No matter how much men may try to put you down, the accident statistics collected from every US state tell the same story. Men cause significantly more accidents than women and, because they are usually driving too fast, they cause far more damage to the vehicles involved and any property hit.

Because insurance companies exist to make a profit, these statistics cannot be ignored. No matter how bad all the men feel about this, women are given higher discounts on their premiums and pay less than men. As children grow up, parents have several different nightmares. These all stem from the same basic fear. No matter how hard you try, you cannot be everywhere, all the time, to protect your children from themselves. At some point, they have to be independent and stand on their own two feet. Unfortunately, it’s not the standing children dream about. They all want the freedom that comes when they get behind the wheel of a car and can go places.

Unfortunately, the national statistics show that, in a traffic accident, drivers younger than 24 years are four times more likely to die than older drivers. It all comes down to inexperience and the recklessness that comes from overconfidence. For insurance companies, the result of the national statistics is they charge between 50 and 200% more than the average to insure a teenage driver. The risks of loss are just so much higher, particularly in the case of young men.

Auto insurance

Auto insurance Go back to 2006, and the US was a different place.
Now, there’s a new realism in the air. Negative housing equity and a fall in the stock markets have wiped out all the most recent gains. Credit has dried up and job security is not what it used to be. In the midst of all this bad news, you still need wheels on the road and, so long as you want to keep yourself legal, you need auto insurance. In fact, all but three US states make it an offense to drive without a valid insurance policy. They set the minimum levels of liability insurance that every driver should have.

Settlement Quotes Is Now Able To Buy North Carolina Structured Settlements

For the past three years North Carolina Structured Settlement Recipients have been unable to sell the rights to their structured settlement payments because of a change in the North Carolina Structured Settlement Protection Act. Throughout these years many annuitants came to us with tragic circumstances where we normally would be able to help them create liquidity by cashing out their structured settlement, but because of this new law we were unable to help them.
Below is the section of the North Carolina Structured Settlement Protection Act which has not allowed most North Carolina structured settlement recipients to sell their payments since enacted:

“The discount rate used in determining the net amount payable to the payee, as provided in subdivision (2) of this section, does not exceed an annual percentage rate of prime plus five percentage points calculated as if the net amount payable to the payee, as provided in sub-subdivision (2)f. of this section, was the principal of a consumer loan made by the transferee to the payee, and if the structured settlement payments to be transferred to the transferee were the payee’s payments of principal plus interest on such loan. For purposes of this subdivision, the prime rate shall be as reported by the Federal Reserve Statistical Release H.15 on the first Monday of the month in which the transfer agreement is signed by both the payee and the transferee, except when the transfer agreement is signed prior to the first Monday of that month then the prime rate shall be as reported by the Federal Reserve Statistical Release H.15 on the first Monday of the preceding month;”
This section states that no company may purchase a structured settlement in the State of North Carolina unless the discount rate used on the transaction does not exceed prime plus five percent. At this moment the prime rate is approximately 3.5% which means the discount rate used in determining the amount payable to the annuitant cannot exceed 8.5%. Settlement Quotes has recently acquired rates which will allow us to complete transactions at rates lower than 8.5% on a consistent basis. At this time there is no other company in the industry that can complete transactions in the State of North Carolina on a consistent basis.
Over the past few months Settlement Quotes has been able to complete a few transactions in this state, but we had to turn away many annuitants because we could not obtain a rate less than 8.5%. In order to obtain such a rate we needed the following:

long payment stream

high present value

Over the past several weeks we have been working hard to secure better rates. With our improved rates the majority of North Carolina structured settlement recipients will have the option to cash out their structured settlement.

Clearscape Funding Soliciting Structured Settlement Recipients

It has come to this author’s attention that Clearscape Funding, a Symetra subsidiary is badgering structured settlement recipients to sell the rights to their future payments. It appears that this company is increasing it’s efforts to buy back it’s own paper at rates much higher than the industry average.
In the past week, Settlement Quotes LLC has competed on three separate cases where Clearscape Funding has offered the annuitant discount rates between 10-14% as opposed to Settlement Quotes offering rates between 7.7- 10%.

For those individuals unfamiliar with discount rates, a discount rate is a rate used to price future structured settlement payments. The lower the rate, the more money the annuitant receives in their lump sum payment. The company purchasing your structured settlement payment rights should always provide this number so you know if you are receiving a fair deal. Depending upon the payment structure of your annuity, you should receive a rate between 8- 15%. There are circumstances which can cause the discount rate to be higher but still providing the annuitant with a good deal. Discount rates are calculated from the amount and time of each payment. Payments that are further out in time or have a larger present value will always have a lower discount rate, the opposite applies for payments which are closer in time or have a smaller present value, the discount rate will appear higher for these payments.

It’s always important to remember that payments closer to the present date will always be worth more than payments further out in time. Feel free to use our structured settlement discount rate calculator to calculate the value of your future payments.
This author can understand why a company like Symetra would offer a service like Clearscape Funding to provide an alternative for their clients to cash out their future payments as opposed to using companies like JG Wentworth or Peachtree Financial. Clearscape Funding should be able to provide the best rates in the industry especially on it’s own paper. For some reason this isn’t happening and Symetra policy holders are suffering. Either Clearscape doesn’t think its own paper is worth the going industry average or they are trying to take advantage of these structured settlement recipients.
If you are in a situation where you need to cash out your structured settlement in order to provide liquidity, always shop your payments to multiple companies in order to get the best price.

Sell your Structured Settlement or Annuity Payments Today

Get the Best Price for your annuity-- Guaranteed--by having our Certified Funders compete to give you their Best Offers up front.
These payments are considered structured, because they are made over a period of time instead of a lump sum amount. The claimant does not receive the entire settlement amount as one payment. Instead, periodic payment is received.

The amount that the claimant receives from the structured insurance settlements is used to cover expenses, such as the present medical expenses or other future expenses. So, if you are injured in an accident, and you have an insurance policy, this is one benefit that you can get, especially if you suffer from injuries that inhibit you to work for the time being.

However, there are some unexpected expenses that may arise, and what if you do not have sufficient amount for this? You can sell structured insurance settlements to get enough money to pay for these expenses.

Selling structured insurance settlements may not be as simple as you think. Although it is legal to sell these structured insurance settlements, you still have to secure court approval. This process does not only protect you but your insurance company as well.

Some insurance companies thought that they will have to pay taxes as a result of this sale. But actually, the law states that the insurance company will not owe any tax as a result of this sale. This eliminates the barrier that you can encounter from a reluctant insurance company.

When you sell your structured insurance settlement, you get a lump sum amount to cover expenses. However, you must remember that this is not an easy process. This definitely takes time, and before you know it, the money that you urgently need takes longer than you have expected. That is why, it is important that you think about this action thoroughly before you make a decision.

Structured settlement

A structured settlement is a financial or insurance arrangement, including periodic payments, that a claimant accepts to resolve a personal injury tort claim or to compromise a statutory periodic payment obligation.

Structured settlements were first utilized in Canada[1] and the United States during the 1970s as an alternative to lump sum settlements. Structured settlements are now part of the statutory tort law of several common law countries including Australia, Canada, England and the United States. Although some uniformity exists, each of these countries has its own definitions, rules and standards for structured settlements. Structured settlements may include income tax and spendthrift requirements as well as benefits. Structured settlement payments are sometimes called “periodic payments.” Often the structured settlement will be created through the purchase of one or more annuities, which guarantee the future payments[2]. A structured settlement incorporated into a trial judgment is called a “periodic payment judgment."

Structured Settlements in the United States

The United States has enacted structured settlement laws and regulations at both the federal and state levels.

A structured settlement must be established by:

A suit or agreement for periodic payment of damages excludable from gross income under Internal Revenue Code Section 104(a)(2) (26 U.S.C. § 104(a)(2)); or

The defendant, or the property/casualty insurance company, thus finds itself with a long-term payment obligation to the claimant. To fund this obligation, the property/casualty insurer generally takes one of two typical approaches: It either purchases an annuity from a life insurance company (an arrangement called a "buy and hold" case) or it assigns (or, more properly, delegates) its periodic payment obligation to a third party ("assigned case") which in turn purchases a "qualified funding asset" to finance the assigned periodic payment obligation. Pursuant to IRC 130(d) a "qualified funding asset" may be an annuity or an obligation of the United States government.

In an unassigned case, the defendant or property/casualty insurer retains the periodic payment obligation and funds it by purchasing an annuity from a life insurance company, thereby offsetting its obligation with a matching asset. The payment stream purchased under the annuity matches exactly, in timing and amounts, the periodic payments agreed to in the settlement agreement. The defendant or property/casualty company owns the annuity and names the claimant as the payee under the annuity, thereby directing the annuity issuer to send payments directly to the claimant. If any of the periodic payments are life-contingent (i.e., the obligation to make a payment is contingent on someone continuing to be alive), then the claimant (or whoever is determined to be the measuring life) is named as the annuitant or measuring life under the annuity.
In an assigned case, the defendant or property/casualty company does not wish to retain the long-term periodic payment obligation on its books. Accordingly, the defendant or property/casualty insurer transfers the obligation, through a legal device called a qualified assignment, to a third party. The third party, called an assignment company, will require the defendant or property/casualty company to pay it an amount sufficient to enable it to buy an annuity that will fund its newly accepted periodic payment obligation. If the claimant consents to the transfer of the periodic payment obligation (either in the settlement agreement or, failing that, in a special form of qualified assignment known as a qualified assignment and release), the defendant and/or its property/casualty company has no further liability to make the periodic payments. This method of substituting the obligor is desirable for defendants or property/casualty companies that do not want to retain the periodic payment obligation on their books. A qualified assignment is also advantageous for the claimant as it will not have to rely on the continued credit of the defendant or property/casualty company as a general creditor. Typically, an assignment company is an affiliate of the life insurance company from which the annuity is purchased.
An assignment is said to be "qualified" if it satisfies the criteria set forth in Internal Revenue Code Section 130 [2]. Qualification of the assignment is important to assignment companies because without it the amount they receive to induce them to accept periodic payment obligations would be considered income for federal income tax purposes. If an assignment qualifies under Section 130, however, the amount received is excluded from the income of the assignment company. This provision of the tax code was enacted to encourage assigned cases; without it, assignment companies would owe federal income taxes but would typically have no source from which to make the payments.

Sell Real Estate Note

If you are looking to sell real estate note, you're probably in need of cash for a new investment, a payment or a special purchase. Whatever the case may be, it is crucial that you find a reputable note buyer, someone with extensive experience that you can trust to execute the sale properly and give you the money that you deserve. These days note buyers are just a click away; you just have to know where to find them.

Many people who sell real estate notes go into the process blindly, not knowing what to look for and ultimately getting less than they deserve for their notes. Others are not aware that they can sell just a percentage of the note, called a partial, rather than the entire note. This allows you to receive a lump sum for a certain number of payments. For example, if you are receiving $50,000 over 10 years, you can sell a portion of the payments, say $10,000 worth, and continue to receive the rest of the payments.

There are many different ways to sell real estate note, so don't let a buyer tell you you have to sell the entire note...that's simply not true. Although it will often yield high payments, there are many advantages to retaining some of the note. On the other hand, selling off the note in its entirety is also an option to consider as well. An experienced, reputable buyer will explain all of your options.

So you've decided to sell a real estate note, so what should you look for in a buyer?

1. Don't be afraid to ask questions. A reputable buyer will be more than happy to answer any questions you have and let you know what your options are when it comes to selling your note. Choose the option that makes the most sense for you.

2. Ask the buyer how long they have been in the business, how many transactions they have done. Chances are if someone has been doing this a long time they know what they are doing.

3. When you sell real estate notes, you should not have to pay any initial fees, points, closing costs or anything else. Everything should be including in the price you are getting paid for the full or partial note.

4. Everything should be in writing so you know exactly what you're agreeing to. If upon reading the agreement you don't understand one or more of the terms, feel free to ask for clarification.

5. The most important thing when you sell a real estate note is to go with your gut. You should feel comfortable with the note buyer and with the entire process. If you get a bad vibe or the note buyer is unwilling to answer all of your questions or seems to be giving you conflicting information, don't go ahead with the sale. There are plenty of reputable, honest buyers out there that you can work with that will answer all of your questions and make you feel confident about the sale of your real estate note.

Now when it comes time to sell real estate note, at least you'll know what to look for. And remember, money now is always worth more than money later, so if you need cash, selling your note always makes sense.
It is certainly much easier than taking out a new loan, as you can sell your note quickly and easily with an experienced note buyer.

You might be asking, why do people sell mortgage notes? Well, everyone has their own reasons but usually they are in need of a lump sum of money for a new investment, to make a bulk payment or for a special purchase. Sometimes a note holder comes across an incredible investment opportunity, and wants to put as much money as possible to maximize his or her potential earnings. By selling the real estate note and investing the proceeds, they could make many multiples of what they would have made by retaining the paper until it is fully paid off.

You have many options when it comes time to sell your mortgage note. You can sell the entire paper, which will give you the most money upfront, or you can sell just a portion of it, called a partial sale. In this arrangement, you sell some of the payments for an agreed upon amount, yet retain the rest of the monthly payments. You can sell mortgage note many different ways, and an experienced buyer will spell out all of your available options.

When it comes to finding a reputable buyer, look for someone with years of experience in the business, someone who is able to answer all of your questions and explains the entire process to you as well as your options. Find someone who you are comfortable with, who doesn't pressure you into selling. The initial consultation should be free, and there should not be any fees or closing costs. All of the costs should be built into the price you sell your mortgage note for.

How much can you expect to get for your note? That will depend on a number of factors, including the remaining balance, the time span, the property value, the financial stability of the payor, and other intrinsic factors. Keep in mind that the note buyer is assuming the risk, so it has to make sense for them financially. However, it is always advantageous to you because a) you are receiving a guaranteed amount of money, and b) you are no longer taking the risk of your payor defaulting. So essentially, when you sell mortgage note you are buying peace of mind...and you can't put a price on that.

So if you are looking for an immediate source of cash, you can sell mortgage notes rather quickly and use that cash right away for whatever you need it for. We hope this information was helpful, and wish you luck with your mortgage note sale.

Learn about a Land Contract Buyout

Sometimes after a homeowner sells his home, he or she will look for a land contract buyout in the future. Circumstances change and a seller who created a land contract real estate note will often not want to deal with it any longer.

There are many reasons why someone would legitimately want to sell their land contract note.

Some of the more common ones include: not wanting to deal with the paperwork hassles anymore; not wanting to live with the risk of the payor defaulting on the note; needing a lump sum of cash now to fund something, whether it be a business venture, medical emergency, putting a child through college, and so on.

If you have sold property on a land contract and now want a land contract buyout of your note, you'll be pleased to know that there are professional note buyers who will make you an offer if they deem your note potentially profitable.

A land contract is sometimes also referred to as "contract for deed."

Land contracts give the buyer ownership of the property because the buyer receives equitable title. Like a mortgage, payments on a land contract are made in installments, not all at once.

If you are interested in a land contract buyout, therefore, you will in essence be selling the income stream you are deriving from the note.

Certain states are land contract friendly and others aren't. One of the most land contract friendly states is Michigan, where a significant portion of houses sold are via land contract.

How much you can get for your land contract note will depend on numerous factors, and a general answer cannot be given. It will depend on your individual note if you want a land contract buyout. Speaking with a knowledgeable, competent note buyer is the only way to find out how much cash you can receive for your note.

Keep in mind, however, that your entire note need not be sold. You could sell it off wholly, or you could sell a portion of the income stream to raise cash now and retain the rest of the note for future income. In short, there is a great deal of flexibility.

However, because inflation always erodes the purchasing power of the dollar, a note buyer is going to need to buy your note at a discount to make it worth their while. Also, a land contract buyout means that the note buyer will be assuming the risk of the payor of the note defaulting. Because the note buyer takes over that risk, a discount is required for a purchase of your note.

The only question is how much of a discount will be needed to make a sale possible for you.

A professional note buyer should be willing to discuss your note with you over the telephone for a free, no obligation consultation. If anyone attempts to charge you just to discuss the possibility of a land contract buyout for your note, then that is someone you should not do business with.

Mobile Home Note Buyers Can Offer a Lump Sum of Cash

There are mobile home note buyers that will pay you a lump sum amount for your notes, either for the entire instrument or just a portion of it, called a partial buy. More and more people are choosing to sell rather than wait for payments month after month, and it's certainly quicker and easier than getting a new loan from the bank.

Although set amounts of money received regularly can be quite appealing, there comes a time when you might be considering retirement, or perhaps you have stumbled upon an incredible investment opportunity. Maybe you want to pay off a large, outstanding bill. Whatever the case may be, you might want to talk to a mobile home note buyer about selling your paper to get the immediate cash you need.

The good thing is you don't have to sell the entire note; rather you can sell just a portion of it and retain the subsequent monthly payments. For example, let's say you have a $50,000 note, but you only need about $20,000 for a new investment. You can sell $20,000 worth of payments, however many months that works out to be, and after that period you resume receiving your monthly income. A reputable mobile home note buyer will go over all of your options with you so you can figure out if a full or partial sale makes sense for you.

How much will you get for your mobile home notes?

When it comes to putting a dollar value on your paper, mobile home note buyers will take many things into consideration. Some of these include: whether it is with or without land, the overall value, the interest rate, the remaining term, timeliness of payments to date and the financial stability of the payor. Using all of these criteria as well as a few others, the mobile home note buyer can arrive at a fair price for your note.

It helps to keep careful records of everything and have your paperwork in order so that you're not scrambling when it comes time to sell your mobile home notes. The more detailed information you can provide the better off you'll be.

Does it always make sense to sell? Put simply, yes, because as the old saying goes money today is worth more than money tomorrow. What does this mean? Well due to inflation and the uncertainty of what the future holds, $10,000 today can buy you much more than it will in 10 years. So even though the lump sum you receive is less than the total amount remaining, it is a guaranteed payment that removes all of the risk exposure of carrying a note for 5-10 years.

So if you're looking for a quick source of cash, talk to a qualified, professional mobile home note buyer today and decide what works best for your financial situation.

Finding a Cash Flow Note Buyer

A cash flow note buyer refers to a professional who will pay you a lump sum for all or a portion of any debt instrument you are currently holding. It could be a mortgage, a land contract, business note, structured settlement, lottery winnings or any number of other receivables. It's important to find a reputable, experienced note buyer in order to ensure you get what you deserve for your note.

Selling your note gives you immediate access to a large amount of cash, which can be used for investments, payments, or large purchases. You may be retiring, or perhaps you just don't want to have to wait for small payments month after month, year after year. Regardless of the reason, cash flow note buyers can provide this cash to you without the headaches and hassles of dealing with a bank or other lending institution.

Keep in mind you do have a number of options when it comes to selling your cash flow note. You can sell the entire instrument, which is very common, or you can sell just a portion of the payments. So if you have a $100,000 note you can choose to sell just $40,000 worth, and resume receiving monthly payments after that time period. You can also split the monthly payments each month, so you're taking a portion but selling the remainder. A good cash flow note buyer will spell out all the options available to you.

What determines how much your cash flow instrument is worth? The buyer will take many things into account when figuring out a quote, but the most important factors are the payment balance, interest rate, time left, value and the payor's financial stability (timeliness of payments, credit rating, etc.) Remember, the note buyer is assuming the risk, so they have to determine if it is worth it for them to make the investment. Obviously, the less risky the note, the more they will be able to offer you.

So what do you look for when it comes to selecting cash flow note buyers? Here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Look for someone who has a lot of experience, someone who has been in the business for many years. He or she will be able to offer the most flexibility, competitive rates and selling options.

2. In most cases there should not be any consultation fees, points, closing costs or any other additional payments that you have to make. All of the associated costs should be included in the amount you are paid for your note.

3. Don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions. If you don't understand something or need a point clarified, speak up. This is an important transaction, and reputable cash flow note buyers will happily answer any questions you may have. Make sure they tell you all of your options, including partial and full sale possibilities.

4. When you have decided to proceed, get everything in writing. Make sure that everything you talked about is included, and make sure you understand all of the terms.

5. One of the most important things is feeling comfortable throughout the entire process. You will always make the best decisions when you are most at ease, so find a cash flow note buyer that you have a good rapport with.

No matter what type of financial instrument you are selling, there are cash flow note buyers out there that are willing to purchase them from you. Hopefully we've helped make it a little easier to find a good one!

You Can Sell Structured Settlement Annuities for a Lump Sum

If you are looking to sell structured settlement payments, now is a great time to do it. You now have access to a nationwide pool of experienced, professional note buyers thanks to the Internet, and the increased competition means higher cash payouts for you.

A structured settlement is essentially a financial arrangement set up for victims of injury cases whereby they receive monthly payments (annuities) to cover damages, loss, medical expenses, etc. As opposed to a lump sum payment, the claimant receives a set amount each month for a specified period of time. This payment is tax free, and usually works out favorably for both parties....the victim has a steady, tax-free income source to cover bills and the defendant doesn't have to pay out a huge amount up front.

However, many people would prefer to have a large payment now rather than smaller payments spread out over a period of years, and therefore look to sell structured settlements. You see this quite often with lottery winners who opt to take a lump sum rather than monthly payments, even though it works out to less money that their total winnings.

Unlike with the lottery, though, you can't ask the defendant to pay you upfront instead. It doesn't work like that and almost all defendants/insurance companies would prefer to set up a more palatable monthly financial arrangement so they are not out of pocket a large sum of money. For this reason, you may want to sell your structured settlement annuity in its entirety or just a portion of the instrument.

Of course, just like with the lottery payment, you will not get the full amount of your settlement from the buyer. Keep in mind that he or she is assuming the risk that comes with your note, and also has to take into account inflation and other factors. So it has to make financial sense for them as well.

When you sell structured settlement payments it offers many benefits to you. For one, you are receiving a guaranteed amount of money right away, rather than waiting on much smaller monthly payments and hoping the payor doesn't default. Along those lines, another benefit is the peace of mind that comes with no longer assuming the risk that comes with any debt instrument. You just never know what the future holds, so why not sell structured settlements now and be 100% sure to receive money.

There are many options when it comes to selling your structured settlement and a qualified note buyer will spell them all out for you. Find someone with experience and a good reputation and figure out what will work best for your particular financial situation.

Do you have a note to sell?

Our experts have researched dozens of top note buyers across the country to determine which are the very best.

In order to arrive at their top recommendation, they created a list of strict criteria which the company would have to meet. Only after meeting ALL of these criteria would a note buyer become a recommended resource for our visitors.

Here are the criteria they must meet:

* Extensive experience with note buying * Stellar reputation in the industry
* Excellent customer service * Repeat business and referrals
* Maximum prices for notes * Quick turnaround times
* Helpful staff * Qualified underwriting team
* Diversified services * Free preliminary valuations

We set the bar very high to ensure that the company we recommended would provide the very best service to our visitors.

What we found was some companies met most of the criteria, but did not meet a few important ones such as repeat business, competitive pricing or free valuations. Those are very important elements of the note buying process.

There was one company that did meet all (10) of the criteria outline above, along with a few additional criteria that we did not include. We were very impressed with what we found and can confidently recommend the company to our visitors.
If you know where to look you can find a leading industry professional that will give you a competitive quote for your note usually withing 24-48 hours. If you're looking for an immediate source of cash, there's really no easier way to get it either.

Seller financing has become quite popular these days, at it opens up the door to endless possibilities when it comes to selling your business, your house or other property. Yet often sellers, called the payees, find themselves in a position where they want or need a lump sum of cash. This could be for a new investment, a large purchase or even retirement. The small monthly payments just don't cut it anymore.

For those people, finding a top business note buyer is a must, because these seasoned professionals can offer them top dollar for their notes. Within a week or so, you can sell your business notes and have the money in hand. It certainly beats applying for a loan at the bank.

The best part is there are several options when it comes to selling your cash flow paper. Contrary to popular belief you don't have to let the entire thing go. Rather you can sell just a portion of it, called a partial sale, and retain the rest for yourself. So you get a lump sum of money for "x" number of payments, and once those are paid you resume receiving your monthly income. There are other ways to structure the transaction as well, and a top business note buyer can explain all of your available options.

How much can you get for your business notes?

That will depend on the note itself. Business note buyers take into account various factors such as what the outstanding balance is, how much time is left, what the interest rate is and how financially stable the payor is. There are other criteria that come into play as well. Keep in mind that it has to make sense for the buyer as well, since they are assuming a risk by buying your note from you.

A top business note buyer will be able to give you a fair, competitive quote for your paper, so make sure you find someone who is experienced and reputable. Don't be afraid to ask them how long they have been in the industry as well as any other questions you may have about the process. One thing to remember: money today is always worth more than money tomorrow, so you really can't go wrong!

Site Map
