The second time I visit the place, went there with my mum at Saturday at around 2pm.
The weather was HOT!!!

The stuff that they sell are getting lesser, check out the blog post that I visit previously, last time they have more stuff compare to now.

The place that they sell vegetable, this is at the very end of the stalls.

Not sure what is this for, they said is for medicine. RM160 for one.
And the dude are selling aphrodisiac medicine, so I guess this must be something related to it.

Mum bought the fried banana, and the indo local titbits.

2012 Wesak Day, visit all the Buddhist Temple at Kuching

2012 Wesak Day, and procession team

On the Wesak day, since my mum is here I bring her to all the Buddhist temple to witness how is the Wesak Day celebration at Kuching. This is the Sarawak Buddhist Temple, and here they also have kindergarten school. So on this day, the teacher have selected a few pupils to wave the Buddhist flag, and welcome the guest of honour.

The pupils seems to be very happy able to play with the flag, and the teacher keep on reminding them to stay in their line. But after a while, the line just become like snake again. And the teacher have to remind them again... lols.

Then bring mummy various Buddhist temple to bath the little Buddha. 佛教居士林

As usual, there will be a night procession. Most of the schools in Kuching will organise a team to join the procession, and also the Buddhist temples.

And colourful Buddhist float, the judge will give marks to the prettiest float, and price will be given to the winner.

Where is the Pancor Hotspring @ Kuching, Serian Road?

Sorry for my sleepy face :) but I've work up around 5am that morning, waited for my friend to pick me up at 5.30am. At first they told me that we're going to the hotspring. So I tough, I've been to the hotspring before, and it doesn't take that long to reach, why we have to go so early?

Then, saw my friend drive pass the junction to the Annah Raise Hotspring, and keep on driving all the way to the Kuching-Serian road. And we drive pass the Siburan Village (17 Mile), then Pass the Beratok Village (21st Mile), and pass the Tapah Village (22nd Mile). Then he took a left turn into the Dragon School (aka College Tun Abdul Razak) at Tapah Village (22nd Mile Kuching Serian Road).

And then, we drive again for another 10 - 15 min, and I saw signboard saying "Pancor Hotspring", then we turn right, again, and follow the signboard again. And finally we reach our destination.

This is my first visit to the Pancor Horspring, and is so near to my grandma hose at Tapah Village. Next time I can come here to deep my leg before visiting grandma.

Entrance for each person is RM3. They have toilet, changing room. And I also notice they are building a huge hall on the entrance.

The whole place is like a pond, which have static water. Yeah, static water. Everyone will deep inside the hotspring. My fiend told me that not to worry about hygiene, cause the water is hot, and it will kill all the bacteria. But for me, I will still prefer to deep my leg only.

Whereas my friends, they all choose to deep the whole body into the hotspring pond. We are lucky that day, cause is a hazy day, so although the sun is already high up in the sky, we still not feel that hot.

I've deep my leg inside the water for more than an hours of time, and I begin to sweat after that, and a bit dizzy, maybe my blood pressure is getting high. But it really feels good to be able to deep your leg into the hot water ;)

I also check out the other site of the place, the water here are all static. Can see a lot of algae, the water here is not hot but is normal cold. Still unable to find any fish swimming around here. Maybe is too dirty. This place has a potential to become a good tourist attraction, am so proud of Kuching, it is really a hidden treasure.

How to look after a lots of Kids? read My previous visit to the family, to know more about this family.

For you who are having birthday, Happy Birthday :)

yeah, when we get a simple Happy Birthday wish on our birth day, we will feel warm, and happy, cause we know that we still have someone who remember us, someone who like us, someone who care for us, someone who we called friend/family.

When we asked this mother what is her children birthday, she needs to refer to the birth certificate for the actual day. Can't blame her for not remembering the children actual birthdate, cause too much of them, and she have to look after their living, study, work, health, wash clothes, etc.

After we know the birthday of the kids, we then went and celebrate birthday with the kids there.

So my friend, please remember the birthday of your love one, family, kids, or best friend. And if your busy, a simple Happy Birthday text will be more than enough to make them happy for that day.

The Bungai Beach (Pantai Bungai) @ Bekenu, Miri

I'm at the Bungai Beach, is a family day :) this beach is a 40 minutes drive from the Miri town.

Just like Buntal Village at Kuching, this place is a fisherman village too. But the good thing about this beach is that it is very clean. The water is crystal clear, and the ocean is green blue in colour. I seldom see such clean ocean in Sarawak. Normally is a but muddy.

The the beach cost line is like a few kilometer long.

I like this beach because it has a lot of big tress on the cost line, and I went there around 10am that day, we all just picnic under the trees shade. Without worrying the hot sun :)

And here it also has lots of jelly fish, some is huge!!! it give me the goose bum when seeing the jelly fish's back. Few years back (the first time encounter jelly fish), my brother and I went to a beach, and caught a few jelly fish, but we got stunk by it, and after that never in our life we dare to get close to a jelly fish anymore.

My visit to the Sepupok Town (old Niah Town) @ Miri

So after the Niah Town, we went to the old Niah Town, is called Sepupok. You can get the location at google map here.

The famous food at this place is the Lobster Noodles, 9 bucks per bow. The reason we go there is because of the noodles, but unfortunately the owner went to Miri town that day, so they're not cooking.

The same at the Bekenu town and Niah town, it has a river next to the town center too.

And a "Beware of Crocodile" signboard has been put up as well.

I felt so pity for the people here, as some of them doesn't have water supply to their home, so although is very danger (crocodile) to bath in the river, but they have no choice.

My Visit to Batu Niah Town @ Miri

After my visit to Bekenu, then my parent and I drive another 15 mins to another town called Niah. My last visit to the Niah town is here. Where I explorer the famous Niah Cave.

Upon enter the Niah town, we are welcome by this magnificent view in front of us. The cliff wall of the Niah town.

My 2nd visit to this place, and this time I roam around the town area and see what they have there.

A Chinese school, is the SJKC Chee Mung. This might be a primary school, I also study in a Chinese primary school. And I learn how to write and read in Chinese there. But after goes to secondary school, no teacher available to teach Chinese, so we have no more changes to learn Chinese again.

Most of the small town in Sarawak, there will be a river. Is the same as Niah here, and they also put in a sign "A danger sign" of the alligator!!!!

Look at the static and muddy water here, you dare to swim in this place?

My Visit to the small town called Bekenu @ Miri

I visited a small town called the Bekenu Town, so this place is a 30 min drive from Miri. This town is under the Subis District Council. And as you can see the picture here, one of the income source is from oil palm plantation.

Upon entering the town, you can see a few row of newly develop shop lots. And most of them are operate by the Chinese people. Yes, the Barisan National are quite active here, cause I can see a lot of flags of the BN, and the PBB (Persaka Bumiputera Bersatu) in English is the United Traditional Bumiputera Party.

So opposition team, common where are you guys!!! do more roadshow in places like this, they need to know the truth about our country!!!

On the second half of the town, is where the old shop lots are. Most of them still remain their old appearance.

Most of them are also operate by the Chinese people here, and small town like this, they have 4 motor bike shops. The business is good, cause most of them are using motorcycle.

A place for the people here to hangout during their free time. The Bekenu esplanade.

And I also visited the marker, as it is just beside the Bekenu esplanade. The seafood here looks very fresh, from all the small town that I visited, I notice they have fresh sea product. And the price is rather cheap to compare with the one we have in the big cities.

A few Malay stalls are selling all this fried kuih, which I can't resist not to eat them. I bough a lot of this kuih.

This is made from fish, and it taste very nice. with 1 buck you can get 5 of those, if eat with the chili sauce it tastes even better.

A traditional Chinese temple at the very back of the town area. We went in and visited the place.
I'll put up more photos in my next post, cause I also visited the Bekenu beach, and also Batu Niah town.

How to make apps go full screen in Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1

I install a few Chinese apps in my galaxy tab, and most of the apps are not build for tablet size android platform. So when running the apps, it will not go full screen.

If you have this problem too, I recommend you use the following software, as it can solve this issue. And is called "Spare Part", try to search it in the Google Play market. The link is here <-----

After you installed it, this application will force all apps to use full screen on your tablet. But to get the app to work you require to do a few steps, this is just a one time configuration. The app take several reboots to be properly configured, but that’s a one time ordeal. JKK Mobile, advises these steps:

Download Spare Parts from Android Market and go through the instlalation process, which should begin automatically after the app has been downloaded.
Launch the app by opening it. Scroll to “Compability Mode.” JKK Mobile advises to tap on the check box, and then untap it again.
Then reboot the Galaxy tab.
Go back into Spare Parts after reboot and go to “Comptability Mode” again and tap it again and then reboot.
After reboot, your apps should be in full screen.

Your apps will be full screen like this....FULL SCREEN finally....

My visit to Sentosa Hospital Kuching

The Kuching Sentosa Hospital, this is a place for the mental patients get their treatment. And they will also stay here for a very long period of time. The nurse told me that until today, there are no NGO came and celebrate Chinese New Year with them, and she suggest me to write in a letter for the Hospital to request for a visitation.

So I did, and had arrange with my friends in the NGO to go and visit them. I visited the place few years ago, as one of my friend suffer from mental illness, and the in-law them sent her here (what a bastard). I went with one of my friend to visit her, and shockinly she was tie on the bed (both of her hand and food). We then request the nurse to untie her, and start to confrot her. I stay there for that evening, and are suround with patient with mental illness. They will come and approach me, and ask for cigerate. I also hear people screaming, and the mental patients will keep on come and talk to me, mumbling themself. Fortunately, my friend had recover from her illness now, after undergo several treatment at the Sentosa Hospital.

This will be the 2nd time I visit the place, tho is a bit worry, but I told myself I have to be equals to these people. Who knows one day I might also suffer from such illness and need people to come help me too.

Upond our arrival, the patients there follows the instruction from the nurses, and sit properly in the hall. Waiting for the show to beging, I need to make the introduction, so as always I will make some joke with my audience first, normally my audiences will laugh and react to my joke, but not much respond from them. I tell myself is ok, and lets get the show started.

When we play games with them, they became active. And most of them are trying their best to answer our question in order to win the price. And when we sing, they also know how to clap hands, and sing along with us. We give them food, they also finish the food without waistng a bit. So I'm quite happy to see these.

We follow the nurses to visit the rest of the wards, as some of them are too danger to come out, so they are lock in the ward. We pass the cupcakes to them, and they will come and grab the cupcakes from us. In every wards, there is one nurse looking after then (yes, lock inside the ward with them). I really salute, hat off to the nuses here.

From what I experience last time, honestly I cant really take it. From the visiting last night, I notice that they are really happy to see us there. I shake hand with them, and the old ladies are so happy. There maybe a lot of reason for them to get mental problem, but I really hope that one day, they will recover and go back home to have a good life with their family.

2012 Chinese New Year Charity Show

I've join the NGO for a Charity Show at the General Hospital Sarawak, on CNY Day#6. Had been doing this for few years already, and each time just hope that the hall will be fill with less people. Cancer is the number 1 killer, and until today there are still no way to fully cure cancer. My friend who work in the chemotherapy unit told me that if one has cancer, one of the most important thing is that person have to be clam and go for treatment immediately. And don't trust any other medication which claim that they can cure cancer.

Hope the God of Wealth will bless the people who need help. Bless good luck for them.

When we wish some of them to get well soon, I saw some of them cry. Their biggest wish is to regain a healthy body again, and go back home to be with their family.

My Visit to the Community Based Rehabilitation Center

This centre is situated at Ong Tiang Swee Road, Kuching. The people here some has down syndrome, and some are handicap. This is a place for them to learn on how to communicate with the society, and is a place for them to work (they do simple packaging work) and earn some pocket money for themselves.

I've been there for quite a few time, and that day is because of Chinese New Year, so I follow the NGO to come and give away some red package, and serve some food for our friends there. Each time after seeing these people, it will again remind me on how lucky I am with a complete body, and hope that my health will get better too. I need to do more exercise to get healthy.

Visiting to the Sekolah Tunas Bakti Kuching (Juvenile Rehabilitation Centers)

This is the first time that I've visit the juvenile rehabilitation centers, I'm with the NGO that day, and to visit the boys there, as Chinese New Year is just around the corner, so we bring some present, some mandarin orange for the boys there.

I'm the mcee for that program, and as always started to introduce the NGO with my broken Malay (damn, I really need more practice on my Malay language). And after that we have a few program line up for the boys. They gave a very warm welcome to us, and very good respond to us. When we have singer at the stage, they will wave together with the music rhythm to show heir support and appreciation.

When we have sexy dancer on the stage, well boys always be boys, they will show their werewolf face, and whistle loudly to all the dancers.

We also have games, and need volunteer to come up to the stage, and these boys are all brave kids, we don't have to please them, but they will rush up to the stage, and join in our game. Whenever one of them lost in the game, the crowd will shout loudly to the person who lost it.

On that day, Two of the boys are January baby. So we all sang Happy Birthday song to the both of them, and gave them both present each. This is really a good experience, as I believe that they never experience so much people singing happy birthday song to them before ;)

The boys who came and participate our program are all with good discipline record while in the rehab school. And most of them are almost due to go out and enter once again to the society. We saw that while in the school, they are well train by the instructor there. And they obey orders from instructor, and are highly discipline.

Hope that the boys here will learn from their past mistake, behave well, and be a good person when entering the society in the coming future. And also hope that the society will once again forgive on what they had done in the past, and nurture them to become a person who will benefit the society.

How to look after a lot of kids???

First of all, Happy New Year my dear reader. So on the first day of the New Year, I follow the welfare worker to a very remote village, and is situated at Singai Village, Bau, Kuching.

This family has 10 children, the daddy pass away years ago because of stroke. So now the mum become a widow, and she needs to look after her 10 children. The average income for her is below a thousand per month. I do a simple calculation, lets say she is lucky enough everyday there are people buy all her vegetables (oh ya, she plants some vegetables in the garden and sell it), and able to earn 1000 each month, divided by 11 person in the house (some studying, some still need to drink milk) so each person will get RM91.....

RM1000 / 11 person = RM91 /per person

RM91 / 30 days = RM3 /per day

That means that each person can only use 3 bucks a day.....

The house, they have 1 living room, 1 kitchen, and 1 bed room and that's it. The welfare workers will help this family to apply for government aids, and hope that the gov welfare fund are able to assist them in someway. And today for our visitation, we bring some rice, cookies, cup cake, lollipop, cooking oil, instant noodles, school bags, stationary, and some financial aids to her.

Is actually quite fun to see little kids running around you, seeing them eating the cup cake, and fight with each other for the cookies. Hope they can grow up in a healthy condition... may god bless them all.

Fixing my old xbox 360

My xbox 360 for this so call "circle of death", from my guess I think is mainly because of the xbox is overheating. So I youtube it on how to fix, and able to follow the steps accordingly. And I notice that the board does not has a heat conductor pad on back of the main 4 chips. I got a few of those, and I cut it into 4 small pieces and stick it on top of the chip.

After put everything back, finger cross, switch on the power button... and.... Yes. Is fixed!!! but I hope the fix can last long, cause I still have a few race to go until I finish my Need For Speed game...

2011 Christmas Performance at Hock Lee Centre Kuching

During Christmas eve, I volunteer to become a part time photographer at one of the Charity Performance held at Hock Lee Centre Kuching. I'm joining an NGO, they are doing a one hour performance for the public, and also distributing present for kids.

The place was pack with people, I saw they are all enjoying the show very much. And they even have Santa Claus giving away candy for kids too. Now come to think of it, how about us grown ups? we want present too.... :(

Charity Sales 2011 @ Kuching Life Care Society

Today I join the charity sales for the Kuching Life Care Society, and it was held at the Boulevard Shopping Mall Kuching. Wake at 6AM today, can't really sleep well last night, quite nervous that I might be late. Wake up at round 3.30AM.... :( and went back to sleep again.

The charity sales had around 40 stalls, and it was at the upper floor of the mall, so it was quite hot!!! At first I walk around, to make sure that every stalls has their own piggy bank (a plastic container for them to keep the coupons). Then I start to take some stall photos for them.

So I invited a few of my friends to come and help at the sales, and they all show up (thou two of them came late) I'm quite happy for them to show up, as I wanted them to slowly involve in charitable work. And hope that in the future, they are able to come and help more.

After the sales, my friends and I have to carry all the heavy stuff back to the centre. Its very tired, I think I'll skip my jogging this evening....

KK-KCH Charity Cycle Ride 2011 Ends

The Kota Kinabalu (Sabah) to Kuching (Sarawak) Charity Ride is finally finish, after months of preparation, and on the actual day flag off ceremony, until the last few days of escorting the cyclist. Finally it is finish...

(The 55 years old cyclist, Francis. He cycle form Kota Kinabalu (Sabah), to Kuching (Sarawak) for 13 days, a total of 1340KM)

This charity ride gave the charity society a change to pledge donation from the public. As they want to build a palliative centre to take care of the terminal ill patient. It requires 2 millions, and from the event, we have collected a total of 100 thousand. So it is still very far away from our target, but what we can do is keep on organising charity event. And also hope that the public will be aware of this, and help the society to make it a better place to live.

Been doing all of these charity work for quite some years, and for all these years I gain something like friendship, self satisfaction, happiness, knowledge, trust...thus I also lost something, time, promise, person I care. I really wish the charity society are able to build that centre, and maybe after that I can rest. I don't have much money to give, so the thing that I can give is my energy, some spare time, and my passion on doing this.

(I don't just take photo with girls only, here are me with guy. The traffic police that escort all the cyclists)

For all these year, due to my stubbornness, I may hurt a lot of people. I'm felt really sorry, I will keep on doing what I like, but in the same time learn on how to love other more.

Serian Highest Mount, Panorama View

This is the panorama shoot I took when I was at the summit of the highest mount at Serian, Kuching. I follow two of my friends go to that place, is behind the Serian town. On top of the summit, there are three telco towers, which is the Celcom, DiGi, and Maxis telco towers.

The hight of the mount is 776 meter above sea level, and when I'm on top, the weather are slightly cozy (not as cold at like in Kota Kinabalu Mount, or Genting Highland). But is better than nothing. The way up are fully covered by tarmac, so if you have a 4 wheel drive, it will be easy for you to drive up, but the view is worth it. If you have time, you may also picnic there, with the splendid view at your back. The Beauty of Sarawak.

I'm at the place where you can rent a boat and visit the small island near to the Kota Kinabalu town. I did bargain with a few boatman, but in the end, I chooses to go visit the mount of Kota Kinabalu, instead of going to the island.

Don't be fool by the outlook, cause inside the phonebooth, is a modern telekom phone. Suck big time!!! that's why I only took the outlook, but not the inside.

30 Nov 2011. It was 6.10am in the morning, as my friend and I have to catch our morning flight back to Kuching. On our way from the Kinabalu Park to the Kota Kinabalu Town.
