This is been proven correct time and time again.
Mindless people exterminated the Osprey, White-tailed Sea-Eagle and almost saw off the Hen Harrier.
In Scotland it has been proven that available food governs grouse population, not predation.
Two scientists have called for a study into limiting the numbers of harriers.
This will not effect the number of grouse, this has been proven correct time and time again. How dare they suggest killing these magnificent birds especially as data is already available proving the futility of their idea. I thought scientists were supposed to look at facts before making assumptions.
We are used to scientist affiliated to the oil industry saying global warming isn't happening.
It will not satisfy any mans needs and sadly it wont even satisfy any man's greed.
If it was true that predation causes low grouse numbers we should ban shooting.

Mexico is a marvellous place for birding, it has 1086 species including 108 endemics. We are putting on lists of all the regions, courtesy Denis Lepage.
Thanks to all who have contributed we now need very few species to complete all the lists in the region. If you can help fill in the gaps please contact us.

British Isles Complete
This week we have completed the list of most European Countries and now only need 3 species to complete Russia. The bird of the week for me probably because I have spent so much time looking for it, is the Caucasian Snowcock.

We have also got many other great photos from the Middle East, Asia and South America. Some wonderful birds have also been added to the Philippines list. Hope you enjoy the web site there are now well over 7000 pages to browse through.

It has been a great week at WorldBirds, I have made some great contacts and made new friends.
The Antarctic mainland list is complete and many of the Island lists are nearing completion. Thank you to everyone that has Contributed. The Ciconiiformes order is almost complete and the Answeriiformes order is complete.
I'm often asked what is my favourite bird, I don't have one but my favourite bird name is the Wandering Whisting Duck

We can now boast over 6300 species but my target foy 2008 is to get to over 8000 so I need all the help I can get.

I downloaded Sharepoint from Microsoft. The result was a disaster it screwed the website theme, I lost all bullets and line breaks and the page background was alterred. The © symbol disappeared on over six thousand pages.
It took me almost a whole day to correct this. I am no longer taking part in the Sharepoint evaluation.
It looks a great program in you are starting a web site from scratch.
The rest of the week I have spent doing some Caribbean lists and finding images I needed to complete them.
