ในโลกปัจจุบันอันแสนวุ่นวาย ที่มาพร้อมกับการแข่งขันและความเครียดในการทำงานและการดำรงชีวิต หลายๆคนพยายามไขว่คว้าหาทางออกด้วยการเสาะหาความสุขหรือลืมความเครียดด้วยการหันเหความสนใจจากความทุกข์ที่มี ไปสู่กิจกรรมอื่นๆอย่าง ดูหนัง ช้อปปิ้ง หาอาหารอร่อยๆทาน หรือละทิ้งโลกแห่งความเป็นจริงอันโหดร้าย ไปมีชีวิตเสมือนจริงในโลกสังคมออนไลน์แทน แต่จากประสบการณ์ของเรา เราค้นพบว่าความสุขมันไม่ได้มาจากการทานอาหารระดับมิชลิน สตาร์ หรือจากกระเป๋าแบรนด์เนมใบล่าสุด หรือแม้แต่งานที่มีจะมีรายได้กี่หลักกับไลฟ์สไตล์อันหรูหราซะหน่อย โอเคๆ มันมีความสุข แบบชั่วครู่ ชั่วยามแหล่ะ แต่เอาจริงๆความตื่นเต้นความสุขมันอยู่แค่แว้บเดียว ตอนที่ตัดสินใจซื้อ กับตอนได้ใช้ครั้งแรก เสร็จแล้วเราก็มักจะมองหาของที่อยากได้ชิ้นใหม่ ที่แพงขึ้น หายากมากขึ้นต่อไปเรื่อยๆอยู่ดี เราค้นพบว่าความสุขจริงๆแล้วมันไม่สามารถหาได้จากภายนอกหรอก ตราบใดที่ใจเรามันพร่องเมื่อนั้นมันก็ต้องทุรนทุรายหาความสุขจากคนอื่น สิ่งของ ไปเรื่อยๆ แบบไม่มีจุดสิ้นสุด นั่นคือบทเรียนชีวิตที่เราพบเมื่อสิบปีที่แล้ว

ตอนนั้นเรายังทำอาชีพพนักงานต้อนรับบนเครื่องบินในสายการบินประจำชาติออสเตรเลีย ซึ่งเป็นอาชีพที่เด็กสาวหลายๆคนไฝ่ฝัน ด้วยรายได้ที่ค่อนข้างสูง ถ้าเทียบกับพนักงานออฟฟิศทั่วไปในอายุเท่าๆกัน เราได้บินไปหลายๆประเทศ บางทีก็ได้บินชั้นธุรกิจ หรือชั้นหนึ่งเวลาไปทำงาน ชีวิตตอนนั้นถือว่าดีมากสำหรับผู้หญิงอายุสามสิบต้นๆ มีบ้าน มีรถ ด้วยน้ำพักน้ำแรงตัวเอง มีครอบครัวที่อบอุ่น แต่...มันไม่มีความสุขเอาซะเลย อาจจะด้วยการทำงานที่ต้องเดินทางบ่อยและอยู่คนเดียวในห้องโรงแรมซะเป็นส่วนใหญ่ ความคิดฟุ้งซ่านมันก็มีเยอะ คิดถึงแต่สิ่งที่ขาด ซึ่งก็คือความรัก เจอผู้ชายที่เข้ามาในชีวิตก็ไม่เคยลงตัว เพราะความคาดหวังที่สูงมากของเรา ช่วงนั้นยอมรับว่ากลายเป็นคนเอาแต่ใจ แหละเหวี่ยงมากกับคนใกล้ชิด จนวันนึงแม่คงทนไม่ไหว 555 มาเล่าว่า เนี่ยดูรายการที่คุณเหมียว วรัตดา ที่ไปวิปัสสนาที่โกเอ็นก้า ว่าเค้าเป็นคนอารมณ์ร้าย แล้วพอไปนั่งสมาธิมาก็เปลี่ยนไป ฟังดูน่าสนใจนะ ณ จุดๆนี้ต้องบอกว่าขอบคุณแม่มากที่มาเล่าให้ฟังตอนนั้น ถึงแม้ว่าเราจะยังไม่ได้ตัดสินใจไปทันที จนเกิดเหตุการณ์บางอย่างที่ทำให้เราตัดสินใจไปในที่สุด

จากนั้นเป็นต้นมา เราก็ไปปฏิบัติมาต่อเนื่องทุกปี เป็นเวลาสิบปีแล้ว ตั้งแต่ปี 2009 เราไปทั้งเป็นผู้ปฏิบัติและเป็นธรรมบริกร สำหรับเรามันคือการพักผ่อนประจำปี ที่ได้ล้างพิษทั้งร่างกายและจิตใจไปในเวลาเดียวกัน ปีที่แล้วเราลงรายละเอียดไว้นิดหน่อยในInstagram แต่หลังจากปีนี้มีเพื่อนๆน้องๆมาถามข้อมูล อันเนื่องมาจากโพสท์ของคุณหนูดี ที่พึงกลับจากปฏิบัติ เลยคิดว่าจะเขียนไว้เป็นข้อมูลสำหรับหลายๆคน ที่กำลังสนใจ หรือกำลังตัดสินใจจะลองไปดู สำหรับblogนี้จะให้ข้อมูลเพิ่มในเรื่องการสมัคร และการเตรียมตัวไปเข้าคอร์สที่โกเอ็นก้านะคะ

ขั้นตอนที่ 1 : แนวทางปฏิบัติเหมาะกับคุณถ้า...

สาเหตุหลักๆที่เลือกไปที่นี่ เพราะจริงๆแล้วเราเป็นคนที่ต่อต้านพุทธพานิชย์มากๆ แล้วก็ไม่เคยเชื่อเรื่องทำบุญมากๆแล้วจะขึ้นสวรรค์อะไรนั่น เราไม่ชอบพิธีกรรมใดๆ เพราะรู้สึกว่ามันไม่ใช่หลักศาสนาที่พระพุทธเจ้าสอน เราไม่เชื่อเรื่องปาฏิหารณ์ที่แบบท่านประสูติแล้วเดินเจ็ดก้าว แล้วก็เคยไปปฏิบัติกับอีกแนวทางหนึ่งที่ใช้วิธีดูการพอง-ยุบของท้อง แต่เราไม่สามารถนั่งนิ่งๆได้เกินสิบนาทีด้วยซ้ำ แล้วตลอดเวลาที่ฟังคำสอนก็รู้สึกว่ามันไม่ใช่ทางเรา เราเลยยิ่งไม่สนใจเรื่องธรรมะ บุญบาปเข้าไปใหญ่ (ไม่ใช่ว่าแนวทางเค้าไม่ดีนะ แต่เราแค่รู้สึกว่าเราไม่เก็ต) จนวันหนึ่งที่เราเริ่มตั้งคำถามกับตัวเองเรื่องความสุขจริงๆแล้วมันคืออะไรนี่ล่ะ แล้วเลยลองค้นหาคำว่าGoengaในอินเตอร์เน็ตดู ก็พบว่าท่านเป็นชาวพม่า เชื้อสายอินเดีย ซึ่งสืบทอดแนวทางปฏิบัตินี้มา ไม่มีพิธีกรรมใดๆระหว่างคอร์ส เพราะดูในตารางประจำวันแล้วมีแต่นั่งปฏิบัติ ปฏิบัติและปฏิบัติ ความรู้สึกแรกเลยคือ จะไหวเหรอวะเนี่ย นั่งสมาธิก็ได้แค่แป๊บๆ แต่เอาวะ ไม่ลองไม่รู้

ท่านอาจารย์โกเอ็นก้า หรือ S.N. Goenka ได้เริ่มก่อตั้งศูนย์วิปัสนาขึ้นครั้งแรกที่อินเดียในปี 2517 และหลังจากนั้นก็ได้มีการเผยแพร่ธรรมะในแนวทางนี้ไปใน 94 ประเทศ รวมถึงประเทศไทย ซึ่งปัจจุบันมีอยู่ทั้งหมด 9 ศูนย์ ด้วยความที่ท่านสอนโดยตัดส่วนพิธีกรรมออกและเน้นแต่แก่นคำสอน จึงทำให้คนต่างศาสนาก็สามารถมาปฏิบัติและเห็นผลได้ จากประสบการณ์ของเราในการปฏิบัติ มันช่วยในการเคลียร์หรือจัดระเบียบความคิด ความเครียดที่เราต้องเจอมาตลอดปี ช่วยให้เราพักสมองจากเครื่องมือสื่อสาร แล้วได้ผลพลอยได้คือการได้อยู่กับตัวเองและรู้จักตัวเองมากขึ้น ทั้งหมดนี้เป็นเพราะเราต้องอยู่เงียบๆคนเดียวกับความคิดที่มันดังในหัวมากกว่าปกติ แบบไม่มีสิ่งเร้าอื่นๆให้เราหันเหความสนใจได้เลย แล้วมันจะยิ่งดังมากขึ้นถี่ขึ้นเวลาที่เราต้องนั่งเฉยๆหลับตา พยายามจดจ่ออยู่กับลมหายใจ

อ่านมาถึงตรงนี้ ถ้าคิดว่าจะไปต่อก็ได้เวลาสมัครค่ะ ขอบอกไว้ก่อนว่าคอร์สพวกนี้ต้องจองล่วงหน้าอย่างน้อย3-4เดือน และจะจองยากโดยเฉพาะพวกคอร์สที่อยู่ในช่วงวันหยุดยาว อย่างที่บอกว่าในเมืองไทยมีศูนย์อยู่ทั้งหมด9ศูนย์ 341ศูนย์ใน 94ประเทศทั่วโลก เราสามารถเช็คตารางคอร์ส ได้ ที่เว็บhttp://thaidhamma.net. คอร์สก็จะมีหลากหลาย ตั้งแต่เบสิคที่ทุกคนจะต้องเข้าคือ 10 วัน 20, 30 จนถึง45วัน แต่ศิษย์ใหม่ทุกคนจะต้องเริ่มจากคอร์สเบื้องต้นคือ 10 วันก่อน ส่วนตัวเคยไปอยู่ไม่กี่ศูนย์ แต่พบว่ามีความสัปปายะ เหมาะสำหรับตนเองก็เลยไม่ค่อยอยากลองที่อื่นๆเท่าไหร่ ก็จะมีศูนย์ธรรมกมลา ที่ปราจีนบุรี ธรรมอาภา ที่พิษณุโลก และ ธรรมธานีที่กรุงเทพ ส่วนตัวจะเลือกไปปราจีนกับพิษณุโลก เพราะการเดินทางค่อนข้างสะดวก อากาศดี และส่วนใหญ่คือมีห้องพักเดี่ยวที่มีห้องน้ำในตัว

การเข้าปฏิบัตินี้ไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายใดๆ แต่จะได้รับการสนับสนุนทุนจากศิษย์เก่าเพื่อช่วยให้การดำเนินเป็นไปได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง ตามความตั้งใจของท่านอาจารย์โกเอ็นก้า (เราจะได้ฟังว่าสาหตุมาจากอะไรในช่วงระหว่าง10วันนี่ล่ะ) พอหลังจากจบคอร์ส เราก็สามารถเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการบริจาคสมทบทุนค่าใช้จ่ายในการจัดคอร์สสำหรับศิษย์รุ่นต่อๆไปได้

การเดินทางไปศูนย์ปฏิบัติ

หลังจากสมัครเข้าอบรมในเว็บแล้ว เราก็จะต้องรออีเมล์ยืนยันว่ามีสิทธิ์เข้าร่วมการอบรม (ยิ่งคอร์สช่วงวันหยุดยาว นี่จะจองยากมาก ต้องจองกันล่วงหน้าอย่างน้อย3-4เดือนทีเดียว) ในเมล์ก็จะมีแจ้งรายละเอียดต่างๆ รวมถึงการเดินทาง ปกติเรามักเดินทางกับรถบัสของทางศูนย์ เพราะสะดวกและไม่ต้องกังวลกับรถ หรือจะแอบหนีกลับบ้านได้ระหว่างทาง

ข้อปฏิบัติที่สำคัญที่เกี่ยวกับที่พักและสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกต่างๆแล้ว ก็คือศีลค่ะ การเข้ามาปฏิบัติในแนวทางนี้ จะต้องถือศีลขั้นต่ำคือศีล5 และศึล8สำหรับผู้ปฏิบัติเก่า ตลอดเวลา10วัน

ศีล 5 (สำหรับศิษย์ใหม่)

1. งดเว้นจากการเบียดเบียน ชีวิต ไม่ฆ่าสิ่งมีชีวิตอื่นๆ
2. งดเว้นจากถือเอาของที่เขามิได้ให้

3. งดเว้นจากการประพฤติผิดในกาม

4. งดเว้นจากการพูดเท็จ หรือนินทา

5. งดเว้นจากการเสพของมึนเมา รวมทั้งยาเสพติด

ศีล 8 (มีเพิ่มเติมจากศีล5มาอีก3 ข้อ)

1. งดเว้นจากการเบียดเบียน ชีวิต ไม่ฆ่าสิ่งมีชีวิตอื่นๆ

2. งดเว้นจากถือเอาของที่เขามิได้ให้

3. งดเว้นจากการประพฤติผิดในกาม

4. งดเว้นจากการพูดเท็จ หรือนินทา

5. งดเว้นจากการเสพของมึนเมา รวมทั้งยาเสพติด

6. งดเว้นจากการบริโภคอาหารในเวลาวิกาล

7. งดเว้นจากการประดับตกแต่งด้วยเครื่องประดับและของหอม

8. งดเว้นจากการนอนบนที่นอนสูงใหญ่

ดังนั้นจึงเป็นที่มาที่ผู้ปฏิบัติจะไม่ทานมื้อเย็น เพราะต้องถือศีล8 นั่นเอง นี่ก็เป็นอีกสาเหตุนึงที่เราเรียกการเข้าปฏิบัติว่าเป็นการdetoxทางกายด้วย เพราะนอกจากงดข้าวเย็นตั้งสิบวัน เรายังทานแต่อาหารมังสวิรัติด้วย ถือว่าเป็นการทำความสะอาดลำไส้และจิตใจไปในคราวเดียวกันเลยทีเดียว

Step 2: ต้องเตรียมอะไรบ้าง และอย่างไร

พอได้อีเมล์ยืนยันว่าการจองคอร์สของเราสำเร็จแล้ว เราต้องเตรียมวันลาอย่างน้อยแปดวัน รวมวันเสาร์ อาทิตย์ 4วัน ก็จะเป็น12วันพอดี ก็คือ วันเดินทาง1วัน ที่ลงทะเบียนรายงานตัว เข้าที่พัก, วันปฏิบัติ 10วันเต็ม จบด้วยวันเดินทางกลับ1วัน ดังนั้นมนุษย์เงินเดือนถึงชอบไปกันช่วงวันหยุดยาวเพราะไม่ต้องลาเยอะ รวมถึงบางคนก็ชอบไปปฏิบัติช่วงปีใหม่ เพื่อเริ่มต้นปีใหม่ด้วยสิ่งดีๆด้วย

เก็บกระเป๋ากัน!!

ถ้าถามว่าเราต้องแพ็คอะไรไปช่วง10วันน่ะเหรอ ถึงแม้ว่าการเข้าร่วมปฏิบัติที่นี่ ไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย เพราะศิษย์เก่าจะช่วยกันบริจาค แต่เราก็ควรต้องรู้ไว้ว่าต้องเอาของใช้อะไรไปบ้าง เพื่อการเตรียมตัวที่ดี และประสบผลตามที่ตั้งใจไว้ คือมีการติดต่อพูดคุยให้น้อยที่สุด

1. ชุดปฏิบัติ ที่นี่ไม่บังคับให้ต้องนุ่งขาวห่มขาว แต่ก็ต้องสุภาพ ไม่รบกวนสายตาผู้อื่นระหว่างการปฏิบัติ พูดง่ายๆก็ สีสุภาพ ไม่ฉูดฉาด โดดเด่นเกินไป ปกปิดมิดชิด เสื้อยืดแขนสั้น กางเกงขายาว ไม่รัดรูปร่าง ไม่โปร่งบางจนเกินไป แนะนำว่าควรใส่อะไรที่นั่งปฏิบัติได้สบายๆเสื้อยืด กางเกงเลนี่ดีที่สุด ผู้หญิงหลายๆคนก็นิยมใส่ผ้าถุง แต่เรานั่งไม่ได้ กลัวโป๊ เออ แล้วก็แนะนำว่าเอาผ้าคลุมไหล่ไปด้วย เวลาอากาศเย็น หรือจะเอามาใช้คลุมหน้าตักก็ได้ สำหรับคนขี้หนาว ก็เช็คสภาพอากาศดีๆ เตรียมเสื้อคาร์ดิแกน หรือถุงเท้ามาด้วยจะได้ปฏิบัติสบายๆ

เราสามารถซักเสื้อผ้าได้เองระหว่างช่วงพัก หรือจะส่งซักก็มีบริการ รู้สึกจะราคาชิ้นละ 5 บาทหรือจะเอามาให้พอเลยก็ได้ อ้อ อย่าลืมชุดนอน ชุดชั้นใน ผ้าขนหนูอาบน้ำ หรือจะเอารองเท้าแตะที่ใส่ในห้องไปด้วยก็ดี

2. ของใช้ส่วนตัว: เตรียมของใช้ตามปกติเพื่อรักษาสุขอนามัย แต่อย่าลืมว่าต้องไม่มีกลิ่นหอมแรง (ดูศีลข้อ7)ของจำเป็นอื่นๆก็ กระดาษชำระที่ใช้ในห้องน้ำ เอาไปซัก2-3ม้วน น้ำยาซักชุดชั้นใน ผ้าอนามัย ขวดน้ำที่เติมได้ และอื่นๆ แต่ถ้าเกิดลืม หรือต้องใช้อะไรขึ้นมา ก็สามารถติดต่อผู้จัดการคอร์สหรือธรรมบริการเพื่อขอความช่วยเหลือได้เช่นกันค่ะ

3. อันนี้ optional ของบริจาค แต่ละศูนย์ยังรับบริจาคพวกของแห้ง ที่ไม่มีนม เนย ไข่ เนื้อสัตว์ หรือพวกชา กาแฟ สำหรับน้ำปานะ ของแห้งต่างๆ ของสดก็ได้เช่นกันค่ะ

สิ่งที่จะต้องเจอใน10วัน?

สิ่งสำคัญที่สุดที่จะต้องรู้เลย คือเราจะต้อง งดการพูดคุยตลอดเวลา10วัน หรือที่เรียกว่า Noble Silence แต่มีข้อยกเว้นเวลาที่ต้องขอความช่วยเหลือในกรณีจำเป็นกับธรรมบริการ หรือเวลาสอบอารมณ์กับ AT หรืออาจารย์ผู้ช่วยสอน นอกจากนี้คือ หลีกเลี่ยงการสื่อสารกับผู้ปฏิบัติคนอื่น ไม่ว่าจะด้วยช่องทางใดๆ รวมถึงการสบตาคนอื่นด้วย

ทำไม? การที่เราต้องอยู่คนเดียวเงียบๆกับความคิดนี่ล่ะ มันจะทำให้เราเรียนรู้อะไรหลายๆอย่าง ที่เราอาจจะไม่เคยรู้มาก่อนเกี่ยวกับตัวเรา ความนึกคิดของเราที่เราก็ไม่เคยรู้มาก่อนด้วยซำ้ไป ว่าเรานี่ร้ายกาจอ่ะ

พอเราเดินทางมาถึงที่ศูนย์ ก็เริ่มด้วยการลงทะเบียน อย่าลืมปริ้นท์แบบฟอร์มลงทะเบียนจากเว็บไซด์มาด้วยนะคะ ขั้นตอนนี้ก็จะมีการให้ทุกคนรวมรวมของมีค่าทั้งหลาย กระเป๋าสตางค์ โทรศัพท์ เครื่องมือสื่อสารทุกอย่าง รวมถึงพวกเครื่องเขียน สมุดจด แล้วก็เครื่องรางของขลังต่างๆและที่สำคัญกุญแจรถถ้าขับรถไปเอง เก็บไว้ในล็อกเกอร์ของใครของมัน อันนี้ก็เป็นทางในการละตัวตน ลดสิ่งเร้าภายนอกต่างๆที่จะมารบกวนการปฏิบัติ หรือทำให้ต้องมานั่งกังวลของสิ่งของด้วยเช่นกัน ดังนั้นแนะนำเลยว่าตอนไป อย่าพกอะไรพวกนี้ที่ไม่จำเป็นไปจะเป็นการดีที่สุดค่ะ

ตารางปฏิบัติประจำวัน.

การปฏิบัติก็จะเริ่มตั้งแต่ ตีสี่ แล้วสิ้นสุดลงเวลาประมาณสามทุ่มครึ่ง เวลาส่วนใหญ่จะใช้ไปในการนั่งสมาธิ แต่ไม่ต้องตกใจไปค่ะ คือลองคิดดูว่า ตัวคนเขียนเองไม่เคยนั่งสมาธิได้เกิน 10นาทีก่อนที่จะมาฝึกในแนวทางนี้ แล้วตอนนี้คือสามารถนั่งนิ่งๆชิลๆได้เกิน1ชั่วโมงโดยไม่ต้องเปลี่ยนท่าอีกต่างหาก ถ้าเราทำได้ ทุกคนก็ต้องทำด้ายย

สถานที่และสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก

ห้องนอนและสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกต่างๆ ก็จะมีให้เท่าที่จำเป็นในชีวิตประจำวัน อย่าคาดหวังความสะดวกสะบายหรูหรา เพราะนี่คือการฝึกตัวเองให้ละตัวตนและเลิกลดในสิ่งที่ไม่ได้จำเป็นในชีวิต เพื่อที่จะขัดเกลาจิต และเรียนรู้ความจริงของชีวิต และการอยู่กับตัวเองให้ได้ เพราะสุดท้ายเราก็ต้องไปจากโลกนี้คนเดียว โดยที่เอาอะไรไปด้วยไม่ได้แม้แต่ร่างกายเราเอง

ห้องนอน

ห้องน้ำและห้องอาบน้ำ

เราจะไม่เล่าอะไรมากเรื่องวิธีการปฏิบัติ เพราะจะเป็นการดีที่สุดที่จะไม่รู้อะไรไปเลย เพราะมันเป็นประสบการร์เฉพาะตน แต่บอกได้อย่างเดียวคือไปเถอะ มันคุ้มกับเวลา10วันแน่ๆ แต่3-4วันแรกมันจะเป็นอะไรที่ยากลำบากในการทดสอบจิตใจเรา ทุกครั้งที่ไปเราก็หลับ หรือสัปะหงกตลอดนะช่วง3 วันแรก แต่ถ้าผ่านไปได้ก็สบายแล้ว ลองนึกถึงการจับเอาลิงป่าซักตัวไปไว้ในกรงเป็นครั้งแรก ก็เหมือนกับปฏิกิริยาของจิตที่อยู่ดีๆก็เอาสิ่งเร้าทุกอย่างออกไป ก็เหมือนกันอย่างไรอย่างนั้นเลย

แล้วที่แปลกคือทุกปีที่ไป ก็มักจะได้เรียนรู้อะไรใหม่ๆทุกครั้ง ถึงแม้การปฏิบัติและเทปคำสอนคือคือเหมือนเดิมทุกครั้ง สิ่งที่ได้ไปมันเป็นอะไรที่คุ้มค่ามากๆ มันทำให้เราผ่านช่วงเวลายากๆในชีวิตมาได้แบบไม่บาดเจ็บทางใจทั้งโดนlay off ทั้งอกหัก หรือเมื่อเจอกับความสูญเสีย มันทำให้มีสติกับทุกสิ่งที่เข้ามาในชีวิต ไม่ว่าจะดีจะร้าย ดังนั้นก็หวังว่ามันจะช่วยใครก็ตามที่ได้มีโอกาสไปปฏิบัติเช่นกัน

In the height of technology and stressful environment, some people trying to divert their attention from misery life to something else like movies, shopping, savouring nice food or the seeking their way out or happiness in social media. Well..my friends, for me my happiness is nor found from Michelin star restaurant nor the brand new designer handbags nor a super good high paid career. The real happiness is within oneself. If you never have enough or feel enough, we will keep on searching for happiness forever and ever but it's not sustainable. I learnt that the hard way 10 years ago.

I had a dream job being a flight attendant, travelling to all the dream destination sometimes in First or Business class. I had almost everything a 30 yrs old woman wants, a car, a nice house and a loving family. But..still, I was not happy or content with my life. Often I kept wondering what else was missing and being bitchy with everyone around me (my family). Oh, a boyfriend then I met someone but again my expectation was too high to sustain the relationship. One day my mom mentioned this female executive with a bad temper who went to the meditation centre and she is now getting better on a tv show and I might be interested ( good job mom!)

From then on, I've been a repeater guest of these meditation centres for 10 years now. It has become my yearly retreat and technology detox. Last year I posted a little bit of information on my Instagram account but decided to write in more details for anyone interested. This blog will give you some more ideas about how to prepare and what to expect.

Step 1: This method is for you if...

First step first, why I chose this teaching method. To be honest, I was not a strong believer or a good Buddhist. I was totally against all these heaven and hell things or the more merit you done you grant your place in heaven after you are dead. And most of all I am against all the ritual and chanting. When I looked at the daily schedule on their website for the first time, I decided that I'd give it a go even though the schedule is quite intimidating for a person who couldn't sit still for more than 10 minutes.

This teaching method has passed on from the Buddha himself through generations then our teacher S.N. Goenka started to teach this vipassana and expand all over the world. The Vipassana meditation is good for you if you want to declutter your mind, take a break from technology, emails and all kinds of communications and by-product you will get to know yourself a little bit better. This is purely because you really get to be with yourself without any distraction and other entertainment. You will have to deal with all your thoughts that coming through in every second when you close your eyes and try to focus on your breath.

To enrol, there are around 9 centres in Thailand and 341 centres in 94 countries around the world. You can check the course schedule in http://thaidhamma.net. There are different durations of course from 10, 20, 30 to 45 days but all new students will have to start with 10 days course first. I've only been to a few locations: Prachinburi, Phitsanuloke and Bangkok due to the weather and distant from Bangkok and there are individual rooms completed with shower and toilet inside.

These courses are free of charge however funded from old students donations as our teacher intended it to be this way(you will find out why during the course). So at the end of Day 10, you can donate whatever amount you want to help sustain these courses for future students.

To travel to each centre, once you enrol on the website, you will receive a confirmation email which will inform you about the transportation options. I usually use the bus that the centre provides because it's convenient and guarantee that you won't chicken out and drive your car back home amid the course. Believe me, there are also people who cannot go through these 10 days.

Talking about the room and facilities, as you will have to practice 5 or 8 precepts over the 10 days.

The five moral precepts(For new students)

1. To refrain from taking life, ie killing any living creature.
2. To refrain from taking what is not freely given, ie theft.
3. To refrain from misuse of the senses or sexual misconduct, ie overindulgence in sex or
committing sexual offences.
4. To refrain from wrong speech, ie lying or gossiping.
5. To refrain from intoxicants that cloud the mind, ie drugs or alcohol

The eight moral precepts

I undertake [to observe] the rule of abstinence from taking life
I undertake [to observe] the rule of abstinence from taking what is not given
I undertake [to observe] the rule of abstinence from unchastity
I undertake [to observe] the rule of abstinence from false speech
I undertake [to observe] the rule of abstinence from intoxicants which cause a careless frame of mind
I undertake [to observe] the rule of abstinence from taking food at the wrong time
I undertake [to observe] the rule of abstinence from dancing, music, visiting shows, flowers, make-up, the wearing of ornaments and decorations
I undertake [to observe] the rule of abstinence from a tall, high sleeping place

So you can imagine if you observe 8 precepts that means you would have to skip dinner for 10 days. This is one of the things I like as my body detox, no dinner and eating vegetarian for 10 days! How good is that!!

Step 2: What and how to prepare

Once you receive the confirmation, that means you will have to take leave for at least 8 days. Altogether you'll need 12 days: 1 day for travel to the centre and register, 10 full days course and 1 day to travel back home. I usually pick the duration that covers 2 weekends so you don't have to use many AL.

Now Packing!!

What you'll need for these 10 days? Well..even though this course is FOC (Free of Charge) but you'll have to prepare well.

1. Clothes in polite colours (meaning not too bright like neon colours, you are there to purify your mind and don't need a distraction so vice versa..) No sleeveless, no shorts, not revealing or transparent and not too tight. I would recommend something comfortable and easy to sit on the floor but no leggings please. You can either bring 10 sets or there is a laundry service at the centre as well. I usually pay 5 BHT per piece.

2. Sufficient amount of underwears.

3. Toiletries: things you need for your hygienic without a strong smell (please read precept no. 7) This include all necessary items such as tissue paper, washing liquid in case you want to wash your underwear, sanitary napkins, refillable water bottle and etc. In case you urgently need something during the course, you can also ask "Dhamma Server" as well.

4. Extra something: to bring a shawl is always a good idea, you can use it to cover your lap or prevent you from cold air condition in the meditation hall. Water flask is also good to bring, there are drinking water cooler provided and I think you wouldn't want to reuse that PET plastic bottle again and again in 10 days right! Ah..and maybe a room slippers.

What to expect?

The most important thing to know that you will have to observe Noble Silence for the whole 10 days. So...no talking, no communication (except when you need help from "Course Manager" and "Dhamma Server" these are people who help accommodate you in these 10 days time or when you have interview time with the "Assitant Teachers" when time permit) Also no eye contact with the other students.

Why? This way you will be totally with yourself and your own thought then you will learn many things about yourself which you've never realized before. Trust me.

Once you arrive at the centre and register, you will be asked to put all your valuable belongings such as jewellery, wallets, mobile phone including reading/writing material in the locker. This is a process of letting go and reduce distractions during your time there. Plus you don't have to worry about your money or valuables when you are away from your room. I usually bring minimal to the meditation centre.

Here is the daily schedule.

Your day will start at 4am and finish at around 9.30pm. Most of the time will be meditation but don't be alarmed. It's not that scary though, just imagine me who couldn't sit still for more than 10 mins and now I can meditate 1-2 hours without changing position. So if I can do it, you can do it too!

Facilities

You will have the basics which you need in daily life. Don't expect luxury, this is a path to purify your mind and learn the truth of life and how to be with yourself.

I won't say much about the meditation method as it's better for you to experience it yourself. What I can say is it'd really worth your time there. The first 3-4 days would be really difficult but once you get past that you'll be totally fine. Think about your untrained mind like wild animals that always have distractions and suddenly have to be still in a confide space for the first time.

I've learnt a lot every time I went there and learning still. It helped me get through many difficult times in my life smoothly. I hope it would help you too.

Welcome back again to my blog. I just came back from my honeymoon trip plus another wedding in Germany with my husband's family. I decided that I should share my tips and trick of "How to pack like a pro" (I was a cabin crew for 10 years). This blog will take you to step by step of my packing routine in case you can adapt to your packing strategy. Ps. I'm not a light traveller but a well dress traveller. So here we go!

First thing first: Destination!

After determining my destination Let's say Paris, I would start checking a couple things:

1. Weather forecast: To have some idea how hot/cold it would be by the time you are there. You can also check the weather trend each month in that country.

2. What the locals wear: I usually check on Instagram by location and Pinterest searching for example, what to pack for autumn in Paris. To get some ideas about the colour tone and not to be too touristic. One of the reasons is for safety reasons, I usually try to blend in as much as possible and not to catch much attention as you might hear a lot of cases about pickpocket in tourist spots which always preyed on Asian tourists.

3. Where to eat/drink in that city? Which places are good spots to see? I normally search on Instagram/Pinterest and saved it in a list before the trip.

Now it's time for packing! I would differentiate my packing theme into 2 seasons; Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. Personally, I prefer to travel during Spring/Summertime because of lighter weight and more fun to mix and match. And for each season, I would also prepare for the buffer pieces in case of a sudden weather change such as a jacket for summer in case of temperature drop during the night time or light cashmere sweater to layer with a shirt in case it's getting warmer during Autumn daylight.
Step 1: I would start to plan my trip into days and schedules of each day on my mobile phone note. This for me to have a rough idea of the occasions of how many formal/informal looks I need. But I usually pack one dress/formal look plus high heels just in case for fancy dinner/drink comes up during the trip anyway.

Step 2: I would breakdown into each category for example.

Underwear: I would calculate in ratio like this
1. Bras in nude, white and black with days of the trip divided by 2 for example 10 days trip divided by 2 (10/2=5)
2. Panties: 1 for each day of the trip plus lingerie washing liquid just in case

Tops: Depends on the season
1. For summer, it is very easy as all of my tops are light and don't take much space.
2. For winter, I would pack more pieces of layers, Heattech and fewer pieces of chunky knitwear.

Bottoms: Depends on the season but basic pieces like good denim in dark wash, white or black are good for your basic wardrobe-essentials.

Outerwear: This depends on summer or wintertime.
1. For summer, I would bring a nice houndstooth or le smoking jacket just in case to wear with a pair of jeans when it's getting a bit chilly. A denim jacket or biker jacket are also good options for styling your looks as well.
2. For winter with 2 digits celsius, a black warm coat or camel colour are good options depends on how cold it is. This trip, I brought my aviator jacket which gives a masculine look and warm enough for 8 - 12 celsius.
3. For one digit celsius, I would go for a down jacket for extra warmth and comfort

Shoes:
1. Comfortable shoes for airport/walking which are easy to remove and put back on when you have to go through a security check such as ballerinas or sneakers.
2. A little more dress-up shoes: summertime could be a pair of espadrilles, wintertime could be a pair of boots.
3. Formal shoes for special occasions: stilettos of pretty sandals ( you can wear them with stylish socks in cold weather)

Light colour boots such as white or nude colour are very much in the trend now. Mine are from Prada

Handbags:
1. For the flight, it should be lightweight, organized and practical. Prada Nylon is my favourite option for my airport bag.
2. For day use, something safe enough to walk around. For summertime, I prefer to use a vintage clutch or something small which I can keep it close to me. For wintertime, it should be safe enough and can be used as a crossbody bag.
3. Small evening bag for fancy dinner.

Accessories: These are my favourite! I usually use accessories to complete or create different looks from the same clothes.
1. Sunglasses minimum of 2 pairs for different looks.
2. Earrings, I love earrings! I would prepare both subtle and statement earrings depends on the looks I planned.
3. Necklaces and bracelet: I usually wear them already as something that is my signature pieces.
4. Rings: As well as necklaces, I wear them on a daily basis and always find something new in each destination as my souvenir.
5. Headband or scarves: I would normally combine scarves as a headband. Silk scarves are always a good item to have in your wardrobe as a versatile piece that you can use as a headband, scarf, belt, handbag accessories or even your bandeau for beach looks.
6. Hats: One of the items I love to wear.

Usually from this list, I would eliminate the non-necessary out in case I see that it's a little bit too full. Every piece you pick should be able to mix and match at least 2 looks so you wouldn't excess your luggage allowance.

Then I would list out my toiletries and utility items. Nowadays, I have a separate toiletries bag with travel size bottles ready and just need to re-fill before the trip. Here is the example of my list.

Then I would cross out the items that I already put in my suitcase for a final checklist before my travelling date.

OK!! เริ่มกันได้...

อย่างแรก และสำคัญที่สุดเลย คือ เมืองที่เราจะไปค่ะ
พอตัดสินใจแล้วว่าจะเดินทางไปไหน เมืองอะไรบ้าง ก็จะเริ่มการเช็คสองสามอย่าง ดังนี้

1. พยากรณ์อากาศ อันนี้สำคัญม้ากกก ปกติจะเช็คดูว่าช่วงเวลาเดือนนั้นๆ อากาศจะเป็นอย่างไรในประเทศที่เราจะไป เพราะเราคงไม่อยากเป็นตัวประหลาด หรือไม่สบายตอนเที่ยว ถูกมั้ยคะ

กระเป๋าที่เราใช้ก่อนหน้านี้เป็น Samsonite รุ่นน้องเต่ามีสายจูง มันเป็นรุ่นฮิตที่สายการบินใช้กันเกือบทุกคน เราเปลี่ยนมาใช้อีกรุ่นตอนเลิกบินแต่มันค่อนข้างหนัก เมื่อปีก่อนเลยตัดสินใจซื้อRimowa รุ่นที่เป็นทรงtrunk ยาว แบบpolycarbonate ขอบอกว่าเวิร์คมากกกก ยิ่งชอบเอาชุดเดรสไปใส่นี่ดีเลยค่ะ การเลือกกระเป๋าเดินทางก็ ควรดูสองสามอย่าง คือ งบประมาณ, ความทนทาน และ น้ำหนักก่อนใส่ของค่ะ

โดยปกติเราจะแยกวิธีการจัดกระเป๋าเป็นสองธีม ตามฤดูกาล ฤดูใบไม้ผลิ/ฤดูร้อน กับฤดูใบไม้ร่วง/ฤดูหนาว ถ้าเลือกได้เราชอบเดินทางช่วงฤดูใบไม้ผลิ/ฤดูร้อนที่สุดนะ เพราะเสื้อผ้าน้ำหนักเบา แล้วเอาของไปได้หลายชิ้นกว่า แล้วสำหรับแต่ละฤดูเราก็ควรเตรียมชิ้นสำรองเผื่อเวลาอากาศมันเปลี่ยนตอนเช้าหรือกลางคืนไว้ซักชิ้นสองชิ้นด้วย อย่างcardigan/blazer/biker jacket สำหรับหน้าร้อน หรือ cashmere sweater ที่ยังใส่ได้เวลาอากาศอุ่นขึ้นอะไรงี้

Step 1: เราจะใส่ทริปแพลนในapplication note แยกเป็นวันที่ และตารางกิจกรรม เราจะได้รู้คร่าวๆว่าต้องเตรียมเสื้อผ้าประมาณไหนบ้าง ทางการ/ไม่ทางการ อย่างสาวโสดเผื่อไปเจอหนุ่มขอเดทอย่างงี้เป็นต้น โดยปกติเราจะเผื่อลุคสวยพร้อมรองเท้าไปซักหนึ่งลุคเผื่อๆ

Step 2: แบ่งว่าในเสื้อผ้าแต่ละประเภทมีอะไรบ้าง ตามการใช้งานนะคะ เช่น

ชุดชั้นใน: คำนวณตามวันเดินทางดังนี้
1. บรา ควรมีสีนู้ด สีขาว และสีดำ ตามจำนวนวันของทริปหารสอง เช่น 10/2=5
2. กางเกงใน ตามจำนวณวันเดินทางเลยค่ะ อาจเผื่อซักตัวสองตัว และควรพกน้ำยาซักชุดชั้นในไปด้วย

ท่อนบน: อันนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับฤดูที่ไปค่ะ
1. ฤดูร้อนนี่สบ้าย เอาไปได้หลายตัวเพราะชิ้นเล็กๆเบาๆ
2. ฤดูหนาว ก็จะเน้นพวกชิ้นใส่ข้างในเยอะกว่า พวก Heattech, เสื้อเชิ้ต เสื้อยืด เพราะต้องเปลี่ยนบ่อยกว่า พวกknitwearชิ้นหนาๆก็เอาไปซักประมาณ 1:2 ของพวกชิ้นข้างในค่ะ

5. ที่คาดผม หรือ ผ้าพันคอ โดยปกติเราปรับใช้ผ้าพันคอไปเป็นหลายๆอย่างเลย ผ้าพันคอผ้าไหมสวยๆนี่แนะนำว่าควรมีติดตู้ไว้ เพราะมันสามารถปรับใช้เป็นผ้าโพกผม เข็มขัด ที่ประดับกระเป๋า หรือผ้าคาดอกเวลาไปทะเล หรือช่วงหน้าร้อนได้ด้วย อีกชิ้นที่เรามักมีติดกระเป๋าเดินทางคือผ้าคลุมไหล่cashmereเพราะมันมีประโยชน์มาก สามารถใช้ห่มบนเครื่องบิน เป็นผ้าพันคอตอนหนาวๆได้ด้วย
6. หมวก ก็เป็นอะไรที่เราชอบใส่ ทั้งเวลาอยู่เมืองไทย และเดินทาง

หลังจากลิสท์รายการพวกนี้ออกมาแล้ว เราก็มักจะมานั่งตัดออกอีกสักชิ้นสองชิ้นที่มองว่าไม่จำเป็นอีกนะ ถ้ารู้สึกว่ามันจะใส่ไม่หมดเอา หรือน้ำหนักกระเป๋าจะเกินได้

รายการสุดท้าย ที่ต้องมาดูคือเครื่องสำอางค์และผลิตภัณฑ์ต่างๆที่ใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน เราจะมีtoiletries bag แยกไว้พร้อมขวดแบ่งsizeเดินทางไว้เลย พอจะเดินทางเราก็แค่มาเติม ส่วนที่เช็ดเครื่องสำอางค์นี่ตอนนี้หันมาใช้พวกแผ่นเช็ดเครื่องสำอางค์แทน เพราะสะดวกไม่ต้องพกสำลีเกะกะด้วย

พอถึงขั้นตอนสุดท้ายคือpackลงกระเป๋า เราก็จะใส่เครื่องหมายถูกหลังรายการที่จัดแล้ว จะได้ไม่ลืมว่าเหลืออะไรบ้างที่ยังไม่ได้ใส่ในกระเป๋า เท่านี้ก็พร้อมยิ่งกว่าพร้อมที่จะสนุกกับการท่องเที่ยวแบบไม่ต้องห่วงหน้าพะวงหลังแล้วค่ะ

How I Became a Wedding Planner Part 3 - Wedding Lunch Reception

Here comes the last part of our wedding! The lunch reception.

I have to tell you that this is actually my dream wedding when I'm a grown-up woman. When I was young, I had a dream to have a beach wedding. But when I reached 35, my dream wedding(if I ever had one) would be a lunch celebration with a small group of friends in a cosy restaurant with a band playing our favourite indie songs.

Luckily that I met my husband who shares the same thinking about the wedding and he gave me the freedom and support to put all these ideas together. Also with the help from so many friends and family members to make it happened beautifully.

Firstly the location was easily agreed on that we will do it at The Cabochon Hotel. A cosy colonial-style boutique hotel which is our most favourite hotel for drinks and North-Eastern aka. Isaan food(best beef brisket everrr). With the support and assistant from the stylish owner, GM whom we became friends along the way and the whole team, it made the whole event went so easy and smoothly. The place is a dream and just perfect for our intimate wedding party. The only downside of the place is the limitation of capacity and parking spaces. So if you are considering this hotel, you can only have around 40 guests maximum and transportation for the guest.

Then I started to collect all the decoration ideas on Pinterest. It is definitely the best ideas bank for wedding and etc. From the wedding favour, stationary, welcome poster to flower centrepiece, you named it! After we discussed and agreed with the direction and colour scheme we like, now it's time to execute!

OK. The reason I could do all this myself without an organiser because I'm taking a career break and one of the things I learnt from my career in retail is event planning and organising. So check list excel file is a must have!! I have my check list for all 3 days event to make sure that I didn't miss anything or minimise the hiccup as much as possible. It consisted of the items, supplier, status, event schedule including a budget control sheet. So when anyone asked if I was excited about the wedding, I simply replied that it was more like anxiety before a retail event.

After we drafted out our plan, we started to search for the suppliers such as a florist, a band who can play our song list (we saved all the songs we like in Spotify), invitation card and etc.

I've known Gib from 6188 Flowerbar for a long time, we connected through instagram but never really worked together. When I saw that she started her flower project, I know right away that her style would be perfect for our flower decoration. And she really did great as we aimed for white/green in natural free form. Everything came out perfectly together with our visions.

Well...we have a very particular taste in music so it was quite difficult to find a band we'd like to use. Luckily I could find the right band who can play most of the songs from our play list with help from @MOOB. So we just threw our requirements at him and he would suggest the band that matches ours.

Wedding Favours
We used "Mint To Be" which we found from Pinterest, unfortunately, I couldn't find any suppliers in Thailand who produce this kind of things. So I tried to research for all possibilities and ended up ordering things separately. The tin boxes from Shopee app which was super painful for me as the quantity they delivered were always wrong and we ended up had to order 3 times with many follow up with the shop. Mint To Be stickers were ordered from Etsy for both of our wedding in Bangkok and Germany. The last but not least "The Mints", we had to taste and research for the mints that we like and ended up with Wrigley's Doublemint. Yes, we counted and did the packaging ourselves.

We used Manita Wedding for all printing material with inspirations from Pinterest again. So we got all the welcome poster, invitation cards and seat plan in the same graphic design. We were really happy with the results when they combined with beautiful flower decoration on the day.

My husband wore a jacket from Ralph Lauren, blue Emmanuel Berg shirt, off-white pants from Echizenya at The Decorum Bangkok, polka dot tie from Drake's and a pair of brown tassle loafer from Crockett & Jones.

My Dress and Shoes

I found my dress from one of the vintage shops in Etsy that I'd ordered. I knew from the first moment I saw it that this is me. Old Hollywood glam - checked, cut out details - checked and most importantly sexy back - checked! For my shoes, I was considering my existing shoe stocks and changed my mind to go for these nude colour strappy stilettos from Alexandre Birman instead.

I've got their contacts through my dear friend and I was very happy with the results. We aimed for natural old Hollywood glam which combined perfectly with my headpiece. Talking about the headpiece, I've had this reference from Pinterest which didn't quite workout with my first attempt. I had to find a few alternatives with fresh flowers or crystal headband. Then in only 2 weeks time before the wedding with help from my aunt in law, I finally had this custom made from Japanese clay work and it looks really close to the reference. Since the headpiece is going to be the key piece, I kept my jewellery low key with a pair of crystal Miu Miu earrings.

My husband found Tin by chance when he searched for wedding photographers. We both agreed that his style really suits what we like, candid and not too posey. It was a good decision to have him taking our photos as it came out exactly what we expected.

A special shuttle Tuk Tuk

As I mentioned that there is very limited parking at the hotel so the guests had to park at nearby community mall. We decided to organised 2 Tuk Tuk to shuttle our guests back and forth. And to have a nice gimmick to it, we asked another printing supplier to do the vinyl boards to attached to these Tuk Tuk.

The event format: Drink reception followed by Sit down lunch

Due to the limited space of 40 seats, we had to be very precise and get confirmation from our guest at least 2 weeks before. This also because we had to have our "Seat Plan" board produced on time too. For Thais, we don't really have this kind of format for a wedding so it was quite a challenge for us. However, we had our seat plan settled and went smoothly.

We were really happy with the event and things went very well without any hiccup on the day. Our main goal for this lunch is to celebrate and share our happiness with our love ones. It was very intimate, memorable and joyful for us. So all of the guests are friends and colleagues whom we feel really close to and really know us. We were also overjoyed to hear that they enjoyed the time and like all the small details we put in.

Finally, this is the end of my wedding series. To us, the wedding is only the beginning of a long journey and there will be good times - bad times and things we would have to learn to make the marriage works. How I Became a Wedding Planner Part 2 - Thai Ceremony and Merit Making

Welcome back to Part 2 of my wedding plan!

After we were quite settled with how we want our wedding to be, the first and most important thing was the date. For a Thai person, I'm not so much on the superstitious side. So neither my parents nor I am serious about the auspicious date or time. For most people, the date and time are very important to start something new and they will have to consult with their respectable monks or fortuneteller. They will then calculate the auspicious date/time according to the bride and groom's birth date. What I did was, I just searched for auspicious dates in August from 2019 auspicious calendar (calculate from the time line we should finish with all the marriage document) and found 2 days during one of the weekends. So that's how the dates were picked.

Location: We picked my house so my father will be able to be a part of the ceremony. People who know me personally would know that my dad has been a bedridden patient for 4 years after a car accident. Hence it is impossible for him to go to a wedding outside.

How we want it: We agreed that we want it to be intimate, simple and meaningful. There were only our close family members and a few closed friends attended as it was very early. We decided (I suggested to him)that we don't have to do the whole nine yard with all the Khan Maak procession or water blessing. We went with a Buddhist blessing ceremony and wrist tie ceremony to save the time and the groom from sitting on the floor for too long (to sit on the floor can be quite painful for the foreigner who is not used to do that).

How we did:

In order to save time and all the hassle, I used an organizer "Boonumpar" which I'm very happy with the result and the price we paid. It saved all the hassles to go booking schedule with the monks at the temple, set up the location, renting furniture and all equipment for the ceremony, transportation for monks, catering, all the merit-making flowers/offerings, and MC to guide us along the way.

We chose the package with catering for 30 people (9 monks+20 guests). The organizer will first come for the location survey and discuss our requirements. The 2nd time is one day before the ceremony, they will come for the setup. Then early in the morning of the merit making date for preparation.

I felt that it was worth our money as we don't have to worried about anything from preparation to clearing up after the ceremony finished.

Wrist Tie Ceremony
This ceremony is actually a tradition from the northern part of Thailand. I decided to make it simple and short to combine this with paying respect to the elders.

The presents we used for the elders are a ground squirrel climbing on a tree branch made from flowers and 2 different gifts for males and females.

The flowers resembled an Indochinese ground squirrel climbing on an orange jasmine branch. There is actually a meaning that these animals are very faithful to their mate and have a live long relationship. I ordered them in advance from my flower garland teacher who works in the royal palace court.

What I wore

I decided to wear Thai traditional costume but not too fancy as it would only be used once. I found this place who custom made Thai silk sarong and bought their ready-made lace blouse, They are a really nice combination of colors and texture. Altogether these don't cost more than €200. I did my own hair and make up for the day and pretty happy with the result.

My purpose was to have a blissful beginning of our marriage to share and blessed by our love ones. I think we were able to accomplish that goal. There was only a little bit of stress with the pickup and ordering those flowers and gifts and to make sure that everything would arrive on time. Apart from that, I would say it was really easy and relaxing. The next blog will be our reception party.

Wedding Planner - Part 1 Marriage Registration in Thailand - จดทะเบียนสมรสกับผู้ชายเยอรมัน

As I mentioned before about my wedding planning, I guess it's about time to share with you about the details and how I plan and execute my wedding party.

Once we decided to get married, it was pretty clear that we are on the same page in terms of the location, the format and how we like it to be. So let's start on the basic thing.

It's official!

OK... the most important and challenging thing for us would be how to get documents for our wedding registration in Bangkok. It is super easy for Thai with Thai to be married with just id cards. But for Thai and non-Thai, it comes with a lot of complication. There are many agency who can help you doing these process but we wanted to do it ourselves. So if you are considering to get married to a foreigner, this blog would be helpful for you.

We started to research for information since February-March to have more idea about what kind of documents we would need which are a lot! My case would be Thai with German which probably varies in other nationalities.

For a Thai person to be legally married to a German, you will need these following documents:

Birth certificate: This has to be the original copy so please check with your parents beforehand. I thought my one which my mom gave to me long time ago was the original but apparently not! So I had to go back and forth between two district offices because the original copy is in the district of my birth hospital but then my parents changed my name at the actual district we used to live. So parents, please keep your child's birth certificate where you can find it in the next 40 years time.
Proof of marital status that you are single from your residential district office and also Thai Central Registration Department.
Passport
House registration

Then these documents have to be translated into German by a translator that has German Embassy authorisation then legalised by German Embassy. Then sent all these document to Germany to request for my fiance's document to process back in Thailand again in order to register our marriage in Bangkok with one of the district office. Long story short it took us a couple months to process all these and each nationality have different process and requirements. ระหว่างทางก็มีเดทบ้างประปราย ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่ก็เป็นต่างชาติ เพราะรู้ตัวว่าทั้งลุค ทั้งตัวตนเราชายไทยคงรับไม่ไหว แล้วที่สำคัญขนาดต่างชาติยังมีประเด็นกับความแต่งตัวจัดด้วยซ้ำ ทุกครั้งที่เลิกคบกับแต่ละคนเราก็มองว่ามันเป็นบทเรียนที่ทำให้เราโตขึ้น เรียนรู้คนและโลกมากขึ้น บทเรียนอย่างนึงคือความสัมพันธ์มันต้องเกิดจากความพยายามของคนสองคน ถ้าเมื่อไหร่ที่คนนึงต้องพยายามอย่างหนักจนรู้สึกว่ามันเหนื่อยเหลือเกิน นั่นหมายความว่ามันไม่ใช่แล้วค่ะคุณ

เราเจอทั้งคนที่โปรไฟล์ดีมาก เป็นถึงผู้กำกับมีชื่อเสียงระดับBox Office ดูอ่อนโยนจิตใจดี สุดท้ายเป็นเสือผู้หญิงตัวพ่อ โดยที่บอกให้เรารับรู้นะว่ามีผู้หญิงคนอื่นอีก แต่อยากให้เรารับได้และคบกันต่อ สุดท้ายเราก็ต้องเลือกที่จะเดินออกมาเพื่อสุขภาพจิตของตัวเอง หรืออีกคนก็เป็นคนมีชื่อเสียงที่ประเทศเค้า คุยกันมาตั้งแต่เริ่มบิน จนสุดท้ายต้องตัดสินใจตัดการติดต่อทุกทาง เพราะเจอว่าระหว่างทางเค้าก็เริ่มจริงจังกับคนที่ประเทศเดียวกัน แล้วก็ดีใจมากทีตัดสินใจเลิกคุย เพราะหลังจากนั้นแฟนนางก็ตั้งท้องเลยค๊า

เข้าเรื่องดีกว่าบ่นมาเยอะ 555 เราเจอสามีเมื่อตอนอายุ39 เป็นวัยที่ล้มเลิกความคิดที่จะแต่งงานไปแล้ว ที่บ้านก็บอกว่าเป็นโสดแหละ สบายดี แล้วอยู่ดีๆก็เจออีตาคนนี้นี่แหล่ะ เค้าเป็นคนเยอรมัน ทำงานในเมืองไทยมาสองปีแล้ว กำลังจะย้ายกลับเยอรมัน เลยลงมากรุงเทพ เป็นทริปถ่ายรูปสุดสัปดาห์สุดท้าย เรานัดกินข้าวกลางวันกันระหว่างพักเบรค45นาที แล้วต้องวิ่งกลับไปทำงานต่อ โดยที่คิดแค่ว่า เจอเพื่อนใหม่ คงไม่มีอะไรหลังจากนี้ จนเค้าบินกลับไปบ้าน จนตัดสินใจบินกลับมาหางานที่กรุงเทพ เพื่อจะได้ศึกษานิสัยใจคอกันจริงๆ ทุกอย่างมันเป็นไปแบบธรรมชาติมาก ต้องบอกว่าปรับตัวอยู่สักพักเลย กับการต้องมีอีกคนในชีวิตที่ต้องนึกถึง จากที่ไม่เคยต้องรายงานตัวกับใคร ซึ่งในระยะสองปีที่คบกัน มันก็มีที่ถกเถียง หาจุดลงตัวกัน เพราะโตกันมากๆแล้วทั้งคู่ มีตัวตนสูงกันทั้งคู่ แต่มันก็ทำให้เราเรียนรู้ที่จะเลิกเอาชนะคะคานกัน มีอะไรก็ต้องพูดกันตรงๆ สุดท้ายอย่างที่เคยเล่าไปในblog Florenceน่ะแหล่ะ ว่าเค้าก็ขอแต่งงานหลังจากคบกันได้ปีกว่า เค้าเป็นผู้ชายสายแฟ ที่ไม่ได้ทำงานในวงการแฟชั่น แต่เค้ารับในตัวตนเราได้ ในความเยอะของการแต่งตัว อาจมีวิจารณ์บ้าง ถ้าเยอะมาก มีการใช้ชีวิตที่ไปในทางเดียวกัน เราไม่จำเป็นต้องชอบอะไรเหมือนกันหมด แต่มันต้องมีจุดลงตัวที่ไปด้วยกันได้ โดยรวมเค้าให้อิสระ และความเข้าใจในตัวเรามากๆ เป็นที่ปรึกษาที่ดีและให้มุมมองใหม่ๆทั้งชีวิตและเรื่องงาน ถึงแม้จะกลายร่างเป็นลุงขี้บ่นบ้างในบางครั้ง แต่เค้าทำให้เรารู้จักความรักจริงๆ ทั้งที่เมื่อก่อนเราไม่เคยเชื่อในความรัก แล้วก็ไม่เคยคิดว่าเราจะรักใครได้โดยไม่มีเงื่อนไข

ทีนี้นอกจากการจัดงานรื่นเริงแล้ว มันก็มีส่วนสำคัญคือส่วนกฏหมาย คือการจดทะเบียนสมรส ซึ่งเป็นส่วนที่ยุ่งยากมาก (ในความคิดเรา) เราสองคนศึกษากันพอสมควรว่าสามารถจดได้ทั้งที่กรุงเทพและที่เยอรมัน แต่ด้วยเงื่อนเวลา กรุงเทพดูจะเป็นตัวเลือกที่ดีที่สุด หลังจากนั้นก็เป็นช่วงเตรียมเอกสาร ซึ่งใช้เวลาและพลังงานพอสมควร หรือสามารถใช้agencyเดินเรื่องได้เหมือนกัน ถ้าไม่มีเวลา

1. สูติบัตร คุณพ่อคุณแม่ทั้งหลายคะ กรุณาเก็บต้นฉบับไว้ให้ดีเลยค่ะ ถ้าในอนาคตลูกของคุณจะแต่งงานกับชาวต่างชาติ เน้นว่าต้นฉบับนะคะ เนื่องจากสูติบัตรที่แม่เราเก็บไว้จนเหลืองนั้น จริงๆแล้วเป็นสำเนาซึ่งพึ่งมารู้ทีหลัง และพ่อแม่เราทำการเปลี่ยนชื่อหลังแจ้งเกิด โดยไม่ได้มาแจ้งต้นทาง ดังนั้นเราเลยต้องวิ่งไปสองเขต ทั้งที่แจ้งเกิด และที่ย้ายเข้า/เปลี่ยนชื่อ
2. หนังสือรับรองสถานภาพสมรสจากเขตที่อาศัยอยู่ อันนี้ไปขอที่เขตง่ายอยู่ แต่ต้องนำพยานไปด้วยสองคน ที่รู้จักเราแน่ๆ เขตจะrunทะเบียนดูว่าเราเคยจดทะเบียนสมรสกับใครมาก่อนมั้ยในเขตนี้
3. ใบสำคัญแสดงสถานะโสดจากกรมทะเบียนกลาง อันนี้คือต้องเข้าไปที่กรมทะเบียนกลางของกระทรวงมหาดไทย แล้วยื่นคำร้องขอคัดทะเบียนว่าเราเคยจดทะเบียนสมรสกับใครมาก่อนรึเปล่าในประเทศไทย
4. Passport
5. สำเนาทะเบียนบ้าน

ทั้งหมดนี้จะต้องส่งไปให้บริษัทแปลที่ได้รับการรับรองจากสถานทูตเยอรมันแปลเท่านั้น ค่าใช้จ่ายในการแปลตกอยู่หน้าละประมาณ1,000บาท เราส่งสำนักแปลที่Goethe ใช้เวลาประมาณ 2-3วัน จากนั้นก็ต้องไปยื่นเอกสารทั้งหมดนี้พร้อมตัวจริงที่สถานทูตเยอรมันเพื่อทำการรับรองเอกสาร หรือ legalise ทั้งหมดนี้ประมาณ 5,600 เจ้าหน้าที่ที่ดูแลให้ความช่วยเหลือแนะนำดีมาก ถ้าเทียบกับประสบการณ์ในการติดต่อเรื่องอื่น พอเอกสารพร้อมเค้าก็จะแจ้งมาหรือโทรไปเช็คได้

จากนั้นก็จะเป็นส่วนของทางผู้ชายล่ะค่ะ เพราะทั้งหมดนี้เพื่อส่งประกอบให้เค้ายื่นขอหนังสือรับรองสถานภาพสมรสเช่นเดียวกันจากประเทศเยอรมัน เรียกว่า "Ehefähigkeitszeugnis" พอเราได้เอกสารตัวนี้กลับมา เราก็ต้องเอาไปส่งให้สถานทูตเยอรมันรับรองอีกรอบพร้อมกันกับเอกสารอีกสองตัวคือ
1. passport ของทั้งสองคน
2. แบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล เกี่ยวกับพวกรายได้ ที่ทำงานอะไรพวกนี้ สามารถโหลดแบบฟอร์มได้ที่website สถานทูต ตามlinkด้านบนนะคะ
3. Ehefähigkeitszeugnis จะต้องมีอายุไม่เกิน60วัน

สถานทูตจะออกเอกสารชื่อ "Konsularbescheinigung" คือใบอนุญาตให้จดทะเบียนสมรสได้ แต่ยังค่ะ คุณยังไปจดไม่ได้ คุณและผู้ชายจะต้องไปยื่นให้กรมการกงศุลรับรองก่อน เราแนะนำว่าถ้าอยู่ในเมือง ไปที่สถานีMRT คลองเตยเลย สะดวกดี คิวไม่ยาว สามารถจองคิวออนไลน์ได้ที่นี่เลยค่ะ https://e-legalization.mfa.go.th จ่ายค่ารับรองเอกสารไปอีก600บาท จากนั้น ก็ไปยื่นขอจดทะเบียนได้ค่ะ

อีกคำถามนึงที่เกิดขึ้นคือ จดที่เขตไหนดี หลายๆคนบอกว่า เขตบางรักสะดวกดี เข้าไปกดบัตรคิว ยื่นเอกสารก็จดได้เลย แต่คุณสามีอ่านรีวิวแล้วบอกไม่เอาอ่ะ มีคนบอกว่าไม่ดี เอ๊า ทีนี้เราเลยตัดสินใจเลือกเขตที่เราแจ้งเกิดไปทำเรื่องขอสูติบัตรนี่ล่ะวะ ดูสวยงาม ไม่อึมครึม แต่....มันไม่ง่ายเหมือนที่บางรักค๊า จากการติดต่อหน่วยงานราชการเยอะในช่วงนี้นั้นเราได้เรียนรู้ว่า โทรไปถามก่อนล่วงหน้า จะปลอดภัยและไม่เสียเที่ยวสุด สำหรับเขตที่เราไปจดนั้น จะต้องเอาเอกสารไปให้ฝ่ายทะเบียนตรวจสอบก่อน แล้วถึงจะจองเวลาในการจดทะเบียนได้ ก่อนวันจดเราจะได้รับเอกสาร3ฉบับมากรอกข้อมูลก่อน สำหรับ ฝ่ายชาย ฝ่ายหญิง และล่าม

Summer days in Edinburgh and Highland

After London, we decided to continue to Edinburgh, Scotland. We had no idea about the city, only a little research and asking friends of what to do which mostly recommended to go to the castle. So we took an Easy Jet flight early in the morning. The accommodation was already settled via Airbnb. So here we go!

Our Airbnb is on the Abercrombie street which is only a walking distance from the city centre. I have to say that this apartment was the most charming apartment I've stayed with Airbnb so far. Even though the owner is a man but he put together a nice combination between art and masculinity.

Here is what we did in 2 days.

Day 1: Explore the castle and Edinburgh's streets

We started the day early to head to Edinburgh castle by foot. Edinburgh castle is a historic fortress which is a prominent landmark of the city as it is located on the Castle Rock. According to Wikipedia, archaeologists have established human occupation of the rock since at least the Iron Age (2nd century AD), although the nature of the early settlement is unclear. There has been a royal castle on the rock since at least the reign of David I in the 12th century, and the site continued at times to be a royal residence until 1633.

The best place to see the castle view is from the Princess Street Garden. You can enjoy the beautiful bloom in the garden while locals are sunbathing on the lawn. Along the garden front are a shopping street with many street brands. So we just literally walked up the hill (recommend comfy shoes, it's a cobbled stone street and mostly up hills walk in the city) The castle pass cost £17.50 which included a tour audio. The highlight would be the Crown Jewels and the stone of Destiny. Luckily, I watched Mary Queen of Scotland on the flight to London so I had some idea about the history in this castle.

After the castle tour, we walked down toward the Old Town which was already packed with tourists at 11am. ( Edinburgh defined their old city area as Old Town and more office building/commercial area as New Town) We couldn't believe how crowded this city would be with tourist buses and people on the street. Despite the overcrowded streets, we still found the beauty of this city in every street corners. There are secret passage way that you can take short cut from street to street. We stopped at the Deacon's House Cafe for a quick afternoon tea while we strolled along the Royal Mile street. We tried the signature scone with Craigie's jam and cream. It was really nice and pleasant after a long walk and to have conversation with our neighbour tables.

Along the way, you will find may street performers from people in Yoda costume to any kind of entertainments. Scottish men in kilts are also my favourite thing to see here. Another street that I would recommend is Victoria street especially if you are a Harry Potter fan. This is where JK Rowling got inspiration of Diagon Alley. We took a passage way from Royal Mile and came out to this beautiful view of the upper terrace to see these colourful buildings. Walking down this Victoria street, you will find many cute shops from a magical bookstore stocked with vintage book collections, nice menswear/womenswear in traditional Scottish wools to Harry Potter shop that you can buy each Hogwarts House scarves to wands.

At the end of the street, I found this big vintage shop and decided to buy a sporran as a souvenir. Miu Miu used to have a sporran inspired bags a few seasons ago and they were all sold out. Sporran is actually a traditional part of male Scottish Highland dress, it serves as a pouch with function of pockets on the pocketless kilt. There are many variations of this sporran from leather, rabbit fur to cow/horse hair materials. It comes with a belt but I decided to add more feminine touch by attach a gold strap from my shoulder bag.

At the end of our day, we booked a table at IVY restaurant to celebrate the end of our girl's trip which was really nice. We loved the whole experience from the interior, service and food. They had this butterflies and flowers theme for afternoon tea when we were there so it reflected in all the decoration in the restaurant.

Day 2 A quick journey to Highland

OK. This is a very touristy thing we don't usually do but we decided to go with this because we didn't have much time there and to see the Highland: a historic region of Scotland. If you've heard or seen Rob Roy and all the clans stories, yes it happened in this region. So we researched for which tour operator we should go with but unfortunately the highly recommended ones are fully booked so we went with our 2nd choice.

The tour started at 8am at the pick up point on Royal Mile street. We were quite surprised to see many tour buses leaving at the same time as ours from only one operator. The journey from Edinburgh to Highland and back took 12 hours and mostly we spent time on a bus with a tour guide/bus driver telling stories along the way. We had big stops at the highlight places. So it was an OK day to spent if you don't have much time as we think to really do this properly you'll need 3-4 days.

First stop: The highland cow or Hairy Coo.

This stop is actually for toilet stop and they happened to have 3 Hairy Coo there for feeding and photograph. These are cute and funny looking animal. The long hair especially their bangs gives their abilities to overcome winter weather. You will find many souvenir with these cattle.

The next stop we stopped for brunch and toilet break. It was a cafeteria like and we got to try Scottish Broth which is clear soup with barley and vegetable. It was surprisingly nice from the look of it. Then we are off to Glencoe which is where we aimed for.

Glencoe is known for its history of this mass massacre in 1972, estimated 30 members of McDonald clan of Glencoe were ordered to be killed by the king. However this area is also famous for it's breathtaking 360 degrees scenic view. Even though we only had 10 minutes stop there but to really see and breath the fresh crisp air was really really good experience. Not to mention the gorgeous view along the bus drive.

Then another few hours, we arrived at Loch Ness which is the large and deepest (37 km deep) freshwater loch in the Iverness, Scotland. As you might already heard about Nessie monster which is probably the main tourist attraction here. We took a ferry ride for one hour and stopped at the ruined of Urquhart castle (dated back in 16th century) but honestly there's not much to see here.

It was time to go back to the Lowland and the end of our trip. My verdict is you'll need a good 5 days here, 1-2 days for Edinburgh city and 3-4 days for Highland. We really fell in love with Edinburgh, every street's corner you turn is just beautiful and romantic. It's definitely one of the place I would love to go back one day.

Liverpool re-visit - What I did in 1 day.

As a Liverpool fan for life, I'd actually been to Liverpool and Anfield twice in my flying days (alone). In order to celebrate their EUFA Champion's League title, I decided in the last minute to take a solo train trip to Liverpool for my third time.

This one of the thing that keep me and my friends in a good relationship for so long. We've never put pressure on each other and give freedom and space as much as the other person need. In this case, I understand that my friend wouldn't enjoy it as much as I would so why waste the time and money just to keep other person company. We are a grown up and mature women in our 40s so no nonsense and drama needed.

So I booked a train via The TrainLine app, there are different times and price here which quite good compared to the other website. I picked the earliest train schedule at 6.36am and 8pm train back to London town in order to make the most of the time there.

The app was quite helpful as it'd tell you how many stops to go, when to change the train and which platform to go to. It takes around 3 hrs by train from London Euston station to Liverpool Lime Street station.

After one flat white, sandwich and a good book, I arrived at Lime Street station at 9am. As Anfield is quite far from the city centre, I called a cab to go to the stadium. Right after I notified the lovely Scouser(another name for Liverpooldian) cab driver of my destination, he asked: "What are you going to do in Anfield, Love?" I know I know with my look, it doesn't really fir the football fan profile so this was funny to hear. So we started to chat about how great they've been doing this season and etc. Then we agreed that he will be my tour guide driving me around to the city tourist attractions for half a day at 80 £. I think it is a good decision for me to avoid walking and calling another cab in each location and also kill time for the day until my journey back to London.

I started at Anfield first to avoid the crowd during the day, surprisingly there were already a group of school kids in my slot. This stadium tour cost 20£. You can also book the stadium tour online as well to save time to queue. It takes around 1.30hrs to complete the tour. They will take you through all the rooms, locker room for both away team and home team, cafeteria, press conference room, press area, This is Anfield sign and of course the pitch. I have to say that the tour has improved a lot from my last time here. There is staff who explain what usually happens in each room and some stories about Klopp and each player.

It was raining really heavily after the tour finished, luckily Tony my cabby/tour guide was already waiting for me outside. Our next stop was the training ground " Melwood" but unfortunately it is not open for public and no training on that day. One of my request was to take photo at Jurgen Klopp wall. This wall is actually a graffiti on an auto shop wall in the middle of nowhere. So lucky that I have Tony that day!

Then we started the Beatles tour from John Lennon's house, Sir Paul McCartney's house. Unfortunately Strawberry Field was closed for construction so our last stop was The Beatles Hotel in the city centre and the Cavern pub.

From the city centre, I walked over to the Royal Albert Dock, one of the city landmark. From there, you can see the city hall with the Liver bird (A mythical creature which is Liverpool city's symbol) statue on the top.

When you are in Liverpool, the place that you shouldn't miss is The Beatles Story Museum at the Royal Albert Dock. It will take you to the beginning of the band's members through their fame and each era. The ticket costs 17£ and it takes around 1 hour to finish. The exit will take you to the Fab Four shop which I bought John Lennon inspired sunglasses for 3£.

Lavender Field Forever

One of the activities that I would recommend you to do when in London during summertime is visiting Mayfield Lavender farms! There are quite a few farms opened for the public in the UK but we picked this one as it is the closest to London. Mayfield Lavender Farm is open from June 1st to September 1st for 2019. So better check the opening period before you plan your trip.

I actually found out about this place from another IG friend who just visited the place. So this blog will be about how to get there and what we can do at the lavender farm. And please note that my blog is not really a travel blog so there might be too much of my pics here.

How to get there

Apparently there are several options to get there

By car: Using google map using SM7 2JA postcode. Probably the easiest and most convenient if you have international driver license. You can stop everywhere, every time you want.

By train: Mostly you will have to start at London Vitoria train station then you can pick between several route

West Croydon station then take a bus no. 166
Sutton station then take S1 bus to Banstead (Woolpack stop) then take a bus no. 166
Purley station then cross the road to Tesco Lotus and take a bus no. 166
Sutton or Cheam station then take a cab directly to the farm

We chose the last options according to our age and laziness. The cab cost around 12-16 £ then we arrived at the farm's gate. You will know right away with many traffic and the purple color. My friend told me to be there early in the morning and it was a good idea as not much crowd as when we left. Once we paid for the entry fee 2.50£ with the staff who standing right at the front, you are free to roam around!

The first thing that came to our impressions was the lavender scent. It was very nice, fresh and calm in a way. Luckily the flower started to bloom when we got there so July is quite a good timing. There are a few activities you can do at the farm depends on your time and preferences. From just walking around taking photos, take a tractor ride across the farm, enjoy lavender afternoon tea set and shopping at their gift shop. You will find many families with grandmas grandpas to toddlers visiting the place during summer.

We took hundreds of photos there because it was such a beautiful scenery and all the photos looked great actually. I would recommend you to wear contrast color and flowy dress. I decided to pack my dress here which is super heavy because I know it would be perfect for this trip. I used both iPhone X and my mirrorless camera Sony A5100. To be honest the most stunning ones came from iPhone camera in portrait mode.

After photo session, it was time for an afternoon tea and some shopping. The cafe menu are all lavender based like lavender soda, lavender tea, lavender scone, lavender ice cream and etc. We decided to try their afternoon tea set. Turned out it was quite a lot for two people but well... pretty.

Before we left, we did some shopping for our love ones back home. There are lavender oil, soaps, lotions, lip balm and even dried lavender bouquet. So be careful not too go crazy there.

For journey back, we took a bus no. 166 back to West Croydon station then a train back to London Victoria station. So it was one of our favourite journey this trip and it only takes a day trip. You can still have time to enjoy London in the evening if you leave your hotel early.

London Rendez Vous

Hello Gorgeous!! It took a while for me to finish this blog since I've been a bit tied up with wedding prep. And here it is my London restaurant and cafes list.

As some of you might know that I used to be a cabin crew working for Australian's national airline for almost 10 years. During our glorious days of flying, one of the destination that we used to go all the time was London. So we spent most of our time in this city as our third home apart from Sydney.

When my evil twin and I decided to take a career break for the 2nd half of this year, we agreed that we should go to London for our old time reminiscence and just chill for 10 days. So the area we chose to stay had to be in our old time area which is Gloucester Rd. Our Airbnb apartment is located on Cromwell Rd close to Earl's Court tube station which is super convenient.

There are a few things that I would recommend you to do if you will stay longer than one week in UK.

1. Buy a local sim card for unlimited mobile data. I think data helps a lot when you travel especially with navigation system like City Mapper and etc and if you have to connect with your friends or book a restaurant.
2. Buy an Oyster card. It saves you time to buy tube/bus ticket. For us, we bought a card with £30 value and only top up once this trip.

And here is the list of what we did, ate and visited this trip!

To Eat

Four Seasons - 84 Queensway

After we landed in to London Heathrow in an early morning flight and settled in the apartment, we decided to just relax and have an easy breezy day. The first destination is our favourite roasted duck place "Four Season" restaurant in Bayswater area. I guess this restaurant is a very well known place for Thais and they even have branches in BKK. Personally I found that the duck meat is not soo juicy as the original and my favourite chili oil/pickled green chillies are not as nice.

The usual - half roasted duck and stir fried french beans with hot&sour soup.

HJEM Kensington - 3 Launceston Place, W8 5RL Kensington

We found this small cute Danish inspired cafe between the way we walk through Kensington area to Four Season. The coffee was nice but we didn't try the food menu as we had to save our space for the duck.

The Creperie - 2-6 Exhibition Rd. South Kensington

This creperie had been the favourite place for many BKK base crew back in the old days. We just took the chance to go there if it is still there and yes it is! This creperie serves both savoury and sweet French style crepe. Personally I love their savoury menu and the proportion is good for light breakfast.

Aubaine Selfridges - 2nd Fl. 400 Oxford St., Marylebone

I found this restaurant from my instagram fellows. The place worth the visit for its menu, service and pretty wisteria decoration. Unfortunately we were still full from the crepe so we could only tried their desserts and coffee. I would recommend to make a reservation for the good seat.

Sea Containers at Sea Containers London - 20 Upper Ground, South Bank

We went there at the end of our third day, to enjoy the sunset view along the river Thames. Nice concept with good menu and service. Worth to go there and sit on the terrace for people watching. You can also go to the rooftop bar to enjoy London night view at 12th Knot.

Sketch - 9 Conduit St, Mayfair

Advance booking is a must! We took a chance to go there during the weekend and could only managed to get a table at breakfast room. The highlight would be The Gallery room which you might already seen this room in a beautiful pink decoration. Even though we could only try the breakfast, but I have to say that the food was very nice and the breakfast room was definitely worth our trip there. And don't forget to check out the restroom!

Chiltern Firehouse - 1 Chiltern St, Marylebone

We actually found this place by accident while searching for a place for pancake. It came up in one of London Top Ten pancake. We went there and found out that it was an old fire station became a hotel/restaurant. We were surprised to find that the garden area is very nice during summer. Unsurprisingly, it was fully booked so we had a table inside and found out that actually the buttermilk pancake is not on the menu. But you can order with the waiter. I have to say that it was heaven after a long walk in a hot summer day with a glass of Bellini which made it even more perfect!

The Monocle Cafe - Opposite of Chiltern Firehouse

OK. This cafe has been featured in many instagram photos and it was in my cafe list. But as you know, this kind of place has limited seats and mostly people take time to sit there and take photos. Since it is right opposite of Chitern Firehouse, so why not! So for me there's not much to write about. I tried matcha latte and it was disaster, long waiting and my matcha is still not dissolved properly.

Be fabulous in Florence

Hello Gorgeous!!!

Here is the last part of my 2018 summer trip and the most memorable trip for me. This is where my boyfriend proposed to me in September!!!

From Milano, we took a train to Florence which took around 2hrs to get there. We also stayed at Airbnb in the city center area via del Giglio. This beautiful old apartment has fresco on the wall with a high ceiling. And it was so close to every tourist attraction which was so convenient for us to be able to walk back for a short rest after a long walk during the day.

Everything in Florence is in a walking distant and easy to find. I also use the Citymapper app here which was very convenient to get around. My boyfriend and I did a little research for the place to shop and to eat so here we go!

To shop

It's always fun to explore the small streets of Florence, you will find many small shops along the way from accessories, vintage, handmade shoes and etc. Just to walk along these cobbled streets and old buildings made me feel very happy as you wouldn't know what to expect in the next corner. Vintage is a big thing here so you will find a good stock range from local designers to designers.

Epoca Vintage (Via Dei Fossi, 6 R)
Just before we reached the bridge, we found this vintage store by chance. You will find a wide range of RTW, shoes, bags, and accessories at a friendly price. I found this 1970s pretty silk dress there and fell in love straight away. This shop has both Men and Women sections so you can have your boyfriend entertained while you do your vintage hunting.

I actually found this shop during my business trip there. They have quite impressive stocks from big designers and I found a vintage Prada skirt from F/W 2004 collection there!!! They also have many quirky accessories and headbands. Don't forget to check out their basement floor.

This cute shop located along the riverside to Pont Vecchio. I really love their jewelry selections there range from earrings, necklaces, bracelets to unique headbands.

Calzature Francesso Da Firenze (Via Santo Spirito 62r)
I found out about this shoemaker from Jenny Walton and saved the address for this trip. We took a walk across the bridge to Francesco's shoe shop and arrived just before the shop close. Francesco has both ready stocks on display and made to order service. Once we confirmed with the size, he told me that the shoes will be ready the next day. I love love love the sandals so much as it can go with every look plus you wouldn't be able to find them anywhere else ( well...Zara just did the similar one last season in case you are interested)

To Eat and Drink

Manifattura (Piazza San Pancrazio 1\r)
This place is highly recommended for aperitivo after your long shopping day. Cocktails are divine with excellent service and knowledgable staff. We really had a great time there and I even went back there afterward. I'd recommend you to try Bellini(fresh peach puree mixed with prosecco) in summer. They have a wide range of bitter selections if you are into Italian cocktails. There is a light dinner menu available as well.

Kunnibio Firenze (Via de Conti)
This beautiful hidden bar we found while we stroll along the cobbled stone street and it was heaven to rest our feet with a nice and cold Aperol Spritz.

Trattoria Zaza Firenze (Piazza del Mercato Centrale 25)
A cozy, home cooking restaurant with the comfort food menu. Recommended making a reservation as it can get very busy in the evening. I love the deep-fried artichoke there.

Mercato Centrale ( located between Via dell' Ariento, Via Sant' Antonio, Via Panicale and Piazza del Mercato Centrale)
This is Florence Central market what you can find everything involving food! It's fun to go there and see all the fresh produce and explore Florence delicatessen.

Il Santino (Via Santo Spirito 60r)
This cozy wine bar is located right next to Francesco's shop. We love the vibe there, nice wine and light snack selections. I tried the meatballs and it's divine!!

To do

I wouldn't mention much about all the tourist attractions as you can find in every travel guide. What we did this time was the Vespa Tour!! You can choose to be a passenger or if your man can ride a scooter, that'll be a plus. The tour guide picked us up with a bus from the city center to the other side of the river to brief us about how to maneuver the scooter, Then we took a ride through Tuscany in around 3 hours. It was a nice experience to see this breathtaking view. There are different types of Vespa tour that you can do vineyard tour as well( since I don't drink so we think that it's kind of waste).

On our last day, my boyfriend surprised me by saying that we will move across the river to stay in another hotel which I had no idea. We arrived at this gorgeous hotel" AdAstra Hotel Particulier" This hotel is a private own located in the property with the largest European private garden. I found that the service, interior, and small details are just perfect. But what I didn't know was after our last dinner in Italy and came back to the room, there were a big rose bouquet and champagne waiting for us. So I thought "oh! another surprise! May be to celebrate our last day of this trip. Then by surprise, he proposed to me with all tears and overwhelming emotion. I said YES!
Well...we don't have an engagement ring like most couple but he gave me the most beautiful and elegant heirloom bracelet which he picked with his mom. We're in a process on wedding preparation in 2019 so hopefully, I'll be able to share our meaningful moment with you guys soon.

Be Fabulous in Milano

Hello Gorgeous!!!

I'm back from a 2 weeks UK trip. So, here we are catching up on the 2018 summer-trip. After Cologne, we headed to Milan and Florence, Italy. Let's start in Milan first!

Even though I'd been to Milan work-related two times before, I still requested to go there as I wanted to really spend more time there and explore the city. I will cover the whole travel tips & tricks for you just in case you've never been to Milan before.

After we arrived at Milan Malpensa Airport, we decided to use the airport transfer bus which is the cheapest and quite convenient transportation. Actually, there are a few options to get you into the city:

A taxi will cost you around 100 €. This is the most convenient mode of transport and you can reach your hotel door without the hassle with your luggage.
Train from Malpensa to Centrale station: cost around 16€. You might still have to catch a taxi to your hotel though.
The airport bus cost 8€. You can find these buses outside of the exit number 4 and walk across the street. There will be many buses with the money collector guys standing in front of the bus. You can pick any bus that has Centrale sign at the front. This bus ride takes around one hour and you can catch a taxi to your accommodation at the train station.

We booked Air BnB for the whole stay in Italy. In Milan, we stayed at an apartment in Corso Genova. It's in a convenient location with walking distance to city center and other tourist attractions. There are many choices of transportation in Milan from walking, tram, renting one of the readily available bicycles, underground and taxi. Mostly we preferred walking and tram as you can see more of the city and stop wherever you want.

I'd suggest you to load the "CityMapper" app to your iPhone to help navigating you around. It's very useful and easy to use. The app is available for most of the big cities like London, Paris, Milan, New York and etc.

Italian summers can be very hot with strong sunlight. So, be well prepared with sunblock and other protections from the heat and drink plenty of water. It's so much nicer to be in Milan in the summertime as the city is in the north. It can be quite miserable with a grey sky and raining in wintertime. Personally, I prefer to travel during summer as I can travel lighter with more clothing options compared to winter.

Day 1

We started with a relaxing day on foot to the city center. The best place to start is Milan Duomo as you can easily walk around from this iconic landmark which you need to visit when you are in Milan. One thing that you need to keep in mind as a tourist, you need to be mindful of your belongings at all time especially in tourist spots. There are so many risks from pickpocketing and don't talk or receive anything from strangers. Duomo can be very busy and packed with tourist and these petty thieves. My advice would be to keep your bag in front where you can see and don't dress too flashy with your expensive accessories to attract these people.

Milano Duomo

This trip was my fiance's first time to Milan so I took him to the best place for aperitivo in town - Marchesi in Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle. Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle is a historical landmark that is a big shopping center within walking distance from Milano Duomo. You can find all the luxury brands here and also many nice cafes and restaurants.

Marchesi is one of the historic patisseries in Milan since 1824 which now under Prada group. I'd been to this cafe many times and still love to go there for a coffee or dolce. There is a light lunch menu as well in this branch. You will fall in love with the beautiful decoration from the flower silk wall and all the pastel color dolce and chocolate decorated in the antique wooden showcases. When you are in Italy, it is advisable to try aperitif in the evening. Locals here love to gather with their friends for a drink after work before dinner time, it could be a glass of wine, Aperol Spritz to Negroni.

Another thing you'll have to try is gelato, there are many nice gelato shops in the city and we literally tried in every street corners we found. The most popular one I would recommend is Grom and my favorite flavor is pistachio. There is a branch near Galleria via Santa Margherita to stop for ice cream treat after your shopping spree.

Day 2

To do: We also took it easy to walk around the city to explore vintage stores and cafes. If you want to shop, the best area to go to is Monte Napoleone. There are many luxury brands and cute shops along these beautiful streets. After that, we continue walking to Brera which is not far from there. In Brera, you will find a totally different feeling from buzzing and busy area in Monte to this old charm and quiet area. There are small shops of vintage clothes, stationaries and etc. You can also take a bike ride there but we found difficulty with the bike renting machine and gave up in the end.

To eat: I requested to go to a gorgeous bar near Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli called "Lu Bar"(Via Palestro, 16) A nice place for people watching, brunch or dinner. We really love the food, coffee, and the atmosphere. Highly recommended!

For dinner, we got a recommendation from my friend to go to "Cantina della Vetra"(Via Pio IV, 3, 20123). We really love the food, service and the place.

Day 3

To do: We headed to Lake Como by a train ride which you can also search the direction in City Mapper app as well. There are many villages along the lake and you can decide which village you'd like to stop. We didn't have much time so decided to only stop at "Bellagio". It's known for its cobbled lanes and beautiful building along with the cobbles staircases. The lake view at the pier is spectacular so I would recommend having lunch at one of the restaurants there. You can check the timetable at the pier so you can gauge how you want to spend time there.

To drink: After a long day and back to the city, our aperitif destination today was requested by my man who is a big Negroni fan to "Bar Basso"( Via Plinio, 39) The legendary bar for its invention of Negroni Sbagliatos. You will find many beautiful locals hanging out here and it was fun to see this kind of atmosphere, families, and friends hanging out.

We come to an end of Milan stay and the next stop is Firenze or Florence. Until next time....

My Cologne travel journal Part 2

Hello gorgeous people!!!

I hope you have a lovely weekend so far. As promised and I will be away from next week, so I better write part 2 of my Cologne trip this weekend for you.

For me, Cologne considered quite conservative compared to the adventurous Berlin or Munich. The city is 2,000-year-old which spanning along the Rhine River in western Germany. It is considered a region's cultural hub with many landmarks in High Gothic architecture such as the Koln Dom in my last post. Unfortunately, most of the city was destroyed during WWII and had to rebuilt quickly in order to create housing for its population post-war.

Another famous landmark is in the Old Town area, we took a walk and explore many cute little shops along the cobblestone alley. If you walk through the area to the Rhine riverside, you will find the famous colorful Bavarian-style buildings in front of you.

I really fell in love with these adorable miniature dolls "Erzgebirge Blumenkinder (Flower Children) in souvenir shops in this area.

Hohenzollern Bridge

After a long walk then it's time for lunch. The hip area for locals here is situated between Aachener Straße in the south and Friesenplatz in the northeast. This area is called Belgium Quarter as all the street named after cities in Belgium. There are many cute and hip cafe, restaurants and bars along this street.

I found that Cologne might not be an ultimate shopping city but the charm comes from the unique character of the people. They are open-minded and relax approach to life which you can experience this in the brewing house where people blend in and have easy conversations or even invite to share the table with the locals.

My Cologne travel journal Part 1

Hello gorgeous!!!

It's been ages since my last blog (2 years to be exact) Well...I had been busy with corporate life and all. But now I'm taking a short break for my well being also with many projects coming up. I will take time traveling, taking self-development sessions, eat healthily, exercise more, meditate more, writing blogs and last but not least planning my wedding. So...I'd like to start out with my Europe trip last September with my fiance. We traveled to Cologne or Koln, Germany to visit his parents and continued to Italy. So this blog will be our travel journal the land of🍺🍺🍺.

We stayed at the 25 hours hotel in the Ring area which is very convenient to go around by walking distance. What I learned from this trip is the parking fee in Germany is super expensive!!! and to have a parking house here is the best business!

The 25 Hours Hotel brand is a small and successful German hotel group. Most properties are in Germany and they expanding to Florence, Vienna, and Paris. I would say that this is a "hipster hotel" with relaxing service style and different themes in each location according to the heritage and character of that city, for example, marine theme in Hamburg as it is a harbor city and for Cologne, they use the 60s and future Utopia theme. The theme will be reflected in all areas from the lobby to the rooms. What I like about this hotel is the breakfast room with the view of Koln Dom.

Since this is my first Germany visit in the past 10 years after I stopped flying as a cabin crew, I had a few food checklists that I need to fulfill:

Currywurst ✅

One place that you definitely have to go when you are in Cologne is the "Brauhaus" or brewing house which you will also have to try their local beer call "Kolsch". This beer will only be served in Koln and nowhere else in Germany. It comes in small glasses that the waiter will come around with a carrier. They will keep replacing a new glass for you unless you put the coaster on top of the glass.

The first place we were heading to definitely had to be the "Koln Dom" or "Cologne Dome". We took a walk from the Ring area there as we wanted to see the city and architecture along the way.

Fabulous Guide to Beijing

Helloooo my friends out there (one of my friend said that she felt when reading my blog is like reading a girlfriend's note which I like it!)

After a long pause from my last blog, here it is my Beijing guide. I just went there to visit my baby sister who is living there at the moment. I have to admit that I went there without any expectation about the city or people or whatsoever. But in the end, I really had a nice time there but most of it was because a good company that makes the trip different. Also the city and people surprised me a lot as well. In 6 days there, we found that ( from my opinion) Beijing is very modernized in terms of standard of living, technology and very convenient to get around. Shopping is unfortunately not considered great, you know I'm from Bangkok and we have these great local designers and superb shopping experience. But to tell the truth, without my sister as a local guide it would be difficult for sure as we don't speak a word of Mandarin. Yes! here everything is in Chinese and not many people speak English. We were fortunate to spend our time there in local way which was make it more interesting. So! here are my thought and sharing of things to do and place to go for you guys.

Recommend App to check pollution rate

Pollution is the first thing we need to consider when travel to Beijing. So better be prepared with face mask and checking the pollution rate in the morning before you go out. You can check with many apps available in App Store. Luckily we had good weather and pollution rate in healthy level the whole time.

However the weather in August is not ideal for travelling as it was boiling hot when we were there the whole time which made us not as appreciated in the beauty of the architecture as we supposed to be. So ideally Spring or Autumn are nicer.

To reach out

As we all might know, most social media are blocked in China. So Facebook, Instagram and most chat apps are unusable here except if you use international roaming from your home country.

To get around

Transportation is very convenient. We did a lot of Metro to get around which covers most area of the city and it's so cheap. In 6 days, we got this metro card with amount of 30RMB and we didn't even use the whole amount. It depends on the distant we guess as some ride cost 1 RMB and some cost 4 RMB.

Taxi is also an option but luckily we have our own car sometimes so I cannot really tell you my experience in this area. But man! to drive there requires a lot of nerve.

Bicycle is also another popular options, when people take metro and they usually use bicycle to reach their destination if it still a bit far away. To use these public bicycle, you would need an app to pay by scanning this QR code and it will charge your bank account or WeChat account. For short distance, sometimes it doesn't even charge but we found that it might be difficult to find a bicycle at crowded place in rush hours.

To Do

Our mission for this trip was actually to relax, experience local life and 2 must go places in our list were the Great wall and The Forbidden City. However once we got there, my fabulous local guide aka. my gorgeous sister took us out to these places all day everyday. So here they are.

Walking streets

Yes! walking streets! There are 3 main places you need to go see and experience. Shopping is not the main attraction as I said. We found that local are very supportive to their local business even though there are millions of huge and beautiful shopping mall around the city but we found these walking streets has it's own charm. You would see families come out enjoy their day walking eating. Gotta say street food is a really big thing here.

Nanluoguxiang

Most walking streets looks the same in their old style Chinese grey buildings. You will find variety of snacks, candy, fruit tea and etc which you can try along the way.

You can keep walking through this street and continue to Houhai lake which is beautiful and serene (as it can be with millions of Chinese people)

On our way out from Houhai Lake, we met this super cute grandma selling small things like rainbow umbrella shape hat and Chinese style hairband. In the end we couldn't resist asking for a photo with her and look at her cute genuine smile.

Wangfujing : Street Food Heaven

Ma La Lamb sticks

If you want to experience the true Beijing delicacy, you definitely need to go to this walking street. A small alley way in Wangfujing area where you will find unimaginable things people eat, you name it! Scorpions ( alive), Starfishes. The locals here love their street food in stick such as Ma La Lamp, squid and etc. Ma La is a popular oily, spicy and numbing Chinese spices and we found this in almost everything we tried on the street. The place is very crowded so better be prepared and Locals here tend to buy their food and eat while walking straight away. Hazard from food stick is prominent.

Qianmen

This large walking street is nearby Tiananmen Square and quite busy. With hot weather, ice cream seemed to be the most popular options. We found our favorite Jasmine Soft Serve at Wuyutai shop and just like that "We found heaven" for 6RMB. There's not much attraction here for me mostly locals sweets and snacks but still good to go experience Beijing way of life.

Fabulous Guide to Seminyak, Bali

As I promised that it will be Seminyak guide this week. Here we go....

Our next stop is Seminyak! Well if you are looking for hip places and beaches, this is where you should go. I did a research on which cafe is good and what to shop here from friend's recommendation and my good old Pinterest. Here are my to do list in Seminyak.

To eat ❤ As you might know that I'm into organic and healthy food, my good friend always teases me that it's my bird food. These 2 cafes are my top list so far.

Sisterfields Open 7am - 10pm Jl.Kayu Cendana No.7

My favourite mashed avocado toast and mango smoothie

An Australian owned cafe right at the heart of Seminyak Village. It's always packed especially for breakfast and lunch. I love that they use fresh and healthy ingredient. Smoothie are a must try. We went back there for our last snack in Bali and tried the berries pancake which we felt in love for. So it'd be wise to go there before lunch time otherwise you will have to wait for quite sometime.

Bluberry pancakes and Acai Coco

This place is also busy during brunch time as well. Food selection is really good but I found the pancakes are a little too sweet for me. Presentation is impeccable if you are looking for eye candy and a good feed for your Instagram.

Sea Circus 22 Jalan Kayu Aya, Seminyak

A cute Mexican place we found by accident after we gave up on Motel Mexicola. This place serve a decent Mexican food. We tried almost everything on the menu and was happy with them. We love the dreamy and cute interior and the place was not too loud to have a cozy dinner with girlfriends.

This place is a must go for the first timer. It's fun and vibrant. Good for lunch and if you like to have a great time at night with yummy Mojito. Better advance booking for dinner to avoid the wait.

To get around ❤ There are so many taxi service in town but I would recommend you to use "Blue Bird" taxi. They are meter taxi so you won't have to deal with price negotiation headache.

To shop ❤ For upscale shopping in air-con, you can go to Seminyak Village. But walking along the street, you will find a small shops you can hop in to as well. It's a bit more pricey here than Ubud.

Magali Pascal Jl. Raya Seminyak No.64

An Australian brand my best friend recommended to me. They only have Flagship stores in Sydney and Indonesia. If you are a fan of backless dress, you'll love this brand.

To watching Sunset ❤ We went to Potatohead Beach Club Jl. Petitenget 51B, Seminyak

Advance booking is recommended if you want to have dinner with a good table or you can enjoy sipping drink by the pool. Be there around 5pm to catch the sunset sight.

To get tan skin ❤ I use products from Hawaiian Tropic which give me natural honey skin. The Tanning lotion, you can find from Boots but my most favorite is the Sheer Touch lotion sunscreen which is spf30 and give you soft glow for daily use is not available in Thailand yet. I bought it from Bali and got more stock up from my soul sister who ordered them for me from USA.

Fabulous guide to Bali

Since I had a few requests from friends to share my essential Bali guide, here is my version of travel guide. If you're expecting a travel destination kind of blog, you won't find it here sorry guys. My trip is more of chill out, explore what locals do, cafe and of course shopping. But this is because I'd been to Bali a few times and done all touristy things many years ago. So if this is what you are looking for, here we go and hope you find it somehow useful in someway.

Normally when I plan my trip, I would do a research in advance mostly on Pinterest and Instagram. I would look through the geolocation and see what people do or go to. Pinterest can be very useful too as you can search from the destination, what to pack and place to go. My girlfriend and I decided to go to Ubud and Seminyak this time as our aim is to just chill and relax on our holiday. If you have never been to Bali, there are so many different areas to go depends on your preference. Ubud is more like serene, relaxing and slow pace. Think of rice field, organic and yoga retreats. Whilst Seminyak is a hip and cool area if you are a fan of Australian cafe culture, beaches, surfing and nightlife.

The first 2 nights, we stayed in Ubud area. The happening areas are along 3 streets around Monkey Forest street. You will find small cute shops range from jewelry, basket, handcraft, batik shop among Hindi temple. Balinese are very religious and take their tradition seriously. It always intrigues me to see them wearing traditional costume for ceremonies at their local temples when we browsing the streets.

Ubud Art Market ❤ If you are a fan of raffia bags and baskets, yes this is the place to go to. The selections in each stores are quite similar to each other. So my tip is better check around to see the designs and price range before make a decision.

My recommended cafe in Ubud this trip would be Watercress Cafe ❤ An Australian owned cafe on JL. Monkey Forest. Coffee is great and the food we ordered are great! The place is cosy and casual for relaxing after your expedition.

Sunbath jewelry ❤ on JL.Hanoman is one of my great find. I love the delicate, simple and cute jewelry there. They straightaway give hippy and holidays vibes once I put them on. You can find a variety of stones selections in reasonable price point. I bought a necklace and anklet which I still wear them back home.

After a long day from shopping and exploring, we found this cute and stylish spa "Fresh!"❤ on the way back to our hotel from the back of Ubud Art Market on Jl.Dewisita. The place is well decorated and clean. The service was great. We tried foot spa on the first day and went back again on the 2nd day.

Dear Earrings

Talking about my most favorite accessories I cannot leave home without. From studs earring to small dangling to an enormous earrings you name it. I've never been shy to wear them. Statement earrings are always in the trend forever and ever. You can wear them to glam up your casual look like t-shirt with jeans or formal gown. The trick is "Don't Over Do it my friends!!" To pile on every statement pieces you have in one go can be disaster if you can balance it right. My trick is big earrings keep other thing low key may be just very very small necklace or none t all. Simple as that like revealing top, cover up your bottom part. Don't over expose. But like I said before as long as you are confident, go with it.
I think everyone has their one favorite brands. So here are mine.

I think most of us already know and aware of a big summer trend right now. It's summer baskets in all shapes and details. And you probably saw many trends reports and articles about this trend. This blog today is from my point of view as I can say that I have been using baskets for quite a while and it's somehow timeless. It would be disrespectful if we wouldn't mention the original person behind this trend, the fashion icon of all time and a muse for the most well known handbag "Jane Birkin". Her virsion of course we called in a common term here "Jane Birkin wicker basket" You will find her photos carried this wicker basket around all the time with every look.

Back to our days, one of my style inspiration is Ms. Jenny Walton from The Satorialist. She always mixes designers with vintage and street brands which turns out amazing and original.

Hairdos on a bad hair days

This is my very first blog in probably 6 years. So hope you will enjoy it!

I think the most common problem of girls with long hair everywhere is what to do with your greasy and sloppy hair. Well..for most of us here who don't have the luxury of time to wash our hair everyday( probably 3-4days I'd blame on late night work or traffic) Here are my tips and tricks

My most favorite and every girls favorite is Dango bun. Easy and simple. You would never go wrong with it. Dango goes with every look, glam, casual or even sporty.

A glam up do a la Ms. Bradshaw

My version is very simple. Use big soft scrunchy then secure the loose end with a thin elastic band and may be few Bobby pins. For more dramatic look mean bigger bun, you can use a sponge donut thing inside to increase volume.

My 2nd favorite is French braid. I rather go for unintentional look with loose hair here and there than the bridal braid.

Again & again. I just came back from outer space. Well being late is better than not show up. I have another fabulous collection to show you from Paris Fashion week. Mr.Elbaz 's collection always lives up our expectation. I rather find Balmain rock chic attitude boring already. Lanvin women are sexy in a subtle way, strong attitude yet feminine.I love a few pieces like that pencil skirts. We can see a different version of pencil skirt here and there. My all time favorite with fresh details.And you definitely can't get pass those serpentine prints. Awesome!!

I think we are way too far behind the crowd right now as right now Paris Fashion week is already going on.Well that's fine as you still have another 6 months to be prepare for the real wardrobe change anyway.
Last time Moschino took you to the farmer market. Today we are going to Dolce and Gabbana Farm. Even they came up with similar concept but Domenico and Stefano have gone beyond the veggie and green things. Imagine Sofia Lauren curve hugging dress.There are these pretty crochet flower tops and giant vegetable prints. Eggplants, Pomegranates and even red chili dress. It couldn't be this HOT! Viva Italiano❤
