I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas time together! The weather here was amazing, and we even got in a few km of walking in between Christmas lunch and pudding (had to make some room to enjoy the pudding!).

It’s just a few more weeks until we leave, so I’m frantically trying to clear out the house, and especially the craft room. The items that are still listed here will be put on Trade Me in the next few days, so make sure you contact me if you are interested in any of them as the items I have already listed on Trade Me are selling for higher than I’ve had them offered for here.

PMS – IT’S GOOD THING (SOMETIMES!)

My creative brain hasn’t been working lately and I was trying to figure out how to showcase a couple of my favourite things from the new catalogue and my wonderful friend, Melinda, came to the rescue with this super idea (don’t you love having awesome and creative friends to share ideas with?!). I’ve named it the “PMS box” – Popcorn, Movie, and Snacks … Wouldn’t this be a fabulous gift to give a special friend, a complete girl’s night in enclosed in a gift box!

If you didn’t want to make a decision on a movie, you could even create a coupon or get a rental gift card and it would also fit inside the box. Of course you will have to give the bottle of wine separately – it just doesn’t want to fit in the box!! LOL

The box looks like a clutch purse when it’s all closed up – how cute is that! While a guy might not appreciate how “pretty” it is, the girls will!!

The box opens up and includes everything you need for a good girl’s night out – chocolate bars, tissues (in case you get a real chick flick!), cards to invite your friends, popcorn, and coffee …

Punched Pennants … a little sneak peak

Parker had another birthday party today (little social butterfly that he is), so I had to come up with another boy’s birthday card for his friend, Kobi.

THE PENNANT DIE JUST LOVES FABRIC!!

I had a duvet inner and needed a cover for it, and the pennant die makes it so much faster to cut out all those half diamonds than doing it by hand! I LOVE the pennant die, especially with fabric, it’s so super fast to cut out fabric with. I am still very much a beginner at this fabric / sewing stuff, but I am quite pleased with the way it turned out!

My Big Shot Club ladies will be getting step by steps instructions and tips on how to make it easier for this project shortly …

TEENAGE BOY BIRTHDAY CARD

I have had the hard word from my Mother that I “haven’t been on my blog lately”, so I thought I had better put out at least something today so you don’t think I’ve dropped off the edge of the earth …

Chase had a birthday this past weekend, and I must admit that I do have a hard time with masculine cards, but this Motorcycle stamp is just perfect – especially for teenage boy cards! If you want this stamp you’ll need to nab it before the mini catalogue finishes as there is no guarantee we’ll ever see it again!!

I’ve just used our Stampin’ spots to drag some colour behind the embossed motorcycle. SUPER easy card (had to be as I literally made it right before Chase left for the party!). You can’t see it in the photo, but I’ve also stamped the motorcycle in Versamark on the Mustard card to give it a bit more interest.

MASON IS ANOTHER YEAR OLDER!!

My nephew had a birthday this weekend, and now he’s not a little kid anymore we had to make him a more grown-up masculine card. I found the new Motorcycle stamp that is in the current mini catalogue fits the bill just perfectly! You can find the a la carte or single stamps in the inside back page of the mini catalogue.

BUTTERFLY MOBILE

One of the projects that we made at Stamp Club this month were the cutest butterfly mobiles. We used the Big Shot Adhesive Sheets to adhere designer paper to ice cream cartons (we’re great recyclers here in Taranaki!!), and then ran them through our Big Shots to create these cute butterflies that are just perfect for a mobile.

Karen got the great idea to not only use the positive cut out butterflies, but also to use the negative pieces as well (the pieces that we would normally throw away). You can see the negative butterflies at the bottom of Karen’s mobile.

Stamp on!!

FYI - I wanted to photograph Karen as well as her mobile, but she wouldn’t let me … she was probably afraid that if her gorgeous face was shown to the world that there would be a mass of men showing up on her doorstep and her husband wouldn’t appreciate that, so this is as much as I’m allowed to show … Sorry Karen, couldn’t resist!!!

As to what I have been creating, here is one of the projects that I will be sending out to my Big Shot Club tonight (sorry it’s late ladies, but I’m catching up now!) … the Stamp Club ladies will receive full instructions on how to create these super cute rosettes and there are some other fantastic projects included for them as well!! Today we are having a ESAD Winter Blog Hop where 16 talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators have created wonderful projects to tempt you with all the yummy new things in the Winter mini catalogue that is available right now (click HERE to check it out if you haven’t already …)

As soon as I saw the Sew Suite set I knew I had to have it – it’s just so darn cute! It matches so well with the new designer paper as well – just a match made in heaven! Thanks Stampin’ Up! for giving us so many coordinating items that makes it so easy for us “colour challenged” stampers to still create professional looking cards …

… and of course that new pompom trim – how cute is that!!! Of course it coordinates with the Stampin’ Up! colours and it is just the perfect size for adding lots of yummy dimension to your cards or scrapbook pages!

I love the new Scallop Sqaures Duo die – they all fit together so perfectly with the original and larger Square Scallop. Great for all those quilters (or wanna-be quilters) out there! Run 6-8 layers of fabric through at once – it sure speeds up the cutting process on the way to creating those fabric creations …

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators and it is an online group just for Australian and New Zealand demonstrators for Stampin’ Up! We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors but we share our love for what we do with each other as Demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know how and cyberstamps and we are always there to help and support each other when its needed.

This was one of the projects that we made at Stamp Club in April. Punches are never flat - I love how you can create so many 3D items with our Stampin’ Up! punches!!!
