If you're like me, you clearly have no time to clean your own home - or really want to clean your own home for that matter. If you entertain a lot like me, your probably find yourself needing to do a quick clean before your have some your guests over and never really have to time to do clean in those situations either. Im sure you have said to yourself, shucks I wish I had someone to book to help clean for a couple hours. Well guess what now you can!

I had the pleasure of having my home cleaned by a wonderful cleaner thru HomeJoy. Its super easy to set up online and you can add as much information as you need (for instance, please don't use certain cleaners on some surfaces, please clean inside of the fridge, please do the laundry... etc) so your cleaner is aware of the tasks you need before he/she shows up. You can also set up your account in advance to have someone come every week or every 2-4 weeks directly on the site, to suite your cleaning needs.

The woman who came out to clean my home was a work horse, to say the least. She was on fire and jammed thru my home as if she had been cleaning my house for years. She was very sweet and she did a great job. I also just booked her again to come out and clean.

For those of you that are interior designers or for your clients that are getting ready for summer, HomeJoy is great service to help assist you by cleaning and organizing your closets and to help put away your fall and winter items. Also get those drapes ready by washing and steaming them and cleaning/changing out your blankets and duvets to more light weight bedding for those hot summer nights.

Sneak Peek - Lucy De Castenou Boutique - Beverly Hills

Before and After

Last year I started a new project in Beverly Hills for a new client for Lucy De Castenou a bridal and custom clothing boutique.

We had the walls painted in stark white and the ceiling light pink from Dunn Edwards Paints. We added new bubble globe lighting and all new chrome display racks and rods from Acme Display.

We also installed new glass shelves from Algami Glass Doors. And Erika Wakerly's wallpaper from Walnut Wallpaper was finally installed last week. More pictures will be posted later in the month.

Village Family Service / New Charity Design Project

If you follow me on Instagram you will know I am working on a new charity design project in North Hollywood with a new company called Village Family Services with Vanessa Kogevinas. So far we have received some amazing donations from clients and friends including Apt2b, Chairish, DMar Interiors and MDesign LA.

The home (featured above) is a mens shelter helping young men get back on thier feet. So the items we are looking for are more masculine, chrome, browns, beiges, blacks etc. But open to items we can paint or reupholster.

Since we have received so many amazing furniture donations we are need of twin beds and twin bunk beds. We also need bathroom accessories, towels, bath mats hampers and hangers.

New E-Decorating Project: Long Beach

Above is my inspiration board for my latest E-Decorating client in Long Beach, CA. I decorated my clients living room with lots of light blues and soft browns with a touch of some wood accents. This room is also the TV room so I added matching tables, mirrors and lamps to flank either side of the fireplace to fill the space. And since the clients like to eat in this room, I added a small table and two chairs that goes in the entry part of the room.

Out of respect for my paying clients I don't disclose where the furniture items are from.

Linda Allen: Live.Anywhere.Collection Wireless Lamps

I have known interior designer Linda Allen for many years. We always seem to bump into each other at events and you can't miss her - with her wonderful bright smile on her face. When I found out a couple years ago about her collection of wireless lighting I was super intrigued. And finally with a full collection including different finishes it was about time I plugged these amazing lamps!

How cool would it be if you could just turn on a light anywhere. Lets say your home outlet need some silly long extension cord and revealing those cords is just plain ugly. Or you don't even have a plug available to even turn on a light.

What about throwing an outdoor dinner party and being able to take an indoor lamp and just set it in the center of a dining table or side tables for ambient light?

With Linda's collection, called Live.Anywhere.Collection she gives you the capability to charge your lamp with batteries and place it where you see fit. No cords no extra switches. Brilliant, right?

PATH Charity Design Project 3

A few months ago Vanessa Kogevinas and I were approached to decorate our third charity design project with PATH Partners. We were excited to get our hands on this adorable two bedroom bungalow in Burbank for two young women who were moving into their very own first apartment.

These two woman have worked very hard to get to this place in their life and thru the PATH Partners program, Vanessa Kogevinas and I were able to make this space a home they could call their own.

All the pieces you see are all 100% donated from all different vendors, friends, designers and home decor stores.

The modern gray sofa was a new donation from The Sofa Company and the black barrel vintage chairs were purchased on craigslist for $60.00. We ended up doing some DIY to the chairs, by repainting them gloss black and staple gunning brand new brown and cream ethnic fabric to the seats.

I was able to also buy the Crate and Barrel dining room table for an amazing deal from Craigslist. Even though this is a charity project, we feel its best to fill the space with quality pieces or vintage pieces that will last and won't have to be replaced.

The project took one month for us to pull all the donations and have all the donations delivered just in time for the girls to move in but the next day at 5pm that Friday. It took us just 2 days to decorate the home and all the pieces fit perfectly inside.

Below are the two wonderful girls who were the proud new tenants.

It was wonderful to meet them in person, since we don't always get to meet the new tenants who move in. Wish you girls the best of luck with each of your new ventures.

ANTM All Stars Winner Lisa D'Amato's Baby's Room

I am so happy to share with you the final images of Lisa D'Amatos baby's room for her son Daxel. You probably remember Lisa, since she was the winner of Americas Next Top Model All Stars last year and from Design Therapy!

I was invited to Lisa D'Amato's baby shower last year and we started talking about what her plans were for the baby's room. Lisa didn't really have any set plans for the room so I suggested we may want to reach out to some national stores and see if they might be interested in sponsoring the room.

I asked Lisa what type of style she would like for the room and she said I would love to recreate the room into a Circus themed room, so we decided to call it Cirque D' LA and off we went!

I was able to get all the major furnishings from Land of Nod, the fabric from Premier Prints, window treatments came from Restyle, the paint was all given to us by Valspar, flooring by Lumber Liquidators and lots of amazing artwork, toys, clothes and lighting from some incredible and generuous Etsy designers.

Just some of the Etsy designers that helped out with product were: The "D" marque letter, the beautiful tent photograph, the silhouette of Daxel, card board elephant, the gold and black elephant print, the honey badger stuffed toy, and the black and white stuffed elephant.

I didn't want to create some cutsie circus room, so I pulled images online of vintage circus performers and stayed within the colors of the red, black and gray. The crib breaks down to a toddler bed, so Daxel has a few more years to enjoy his bed. Since the room is round, (its actually a Castle!) I put the bed near to the turret part of the room so he could have more play room on the floor. We took advantage off all the wall space filling it with tons of circus themed art.

NEW "Glazed" Wallpaper Line by Jeff Andrews

I am always searching for new wallpaper patterns for my clients and as I was looking on Astek's website trying to find some interesting Chinoiserie style papers I came across Jeff Andrews new "Glazed" line. As you know Jeff designed the homes of the Chris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, The Dash Clothing Store and he is currently finishing up Kendall Jenner's new apartment.

New Project: Venice 8

I have been super busy from getting back from the holidays and wow, its already February! Where did the time go! I want to share a new project I am working on with a new client in Venice.

We still have lots to do but below is our inspiration board of the space with most of the new items we have purchased.

We are adding new wallpaper to the counter area, new upholstered dining room chairs, new pillows, new bar stools, custom bench seat, a new modern chandelier, new rugs and new custom black ottoman. Cant wait to photograph this place when its completed. Enjoy!

Venice Teenager Room Redo

I have super busy with projects and photo shoots and I have had so little time to post on my blog. I finally found some to time to finally post a new project I am working on. Well its actually not really a new project since I am refreshing my clients daughters room but its pretty much new since she has out grown the pink and orange and we are replacing all the furniture in the room with an entire new look!

Here is how the room looks now:

And this is how we are going to change it up...

The room will now have an overall "punk rock" look to it and as you can see its definitely a change from all the pink.

We are adding new red plaid drapes, new Eames style black chairs and repainting the alcove white gloss with different shaped gold circle decals. We will be buying a punch of vintage posters for the room that will be hung over the new black patten leather bed. The other week I bought a vintage campaign dresser that will be re-lacquered in black gloss with gold accents. We have lots of fun extra items that will be added as well... but don't want to give them all away. We will be installing in the next few weeks and will post pics as soon as we have them. Enjoy!

My Etsy Store

After a few years of collecting accessories and styling my photo shoots I have finally photographed and listed most of my items on Etsy to sell.
