Trying to figure out this "Linking" Thing.....

I just can't seem to remember all the steps, each time I try to Link!

My 12 year old Granddaughter Eme is very helpful, but she doesn't quite understand
why I "Just don't Get it!"

So much has changed, but than I seem to be just the same.....
figuring out, Again my sign in & passwords, you'd think at almost 63 I would learn to write this stuff down, but then I would probably forget where I wrote it! Am I the only one who feels that way?

For now, I am goint to just add some photos (if I can figure that out)

So much Love as gone on & I've if tried to keep up with all the blogging friends I followed for so long ~ 10+ years...

I could see my page and visit, but I could not for anything recover my account, I would visit as a dreaded lurker

Today I spent countless hours until I had {Fingers crossed} success!!!!!

Can't Believe it's been a Year....

I check in often to all the wonderful blogging friends I followed and enjoyed for so many years...

I can hardly believe it has been over a year since my Last Post

I quickly moved from my sweet little place high in the sky, moved in with my Daughter, Son in law and my wonderful 3 Grands...

I settled in quickly and then in early October, my sweet lady Angie who I took care of for 10 years passed away.

I am glad I had the planning for Daughter Nikki's Wedding to keep me busy and that I was! I made all the flowers for the Wedding,

every bouquet, every boutineer, every table arrangement. when I say made each flower, I mean I took lots of vintage fabrics and cut and formed each petal or each flower.....

and Loved every minute.

The first picture is Nikki's bouquet, most of the fabrics making up each flower were vintage treasured pieces from family, fabric from her Grandmother, Great Grandmother, her Nana,

lace from My wedding dress and that from her Sisters Dress too. a wonderful treasure to save.

The Bridesmaids held hand dyed satin Composite bouquets with each

having a unique vintage rhinestone button center.

The Mom's wristlets are all multi strand Pearl Bracelets with a removable flower

It's been so long since I started this Blog,

and not to forget the 3 years prior that I had a

Blog and Blogger made it vanish!

I have enjoyed this & it will remain

as a journal....

So many things are happening in Life

and it is time to move on....

My sweet Daughter Nikki is getting married this

coming year, I am currently moving

which was so unexpected after living in my

sweet little upper flat in the sky

I only had a days notice with

be out in 3 weeks.

Now I will be moving in with

My other Daughter, Mandy & her Family

Basement Dweller I will be for the time being

What is nice, I will be living with My Sweet Grands,

My life is So My Grandmothers

I grew up with her living with us & it was wonderful.

I hope My Grands will feel the same way!

Off to new adventures

and

New Ideas....

Am I Swamped?

In a good way

I had an old friend call me last week to ask if I was interested

in looking at a home full of Estate Treasures,

Of course the answer was YES....

I still have another load to pick-up

my car is Still full

I love that little metal child's chair

That's Fiestaware from 1 box,

I have 7 more to open

I have a 6' 1950's Silver Christmas tree

that goes along with the Ornaments

I Love the Hairpin Legs, going to unscrew from that

piece of plywood.

All this is going to be sorted, cleaned & listed

lots of Craig's List, eBay & Yard selling

coming soon

Looks like I'm going to be very

busy....

My daughter's think I in over my head,

I won't admit it to them,

but

I am Overwhelmed!!!!!

Still working on the mess... but while clearing out the one room (Studio/Work room) it seems the other few rooms I have are taking on the meaning of disaster.... Why is one rooms cleaning seem to get the rest of the place also looking like a mess? I have boxes stacked in my now bedroom which use to be the dining room and the living room which has limited seating, now only has room for 1....

Good thing that I am the only 1 who lives here.

I'll be back again, hopefully this weekend with photos too!

A before nightmare

I want to put behind me...

Hopefully this post & photos are the before with an after quickly followed.

This past year of no internet & no blogging was not a do nothing year, it was filled with both creative moments and back breaking work...

Lots of fun stitching projects for profit and gifts with the most important being the Bridal Garter I stitched for my Niece Ashley's Wedding

[That will be a separate post when I get the photos]

The back breaking was several Estate sales, 2 of them being for the same family

Both held within a month...not to forget that I also injured my knee doing many stairs with heavy boxes, having to use a cane at the Wedding.

Now to get to the posted photos

The room pictured is my work room / studio which as you can see is a Mess!!!!

There's not much work or creating happening lately, because of the mess in there.

This room used to be my bedroom but in the summer I switched my dining room and bed around. I only have AC as a window unit in the kitchen, so I'm much cooler sleeping in the dining room and decided to keep it this way since its just me up here.

All those boxes in my studio are supplies for creating or vintage treasures left over from the Estate sales....

Boy, it sure takes me a long time to get to the point...

So here goes,

Brrrrrrrr it's cold outside

I know we expect it to be cold in January

especially in Michigan...

Looks like we may be having another winter like last year

The temperature is - 29 degrees with the wind chill

Wake up to that, white stuff

a flat tire and you know it's going to be

How's everyone doing this first week of 2015?

I had hopes of cleaning & organizing, that has not happened

So far...

What I seem to be doing most is ~~playing~~ learning

everything I can about my new Kindle...

I have learned to add Apps & play games

Farm Hero Saga is currently a time killer for me

One thing I'm enjoying most is the camera

the ease of taking & the "even I can do it" editing!

It's been almost 1 year since I've had a computer at home ( Jan. 12th)

Now I'm back! My daughter Mandy & sil Pat gave me a Kindle Fire for Christmas...
I.Have a lot of learning to do on this new device but that's ok with me, I'm able to be back online!

My Cousin Angela

is a Gigantic

Elvis Presley fan....

She lost count on how many times

she saw Elvis in her life...

Each year she went to Las Vegas with her

Dad & went Every Day, Every Show

She is even in a Movie of Elvis

which the name of the film I can't remember,

but he kisses her and a friend that was with her

on stage (in the movie)

The Stories she has, the wonderful photos

Last weekend was her

60th Birthday,

She & 2 of our friends took

a long weekend trip

to Memphis Tenn.

Can you believe she had never yet been to

I was suppose to go with them, but last minute

changes prevented me from going

besides doing a wee bit of treasure hunting at the

local thrift stores, I was able to stitch together these

2 little critters....

See the miniature doll cupboard,

perfect for photo props

I found it at the local Salvation Army Store

for $4

it was a light colored wood, but I took

it home, sanded, white washed & had a

bit of creative fun with my new watercolor pencils....

then I added a coat of johnson's paste wax

I have spent all day listing on eBay,

still being without a computer

I get to spend the day at my daughters

using her computer,

today it normally takes me only a

few hours to check all my emails,

FB & a wee bit of blog checking

but today it has taken me many hours,

besides listing the 3 little bears that I created this week,

I decided to try to ship Internationally on eBay,

so trying to figure all that out took ForEver.

If it turns out to not help & be a pain in my

Brain and backside,

I will rethink

Anyway, I sure do miss being able

to blog on a daily basis

I miss visiting all you wonderful

blogging friends & seeing what you've been up too!

I hope your weather is starting to get
