianni’s poker playing mother. With his hang dog expression, world weary attitude, air of decency, cynical observations, and a hint of vulnerability, Di Gregorio seems like an Italian cross between Robert Mitchum and Law & Order’s Jerry Orbach. But his self-effacing style is also reminiscent of Woody Allen.

This slight, gentle comedy lacks any big laughs, and some in the audience may find the film occasionally dull and laboured. However, with a relatively short running time of 90 minutes it never quite outstays its welcome.

Watch Boy Online Free With Streaming Quality

2012-02-29T00:26:00.000-08:00

Movie: Boy

Release Date: March 2, 2012 (limited)

Studio: Paladin

Director: Taiki Waititi

Screenwriter: Taiki Waititi

Starring: James Rolleston, Te Aho Eketone-Whitu, Taika Waititi

Genre: Comedy, Drama

Official Website: Boythefilm.com

IMDB Rating: 7.3

Story: Taika Waititi's second feature film (after Eagle vs. Shark and episodes of TV's Flight of the Conchords), is a coming-of-age comedy/ drama set in the '80s, East Coast, New Zealand.

Boy (James Rolleston) is obsessed with Michael Jackson - in particular, his dance moves - and his little brother Rocky (Te Aho Eketone-Whitu) possibly possesses 'powers'. The pair are trying to find their potential (and the meaning of the word "potential") while living in the shadow of their larger-than-life dad, Alamein (Waititi).

In Boy's eyes, his dad is a hero: a deep-sea diver, war veteran, rugby captain, world record holder for beating up the most amount of people with one hand and close relation of Michael Jackson. But in reality Alamein is doing seven years in jail and is a member of the three-man Crazy Horses gang. Now out of the can, Dad returns home and Boy is confronted with the man he thought he remembered.

This is a beautiful looking rural family tale with superb acting but overall it falls a bit short of the mark or the brilliance of Whale Rider, which I have already heard it compared to. It has won the "Best Feature Film award at the Berlin International Film Festival and nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance.

It is being marketed as a comedy but in reality this is a fairly deep emotional drama about child abandonment and bad parenting. The first words out of my mouth after the screening were "it's very quaint". This isn't really the marketing tagline you want for a film. I was expecting more. I found most of the comedy was seen in the trailer and the rest of it is good drama.

Waititi's direction is great and reflects the rural life and hard times that must be faced by a lot of young teenagers in these remote areas who are just discovering there is a much larger world out there. And deep down he really captures the realisation of discovering your parental figure is not the epitomy of cool you have dreamed they would be. He delivers a heartfelt film that begins as a comedy but gradually pulls back curtains and shows you a very sad tale of parental neglect and highlights that a lot of men should really wear condoms and should never become parents.

What makes this film is the casting and acting. James Rolleston is just superb as BOY - for someone who has never acted before and was cast three days before shooting he really makes this film. Listening to a radio interview with Rolleston and Waititi this week he says he just "wanted to try something different" and that he was told what to do and placed in front of the camera where he "just did it". Now that is acting for you - way to go James!!! Te Aho Eketone-Whitu (try saying that a few times) as Rocky is just as good, he carries a deep hurt that he killed his mother during child birth and you can see every emotion through his eyes, it is great to watch him onscreen. Without a care in the world or even realising it these two boys deliver a very powerful performance that is very sad and told through a cloud of humour. And, of course, Waititi plays the asshole father perfectly. I believe I told my viewing partner, Glen, during the film that he deserved to have his head kicked in - so I believe this means he did his job well.

Another thing this film achieved was making me fall in love with NZ all over again - god I love that place, it is so beautiful. BOY is out now on a limited release and it is a pretty decent family film to watch.

Movie: Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie

Release Date: March 2, 2012 (limited)

Studio: Magnet Releasing (Magnolia Pictures)

Director: Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim

Screenwriter: Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim

Starring: Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim, Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis, John C. Reilly, Robert Loggia, Jeff Goldblum, Will Forte, William Atherton, Erica Durance

Genre: Comedy

Official Website: TimandEricmovie.com

IMDB Rating: 5.8

Story: Cult weirdoes Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim define their small-screen oeuvre with delirious excess and unrepentant weirdness, but their cult television shows look positively austere compared to their cinematic directorial and starring debut, Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie. The film’s ramshackle plot finds a slicked-up Tim & Eric spending $1 billion on a “film” that doesn’t stand a chance of recouping its budget, especially given its three-minute run time. This naturally enrages the heads of a sinister multinational corporation run by a perpetually apoplectic Robert Loggia.

Tim & Eric desperately need to pay back their billion-dollar debt to Loggia. Thankfully, an opportunity to make exactly that much arrives when eccentric, Top Gun-loving businessman Will Ferrell (who also produced, along with Adam McKay and Chris Henchy) offers anyone an opportunity to make a billion dollars by running a mall so rundown and hellish, it looks like the last commercial enterprise of a post-apocalyptic future. (Or something found in one of Detroit’s nicer neighborhoods.)

The mall’s inhabitants include sickly, semi-feral John C. Reilly, an angry sword-shop proprietor (Will Forte), an incongruously dignified man who runs a used-toilet-paper outlet, and a somewhat-attractive middle-aged woman who inspires intense sexual competition between Tim & Eric. Billion Dollar Movie features one of the most graphic, viscerally unnerving sex scenes in recent memory; it’s a testament to the film’s chutzpah and eagerness to push boundaries that something infinitely more disgusting (involving children, no less) is happening at the same time. Freed from the restrictions of cable television, Tim & Eric are able to let their warped imaginations run wild, and they’ve never been the type to rein themselves in.

Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie boasts the courage of its lunatic convictions. Rather than attempting to broaden the duo’s fan base, it seems gleefully intent on scaring away mainstream audiences. In a timid comic world, Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie feels genuinely dangerous and transgressive: it makes a virtue of going way too far because other comedies don’t go far enough.

Robert De Niro co-stars as his father, a drunk who left Nick and mother Julianne Moore--and now he's coincidentally turned up at the aforementioned homeless shelter. Ut ohhhhh! How will De Niro handle this belligerent father-son relationship when it no longer make sense to shout "Focker!" as hilarious catharsis? How long will it take Julianne Moore to break down weeping? Movie: Project X

Release Date: March 2, 2012

Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures

Director: Nima Nourizadeh

Screenwriter: Matt Drake, Michael Bacall

Starring: Kirby Bliss Blanton, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Oliver Cooper, Alexis Knapp, Thomas Mann, Miles Teller

Genre: Comedy

Official Website: ProjectXthemovie.com

IMDB Rating: N/A

Story: Directed by newcomer Nima Nourizadeh and co-scripted by Scott Pilgrim/21 Jump Street writer Michael Bacall and relative unknown Matt Drake, Project X is bringing some fresh creative talent behind the camera to match its cast of fresh faces. The story (as it is) revolves around high school senior Thomas (Thomas Mann) and his two friends J.B. (Jonathan Daniel Brown) and Costa (Oliver Cooper), as they exploit Thomas’ parent-free home in Pasadena to throw the mother of all birthday parties that will hopefully result in their names being scribed in the hallowed pages of high school legend. But as with any rolling snow ball, the boys’ party gets too big, and starts speeding downhill too fast for them control.

Sporting taglines like “Best Part Movie Ever!” or “Parents’ Worst Nightmare” or the PR-approved slogan “The Event That Will Turn Losers Into Legends,” Project X is positioning itself to become THE party movie of a new generation. I’m loath to admit it, but in my high school years the big party movie was Can’t Hardly Wait; it seems (upon initial glance) that this generation is getting the better end of the deal.

As far as Project X‘s qualifications as a good movie? Well, the premise is pretty basic, there isn’t going to be a whole lot of acting talent to speak of, and the story is one we’ve seen over and over agin on film. It pretty much boils down to whether or not the screenwriters and director have concocted a series of entertaining situations like those we saw in the trailer (roof jumps, flamethrowers, taser-based confrontations with neighbors). So far, it looks as though they have – and the R-Rating promises that there is more bad behavior yet to be seen.

Project X will be in theaters on March 2, 2012.

Story: Behold your very first look at the CG-animated whiskers of Dr. Seuss' Lorax, the curmudgeonly creature who speaks for the trees. Plus, it turns out the Lorax will be voiced by Danny DeVito!

USA Today has the first-ever glimpse of The Lorax, which is being made by the same people who made Horton Hears a Who.

According to the article, The Lorax will be voiced by Danny DeVito and the evil Once-ler will be voiced by Ed Helms (The Hangover.) And a new baddie will be played by Rob Riggle (whose character, O'Hare, is a fresh air salesman). Also lending their voices to this film are Zac Efron, who will play the little boy in the beginning of the tale named Ted, and Betty White, who is taking on the part of his grandmother

The original story, written by Dr. Seuss, was published in 1971. Here's the official

The now remorseful Once-ler—our faceless, bodiless narrator—tells the story himself. Long ago this enterprising villain chances upon a place filled with wondrous Truffula Trees, Swomee-Swans, Brown Bar-ba- loots, and Humming-Fishes. Bewitched by the beauty of the Truffula Tree tufts, he greedily chops them down to produce and mass-market Thneeds. ("It's a shirt. It's a sock. It's a glove. It's a hat.") As the trees swiftly disappear and the denizens leave for greener pastures, the fuzzy yellow Lorax (who speaks for the trees "for the trees have no tongues") repeatedly warns the Once-ler, but his words of wisdom are for naught...

The Lorax should be in theaters March 2nd, 2012.

Director: Stuart Beattie

Genre: Action, Thriller

IMDB Rating: 6.2

Story: Right o, I don’t want to spoil the experience for you guys, so I’m going to keep this short and sweet.

On June 16, 2009, Screen Australia announced that John Marsden’s “Tomorrow, When The War Began” was to be made into a film. After a short bout of unintentional girlish squealing, similar to what I’m told is commonly seen throughout Twilight films, I managed to calm myself and began thinking about what this means to the thousands of fans. A story that means so much to so many people was about to be reinvented for the big screen. Many concerns were voiced from fans, and admittedly, I had my own.

Ellie (played by Caitlin Stasey) is Tomorrow’s protagonist. For me, Ellie was what had to be right in the film adaptation, above anything else. It’s her story, and if she wasn’t played right, the film would fall apart. After “officially” waiting since 2004 for a Tomorrow film, my concerns were well and truly quashed, when I saw the film a week ago at its world premiere in Sydney.

Caitlin, we want to hug you.

The chemistry between the cast was outstanding, from the very faithful, perfectly written and delivered dialogue, to the subtle glances and natural reactions between each actor.

The locations were beautiful. The opening shots of Wirrawee and the surrounding land, following Ellie’s camcorder introduction, particularly stuck with me.

Each character is introduced early on, faithfully to how they were in the novel, and what surprised me more than anything throughout the film was how funny certain scenes were. Homer’s (Deniz Akdeniz) introduction in the beginning, where he exits a police station wearing a t-shit with “F#@K THE POLICE” printed on the front, particularly comes to mind. As we know, upon returning from Hell (which was breathtakingly beautiful, needless to say), the group finds their homes deserted, and make their way into town to suss things out. This is the turning point for the film, where the group and the audience are violently thrown into the war.

Stuart Beattie has put a lot of emphasis on giving each character a strong personality. The humour present in the novel has been really accentuated, along with the characters’ transitions into living in a war zone. Several scenes were changed, and several scenes were written from scratch, but it all works. Chris (Andy Ryan) and Robyn (Ashleigh Cummings) have been altered in several ways in the film, as mentioned by John Marsden, but this also works. Chris is uniquely loveable in a way that wasn’t really present in the novel, and Robyn has been given a much more obvious point of normal-life to war-life transition, which was incredibly moving.

Being objective is almost impossible for me, having waited for a Tomorrow film for so long, having had my own ideas on how it should be done, and seeing the ideas of many other people. I did however manage to walk into the cinema with a clear mind, hoping for something good but having no expectations… and I left the cinema jumping. I’ve been buzzing since, and will be seeing Tomorrow: When The War Began many more times, when it’s officially released.

Movie: The Fairy

Release Date: February 24, 2012 (NY)

Studio: Kino Lorber

Director: Dominique Abel, Fiona Gordon, Bruno Romy

Screenwriter: Dominique Abel, Fiona Gordon, Bruno Romy

Starring: Dominique Abel, Fiona Gordon, Bruno Romy

Genre: Comedy

Official Website: Not Available

IMDB Rating: 6.7

Story: Masters of burlesque Dominique Abel and Fiona Gordon have a reputation for entertaining audiences worldwide. With their new comedy released next week, the artists say the best way to help a clown be funny is “not to tell him what to do”.

“The challenge is to make people laugh. And make a message of humanity, but not with a hammer and a nail,” Fiona Gordon explains.

The Belgian-Canadian duo came together two decades ago. Now their latest comedy The Fairy is about to hit on screens in America and will be released on DVD in Russia.

With fans as far afield as Japan to Belgium to Brazil, how do they know that something is funny?

“That’s always the biggest problem,” Fiona replies. “We don’t!” We never know until the first audience sees the film,” the actress told RT.

“The first rule is that it has to make us laugh,” her partner Dominique adds. “We use a lot of improvisation in the process of creating. We spend a few months finding a simple story – touching but simple – and then we try it out. That’s where it can flourish, or it can be very bad and deceiving,” Abel explains

Body language, the clown actors reveal, is vital for them. Does the body never lie, though?

“Well, it does lie, but that’s what is interesting,” Fiona agrees. “Different actions can contradict what the person is trying to communicate and make you understand that it’s not exactly what the person is thinking. You can also exaggerate and say more than what’s meant, because we have little control of what our bodies say, much less control than we do of what we say. When you speak you reflect on what you’re going to say, and we are not used to doing it with the rest of our bodies. So it’s great that way because we make accidents, and we like accidents!”

The first lesson Charlie Chaplin gave his daughter, Geraldine, was when he told her to be ready to get rejected. Did Abel and Gordon decide to make movies all by themselves, directing, writing and acting in them in order not to be rejected by fellow filmmakers?

“We knew we had to do it ourselves because the kinds of films that we like are done that way and we like to be the clowns-authors, the clown cinematographers. We don’t want to be comics playing in comedies,” Abel replied.

“When you play, you need to have this sort of crocodile skin with regards to criticism. You need to be confident as a performer,” Fiona added.

Although the duo likes to play with the awkwardness of people, they say they are not attracted by the art of parody. “We don’t want to make fun of the other. We prefer to work with our own imperfection,” the Belgian comic, Abel pointed out.

Movie: The Forgiveness of Blood

Release Date: February 24, 2012 (NY, LA)

Studio: Sundance Selects

Director: Joshua Marston

Screenwriter: Joshua Marston, Andamion Murataj

Starring: Tristan Halilaj, Sindi Laçej

Genre: Drama

Official Website: Not Available

IMDB Rating: 6.6

Story: It's a familiar tale of territorial rights and family honor but it is told well and the film features appealingly natural performances by non-professionals. It could reach beyond festivals in certain territories, particularly those that have populations with a Balkan heritage.

In the rural north of the formerly communist nation, bread is still delivered by horse and cart but every teenager has a mobile phone. The police have modern vehicles and weapons but elders dish out justice according to the 15th-century Balkan code known as the Kanun.

A conflict over the right of way on one family's land leads to anger and violence. When a man dies, there is no way to avoid a blood feud. Marston and Albania-born screenwriter Andamion Murataj have fashioned an absorbing tale about the impact of such old-fashioned rules, especially on the younger generation.

The director has a good eye and British cinematographer Rob Hardy (Boy A, Red Riding) captures shrewdly the many contrasts of ancient and modern in tools, buildings and terrain.

Refet Abazi plays Mark, a delivery man whose daily route with horse and cart has taken him across trails used since his grandfather owned much of the land. But a temperamental man named Sokol (Veton Osmani) now owns the land and he places rocks on the ground to block Mark's way.

When Sokol insults him and his family in the presence of his teenaged daughter Rudina (Sindi Lacej), Mark returns with his brother Zef (Luan Jaha) to set things right. The encounter occurs offscreen but soon Zokol is dead, Zev is in prison, and Mark is in hiding.

A blood feud is declared that means Mark's teenaged son Nik (Tristan Halilaj) and his little brother cannot leave the house in fear of retribution. Nik, who has ambitions of opening an Internet cafe once he graduates and has a school sweetheart, Bardha (Zana Hasaj), chafes under incarceration. However, Rudina thrives in her new duties driving the horse and cart to deliver bread and other goods.

Marston sets a level of increased tension as Sokol's family make further threats and attempt to intimidate Rudina while Nik risks his life to sneak out at night to see his girlfriend. Loyalties become strained as the youngsters begin to challenge what they see as the stubborn futility of the old ways.

The contrasts between unspoiled countryside and urban development and the clash between rural intransigence and youthful impatience add depth to an accomplished and suspenseful drama.

Director: "Mouse" McCoy, Scott Waugh

Screenwriter: Kurt Johnstad

Starring: Active Duty Navy SEALs, Roselyn Sanchez, Alex Veadov, Jason Cottle, Nester Serrano

Genre: Action, Thriller

Official Website: ActofValor.com

IMDB Rating: N/A

Story: On Monday February 13, 2012 I was lucky enough to see an advanced screening of Act of Valor. I was invited by the Cinema Society of San Diego in return for sharing my thoughts of the movie with their organization following the screening. Most of those in attendance were members of the society, though I did see a few (5 or 6) frogmen faces I recognized, which were easy to distinguish from the regular patrons of their group.

I arrived a few minutes early for an introduction from Cinema Society director, Andrew Friedenberg. He talked about the unique access the production company had to the SEAL community and paid patronage to Navy SEALS and the military in general. He explained that in 2007, Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh of Bandito Brothers Production filmed a video for the Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC) which led the Navy to allow them to use SEALs. After spending so much time working closely with the SEALs, McCoy and Waugh conceived the idea for a modern day action movie about this covert and elite fighting force. As Act of Valor developed with the SEALs on board as advisors, the film makers realized that no actors could realistically portray or physically fill the roles they’d written and the actual SEALs were drafted in to the film. The Navy agreed to the making of this film to “right the wrongs” made by past attempts to portray Navy SEALs in film (Navy SEALs, Silver Strand, GI Jane, etc) and allowed unprecedented access to our world.

Filming took place in Cambodia where an explosion was shot in Phnom Penh with 300 children as extras.Scenes were shot in San Diego at Blue Foot Bar and in a house in the North Park area. Other locations included Mexico, Puerto Rico, Ukraine, Florida, and at the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. The crew filmed at Navy training sites to provide realistic settings, such as a drug cartel base, a terrorist camp on an isolated island, and a smuggler’s yacht.

ACT OF VALOR stars a group of active-duty Navy SEALs in a powerful story of contemporary global anti-terrorism. Inspired by true events, the film combines stunning combat sequences, up-to-the minute battlefield technology and heart-pumping emotion for the ultimate action adventure. Although this is “docudrama,” the tactics are real the action is some of the most realistic I’ve ever seen on film. If you’re familiar with recent heroics and tragedies of our community, you will see many of these played out in the film and will draw raw emotion from the viewer.

The movie not only includes active duty Navy SEALs, but I noticed that a few of the support staff were also people I’ve worked with in the teams, such as a very well respected intelligence officer who works with Naval Special Warfare. The movie also does a great job of showing the emotional side of deployments and the brotherhood in the Teams. Although the action and the tactics are very realistic, Navy SEALS who view the movie will see a few things they know are not right, but the rest of the audience will not notice. I know some of my tactical brothers will hate when they see a grenade thrown and it causes a huge explosion (this is not what really happens), but I find it entertaining and love seeing those made-for-movie effects.

In the end it’s a great action film and the SEAL actors actually did a great job on screen. I personally do not think the Navy should be making films about SEALS or have them on screen, but I hope that that this movie will help show that SEALS are just regular people with extraordinary skills and a desire to serve and protect our country. I also hope that those who have never served in the military or spent a day outside the safety of our boarders see that there really are bad people in the world who wish to bring harm to our great nation in the name of their religion. I highly recommend seeing this film, but please don’t bring any children. It’s rated R for graphic violence including torture, and for strong language.

The survivor (Amanda Seyfried) takes it upon herself to find her abducted sister -- and face her former tormentor -- before it's too late. The trailer includes guns and other gruesome details; you can also expect other violence, terror, sexual material, language, and drug references. In other words, this one probably pushes the envelope for teen entertainment. On the plus side, it is about a young woman who takes charge of a situation. Parents should be on the lookout for pulpy, stylized violence and perhaps even suggestions of torture and gore.

In the suspense thriller, Gone, Jill Parrish (Amanda Seyfried) comes home from a night shift to discover her sister Molly (Emily Wickersham) has been abducted. Jill, having escaped from a kidnapping a year before, is convinced that the same serial killer has come back and taken Molly. The police think Jill is crazy and are unwilling to use their resources to help her. Director: David Wain

Screenwriter: Ken Marino, David Wain

Starring: Paul Rudd, Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux, Malin Akerman, Kathryn Hahn, Lauren Ambrose, Ken Marino, Joe Lo Truglio, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Alan Alda

Genre: Comedy

Official Website: Wanderlustmovie.net

IMDB Rating: N/A

Story: Aniston, 43, said by the time she had to do her naked scenes on Wanderlust she had seen so much nudity on set that she didn't give a thought.

"You do get nervous when there's a day where it's oops, I'm naked," Aniston, who met her real-life boyfriend, Justin Theroux, 40, on set. The pair got together in May last year after filming was complete..

"I wouldn't go topless for a cause, going to such an extreme to make a difference.

"But we've been among these people in this environment for almost two months.

"The topless scene was nothing compared to what happened in the two months prior.

"There was an actor naked the whole time getting his touch-ups and everybody else just having a normal conversation."

Wanderlust - about a a Manhattan couple who decide to experiment with living on a rural hippy commune where free love rules - was filmed in Clarkesville, Georgia.

"There was a real community feeling," Aniston said. "We were in the middle of nowhere and we were all a hop, skip and a jump from each other peppered around this lake.

"The farthest people were 20 minutes away. After work we had dinner together and we spent the weekends together."

Jennifer plays Manhattan girl Linda who, along with her husband George (Paul Rudd), ditches their city life.

"If there's anything that appeals to me about the hippy lifestyle it's the carefreeness, the free love, the open doors - the no doors," Aniston said.

"The free love thing wasn't happening on set, though."

It's the latest big-screen outing for Jennifer who, since the last episode of Friends in 2004, has starred in several romantic comedies, including The Break-Up, He's Just Not That Into You and The Switch.

Jennifer denies she's been type-cast and reveals she's happy to be Hollywood's rom-com queen — and isn't put off by crass toilet humour as seen in the recent comedy smash, Bridesmaids.

Jennifer says: "When choosing my roles I look for if I laugh, if I enjoy myself, if I don't get bored.

"If I see that there's something emotional that I can connect to and if I can imagine myself having fun at work, it sort of evolves.

"I really love comedy. I've loved it my whole life. I love making people laugh and I love laughing.

"I also love the comedies that are emotional and have a reality base in there. Wanderlust has this.

"I couldn't be in films like the rude eighties classic Porky's. They're great but I just wouldn't do well in them.

"Still if it's funny I go for it.

"Like in Bridesmaids. That's a fun movie."

Story: A man returns to Herzegovina to reclaim his ancestral home following the fall of Communism, and finds his life spinning into a frenzy following the loss of his lucky cat in director Danis Tanovic's adroit political drama. The year is 1991. Divko Buntic has spent the past 20 years in Germany, living a life of luxury. His mint Mercedes is noticeably out of place when he arrives back in Herzegovina with Azra, his gorgeous young girlfriend and Bonny, his lucky cat, and after using his clout to have his estranged wife Lucija thrown out onto the street, Divko attempts to make amends Martin, his 20 year old son. But everything starts to fall apart when Bonny vanishes without a trace, and the townspeople race to find the feline, and collect a handsome reward. Meanwhile, trouble begins brewing as Divko and Azra drift apart, and the younger girl finds herself increasingly drawn to Martin. Amidst all of the drama, practically no one in town notices when Croatia secedes, and Serbian bombs start falling on Dubrovnik.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1991. The communists have fallen from power and Divko Buntic returns to the small town where he grew up to reclaim his family home. After a 20-year exile in Germany, Divko arrives in his flashy red Mercedes with sexy young girlfriend Azra, lucky black cat Bonny and a pocketful of Deutschmarks. Divko uses his money and connections to forcefully evict estranged wife Lucija, but he tries to reunite with 20-year-old son Martin. When Divko's beloved cat Bonny disappears, the whole town joins in a frantic search to get the cash reward. The daily hunt for the missing cat strains Divko's fragile relationship with Azra and opens up an unexpected but strong attraction between Azra and Martin. Busy fretting over everyday concerns, most of the townsfolk seem to disregard the rumbling political unrest: Croatia has seceded, all Yugoslavs are being forced to take sides, and the Serbs begin bombing Dubrovnik. Although their area is on high alert, many still can't imagine anyone or anything could divide Bosnia and Herzegovina ...
