New Eyelashes and eBay Arrivals [Picture Heavy]

2012-02-17T07:03:00.002-05:00

Hi, Gals!

I meant to do this the night before Valentine's but I guess I got caught up in real life happenings.

Anywho, recently I've been doing a lot of eBay shopping [sadly, it's addicting] and overall I've spent roughly $100 on stuff. They're mostly accessories, though. I mean, I can't help it if such cute things are selling for less than $5.

Anyway. On my last entry, I noted that I had purchased a 6 pair of eyelashes from eBay. Well, they arrived the night before Valentine's day and I tried them all on just to see how they looked.

Onto the pictures!

Okay, so here are the 6 pairs of lashes I got. I'm in love with the middle right and bottom left the most.

The ones on the top row I will refer to as "Set 1" because they are the most similar to each other.

The middle right and the bottom left are "Set 2".

The middle left and bottom right are "Set 3".

I decided that in order to save time and glue, I'd try them on 2 at a time.

So at the top we have all 6 pairs of lashes. Then we have Set 1, the thinnest, Set 2, the middle thickness and Set 3, the thickest. My pictures are a combination from both my DSi camera and my laptop's webcam due to the colour and quality showing up differently for each one. [I hate the lighting in my bedroom.] Just for reference, my DSi takes pictures backwards, so they'll be opposite to my webcam's photos.

Set 1 Set 2 Set 3

Onto Set 1!

Set 1 consists of the thinnest pairs. While they're really pretty and natural looking, they don't stand out enough for my tastes. I'd probably wear them if I was going for a softer, more natural look. They blend beautifully with my own eyelashes because my own are very long.

DSi:

Webcam:

Onto Set 2!

Overall, Set 2 is most definitely my favourite. Most preferably the one on the right in the image below. They are nice, thick and spread apart evenly. They blend well with my eyelashes and the extension is so pretty. The lashes are just so thick and long and give a really full look while still being able to see my eye shadow through it. I actually ended up wearing the pair on the right to work on Valentine's day. I had a lot of compliments. ♥

DSi:

Webcam:

Lastly, onto Set 3!

Set 3 are the thickest pairs, sort of resembling fans with how full they appear. The pair displayed on my right have rounded ends, so when looking at them, they appear to fade or show some sort of transparency on the ends. I really liked that. I find that these lashes are really nice, and I'll wear them more often, but Set 2 is still my favourite.

DSi:

Webcam:

Review:

Overall, they are very comfortable, they bend easily and adjust to the shape of your eye with no problem. They're really long, so if you wear glasses, they may sweep up against your lenses.

They're very soft and have a natural shine to them. They're jet black, which is great for me, who has naturally black eyelashes.

It has a nice lash band that is easy for applying the glue onto. It's neither too thick nor thin.

I like that the set came with a variety that could be used for various occasions other than Gyaru and even if you wear bottom lashes or not, they still add a nice touch to your eyes.

Do I recommend these? Yes.

Unfortunately, the item is no longer for sale because the listing ended and the seller has not relisted the item. They do have other lashes for sale and a variety of makeup and nail accessories.

Click HERE to visit their store.

Now that that's over with, I also got other arrivals from eBay.

Alright, so my 2mm, 3mm and 10mm tapers arrived in the mail along with my ear cuff. I also got a pair of nice ankle boots off of ebay that go well with this pretty purse I bought from Claire's a few weeks back.

I had to switch the cuff and stud parts of my ear cuff so I could wear it in reverse due to the fact that I'm stretching my earlobes to a 10 mm and I don't have a second piercing on my lobes yet.

10mm

This is my ear cuff after switching the cuff and the stud parts.

Ah, that was a lot of stuff in one blog post! If you read it, thank you so much for putting up with it.

Welp, that's all for now, so I'll see you guys until next time! Love you!

New Hair, Gyaru Practice, and stuff I bought~ (Picture Heavy)

2012-02-09T23:23:00.005-05:00

Hey Gals!

Alright, where to begin, where to begin...

WELL. I guess I'll start off with my hair.

I've been wanting, for a while now, to do something different to it because I have hair A.D.D. and am constantly changing it. As you all know, it was recently dyed blue in December for the holidays, but it quickly turned green from repeated washing.

I finally bleached it again and it's this pretty golden blonde colour. I went to Wal-Mart the other day and saw this box of Splat Rebellious Colors Lightening Bleach one application kit for $8 something.

It did a wonderful job! My roots were coming in like crazy and my natural hair colour is nearly black. They came to a slight orangey colour, but since my hair was pre-bleached, it's a very nice golden blonde.

A few weeks ago, I also bought myself a bottle of Keratin Deep Penetrating Conditioning Treatment from Sally's Beauty Supply for $8 because of my hair feeling much like straw from the chemical damage from my constant hair dyeing. Not to mention the fact that I haven't had a trim in over a year. I really need it. The split ends are killing me.

I've yet to use it, but the employee at Sally's recommended that I use it at least once a week and I will see results. So, here's to hoping. I want my hair to have the luster and shine that it once had.

So, after doing all of that, I decided to practice my Gyaru make up again and show off my waves and be a cam whore. Don't worry, I won't spam you with a bunch of pics of my mug. That's for facebook. XD

So then, onto my hair!

It came out pretty well and while I was at it, I realized that my bangs were waaaaay too long, so I decided to cut them. I was going to go for a straight cut, like I usually do, but then I wanted to do a "scene kid" kind of trim, and finally settled on doing a slanted cut instead. I was kind of unsure about it right before I did it, but...
I'm happy with the results now.

I also took a close up shot of my eye. You can actually see my top lashes this time. I also took Lolo's advice and trimmed down my eyebrows so that I could make them brown. They looked very distracting being black while my hair is currently blonde. I must say: I kind of like it!

I also laid on the eyeliner on top a bit thicker than I usually do. It was nice, but at the same time a tad frustrating. It makes it hard to see my lashes from a distance, but overall, made my eyes pop out more.

Nothing special, but I painted my nails Valentine's themed.
They kind of suck. XD

Now that that's over with, I also wanted to update with my current purchases and what I'm waiting for to arrive.

I decided that I was finally going to stretch my ear lobes. I know this isn't a very Gyaru thing to do, but it's something I've wanted to do for a few years now, and seeing that my girlfriend did it only makes me want to do it more. I decided I'm going up to a 10mm, that's 00G and have already bought some tapers to get me started.

2mm 3mm

4mm 10mm (Where I'm stopping)

I can't wait for them all to arrive so I can work on this.

I also got this Kingdom Hearts II Roxas necklace. I've wanted one for a while, so I decided to get it. ♥

I am also waiting on 6 pairs of false lashes.

Can't wait to try them on! Loving the second row, second column and the third row.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST:

I decided to be a great friend/girlfriend and buy my best friend and my girlfriend some ear cuffs for Valentine's day. I'm having them shipped directly to their houses. Sure, they may not get them by Valentine's day, but all that matters is that I bought them. ♥

Bought these hollow cross ones for myself.

Bought this lock and key set of cuffs for my bestie, Izzy.

And I bought these for my girlfriend. ♥

I can't wait for them to arrive! We'll all feel cool as fuck. XD Anyway, sorry for the super long blog post; I just thought I'd finally get all of this out there and out of the way in one shot! Til next time, Gals~

What do you think of my hair? Am I looking more Gyaru now? I'm still learning, but I do hope that I'm improving. Please comment and tell me what you think?

xoxo

Recent happenings~ [Picture Heavy]

2012-01-31T21:26:00.001-05:00

Hey everyone~

It's been a while since I actually came on here and wrote a blog post. I also made a new layout, BG and revamped my old banner. What do you think?

As you all know, for the Christmas holidays, I was in Amsterdam, to visit my girlfriend, Naoki. She updated my blog for me with the news of the 3 weeks that I was there because frankly, it was a lot for me to type and I got pretty lazy with it.

Everything's been pretty blah and back to boring since I've come back home. I really miss her.

When I came back from Amsterdam, I came home to a bunch of packages on my bed. I didn't manage to get a picture of everything, but I got the most important ones.

I was so excited to see that my eyelashes that I ordered from eBay had arrived. They were really cheap and they look nice on me.

I don't care about name brand items. I never did. You're just paying for a name. So why not get something off brand that looks and functions just as nicely?

I got a set of top and bottom lashes. The top ones are these in style #063. The bottom ones are these in style # 011.

I also got my 120 palette eye shadow kit from eBay, as well. Unfortunately, I bought it right before I found out the one I REALLY wanted from BH Cosmetics was half price for a Christmas sale. So, I ended up buying that one, too. Since I couldn't cancel the purchase, I decided it would be my best friend's Christmas present from me. She lives in Canada. c:

This is her palette with a slightly different colour selection from my BH Cosmetics one. The casing also has a matte finish.

This is my BH Cosmetics 120 Palette 2nd Edition eye shadow kit.

I'm so happy I got it because the colours look so nice and vibrant on my skin. I love it so much. The golds and browns look really nice on me and make my eyes pop. They're so handy for my Gyaru make up.

I went to work the other day and I decided to wear my lashes and Puffy Three Tones Violet. I did Gyaru make up and my coworkers said that I looked like an anime character! XD Then again, my hair is currently green and blonde, so I can see why. XD

Me on my way to work at like 6am

I've finally learned how to extend my waterline without going too far or stopping too short. It might be a tad sloppy because I was rushing to get it done at the last minute before work. What do you think?

Anyway, sorry for the huge post! I hope you all have been having a great year so far and I look forward to making many more friends around here!

We went out and since she wanted to wear her loli dress, I figured I'd join her. I love goth loli/kodona even though I don't really have the clothes for it, but I was content. I have no idea where the pics of her coord went ._. ...... da fux?

She wore my Puffy 3 Tones Gray :3

We got our cartilage pierced on the same side. Her dsi takes pics backwards, so that's actually her right ear o:

She bought a shirt and we walked around. Afterwards, he went to my cousin's place.

Shirt she bought.

We didn't do much that week :'D ;;;

WEEK THREE:
Nothing kinda happened aside from lazying around, playing ps3/ddr, internets, and general lolz. On the 30th to the 31st we kinda broke up for about 22 hours because of ~misunderstandings~, but we're all good now. (n U n)

On the first day of 2012, we went to see Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows and omg it was so good <3 Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ

Coords that day on the right. I dressed her because I felt like doing so. All of what she's wearing aside from her shoes = mine. Everyone kept asking her if she was cold, ahaha!

We went to Piercing Works afterwards to get new studs and I basically got mine for free! He told Demy that she didn't have to pay for one of the green ones and I could also have the other green one because it fell on the floor. Σ(・ω・ノ)ノ!ｗｗｗｗ

On the 4th we went out shopping (again e u e) because she pretty much had 4 days left here and since today is my grandma's birthday and I work on Saturday, our alone time has been reduced to 2 days ; o ;

Demy and I got these GORGEOUS pocket watches <33 We saw them 2 weeks ago and we finally bought them <3333 I love things like this so much. LOOK AT IT. /jizz. Demy's is different from mine, but it's still beautiful <3

I bought her these earmuffs and this.... thinger. She wanted them, but wasn't sure about buying them. When I offered to buy them for her she freaked out xD Bought them anyway ;D

Manga <3

That day was also our 2 year anniversary. (5th of January)

♥ We couldn't celebrate it like we wanted to because it was also my grandma's birthday, but we were okay with that. We spent it together and that's good enough.♥

~~~
The day before she left, we went to the movies with my cousin and her girlfriend. Demy's coord below. I quite like it, haha. I gave her the shirt since I don't wear deep cut shirts, so it's kinda sorta hers right now.
AND THAT CONCLUDES THE TRIP.
2012-01-25T17:10:00.001-05:00
HOKAY, SO, this is Naoki filling in for Demy because she's a lazy ass hoe and doesn't feel like typing her own blogpost because she's STUPID (u o u) I told her to make this post like 6 weeks ago, but bitches just don't listen to me >:U raaaaaagggeeee.
Anyway, as you guys know, Demy came to visit me from the 19th of December till the 9th of January. We had a blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast. As I am lazy aswell, I will copypasta a few things from my own blog entries as I am too lazy to type up a fully original blog post.
WEEK ONE:
Monday
Went to pick her up from the airport. It was quite the wait, but it was worth it. :3c She thought that tying a pink ribbon into my coat would make me look kawaii.
Nope.jpg
Tuesday:
Demy joined me to school since I still had classes till the 23rd (stupid :l).
Never trusting her and her dsi again >:U
Later that day we went out shopping and bought some stuff, she more than I did but whatever.
We got what we wanted, so all is good.
Excuse my ugly mug u n u
In the center of town, they had these decorations up.
Kinda pretty, dontcha think? :3
This jumpsuit she bought at H&Ms.
Coat from H&Ms and cosmetic brushes from Claire's.
Apparently, cosmetic brushes are really expensive (I wouldn't know. Don't use make up lolol) so when she saw this pack for about 7 or 8, she freaked out at me and allI could do was stand there like
":'D Oooo that's great!" Herp.
She also bought this scarf at H&Ms.
It's funny because I bought the EXACT SAME SCARF a few years ago xD
Wednesday: Nothing happened :c
Thursday: We went to return AC II because my save file doesn't match with the Game of the Year version of the game. All of my rage modes. All of them.
The Christmas tree on Dam Square in the center of town is HUGE. Σ(゜д゜;)
Saw this cool graffiti thinger on the door of a snackbar. Had to take a picture of it cause general lulz |Dc We're glad we took the picture when we did, because the next time we passed it, they had already painted over it. D:
Friday: boring friday is boring :c
Saturday: :c Boring life.
Sunday: CHRISTMAS!
I bought my sister a game for the ps2, Demy a goth/kuro loli dress and a rilakkuma bag (Pictures below), and my mom make-up stuff and some accessories worth €50. @ u @. Mom got me DDR, though. ヾ(≧▽≦)ﾉ I fucking LOVE DDR !!
Make up shots. Doesn't she look cute in that dress? nerr herr herr I buy the best presents. The dress is from Bodyline, btw.
FIRST PLANE RIDE TIME
2011-12-18T12:17:00.004-05:00
Good afternoon, Everyone!
Okay, so, it's not technically my first plane ride, but it'll be the first one that I remember. I was on a plane when I was a baby. So, that doesn't count.
As you've all probably read from my previous blogs and from Naoki, but I am flying to Amsterdam.
I'm not so scared of the flight itself, but it's the airport that I'm afraid of. ; u ; I hope I don't fuck up something.
So, I also tried to dye my hair blue, but over the last 3 days my hair has been doing nothing but pissing me off and not taking the bleach and hair dye. I bleached it twice and dyed it twice and I still have some blondish patches in my hair. I'm half tempted to dye it all back to black. :C
This is what it looks like right now:
But whatever. I'll make it work somehow.
Currently in the process of getting it curled by my stepsister.
I'm so excited but so scared. I get to go be with my girlfriend in person. ; u ; Eeee!
♥♥♥
I love you, Baby.
~~I'll also do some Gyaru make-up soon as my hair is done~~. I can't wait to see her. ; u ;
I'll upload some pics of my make up later. ; u ;
Edit: I was rushing at the last minute, so I didn't have time for Gyaru make up. I just did normal make up with a bunch of glitter. Currently at the airport. @ u @
Also: my hair is cute. What do you Gals think?
Ciao for now!
So, I got posted on Gyaru-Valentine, too!
This makes me so happy. ; 3 ; Thank you all so much for your support!
G-V #26
Okay, so last Sunday, my best friend decided to come back to town to visit for the Holidays. I'm about to leave for Amsterdam and I wanted to see her again before I left for my 23 day long vacation with Naoki. She lives in Chicago and I haven't seen her since August because she moved away last January.
Anywho, she showed some interest in Gyaru lately and wanted some help with make up and such. I'm still a newbie myself at this, so we decided to practice together. She doesn't have circle lenses yet, but she's thinking about ordering in some gray ones. c: I gave her a bunch of my spare false eyelashes to get her started. I didn't use bottom lashes this time because last time, when removing them, the glue stuck to my real lashes and yanked them out. Right now I have a small gap on my right eye where lashes should be, so I won't wear bottom ones til that grows back.
Beware: this is picture heavy.
Best Friends~
So, first we did our makeup and I took a shot of my eyes. The lighting made them pop out so much.
Sooo, I played in make up after my shower today~
2011-12-09T01:40:00.005-05:00
Hi hi~
Okay, so my girlfriend warned me against posting everyday unless it's absolutely gyaru related because it can get annoying to my followers... so, sorry about that. XD
Today, I happened to stumble across this wonderful makeup blog. I couldn't help but instantly follow her. Her makeup is absolutely stunning. Go have a look-see.
After going through her blog, I was suddenly inspired to play in my own makeup. I wanted to play with colours today and I saw this one of hers which made me put in my green contacts and get ready to practice some green gyaru makeup. I've been looking into the Rokku Gyaru style, so I may try that sometime soon.
I didn't try to recreate the style, but I used the colour scheme. Naoki was telling me how she loved winged eyeliner/shadow, so I thought I'd try that today. While I was at it, I gave it a shot at extending my waterline, too. Normally, I don't, but I thought to myself: why not?
I don't have any white eyeliner to fill in the gap, but I tried it with white eye shadow. I seriously need to go shopping, man. :|
Shots with bangs down. I decided to cut them more and make them thicker. c:
I hope you gals like it! Any advice? Tips?
I think I looked cute today~
2011-12-07T18:46:00.003-05:00
Hi, again~
I'm not too hip on Gyaru Fashion or anything, so I need to look into that.
Anyway, today I put together an outfit that consisted of a black and purple fedora, a purple, plaid over shirt, a gray t-shirt under that, a black, layered skirt, gray thermal stockings with argyle designs on the side and black, lace-up boots. I also layered up my tutus beneath the skirt to make it poof out a bit more.
I know my camera quality sucks because my digital camera is stupid and the flash is ridiculous because it whites EVERYTHING out. Either that, or it doesn't detect any light. It's really, REALLY stupid.
Without Flash
With Flash (several attempts later)
So then, I had to switch over to my DSi because my camera was irritating me greatly.
I managed to get a few decent shots in, but I dislike how small and low quality they are. So please, bear with me until I get a new camera. ; u ;
Those are the full body shots. I also took a picture of my Hello Kitty key necklace and my face. XD;;;
I don't have Gyaru makeup on today because I was in a hurry to get to school. ;;; I'm almost always late. But, I'll put some on after I take my shower and wash my hair.
I also need to purchase a curling iron. :I
Anywho, gimme a few hours and I might update with some makeup. I finally bought black mascara, YES!
Love, Demy~
