AKID - new in at fourmonkeys

2015-09-11T17:57:00.001+02:00

We do love pretty shoes and we are always on the look-out for cool, well made and comfy shoes. When we spotted AKID at the fair in Paris, we knew we have to have them for the shop!

So we decided on 3 different models, the Jasper, Liv and Stone. The Jasper (photo down) is an amazing lace-up boot made of natural premium leather, finished with durable waxed laces, with side zipper for easy accessibility.

We matched it here with Idigdenim Jeans, Nununu leather jacket and BeauLoves oversized top.

new in - OMY

2015-03-30T14:32:00.000+02:00

Every now and again, we just need a minute to prepare dinner, to brush our teeth or to use the phone. And kids need to be entertained. In comes OMY! Brilliant placemats, posters and pocket games and colouring. The graphics and designs are brilliant and intelligent. With an ecological conscious, the materials (ink, paper, cotton) are chosen with quality and respect for the environment in mind.
Easy to take to restaurant outings, in the car for road trips or covering the living room floor...they offer endless hours of fun. And make a cute present in the Easter basket.

trends - oversized and black

2015-03-28T10:27:00.002+01:00

This year is all about oversized, loose fits and black is still the new black.

One of our favourites is this NUNUNU tanktop overall. Lightweight, oversized and baggy. Perfect for hot summer days, either at the beach, on the playground or even strolling through the city. Just add some cool sneakers or a pair of black saltwater sandals, and the kids are ready to go.

Baggy pants are still going strong, and we are not surprised why. They are comfy and cool. What else is there to say? We love this LoudApparel Ivory baggy leggings.

Another option, BeauLoves Davenport pants with amazing ants print.

And then there is this dress, the NUNUNU 360 dress! No words needed, but I will still say it is amazing. Our girls will love the twirly quality, and we love the monochrome amazingness!

We felt like our little collection needs to be enlarged. So we did! We picked the sweetest, cutest and the most adorable little characters and we hope you will like them. So make sure to sneak one into that Easter basket...

By the way, the new dolls are re-branded and are running under the name: Young Double! We love!

christmas eve - boy outfit

2013-11-18T21:38:00.001+01:00

A few days ago I have posted a girl's outfit fitting to the festive mood of Christmas Eve and I've promised to deliver more :) Here is my boy's outfit, all black and white and a hint of grey!

The clothes are comfortable enough for the boys to run around free (as you all know, boys will not sit still even for a minute! not even on Christmas Eve), but the simple and classic colours make it more appropriate for this happy day.

I hope you will like it as much as I do! What will your kids be wearing this year?

christmas eve - girl outfit

2013-11-13T14:04:00.000+01:00

So, I thought I give you some ideas for Christmas outfits for the kids, everything from our selection of clothes. First up, your little girl! Can you see their little faces light up when they see the presents? Here in Europe, kids get to see the Christmas tree only on the 24th, so for them this is the biggest surprise of all! Fitting to this magical moment, I chose a simple but dreamy dress from Opililai, with a matching gilet, just in case it gets cold. The silver slippers from Bisgaard are very festive but comfortable, and to make the outfit complete, I've added the foxy girl necklace from Titlee. What do you think? Fancy enough?
Let the celebrations begin!

I am so excited about this trend that is happening in the kids' rooms lately: lovely, sweet prints that decorate the walls and shelves of many cuties! It is art, but not too serious, still they give a room personality and start kids on the path to art loving grown-ups. Mixed with their own paintings, their room will look unique and dreamy!

Becky Kemp's creations are really a joy to look at! In her shop, sketchinc. she is selling the cutest toys and accessories, all borne in a moleskin sketchbook (hence the name, I guess:)) One of my favourites are the nesting dolls, but there are other lovely things also...

personal / ballerina

2013-06-19T06:30:00.000+02:00

This girl has big plans for herself: to become a ballerina! Oh, how I dreaded this "stage" (it is a stage, isn't it? and it WILL go away?!?!?!) Of course, I still have hope: princess, fairy, piano player and doctor are still in the pile so it could go either way! I put my vote on the fairy gig...who wouldn't want to be the mother of a fairy???

I must confess I love black and white EVEN in the kids' room, but I am pretty sure even those who don't like it, won't have anything against Roxy Marj's black and white creations! I mean, look at them! They are wonderful and creative and original and they take you to another world. A world of wonder and where anything and everything is possible. In love! And you?

p.s.:The bear blanket is customisable with a message! Isn't that cool?
