When we are busy, the prblem would be about that we do not have enough time to relax, socialize and have some personal life.

When we are free, the problem would be about that there is no entertainment, excitement and something to do.

In those cases, a problem is notthe problem itself because there is always a problem to cope with.
Fundamentally, the problem is what we expect the situation to be. No one except our parents would be mostly caring about whether we are excited or not. It is apparent as we are bored, because we expect other people to satisfy us, so do they.

So what we basically expect others to do in a case like above is "I'm not happy or entertained and that's all your fault."

There would be a lot of layers and rhetorics behind this truths, but as far as I've heard, there is always something unreasonable and meaningless to expect, which never be realized unless we do by ourselves.

Determination helps us go forward. In contemporary age which religions have been losing its reign, determination (and commitment) might sometimes sound as binding and restricting people's freedom.

However, I also see some people who cannnot make a determination and make quite a lot of complaints.

Whatever we enjoy, the joy would never last forever, there would be a fluctuation no matter how atrong we wish to be eternal.

To grasp long-lasting enjoyment, we need commitment, commitment to Jesus is one of them.
Things in the world are all very unique, more we see in details, better we understand and more excited.

Also, the commitment would better something very hard but feasible because you would lose interest in it as the thing is in either of extremes.

Belief of Oneness

I often call myself Buddhist when I met someone for the first time.

Although that's true, I might have very different ideas from Buddhists in other countries such as Thailand since Buddhist and religions have developed depending on the local culture in each place.
They are all unique and inspiring how originally single set of teachings can hold this kind of variety.

I just wrote "single" set of teachings though, Buddha has never left his diciples any materialistic legacies but direct teachnings by his presence and expression. Therefore, the teachings were naturally interpreted by Buddha's diciples. Each diciple manifested what they perceived, experienced, learned and felt from Buddha.

Even the name, Buddha which means "enlightened one" (and many more interpretations and translations), is not the original name of the man called so. Buddha is called as we call him because people around him named.

Buddha never called himself as "enlightened" because, in my understanding, he knew he is not only single entity of the universe but one with everything else. Therefore sometimes Nirvana is described as the world without the notion of division.

Also, that is why Buddha teachs us "heed the law, not person". Person constantly changes and being influenced by environment.

Self-Awareness and the Balance of Anxiety

When I talk about my idealistic viewpoint with somebody, I sometimes listen to their what ifs. What if it failed, what if someting unexpected happened, what if we are not good enough to achieve it, what if...etc.

I understand and respect what people concern, worry being anxious and being precautious.

Anxiety has its own function to forewarn us as danger or risk is coming close to us.

Without anxiety, we would never be afraid of a fire buring in front of our face.

Conversely, we would not be able to try new things if we are afraid of the risk to execcive extent.

The intelligence of human beings often allow us to avoid risk but take it.

When intelligence is integrated to our heart, which sometimes become thirsty of a challenging task, we become aware of our most fundamental needs and help us proceed.

Mentor and Diciple Relationship

A few weeks ago, I had a ceremonial meeting for a Buddhist organization to which I belong.

There was a discussion and the topic was Mentor and Diciple Relationship.

Because of the nature of the topic, the discussion went a little bit emotional.

Everybody has experienced unreasonable treatment from somebody above them in their social hierarchies, such as boss, supervisor, professor, lecturer, executives and so on.

The notion of hierarchy and domination have already rooted into our society.

As Marshal Rosenberg stated in his book "Speak Peace", in domination structure, relationships between people become to which between dominate and being dominated, punish and being punished. People get rewarded only as they obey rulers. He also said the history of dominant hierarchy has begun since approximately 8000 years ago.

On the other hand, mentor and diciple relationship is not that kind of relationship.
It might depend on personal interpretation, I believe anyone can be mentor of anyone else, and anybody can be diciple of anybody else.

Phil Jackson might be one of the best mentor as a basketball coach. Kobe Bryant might be one of the best mentor as a player. Lady Gaga might be one of the best mentor to be famous. Steve Jobs might be one of the best mentor to be successful in business.

Well, but not only those famous guys, but also we can be somebody else's mentor as well as diciple, and learn each other.

I hope I will be able to be fully open to respect anyone else as my mentors.

A famous "terrorist" probably loved by many

Days have passed since Osama Bin Laden was killed and some heats seem still to be remained.

Some people celebrate his death, some people cry on his death.

Some people of the celebration, they might have withheld fear and hostility toward him.

For some people of the tears, they might have had some love and compassion to him.

Which of his face is true?

I think both and neither.

Can anyone else comprehend who he was?

I don't think it's possible.

Do his death make anything better?

I don't think so.

In my understanding of Buddhism, everything on the earth is interrelated, so is every person.

So presumably, who is glad of his death? I assume, that's people who do not know him as a human being but as a "terrorist."

I speculate people who know him as a human being would sleep on tears.

All human beings have both bright and dark sides, which change its color all the time.

We human beings are all not only unique but also sharing many common things.

We fear, we suspect, we cry, we laugh, we smile.

As we are attacked, we would feel anger and/or sadness.

As we are criticized, we would become defensive and close our heart.

Well, I know nothing about the man called as a head of terrorist organization, so how could I be happy or sad about his death?

Would I believe in news anchors telling me some people are planning to attack me even though they are utterly lies?

He introduced a presentation by CDC(Center for Disease Control and Prevention)
The topic was mainly about what the argument by CDC was and Tomabechi's remarks to it.

In that interview, Tomabechi　made quite a few suggestions to Japanese government in a field of disaster control.

◎More information, more relief　
He suggested that in a crisis, people become desperate of getting more information so they can feel relieved even if the situation itself didn't and problems remained.

Hence the authority has to give people as much information as possible despite those information are optimistic.

Japanese government has done completely opposite operation. They didn't report crucial information such as the explosion in number six reactor. However, foreign media ironically broadcasted the explosion and then domestic media seemed like to be forced to admit.

◎Don't over-reassure　

As the uncertainty in Fukushima nuclear plant rose, the officials gradually expanded the evacuation zone. Initial Warning should be based on the worst simulation. Officials can and should say that they do not know some crucial information when they really do not know. CDC states

Instead of making promises about
outcomes, express the uncertainty of
the situation and a confident belief in
the “process” to fix the problem and
address public safety concerns.

and also

Allow people the right to feel fear
• Don’t pretend they’re not afraid, and don’t tell
them they shouldn’t be.
• Acknowledge the fear, and give contextual
information.

Recommend a 3-part action plan
• You must do X
• You should do Y
• You can do Z

Without those psychological governance, CDC argues that there would be a huge risk of MUPS(Multiple Unexplained Physical Symptoms) not only short but also long term health conditions of people.

A solid step, interesting points between lie and imagination

Everyday is the sequence of small..small things. No matter how big a thing is, it is composed of tiny parts. Without those small facets, nothing could exist.

While I've been learning, working and connecting with other people, I often feel like this. When I'm too busy, I sometimes don't face at other people and their feelings. Probably I could make excuses or something, but I would rather make self-reflection and think how I could do that better.

We can always have some ways to make things go better way, as long as we believe it.

As Mother Teresa mentioned about the interconnectedness between everything by saying like ( I couldn't both remember and find on google) "be careful of your behaviour, it would affect to what others say. Be careful of what you say, it would affect to other people's feelings. Be careful of what you think, it would affect to your behaviour. Be careful of what you feel, it would affect to your words." something like this I clearly modified it lol

What I wanted to mean here is that we can not lie to ourselves, untimately even to other people in long-term. When we know we lied, we would gradually or immediately feel some sort of discomfort, and realize it might better not lie.

On the other hand, we talk out of our imagination as well. We have lots of fun with our mates by talking about what we imagine both about the past and the future. We modify past situations to make it sound better, funny...etc. We create our future by imagining it.

It's interesting that lies and imagination are both something made up out of something have never been true, and the distionction could be very vague.
Before wright brothers successfully invented the airplane, some people might have thought they are crazy. When inventors started talking about something totally new, they are sometimes called "too much imagination" or even "lies".

But, but, but, I believe in that we can create what we can imagine!! If we had stopped our imagination, I'm very sure we would have never been able to invent lots of interesting and innovative things around the world!

So I provide one clear distinction between lie and imagination. When you lie, you feel guilty and some negativity. When you imagine, you feel fascination (and innumerous things which I can never list)!

Everyday is the days of imagination, discovery and happiness!

the future

While I've been writing about the advancement of the technology represented by the internet, I've come across many articles telling how fast and miraculous the advancement has been in last a few decades.

They provoked my thoughts and imagination, many what ifs.

What if there will be a sort of mechanical tip which is buried in people's head, and they will be able to google inside their head without any other facilities. The visual screen come up inside their cornea. The clarity and density of color are automatically fixed based on the environment. If they want to share the information they are looking up, they can show electronic screen in front of his head. The screen can be touched and carried to be shown to everybody else around.

However, the most significant and magnificent invention will be the mechanical tool which carry any smell. It has been a dilemma that TV reporters can't communicate the smell to the viewers. In the future, as TV reporters do interview to the owner of restaurant, there will be a crew for smell-sharing machine. The machine precisely calculate each atomic component of the object, and send the information to the medium used by viewers, then viewers can smell it as if they are in the restaurant. If viewers don't want to smell it, they can turn it off with remote. It would be terrible when one of crews farted next to the machine.

The technology will never stop. Once spacecraft developed enough to enable people to regularly commute to the moon, they can charge solar energy way much more than we are collecting by tiny solar panels since we will be closer to the sun.

I imagine even more, it would be possible to create the sun and the earth by the hands of human beings. People create a sort of massive energy-absorbing-and-saving orbit, then we launch it to the sun. By orbiting around the sun millions of times, it can keep tremendous energy within.

Those things would never be seen without human livings who keep existing until those inventions are really created. Human imagination have always been surpassing convention knowledge. I hope I can see one of them during my life!

Be Free, Be independent

Since the earthquake hit Christchurch of New Zealand and Tohoku area in Japan, a lot of kinds of discussion was instantly resurrected. Those issues are such as nuclear plants, real effectiveness of tsunami safety net, credibility of Japanese fancy life and the rightness of whole civilization.

I'm not personally willing to be criticized like a politician, but I do think this disastrous and tragic moment is a kind of opportunity - opportunity to open eyes to things some people have been neglecting.

In Japan, it's been almost habitual to criticize the laziness and ineffectiveness of political authority for a very long time, which happen all over the countries of "democracy."

Calmly thinking, it's very not convincing that all population have interest in politics. However, in democracy, it's premise that each individual possessed certain extent of interest and "voluntarily" vote for politicians to make society better and balanced. Then naturally, there is always discrepancy between the ideal and the reality. The degree of the discrepancy could be made better if politicians distribute right information based on true conviction which is actually essential for all public workers.

As most of people regard, I see democracy is quite idealistic. Although this kind of dilemma, there is always to make things better.

As Viktor Frankl didn't lose his hope even in the terrible environment of holocaust. Even as he had to walk and work in freezing place for such a long hours, he still kept his mind into his love for his wife who had already passed away then. No matter how tragic it sounds, he proved that human beings can liberate their spiritual well-beings totally up to how and where they direct ourselves.

There is another discrepancy here - there is no need of politicians if every citizen is responsible for their lives. If people are very responsible in all sphere of society, they can maintain their prosperity, competency, life-balance and the order of society by themselves. It's already an outdated thoughts to blame politicians because they will never fully function as most of citizens expect them to. It's not because of themselves, but the whole system of democracy and other aspects of society itself, like media. Often nation is regulated by mainstream media which is usually influenced so much by political authorities but ordinary people whereas those media and whole nation cannot sustain their lives without every single ordinary person.

So, like Vitor Frankl, why can't we liberate our mind from hopeless expectation toward other people and other external things but ourselves and our own spiritual autonomy? I'm not saying let's be an anarchist, but I'm saying that it's ridiculous to keep hoping something which would never be realized. I'm also not saying let's forget about other people and be simply selfish, but I'm saying that we choose who we want to be together with, we choose who rule us, we choose who we want to trust, we choose what we buy, eat, live and wear. I do not know where the ingredients the cereal which I eat everyday come from. I do not know if it's really healthy to keep observing Youtube clip and doing my business in front of the computer screen for ages. I do not know what the information from TV and other commercial junks benefit for us.

It surely requires us to be independent in spiritual sense - like the words by mother Teresa, spirit affect our thoughts, thoughts affect our behaviour, behaviour affects our words, and our words create our social life with other people, and this social life is our life itself. More responsible for all circumstances of our life, harder it would be, but also be genuinely happier since it makes us capable of creating happiness by ourselves, not anything defined by somebody else.

Emergency Cautions and Instructions

Here are quite a few things you need to make sure you do.

<electricity>
For people who can use electricity, please save it as much as possible. Power plant and other bases were damaged and lacking enough generators to suffice whole households.

<food>
If you can use rice cooker, please cook rice as much as possible. Although electricity need to be saved, the power need to be used for producing as much food as possible.

<for women>
Please do NOT go out alone, in this chaotic situation, sexual crimes and violence are more likely to happen although you are living in Japan. If you are wearing stocking(or tights), please TAKE IT OFF because in the situation of fire, you would get burnt ALL OVER your stocking and legs if you caught a fire. But please do NOT THROW that AWAY, you can use them as tourniquet to stop the bleeding.

<window and door>
Please keep them OPEN. In the case of next and possibly bigger earthquake, windows and doors would not open and get you locked up inside collapsing building.

<water>
If clean water is still available, please try to keep it as much as possible at wherever you can keep it like inside any bottle, BATHTUB, canteen and whatever useful.

<caution!>
if you find a crack in the shape of X, that's pretty risky and dangerous, very likely to collapse.

<Safety Confirmation Dial>
If you want to leave a message for somebody looking for you, push

<Emergency Item List>
□cash
□ID
□Insurance card, stamp, account balance book
□drinkable water(1 person may need approx 3 litters a day)
□durable food(canned food, snacks etc)
□cellphone and charger for emergency which you can use
□tissue
□towel(5 towels are probably enough)
□sanitary pad
□torch
□hot bag(something portable, and keep you warm)
□plastic wrap
□blanket
□your families photo(if some of them are missing, as you ask to somebody)
□whistle(to notify the location in the case you got caught between building and kinds)
□glasses
□daily medicine

<Red Paper saying "全壊">those two characters mean "totally collapsed" and most like to fall down anytime. So please DO NOT GO CLOSE to those buildings and keep away from there.

<DO NOT SMOKE outside>
At the time of Hanshin Earthquake, many people got seriously injured because they smoked outside without being aware of the gas pipe which crashed and leaking much gas. Some of them could be really inconspicuous, so DO NOT SMOKE OUTSIDE.

<Gas is in operations>
For people who don't know how to reset gas, turn your equipment off, meter will blink red LED due to earthquake, remove saftey cap, hit reset button, it will click and pop back out, replace cap, red LED will continue for another 3 minutes then your gas should be back.

I'll upload more info soon, hang in there mates!!

ugh, I'm tired, for last 10 days which I spent in Christchurch, I've always been together with Geri, she is cute, intelligent, hard-working, caring and my drama queen.

We've talked about a lot of things. I often do self-destructive actions like too much alcohol, overwork, never going out and soak under the sun, addicted to internet and many tiny behaviors.

I might need to make self-reflection and fix some critical attitudes. Whole energy and stream seem like very distracted and very sluggish which usually flow very naturally.

It's obviously part of me, I admit, being too introverted and tend to be cynical to others. I'm still fighting against my darkness. situation surrounding me isn't necessarily like the wind blowing behind me to be supportive.

What am I supposed to do? The whole point to make revolution happen in this society is generating connection between people and between people and nature. In the process to create the connection, the conveyer belt should be constructed by peaceful means while are, in other words, nonviolence and artistic dignification of humanity and harmony with nature equal to the earth.

One of my concerns is that what type and nature of organization I should make in the future because monetary issue tends to be the center of organizational activities and that's not what I really want to be keen on. The seemingly typical dilemma is people inside an organization always need to care about financial condition they are currently facing, otherwise the organization would lose its stability.

The stability and liquidity among an organization is another issue for me. Once people belong and contribute to an organization, some tend to stabilize their position in the community while others tend to work relatively independent and always be ready to get away from the group. Both attitudes are necessary to maintain any organization fresh and energetic. That's the reason why human resource department sometimes try to replace workers by choosing new one from outside their community.

Basically, we can't force others. even to colleagues, to remain in our own organization, so the main bond and solidarity among an organization should be maintained through spiritual and qualitative attraction.

In my opinion, the core quality of the attraction is the fact that I keep moving, keep improving and keep changing to contribute to other people and my own happiness.

But this liquidity is also something that I've been struggling with for quite a while because I need to stabilize organization if I will found it in some future.

There are mainly two ways as far as I can come up with for now, one thing is to hire people who have desirable skills after I experience certain career and got enough money to afford my own firm and colleagues. Another way is to be a part of an existent organization and get promoted by staying there. The latter is quite risky thing to do in these days because the global market and the information is circulating faster and faster by receiving huge benefits from the advancement of technology.

So I suppose it would be extremely difficult thing to maintain mental liquidity if I was under huge responsibilities in the organization. What keeps us creative and artistic in our daily lives are the beliefs and faith toward our own life and humanity and what's alive in us. The thing could be enhanced and revitalized only by the eternal self-reflection and spiritual thrive to try to create something from no materialistic and logical background.

So I can easily assume that the initial stage of any organization which I will eventually have to launch will be works mostly done on my own by the time I will be able to afford other workers and external support. Those are all the process of value creation and the creativity draw power which is not necessarily money. To cultivate and express those energy, I will certainly keep changing and making revolution day by day. It's such a exciting way to climb the mountain of happy life and to trigger the spontaneous creation of peaceful community. Where there is revolutionary energy, peace is there too.

Information for Peace

I've been planning to make another facebook community for sharing information about peace, the community is gonna be divided into basically two sections, Negative Peace and Positive Peace.

In the section of Negative Peace, I wanna share information which help and encourage us to eliminate violence including militaristic, social, political, economic and humanitarian ones. The main aim is enforcement of elimination of war by participating and acknowledging activism which eventually contribute to abolish the war. e.g. Share information which encourage the movement to stop buying products of company which is outrageously violating human rights, environmental conservation/protection and advocating the war.

In the section of Positive Peace, there will focus on constructive information such as physical/mental health, debate on social topic toward solution and solidarity and suggestions and opinions to implement better educational system both outside and inside school system.

Keys of the job

An essential aspect of any job is whether the job is contributing to people's basic needs, well-being and happiness.

So what I always need to keep in mind is that I'd better be careful and mindful when I felt something frustrating, irritating and needy like 'I wish I could have things like blah blah blah' as if we would request to Draemon (a character in Japanese popular comic and anime).

What I've felt about the social 'void' is that modern people need integration because people in modern society are generally more isolated than people living in older era. The isolation is particularly in physical sphere. Albeit we can have some contacts through in internet, adversely the time to communicate face to dace decreases.

There are some predictable methods like holding some events in community, encourage religious affiliation, rhetorically invite people to get out of computer world, which can be said especially to youth.

In my opinion, jobs have to be ultimately something about human life itself. Real jobs are something benefiting on human well-being. What can I do? Who needs me? How can I become someone needed by someone? Why don't I go to other country and confirm it? Am I still scared or worried? I might still wanna stay in my comfort zone. But the turning point could be anytime. I can start planning and actually moving from now. To make it come true, the need is strong self-determination and consistent efforts which always have to be relevant to my vision.

Presumably I will get management skill to some extent and understand how to organize people. I think I need another skill which now I can think of is something about environment. I can just speculate that there should be some meaningful ways to learn what NZ gov does for environment from diverse circumstances.

I certainly feel now is the beginning. I'm gonna experience utterly new things heaps of times.

My Generation

When I think about what I can do to improve myself, all things are involving information and its process since my generation is supposed to be away from actual workplace. I know I'm a bit exaggerating, but I'm sure I'm partially telling the truth.

Current 40s and 50s are the generation which have established modern society. They have taken over their mission from older generation. Adults around me used to say to me to study as much as possible while I'm young. I think I've been doing it albeit study would never be enough.

My personality might involve with every choice I've made especially in terms of my career, I hate to obey and follow someone else and their ideology. I prefer establish my own idea to follow no matter how long it would take. The personality hasn't changed so far. The thing is that I wanna determine my career and which profession I would like to choose. After I choose my career, I would naturally be more independent in financial life. Then I would get more freedom and flexibility in my life. I guess everything would actually progress after that.

About my karma, I really want to move all the time and try something, but I feel bound now. What's the basic difference between inside and outside Soka education? While I was there, I was feeling some great assurance and embracing kindness all over the campus. Since I came to NZ, that's rare occasion perhaps because of lack of constant communication. It's still acceptable as long as I can concentrate my stuff like study. But when I think about real progress, I feel I need to expand my friendship and social sphere. I might be too needy, but I just believe that I can gain if I keep wanting.

a gap between ideal and reality

Today I read a topic discussed in mixi (Japanese SNS).

The topic was about United Nation and specifically commented by people who have actual career in certain parts of United Nation.

Overall comments were very practical and convincing. Their opinions about working UN were not necessarily encouraging but sometimes telling harsh truth.

My dreamy image of UN was the organization which has many motivated people with greatest passion and sense of mission. But some parts of the UN are not necessarily like that. Most of workers in regional office are composed of local workers since their linguistic and geographical advantage. I can approve that situation, but the problem is that some local workers are not always with UN's commitment. Some regard UN as just an employment opportunity, others are just stuck with their posts which are not always challenging and require decent operational skills.

However, it's not rare or obscure occasion to meet and experience an organization whose workers are lazy and not really productive when people work for many other companies or private organizations. For me, the problem is whether I can get desirable skills or not. But what kind? I desperately need to specify my personality and necessary skills which connect to something I will acquire profession. Time to choose is coming. I'm 22. I reckon myself very young and perhaps I'd better let things go. It's simply impossible to keep all things controlled as I want to.

My current wonder is the reason why Ikeda Daisaku constantly emphasize the importance of UN as an crucial power to proceed world peace. As far as I can assume, he probably see the potential of UN which already expanded it's sphere of influence to more than 200 countries. Also he might believe its credibility because of existence of motivated workers who still are in UN.

Nevertheless, however wide influential zone UN possess currently, it does not mean individual possesses the same kind of power. It's always plausible that the width and scale of the organization usually doesn't matter but it's actual sense of mission and total ability to complete the mission. I'm for it.

Aw I might had too much thoughts at once, but I've already graduated Soka uni n feel a little bit of rush. It's all depending on how I manage my time and eventually career. I like staying chilly with kiwi n other friends even through the internet, but also I sometimes feel some sort of hurry that I have something else more suitable for me to make the world better and I can actually feel it.

It's also tough things to do, even if I could work for some international organization and accomplish something, no one actually know and can assess if my (and my colleagues,) accomplishments were valid as a certain contribution toward world peace or not. All seem like matter of my feeling and I hope those sensation wouldn't be dilution.

From time to time I just stop thinking about it and do things whatever I want to, but I've never completely forgotten the sense as a global citizen and never live happily on unhappiness of others.

Western society might be very peaceful, especially New Zealand seems very calm, relaxing and unbiased. I saw many fair trade products and people are normally very aware of environmental issues. This serenity make me feel like I have nothing more to do for world peace and I don't need to hustle anymore. Otherwise I'd better go to some second or third world country and witness actual devastation such as Haiti. Then I'd probably feel some urgency and know what I actually need to do rather than just existing as a student. Nowadays I'm just consuming and contributing to anything. I haven't done anything yet. However I believe in myself and believe that I can breakthrough the sluggish mentality and gain liquidity in my life. All up to my determination and consistent trial. When things are moving sluggish, those are not healthy and they are even harmful. Most of the causes of poverty and human unfairness are the spiritual attachment which many people possess and get stuck. Those attachment exist in anywhere human beings are. My certain mission is to provide spiritual liquidity to any scale of society I belong by specifying the place where lacking healthy flow. Management seems one of musts because I'll need the skill after I become executive position organizing people.

Geography, personality and organizational approach

I've launched a regional development project on Social networking site called mixi which has been used mainly by Japanese and in Japan domestically.

I've accumulated approximately 50 people and they seem quite solid member since they've remained in the community for quite long term.

Some of them might be motivated, other are not.

I think personalities of local people are largely affected by their geographical environment. When I went back to my hometown from Tokyo since 4 years ago, what I felt about the phenomenon and impression of local community was dim and sort of depression. I say even depression because of the image of Russian architecture resembled the total phenomenon of houses and buildings in my hometown.

Both Russian and Aomori communities are located in comparably cold place. Both have relatively heavy snow every winter.

Also it's often said that people in cold area tend not to open their mouth to avoid coldness coming in from mouth. That's why they are normally not talkative, and regarded as shy and introverted people. But the understanding as shy and introverted people are not necessarily true. They have their own strong sense and culture of humor. Albeit there are naturally some shy and introverted people, that's not the issue seen because of the geographical reasons.

The correspondence of geographical condition and personalities are one of intriguing topic to investigate.

Integrity

Nothing can function outside integrated world.

When people use words, they can communicate by understanding its context. From another spectrum of verbal communication by words, communication can be done because of definition albeit the 'definition' is not necessarily understood in the exactly same sense among communicators.

Naturally, the definition changes within context. Hence the definition and the context are the main facets of communication.

If I apply this thought into human society, sentences and paragraphs which generate context could be considered as groups in some scale. Definition could be used as a metaphor of individual since individuals function as a part of society likewise defined words take particular function in context.

While I was observing some media materials which was broadcasting about East Timor and its history, I considered about the destiny of militants and victims i.e. everybody in the country.

Obviously, what military force in Indonesia has done to local innocent people is somewhat suicidal. Oppressors often neglect long-term sights into people and themselves by attacking and killing local people who genuinely nurture anyone around the community and whole country including oppressors.

I still need to investigate the cause of the incident though, my assumption on that matter is that the lack of communication between top and bottom of social hierarchy could be the critical factor.

As Buddhism fundamentally encourage practitioners to have dialogues whether or not they are talking to Buddhist, the dialogue is the crucial part of integration. Lack of communication could cause negativity inside human spirituality. In the contrast, abundant communication generate mind-cherishing human nature and eventually become an authentic part of peaceful world.

The power of the word is significant. The art of the word is egalitarian.
People have a key to create happier and better world by their own artistic nature.

what's going on the world today

Haah, what's going on the world today, think about it think think about it - 'issues' by flight of the conchords

I could have spend such a nice time in the school called English Language Matters close to the Octagon in Dunedin.

Topics have been quite broad. But everything was ongoing and serious social issues such as environmental issues, internet addiction(hope I'm not), psychological disease, urbanization, Wikileaks, world politics, movies and so on.

Can't remember exactly what we have all discussed though, I'm certainly sure that the working and studying environment in the school is absolutely good. The energy given by teachers are ultimate source of motivation for all students no matter what subject they learn. It was very fortunate that I could participate and know their style of education. The style must reflect the value and philosophy of founder Sharron and successor Heather. In spite of the size of the school, the quality of education there is absolutely luxurious and ideal.

Basic style of class was mainly focusing on free discussion which intend to motivate all students to speak actively by themselves and by using their own brain, not just following the way as directed.

This kind of innovative style must require teachers such a broad and deep quality of knowledge and experience.

The legendaries

I just heard a song sung by DJ Yogi, the song was basically about Gandhi and his legendary deeds. I like his song and conviction through his behaviors to communicate Gandhi's thoughts and philosophies which could be summarized into the phrase 'be the change that you wanna see' sung many times by him in the song.

Speaking of legendary people, I think Tsunesaburo Makiguchi, 1st president of Soka Gakkai International, is also certainly worth being considered as one of the legends.
What I came across in my mind today was his profound philosophy that explains that any occasions happen in any scale can be described with the circumstances in village or same size of community. I think he is absolutely right, when people talk about international issues, those problems naturally resemble local disputes among land owners. In this way of understanding, it's also feasible to apply international affairs into local and personal occurrences. The application method should be utilized very effectively by anyone especially scholars when they try to think about something different in various scales. I might be able to apply knowledge of psychology about personal sickness on social issues such as whether a society is economically healthy or not. Biological science might be applied to political science as well.

The learning process is such a artistic one if learners try to make it more meaningful, efficient and exciting with subjective and social oriented passion.

next of Makiguchi

Tsunesaburo Makiguchi - the first president of Soka kyoiku Gakkai(Value-Creation and education institution) - has revealed his thoughts about 100 years ago. One of his main works is Geography of Human Life (Jinsei Chiri Gaku) which stated the alternation of human competition in history. The alternation of competition was described mainly into four pieces, militaristic, political, economic and humanitarian competition.

So far, his prediction about human competition has been made correctly. In the era of imperialism, the world competition was obviously militaristic in a broad sense. After the end of World War two, the period of cold war incurred worldwide political competition which mobilized a number of intelligent agency under the surface of the public debate and witness.

Since cold war was declared to encounter its end, the global-scale competition has mostly shifted to economic competition. Multicultural corporation has been experiencing harsh competition all over the world and also causing serious controversy such as environmental destruction.

I think that is an obvious fact that there is urgent necessity to operate global movement toward the environmental problem because the problem could endanger the human being herself.

Whereas previous three competitions, militaristic, political and economic, had concrete base in national affairs and consensus, the new challenge for human beings on whole earth apparently goes beyond national boundaries.

At this point, most urgent mission for whole global society is the invention and implementation of humanitarian morality which embrace everyone all over the world because environmental issue itself has to be addressed holistic way which to be fundamentally solved.

Furthermore, my point is that our generation's mission is to look at the world with our new vision. I mean our generation needs to create our own view and value to make the world better place for everyone and all living beings.

Therefore, basic point of view required to our generation is at least global. Our perspective must recognize national boundaries as one of divisions which should be equally recognized as individual, community, state, region and whole earth level.

The perspective also give some people more flexible view which is barely manipulated by political authority or overrepresents individual ideology.

All depend on the choices made by new generation.

The impact of Wikileaks and Motivational Statement

Since Wikileaks has released tremendous number of classified military documents, the organization has been adding more information on their website.

The another series of documents is the cables of international diplomacy which reveals international relations some of which are not shared in common.

Main arguments to the leaks are about undermining national security and ruining political relationships.

In terms of national security because of the leaks, leaks of military information are not very likely to harm the safety of insurgency in Afghanistan and Iraq because those kind of information, such as the place of deployment, expire quite fast, and presumably faster than being analyzed by adversaries. But still, some information could endanger soldiers through the information of the supply route and route of transportation.

Talking about another so-called risk of the leaks, undermining of international diplomacy, the rhetoric simply does not make any sense to me since most of leaked documents are involved in some secret connection between political authority and so-called terrorist groups like Al-Qaida.

Naturally, leakers and organizer of Wikileaks have taken some risks to be arrested, pressured and even assassinated due to its leak. There is no convincing reason why those people are taking risk to leak fallacy information only for their self-satisfaction and which is evident by reading leaked documents and its contents and the consequence the leak triggered.

I've determined to start making plan to construct my career not only academic but my whole life as a preacher of SGI and constructor of good karma.

So far, what I need to do is manifestation of my motivation why I want to apply for the scholarship and what I can contribute to Rotary org. I need to analyze myself to present well and let Rotary workers understand me as far as possible.

So something already determined by the requirements and my will is that I'm gonna work for the community through some websites and organizations which provide me opportunities to work and volunteer while making my career plan as clear as possible simultaneously.

I have to appreciate that I can make plan to contribute to the world society because of everyone I met in my life. Also I appreciate the enlightened tenets of Buddhism and SGI which always guide me to right direction.

PEACE

Where the heck do I wanna go? Which skill do I wanna and need to obtain?

I think it's time to be realistic. I can create any form of ideals in my mind, but mind never give me real experience which tells more than anything.

The bottom line is taking some action, that's already determined.

But what action? Where? What skill can I give and contribute to struggling people somewhere around the world?

Well, that's enough to think, the bottom line is just to take action. It has become even cliche that there are food that can be served for all human beings in this world, so problem is the distribution.

So why distribution has never been done properly to save the starved? The cause could be analyzed and argued in many ways.

But I want to argue that most people in rich countries are not even aware of those people because their mind is occupied by other things, such as jobs, hobbies, family, friends, study, romance...etc. Those things would increase and expand infinitely. There is no 'enough' money, fame, friends, knowledge and even love. Hence the very first thing people in rich countries should do is to appreciate to their situation which is materialistically satisfied at least to survive.

Next issue is that people are usually isolated and have no idea from what's actually going on third world. Although some journalists and other independent media have reported partial information about their life, those are still insufficient to save them all. I used the word 'insufficient' which describe that it's not 'enough' although I just wrote there is no 'enough.' My next though comes from this contradiction.

The world population have just kept growing. The tendency is especially rapid in third world countries, in other words in most of African countries and India. The tendency could be driven rather than being restrained if substantial amount of money and other survival aid including infrastructure are imported in those countries because primal economic development would normally encourage birthrate rather than discouraging. Therefore, the aids for those countries need to be done diligently with education.

Nevertheless, here is a contradiction again, to implement education thoroughly, the investment would obviously suck money for survival aids, such as food, accommodation and health care service.

Hence the aids should not be partial and temporary advocacy but thorough and permanent package, which only huge corporation and political authority can do.

That's why table for two was very revolutionary.
