Sponsor A Goal

2015-09-25T02:40:00.001-07:00

All,

I have sent you earlier an email regarding the Leckhampton Rovers sponsor a goal. Please will you give this your support and send it to your parents and ask them to support it.

I will need you to keep a record of the number of goals your team has scored if it is not recorded on Full Time. I know some of you do not use Full Time for this.

I will be sending out reminders throughout the season

A big thanks to Mark Beaney and in particular his son, Cameron, who has put this together and will be monitoring it through Full-Time. Any questions/queries are to be directed to Mark please.

I sincerely hope you will help support this excellent charity who are there helping children rebuild their lives following bereavement. If you want to know more about Winston's Wish, please visit

http://www.winstonswish.org.uk

Kind regards,

Dave

Leckhampton Rovers FC are raising money for charity and the club this season. We are running a team sponsored goal charity event over the whole season. This will give you the opportunity to sponsor your team for the number of goals they score in the season.

Half the money will go to the nominated charity, Winston's Wish, and the other half will go towards supporting the club.

Here is the link and all you have to do is fill in your details and select the teams you want to sponsor:

We very much hope that you will support the club. Please will you pass this on to all of the parents in your team.

Council Pavilions and My Holiday

2015-09-25T01:20:00.001-07:00

All,

Some of you were unable to access the Council changing rooms last week as the new key provided would not work. I have spoken to the Council and, should this happen again, please contact their Ground Superintendent on mobile number 07833 146 187 (Graham) who will come and assist.

For those of you who had problems, if you would like to ring Graham he will be pleased to meet you at the ground/pavilion to establish the problem.

Finally, and importantly, I am on holiday from this coming Sunday until 14th October so, if you have any issues, please contact Enzo (enzo.scognamiglio@hyundai-car.co.uk).

Kind regards,

Dave

Re: Problem

2015-09-20T14:11:00.001-07:00

All I would add to that is that when I picked up the two (U9) goals for Saturday mornings matches the one goal set had a brand new net in the bag but no clips to attach to goal frame. I used cable ties in the end.

Obviously a lesser issue than Andys but none the less probably worth checking all the goals again to make sure they are all complete and perhaps before taking them from the shed.

Thanks Rob.

Hi Dave

Thanks for your help with the goalposts yesterday but I had a major problem at my match today

When we opened the second goal there were only about two-thirds of the parts in there. Given that this was 35 minutes before kick off it caused quite a lot of stress.

Do you think someone may have raided this to get spare parts for their own goals? Whatever the reason it wasn't a lot of fun to get it sorted. We kicked off 30 minutes late in the end after we raided some local gardens for goal parts - funny in a way but not when you're in the middle of it.

Can I have a different goal please and also can we put something out to encourage other coaches to think of their colleagues when they raid the shed?

Thanks

Andy

--------------------------------

To all Cheltenham Youth League Member Club Secretaries:

We are still preparing the League 2015/16 handbook.

Please could you notify your Club's managers that the Club Directory, with all details of team managers, is on the CYFL website under "Downloads"

The link is:

http://btckstorage.blob.core.windows.net/site145/Club%20Directory%202015-16.pdf

You can also find the rules and other materials at www.cyfl.btck.co.uk

We aim to keep the web version of the Directory up-to-date, if and when details change over the season. Clearly this is an advantage compared to the paper version. We aim to have the Handbook printed and distributed within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for your efforts and patience as the new season gets under way.

Fwd: Full-Time: Cheltenham Youth Football League - Referees fees

2015-09-05T11:11:00.001-07:00

Email sent on behalf of the Cheltenham Youth Football League by Keith Iles

David Pitts,

A reminder to everyone that at the AGM in May, arrangements for payment of referee reverted to the situation 2 seasons ago.

Each team this season will pay the referee half the match fee:

U9 & U10 Mini Soccer - match fee £9 (£4.50 per team)
U11 upwards - match fee £20 (£10 per team)

In addition referees making a round trip of more than 10 miles are entitled to claim 36p per mile from the home team.

If teams obtain the referee's signature for the travelling expenses on the League form (attached), this amount can be reclaimed from the League.

Note that different payment arrangements apply in GFA County Cup games and are detailed in the leaflet the GFA circulates to clubs in each round. The League does not reimburse travelling expenses incurred in GFA Cup games.

While talking about referees, a reminder also of the requirements for home teams to confirm fixtures with the referee 2 clear days in advance of the game (rule 10(D)). Contact details for the appointed referee appear on the email sent out by full-time advising the referee appointment.

David Pitts,

Afternoon

I know most of you have got your players registrations into Matt Roberts and you probably don't need reminding that the 14 days is this weekend

However, I would rather re-remind you then have broken fixtures to start the season - which can result in a 3 point deduction and a £20 fine.

So please get them to Matt Roberts by tomorrow (U10s should be in by the end of today)

Hi Dave

Please be advised that new locks have been fitted to all our pavilion doors this week. This means that from today, (19^th August) your old keys will not work.

We have given John Hunt a supply of the new keys for him to distribute at your meeting this evening. Your club will receive two keys. Please feel free to have more cut if you need to, but in the interest of security, please be mindful of who you give them to.

Dee Pates will be giving out keys to all the clubs in the youth league so you should will get a couple more keys from her on the 27th August. However, I know that one of your youth teams has a match this Sunday morning and I need to make sure that they can get in to the change rooms. If you aren't attending the meeting tonight, or you need me to get in touch with the manager of that team, please give me a call on the number below.
We did have a few reported instances of thefts from unattended change rooms last year, to reduce the risk of this happening, please would you remind all players not to take any valuables with them to games and please ensure that the changing rooms are locked at all times when unattended.
Should you need to contact our duty officer on match day please use this mobile number 07833 146187.

We hope that you have an enjoyable season and the weather is kind!

Junior parkrun at The Park Campus

2015-08-12T14:40:00.001-07:00

On the 23rd August Cheltenham is getting a Junior parkrun.

This is just like the existing parkrun except that it's for kids aged
4-14 and is 2km. This takes place at The Park Campus on Sunday
mornings at 9:30 and the 23rd will be the first one. It's fun, it's
free and a great way to build fitness or to get fit and have a lot of
fun at the same time.

Get your kids along, watch them run and watch them smile! It's what we
were born to do..

All the details are on the parkrun page here ::

LRFC Presentation Day

2015-07-16T13:32:00.001-07:00

Saturday 13^th June 2015 officially marked the end on another highly successful season for Leckhampton Rovers Football Club, and was celebrated at our largest Presentation Day to date.

23 teams, the Academy and hundreds of family members and supporters gathered at our spiritual home, Leckhampton Primary School, to celebrate to season and achievement of all the players at the club.

Despite the continual downpours everyone enjoyed the BBQ, hog roast, games and penalty shout outs

The Players were recognised – not just with free burgers and hot dogs – but also awards for leading goal scorer, coaches players of the season, most improved player, players player of the season and club man of the season, and all Academy received medals for their endeavours this season.

We also celebrated one of most successful seasons in terms of trophy wins :

U9 Mambas – Development Cup Winners
U11 Harriers – Arthur Stiley Cup Winners
U14 Cheetahs – Sportsmanship Award for U14 Division
U15 Cougars - Matthew Wyatt Cup Winners
Men's 1stXI – Junior Charity Cup Winners

So, the season comes to end for the largest junior football club on Cheltenham, although planning is already taking place for next season when we expect to have around 26 teams playing in leagues from Under 9s to Veterans.
