Last week I did a little Summer Mason Jar Roundup and was immediately inspired to run to my garage and do something with all of the jars I had lying around.

I used up my Rust-Oleum chalkboard paint I had on hand from this project instead of using my own chalkboard paint recipe, which I usually do.

I did 2 coats, and now that I look closely they could have used one more. But I am loving them to hold my herb clippings. I have them on my window sill so I can easily grab what I need while I am cooking instead of having to run outside 3 times during my meal prep!

I think they would also look cute to organize kids craft supplies: pens, pencils, markers or beauty supplies: brushes, eyeliners, mascaras, and lip liners.

My husband is so freking amazing!

He works his but off to to provide for us, while always carving out lots of time to spend together as a family. I really wanted to do something nice for him for Father's Day and I decided to start with a trip to World Market for some Father’s Day Gifts.

World market is celebrating Dad's this year with an amazing Dad's Day sweepstakes! Each week for 4 weeks they are giving away a $1,000 World Market gift card for you and one for your dad too!

Now, I am a World Market junkie, but truthfully, I am usually there shopping for myself or for gifts for girl friends. It was a fun change to be there with my husband in mind. I found so many fun things, that I ended up in there for 1 1/2 hours just trying to decide what would be the best way to show this amazing father how much we love him!

I ended up spending a lot of time in the  BBQ & Grilling section and decided on getting some suipplies to create a great dinner for the entire family.

One of our fave summer dinners is grilled homemade pizza using fresh veggies and herbs from our garden. So a proper grilling pizza pan was in order and of course we love to grill some of those veggies as well and this fabulous grill pan will keep all of those little guys from falling through the grates.We are short on light out in our yard, so I had to pick up the sweet patio string lights as well!

I also found some fun gourmet food items at World Market, well I always do. They have such a large and fun food section and I can always find something unique and delicious to make a meal extra special!

I think my husband was really touched that we went to the trouble to create a personalized and fun dinner for him and we can keep on using these awesome supplies all summer!

We were super happy to continue the relaxing celebration after the kids went to bed and the sun went down! Those lights set a great atmosphere and it was wonderful to just enjoy the warm weather and chat away the evening.

Who loves CB2?

Oh, me too. They have to coolest, furniture, accessories, and art and I am just drooling over the new CB2 and Novogratz Collection

The entire collection is based off of the Novogratz husband and wife team's personal home in Brazil. First of all, I may live in Denver but some of these pieces would totally rock my pad!

That console table is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time! And I sure would love to lounge in that sleek and mod purple armless chair!

Don't you want to go relax in a gorgeous vacation home in a luxurious location?

I do, so excuse me while I go enter myself!

A great big shout out to my neighbor Chris for sharing his tried and true G-Free Bread recipe with me. I am pretty much gluten free all the time and my daughter is most of the time (bandwagon jumper, except when cake is involved:). Since that choice, my

daily headaches are G-O-N-E.

Like totally. Headaches I have been having every single day for the past 15 years. Just- like -that.

Since this discovery I have been working furiously in my kitchen to come up with some good substitutes. I now have a foolproof cookie recipe

to satisfy my sweet tooth, which taste nothing like the cardboard, hard, dried out store bought gluten free cookies.

But, I was tired of spending $5 a loaf for G-Free bread which always ended up tasting like cardboard. My neighbor, Chris has been G-Free for a while and he has been talking about this bread since way before I went G-Free. I finally cornered him and demanded the recipe, which he so generously shared.

I have made this bread 3 times now and it has turned out great every time. It lasts 5-7 days on the counter in an airtight container. Chris tried the fridge, but the bread dried out super quickly. Last loaf, we had a bunch left on day 6 and I whipped up some scrumptious french toast!

This is the best sandwich style bread I have ever made-gluten free or otherwise. The texture, density, and consistency are perfect for slicing up for sandwiches.

You can use a ready made all purpose flour mix, like Bob's Red Mill or you can make your own. Here is the blend I use for this recipe.

Spring has {finally} arrived here in Colorado and boy oh boy, am I ready!

I have a pretty easy natural style and Tree Hut has been assisting me in getting myself ready for my flip flops and tank tops! I had the opportunity to try out Tree Hut hand cream, Tree Hut foot scrub, and Tree Hut foot cream.

I grabbed my kids and made an afternoon of pedicures for all of us! I filled up my bathtub and had my 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son sit on the edge to soak their feet. When I popped the top on the Peppermint & Sugar Foot Scrub they both went bananas. It smells just lovely.

A mild minty scent, but the sweetness just turns it itno a heavely experience. I took turns exfoliating their tootsies and my own. We dried off and then we all got our turns getting massaged with the the Invigorating Foot Cream in a matching scent. It was so sweet to pamper each other and the kids were blissed out. I let them massage my feet and legs and that was a fun first for us!

Our feet and legs were so smooth and moisturized, without being greasy. My daughter and I continued our spa afternoon and painted our nails fun colors to complete the pampering!

These products are fabulous and I am so excited that they are all made in the USA with organic shea butter, do not contain parabens or DMDM, and do not test on animals.

I threw the Renewing Hand Cream in my purse and pull it out every time I feel dry, which is all the time here in Denver. I am not usually a fan of rose scented products, but I was pleasantly surprised that this Moroccan Rose scented cream is mild and fresh smelling, not overpowering at all!

Now that I am rocking my healthy and naturally gorg hands and feet, I need to bust out my favorite natural summer styles. I would wear loose linen pants and a white tank top every day if I could get away with it. I branched out a little and this fun outfit over on Polyvore!

How have you been preparing for spring and summer? What's your go-to style for summer?

These were SO easy and fun to make. They were inexpensive but still feel like customized planter pots!

I started with plain old terra cotta pots from Hobby Lobby. I chose 2 fun spring colors from Lowes. Have you seen this paint there yet?

It is primer, paint, and weather resistant top coat all in one. LOVE the idea and love the color and finish, but I HATE the spray nozzle! It hurt my fingers almost immediately when I began painting. Now, I know you will get some of that with a big spray paint project and I have used a lot of different types of spray paint in my day. I have to say, this is the worst designed nozzle and most uncomfortable spray paint product I have ever used. I am so sad to say it because I wanted to love it, but there it is-the cold hard truth.

I painted the pots and dishes with 3 coats of the Valspar paint and then broke out my stencils and chalkboard paint. I traced the stencil with a pen and then filled in my outline with chalkboard paint. That was about 2 coats with a few extra touch up spots. I was going to use my Elmers Paint Pens to trace around the outside of the chalkboard design to really make it pop. But the paint pen did not jive with the spray paint and it was all runny and beading up. I wiped it off and instead decided to use my chalk to create the pop I wanted.

I made a couple of these pots for teacher appreciation last week, and will also give them to a few other teachers for end of the year gifts.  This way we could write thank you on the pots, but the teachers can erase it and write on whatever they choose!

If you read this post, then you know most teachers have enough "I love my teacher" paraphernalia!

Now, I need to go make some of these beauties for my patio table. Can't decide if I should try the Valspar again or go for a different more comfortable brand. I am pretty sure the perfect color will dictate the choice. We sometimes have to suffer for beauty-right?
