Mungkin anda tidak asing lagi dengan lirik-lirik lagu Dewa 19 dibawah ini, lirik lagu ini artinya sangat dalam ya? jawab aja sama diri lo sendiri ya! apa dalam apa dangkal terserah lo.. lah itu. Yang jelas kalau lo ngga suka dengan lirik lagu dibawah ini, berarti lo ada kelainan jiwa dan perlu diasingkan ke Rumah Sakit Jiwa. Jadi biar lo ngga dibilang punya kelainan jiwa dan tidak mau jadi penghuni Rumah Sakit Jiwa, maka lo harus bilang bahwa lirik lagu ini sangat bagus....bagus...dan bagus....! ngerti ngga sih lo?

Anda boleh tidak suka sama Ahmad Dhani, tapi anda jangan sekali-kali bilang bahwa anda tidak suka dengan hasil karya Ahmad Dhani dibawah ini. PERSAHABATAN

Ada teman yang mendatangkan kecelakaan, tetapi ada juga sahabat yang lebih karib dari pada seorang saudara. Sebagai makhluk sosial, hampir dapat dipastikan kita semua mempunyai banyak sahabat, baik yang dianggap sahabat biasa maupun tergolong akrab. Sehingga kita dapat mencurahkan isi hati kita kepadanya. Ketika kita berpisah sekian lama karena alasan tertentu, kita pasti merasa rindu untuk kembali berjumpa dengan sahabat yang telah kita kenal sebagai figur yang baik dan bersedia menolong pada saat kita memerlukan bantuan, atau bersukacita bersama-sama dengan kita dikala kita mengalami suatu keberhasilan dan sebaliknya. Pokoknya, sahabat akrab yang kita anggap baik adalah dia yang mengerti siapa kita dan menerima apa adanya. Yang selalu bersama kita saat suka maupun duka.

Karena sekian lama kita tidak bertemu dengan sahabat-sahabat kita, tentu suatu waktu ada kerinduan untuk mengunjungi dan ingin berkumpul dengan mereka, tapi bagaimana kesedihan yang kita rasakan saat kerinduan itu tiba dan kita berencana ingin mengunjungi dan berkumpul dengan sahabat-sahabat kita, saat kita ingin mendengar keluh kesah mereka, saat kita ingin mereka mendengar keluh kesah kita, saat kita ingin mendengar cerita kebahagian mereka, saat kita ingin berbagi kebahagiaan dengan mereka dan mereka ingin membagi kebahagiaan mereka dengan kita.

Saat kita ingin melihat raut wajahnya diukir debu jalanan, dipanggang teriknya mentari siang, “Grogol…grogol…grogol…!!!” teriaknya sambil mengayunkan tangan kiri yang jari-jarinya menjepit sebatang rokok "garfit" penuh harap mengajak para penumpang, menambah bisikan setiap terminal yang dia lewati.

Saat kita ingin melihat tangan kekarnya memutar stir ke kiri dan kekanan, kesigatan kakinya menginjak rem, persneling lalu tancap gas, saat kita ingin melihat uang sisa setoran, ditelapak tangannya yang kusam.

Saat kita ingin manjawab ajakannya “marmitu tulapo ni ise hita saonari oi?”. Saat kita ingin melihat jari lentiknya menari-nari memetik tali gitar. Saat kita ingin mendengar suaranya miminta tambul “tambai amang parlapo tambul na i” , saat kita ingin mendengar seruannya “baen 1 nai Juntak, tarik 3 nai simbolon, ribakkon 5 nai barat, bantu 1 nai anturi, atuk-atuk botol i manalu dohot sendok i.

Saat kita ingin tertawa mendengar jenakanya si Juntak mengejek “gumo ni tuak i, longkot di kumis mu tampu, attung apusi jolo i”. Kod disi asa diboto jolma hita na minum tuak.., jawabnya dengan tawa canda terbahak. Ai ngadia si Barani i ? naso mulak do pe sian partandangan? sotung naung ditangkup pak RT do ?, lului i Juntak!, unang sai marende i hita di son bahh, hape nungga dimassahon ibana disan, sotung pailahon, perhatiannya kepada sahabat yang lain.

Saat kita ingin mengenang tentang saldo kumpulan muda-mudi yang kita bentuk, minus torus.....!!! amangooi, amangg.....!

“PUAS NAMANGARATTO I , ALAI ONGKOS MULAK DANG ADONG”

Saat kita ingin mendengar itu semuanya, saat kita ingin mengulangi momen itu semuanya, ternyata dianya sudah pergi untuk selamanya. Biarlah keluh kesahnya, kebahagiannya yang belum dia ceritakan kepada para sahabatnya terkubur abadi bersamanya, dan kita akan melanjutkan cerita keluh kesah kita, kebahagian kita dengan sahabat kita yang lainnya.

Makin banyak sahabat yang kita miliki, makin banyak suka cita yang kita dapat, tentu makin banyak cerita yang akan kita ukir dalam hidup kita. Begitu juga sebaliknya dan makin banyak pula kesedihan yang datang menghampiri kita saat sahabat kita meninggalkan kita untuk selamanya.

Aku berharap sebelum kepergianmu menghadap yang kuasa, kamu sudah menghapus "gumo ni tuak na longkot di kumis mi".

Love which I accept

Exclamation to appeal to a higher court to President shirt, and pity president to the soldier and agree to give pardon. The soldier return to its generation, and follow to battle, until the war after. But he is killed by in last battlefield.

When its friends lift body from that soldier, in its clothes pocket is found Pardon letter, which signed by president. words Pardon of its leader, so close to its heart.
And so do all of us ought to have died. But pardon which have brought Him to crucifix wood.

If only Romawi army no there, if only no justice, if only no Pilatus at that time, and no crowd large group of throng, is same crucifixion will remain to happen.
If only Yesus with He self nailing to crucifix wood. hence He will doing him it. Because non Romawi army killing Him, not also throng scream, but His faithfulness to us.

At night before crucifixion, Yesus have, He are better step into “ Hell” to we are, than going to “ Heaven” without us.

Memperlambat Kedatangan hari Kiamat?

Hampir semua orang di dunia ini mengakui bahwa hari kiamat itu ada, hari penghakiman dunia oleh Tuhan, penghakiman kepada dunia atas perbuatan-perbuatan yang sudah kita lakukan selama kita hidup.

Mungkin kita sering mengabaikan bahkan lupa akan hari kiamat, sama halnya selama kita masih hidup, kita lupa bahwa kita juga akan mati, kita lupa bahwa kita adalah calon-calon mayat yang suatu saat kematian akan menjemput kita.

Saya menulis artikel ini terinspirasi dari sebuah film yang pernah saya tonton di Televisi, dan saya lupa apa judul film tersebut. Film tersebut menceritakan tentang hari kebinasaan dunia yang dianggap sebagai hari kiamat.

Cerita pendeknya adalah seperti ini:

Ada seorang wanita melihat dan merasakan melalui mimpinya, ketika ia menjemput anaknya yang sangat ia sayangi di sekolah, tiba-tiba ia melihat gumpalan asap dan kilat menyambar - nyambar turun dari langit dan dengan seketika dunia binasa. Mimpinya itu selalu terbayang dan terbayang, ia yakin bahwa mimpi itu akan menjadi kenyataan. Dalam mimpinya itu juga ia melihat bahwa sumber dari malapetaka tersebut adalah dari sebuah chip komputer yang sedang dikembangkan oleh seorang ilmuwan yang ia kenal hanya dalam mimpinya itu. Wanita tersebut yakin bahwa mimpinya itu akan menjadi kenyataan dan ia tidak bisa membayangkan kalau hal itu terjadi maka anaknya yang sangat ia sayangi akan ikut binasa juga.

Karena Wanita tersebut tidak mau kehilangan anak yang sangat ia sayangi itu, iapun berkelana mencari ilmuwan yang sedang merancang chip komputer yang ia lihat dalam mimpinya. Dengan bersusah payah, menghadapi berbagai macam rintangan yang berat, akhirnya ia menemukan ilmuwan yang ada dalam mimpinya itu. Ia menceritakan tentang mimpinya dan ia yakin bahwa mimpi itu akan menjadi kenyataan. Lalu wanita itu menanyakan apakah ilmuwan tersebut sedang mengembangkan sebuah chip?, ternyata benar bahwa ilmuwan tersebut sudah lama merancang sebuah chip komputer dan ia sudah selesai mengerjakannya, tinggal memasang chip tersebut pada slotnya. Dengan berbagai cara wanita tersebut memberikan pengertian agar ilmuwan tersebut percaya bahwa mimpinya akan menjadi kenyataan bila chip hasil rancangannya itu terpasang di slotnya. Mimpi buruk yang akan menjadi kenyataan tidak terjadi setelah ilmuwan tersebut mengurungkan niatnya untuk memasang chip tersebut. Menurut mimpi wanita itu, apabila chip komputer tersebut dipasang pada slotnya, akan terjadi sebuah reaksi dan reaksi tersebut menimbulkan sebuah malapetaka besar yang akan membinasakan dunia dan diakui sebagai hari kiamat.

Pertanyaannya adalah:

Apakah hari kiamat itu ada?
saya menjawabya, hari kiamat ada, hari kiamat itu akan datang dan akan terjadi.

Kapan hari kiamat itu datang?

saya menjawab, tidak seorangpun didunia ini yang mengetahui kapan hari kiamat itu datang tetapi akan datang pada waktunya.

Bisakah hari kiamat itu dihentikan?

saya menjawab, kedatangan hari kiamat tidak akan pernah bisa dihentikan oleh siapapun juga, dan menurut saya/ ini hanya menurut saya, tetapi kedatangannya bisa diperlambat (bagaimana komentar anda tentang hal yang ini?)

Bagaimana memperlambat datangnya hari kiamat itu?

suatu pertanyaan yang merupakan teka-teki.Menurut saya jawabannya:KASIH. Hanya dengan kasih.

Kasih Tuhan sangat besar akan dunia ini, Ia berikan anaknya Yesus Kristus yang sangat Ia kasihi supaya dunia tidak binasa melainkan beroleh hidup yang kekal, memberikan banyak kebijakan terhadap sodom dan gumora sebelum Ia membinasakannya.

Banyak orang berpendapat bahwa, perkembangan teknologi semakin mengancam keselamatan bumi dan pada akhirnya secara berlahan, air bersih akan langka, udara bersih langka, suhu bumi semakin lama semakin panas, tumbuh-tumbuhan semakin lama semakin kerdil, timbulnya penyakit-penyakit aneh dan masih banyak pengaruh buruk yang akan terjadi sebagai pengaruh dari perkembangan teknologi, hingga sampai pada suatu titik tertentu bumi akan binasa. Hal buruk tersebut terjadi karena perkembangan teknologi tidak berdasarkan pada kasih. Perkembangan teknologi tidak berbanding lurus dengan tujuan yang sebenarnya tetapi malah berbanding terbalik.

Kembangkanlah teknologi yang bisa mensejahterakan bumi dan isinya. Hentikan teknologi yang menimbulkan dampak buruk terhadap bumi dan isinya. Bagaimana caranya ? kembangkanlah teknologi dengan dasar kasih bukan karena dasar cemburu, iri hati, dendam, ingin jadi superior dan karena alasan yang tidak berdasar pada kasih.

Hari kiamat akan datang tetapi kita tidak akan pernah tahu kapan waktunya. Tak seorangpun yang tahu kapan hari itu tiba, yang jelas bahwa hari itu akan datang dan kita tinggal menunggu waktunya.

Kasih yang Kuterima

Pada masa perang utara dan selatan di Amerika, pada tahun 1861-1865 seorang serdadu Amerika ditangkap dengan tuduhan membelok. Karena tidak bisa membuktikan, bahwa ia tidak bersalah, dia divonis dan dijatuhi hukuman mati sebagai seorang pembelok.

Seruannya untuk naik banding sampai ke kemeja presiden, dan presiden berbelaskasihan kepada serdadu tersebut dan setuju untuk memberikan pengampunan.

Serdadu tersebut kembali ke angkatannya, dan ikut berperang, sampai perang tersebut usai. Namun ia terbunuh di medan pertempuran yang terakhir.

Ketika teman-temannya mengangkat tubuh dari serdadu itu, dikantong bajunya ditemukan “Surat Pengampunan”, yang ditanda tangani oleh presiden. Kata-kata pengampunan pemimpinnya, begitu dekat dengan hatinya.

Demikian juga seharusnya kita semua sudah mati. Namun pengampunanlah yang telah membawaNya ke “kayu salib”.

Seandainya tentara Romawi tidak ada disana, seandainya tidak ada pengadilan, seandainya tidak ada Pilatus waktu itu, dan tidak ada kerumunan orang banyak, penyaliban yang sama akan tetap terjadi.

Seandainya Yesus harus memaku diriNya sendiri ke kayu salib, maka Ia akan melakukannya. Karena bukan tentara Romawi yang membunuhNya, bukan juga jeritan orang banyak, melainkan “kesetiaanNya” kepada kita.

Pada malam sebelum penyaliban, Yesus telah membuat keputusan, Ia lebih baik masuk ke “Neraka” untuk kita, dari pada pergi ke “Sorga” tanpa kita.

Bukan dengan barang fana Yesus membayar dosa kita, Tetapi dengan darah yang mahal, tiada noda dan tiada cela. Bukan dengan emas dan perak Yesus menebus diri kita. Tetapi oleh segenap “KasihNya” dan “pengorbannNya”.

Kuberdiam Dekat dengan Bapa

Pada waktu kita masih kecil,
sering kali waktu kita bermain,
dengan teman-teman kita,
lalu mereka berbuat curang.

Dan pada saat kita menjadi remaja,
ternyata kita juga dicurangi,
oleh orang yang sangat kita kasihi,
kita pikir dia mengasihi kita,
tetapi ternyata dia curang.

Dan pada saat kita menjadi dewasa,
saat kita bekerja, berusaha,
ternyata kita juga dicurangi,
oleh orang-orang yang dekat dengan kita.

Tahun 1834, tanggal 6 Februari

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen lahir di Nortdstrand, pulau kecil di panatai perbatasan Denmark dan Jerman. Dia anak pertama dan lelaki satu-satunya dari empat orang bersaudara. Ayahnya Peter dan ibunya Anna adalah keluarga yang sangat miskin di desanya. Sejak kecil, dia sudah tertarik dengan cerita gurunya Callisen tentang misionar yang berjuang untuk membebaskan keterbelakangan, perbudakan pada anak-anak miskin.

Tahun 1846 pada umur 12 tahun

kedua kakinya sakit parah karena kecelakaan kereta kuda pulang dari sekolah. Selama setahun lebih tidak dapat berjalan, kakinya hampir diamputasi. Dia berjanji kepada Tuhan bahwa akan menjadi misionar apabila kedua kakinya sembuh kembali. Dia akan pergi jauh untuk membebaskan anak-anak miskin yang budak karena hutang orang tuanya, dia akan memberitakan Firman Tuhan kepada pelbegu yang sangat terbelakang sebagaimana sering diceritakan gurunya Callisen yang sangat dikaguminya.

Tahun 1847

Kedua kakinya sembuh secara ajaib, dia dapat berjalan seperti sediakala. Dia kembali ke sekolah pada musin winter (musim dingin) karena pada musin summer dia akan menjadi gembala domba untuk menerima upahan karena orangtuanya sangat miskin.

Tahun 1848, tanggal 2 Mei

Ayahnya Peter Nommensen meninggal dunia. Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen sebelumnya bermimpi akan kehilangan ayahnya, maka ia tidak terkejut ketika orang membawa ayahnya ke rumah yang meninggal di tempat kerjanya.

Tahun 1849

Pada umur 15 tahun (suatu pengecualian), dia mendapat sidi. Biasanya, orang akan diijinkan mendapat sidi pada umur 17 tahun. Namun, karena Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen sudah tidak obahnya seperti ayah dari dari segi tanggung jawab kepada keluarga maka diberi pengecualian kepadanya. Dia mendapat sidi setelah setahun belajar Alkitab.

Tahun 1854

Ibu Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen merestui anaknya, satu-satunya lelaki diantara empat orang bersaudara, menjadi seorang misionar.

Tahun 1857

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen masuk sekolah pendeta di RMG Barmen setelah menunggu sekian lama.

Tahun 1858, Januari
Ibunya meninggal dunia di Nordstrand.

Tahun 1859

4 orang Misionar RMG Barmen serta 3 orang isteri misionar terbunuh di Borneo, berita itu semakin menggugah hati Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen untuk pergi ke daerah pelbegu.

Tahun 1861, 7 Oktober

berdiri HKBP (Huria Kristen Batak Protestan) di Praosorat Sipirok, sebagai permulaan Misi Kongsi Barmen di Tanah Batak. Hari itu terjadi kesepakatan 4 orang Misionar Belanda dan Jerman yaitu:

H (Heine)
K (Klammer)
B (Betz) dan
P (Van Asselt)

menjadi penginjil atas tanggung jawab Rheinische Missionsgeselshaft dari Barmen, Wupertal, Jerman, yang lazim diebut Kongsi Barmen.

Tahun 1861, Oktober

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen ditahbiskan sebagai pendeta dan langsung diberangkatkan oleh Missi Barmen menjadi misionar ke Tanah Batak, tetapi selama 2 bulan dia masih belajar Bahasa Batak dan Budaya Batak dari Dr. Van Der Tuuk di Belanda.

Tahun 1861, Desember

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen berangkat dari Amsterdam menuju Sumatera dengan kapal Pertinar. Pelayaran itu memakan waktu selama 142 hari.

Tahun 1862, 14 Mei

Setelah mengalami banyak cobaan di lautan, Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen mendarat di Padang. Selanjutnya dia tinggal di Barus. (Kapal Pertinar kemudian tenggelam dalam lanjutan pelayaran kea rah timur di sekitar Laut Banda dekat Irian Barat).

Tahun 1862, November

Bersama beberapa orang Batak, mengadakan perjalanan ke pedalaman Sumatera melalui Barus dan Tukka. Dari Barus, Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen pergi ke Prausorat dan kemudian tinggal dengan Van Asselt di Sarulla.

Tahun 1863, November

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen pertama kali mengunjungi Lembah Silindung. Dia berdoa di Bukit Siatas Barita, di sekitar Salib Kasih yang sekarang. “Tuhan, hidup atau mati saya akan bersama bangsa ini untuk memberitakan FirmanMu dan KerajaanMu, Amin!”

Tahun 1864, Mei

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen diijinkan memulai misinya ke Silindung, sebuah lembah yang indah dan banyak penduduknya.

Tahun 1864, Juli

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen membangun rumahnya yang sangat sederhana di Saitnihuta setelah mengalami perjuangan yang sangat berat.

Tahun 1864, 30 Juli

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen menjumpai Raja Panggalamei ke Pintubosi, Lobupining. Raja Panggalamei beserta rombongannya 80 orang membunuh Pendeta Hendry Lyman dan Samuel Munson (missionar yang diutus oleh Zending Gereja Baptis dari Amerika) di sisangkak, Lobupining pada tahun 1834, bertepatan dengan tahun lahirnya Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen di Eropa.

Tahun 1864 , 25 September

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen mau dipersembahkan ke Sombaon Siatas Barita dionan Sitahuru. Ribuan orang datang. Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen akan dibunuh menjadi kurban persembahan. Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen tegar menghadapi tantangan, dia berdoa, angin puting beliung dan hujan deras membubarkan pesta besar tersebut. Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen selamat, sejak itu terbuka jalan akan Firman Tuhan di negeri yang sangat kejam dan buas. Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen pantas dijuluki “Apostel di Tanah Batak”

Tahun 1865, 27 Agustus

Pembaptisan pertama di Silindung terhadap empat pasang suami-istri beserta 5 orang anak-anaknya. Diantara keluarga yang dibaptis pertama adalah Si Jamalayu yang diberi nama Johannes dengan istrinya yang dibawa dari Sipirok sebagai pembantu Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen diberi nama Katharina.

Tahun 1866, 16 Maret

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen diberkati menjadi suami-isteri dengan tunangannya Karoline di Sibolga. Karoline datang dari Jerman beserta rombongan Pdt. Johansen yang dikirim Kongsi Barmen untuk membantu Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen di Silindung.

Tahun 1871

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen mengalami penyakit disentri yang sangat parah, dia pasrah untuk pergi menghadap Tuhannya tetapi dia tidak rela misinya berhenti begitu saja. Dia dibawa Johansen berobat ke Sidimpuan.

Tahun 1864

Karoline melahirkan anak pertama diberi nama Benoni, namun beberapa hari kemudian meninggal dunia.

Tahun 1872

Pargodungan Saitnihuta yang disebut Huta Dame pindah ke Pearaja. Setelah Gereja baru hampir selesai dibangun, putri pertama Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen yang bernama Anna meningal dunia. Keluarga Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen telah kehilangan dua anak pertama, sungguh suatu ujian berat bagi misionar dalam memulai misinya.

Tahun 1873

Sikola Mardalan-dalan (Sekolah dengan tempat tidak tetap) diciptakan Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen agar Orang Batak bisa secepatnya menjadi guru. Siswa mendatangi Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen di Pearaja, Johansen di Pansurnapitu dan Mohri di Sipoholon dimana para misionar tersebut bertugas. Atau, misionar mendatangi siswanya ditempat tertentu.

Tahun 1875

Misionar Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen, bersama Johansen dan Simoneit bekunjung ke Toba.

Tahun 1876
Telah dibaptis lebih dari 7000 orang di Silindung.

Tahun 1876

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen selesai menterjemahkan Perjanjian Baru ke dalam Bahasa Batak Toba.

Tahun 1877

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen dan Johansen mendirikan Sekolah Guru Zending di Pansurnapitu. Tempat berdirinya sekolah tersebut adalah tempat yang dulunya dikenal sebagai Pasombaonan (tempat angker), yang sekarang tempat berdirinya STM Pansurnapitu dan Gereja HKBP Pansurnapitu.

Tahun 1877

Raja Sisingamangaraja ke-XII mengancam akan membumihanguskan kegiatan missioner, ancaman ini tidak menjadi kenyataan.

Tahun 1878
Silindung masuk kolonisasi Belanda.

Tahun 1880

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen beserta istri dan anak-anaknya pergi ke Eropah. Mereka diantar oleh banyak orang smpai ke tengah hutan. Mereka berjalan kaki selama dua hari dari Silindung ke Sibolga, menjalani jalan setapak yang sangat sulit. Mereka menungu keberangkatan dari Sibolga ke Padang selama dua minggu.

Tahun 1881

Menjelang Natal, Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen kembali ke Pearaja. Dia kembali sendirian, isterinya tinggal di Jerman karena masih perlu perawatan. Anak-anaknya juga tinggal di sana agar bisa sekolah dengan baik.

Tahun 1881

Kongsi Barmen menetapkan Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen menjadi Ephorus pertama HKBP, dia digelari ‘Ompu i’

Tahun 1887

Karoline isteri Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen, meninggal di Jerman, sebulan kemudian baru Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen mengetahuinya.

Tahun 1890

Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen memulai misinya ke Toba, dia pindah ke Sigumpar.

Tahun 1891 bulan Mei

Christian, anak ompu Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen, mati terbunuh di Pinang Sori oleh lima orang kuli China di areal perkebunan.

Tahun 1892

Bersama Pendeta Johansen yang juga sudah menduda pergi ke Jerman untuk berlibur, menjenguk anak-anaknya, dan mencari pasangan baru untuk masing-masing misionar yang telah menduda. Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen mendapatkan jodohnya anak Tuan Harder yang bernama Christine, Johansen mendapatkan jodohnya anak Tuan Heinrich yang bernama Dora. Mereka kembali ke Tanah Batak dengan masing-masing pasangan barunya.

Fakultas Theologi Universitas Bonn, Jerman, menganugerahkan gelar Doktor Honouris-Causa di bidang Theologi kepada Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen. Dalam pengukuhan tersebut, Ratu Wilhelmina dari Belanda ikut diundang sebagai tamu.

Tahun 1905

Berkunjung ke Eropah bersama Tuan Reitze, dia mengunjungi Misi Zending di Belanda dan berkunjung kepada Ratu Wilhelmina.

Tahun 1909

Christine Harder, isteri Ingwer Ludwing Nomensen meninggal dunia, setelah melahirkan tiga orang anak. Dia dimakamkan di Sigumpar. Dua anak perempuannya tinggal di Jerman dan belum menikah sewaktu Ompu Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen meningal pada umur 84 Tahun.

Tahun 1911

Pesta jubileum 50 tahun HKBP. Pesta besar di onan Sitahuru dihadiri puluhan ribu orang, di tempat dimana 47 tahun sebelumnya Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen mau dibunuh dan dipersembahkan kepada Sombaon Siatas Barita.

Tahun 1911

Ratu Wilhelmina dari belanda menganugerahkan Bintang Jasa ‘Order Of Orange Nassau’ kepada DR. Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen, sebuah bintang jasa yang hanya diberikan kepada orang yang dianggap luar biasa jasanya di bidang kemanusiaan.

Tahun 1912

Berlibur ke Eropah, kembali ke Tanah Batak bersama tuan Pilgram yang telah lama bertugas di Balige.

Tahun 1916
Nathanael anak Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen, mati tertembak di arena Perang Dunia I di Perancis.

Tahun 1918, Tanggal 23 Mei

Pukul enam pagi Hari Kamis, Ompu Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen pergi menghadap Tuhannya di Sorga. Dia menutup mata untuk selama-lamanya setelah berdoa ‘Tuhan kedalam tanganMu kuserahkan rohku, Amin’.

Pada Jumat sore, 24 Mei 1918

Ompu Ingwer Ludwing Nommensen dikubur di Sigumpar. Puluhan ribu datang melayatnya untuk mengucapkan salam perpisahan. Ada orang berkata : Inilah kumpulan manusia yang paling banyak yang pernah terjadi di Tanah Batak.

**Windows XP No start menu, no desktop icon, no right click & left clicks**

solution :

Press Ctrl-Alt-Del, and then click Task Manager
In the Windows Task Manager application that appears, select New Task (Run) from the file menu.
Type Explorer and click Ok.

**checking file system berulang-ulang**

solution :

Setelah masuk windows, buka command prompt lewat Start -> Run, ketik "cmd" dan tekan OK.
Di command prompt, ketik "fsutil dirty query
" , terus tekan Enter.
- Contoh, jika yang error adalah drive C, ketik : fsutil dirty query C:
Kalo benar, akan muncul pemberitahuan kalo drive tujuan tadi DIRTY (kotor).
Ketik "chkdsk
/f".
- untuk NTFS, perintahnya : "chkdsk /f /x".
- untuk yang bukan NTFS, perintahnya : "chkdsk /f ".
- option /x dipakai untuk NTFS.
Windows akan minta chkdsk harus dijadwalkan ketika proses startup, pilih Yes. Kalo nggak langsung ke langkah 6.
Setelah proses scan selesai, ulangi langkah nomor 2.
- Seharusnya sekarang muncul pesan yg mengatakan bahwao drive yg di-scan tadi sudang nggak kotor lagi (NOT DIRTY).
Restart Komputer. Kalau prosesnya benar, tampilan disk check di startup tidak akan muncul lagi.

"fsutil" adalah utility untuk melakukan manajemen untuk drive PC, baik yg sistem filenya FAT atau NTFS.

Perintah "fsutil dirty query" akan melaporkan status "bersih" atau "tidak bersih" nya suatu drive. Kalo statusnya dirty, Windows akan melakukan proses scan setiap kali proses startup.
Perintah "chkdsk /f" akan memaksa Windows melakukan proses chkdsk, tanpa peduli status drive tujuan dirty atau tidak. Dengan perintah ini, chkdsk juga akan melakukan perbaikan pada error yang ada.
Perintah "chkdsk /f /x" hanya bisa dipakai disistem NTFS. Option /x akan memastikan setiap drive "terkunci" (dismount) sebelum proses chkdsk dilakukan.

**Kendali Cepat untuk Firewall pada Windows XP**

Jika anda sering mengaktifkan dan menonaktifkan firewall, maka cara cepat untuk melakukan hal tersebut adalah dengan cara membuat shortcut pada desktop. Ikuti langkah berikut ini :

* Ketik teks berikut dengan notepad dan simpan dengan nama file 'off.txt'

Anda tinggal mengopersikan perintah tersebut dengan mengklik ganda 'closeall.bat' pada
shortcut yang ada di desktop untuk menutup akses dari luar kedalam PC anda dan meng
klik ganda pada 'default.bat' untuk membatalkannya.

**Berpindah antar-jaringan dengan konfigurasi yang berbeda pada windows 2000 ke atas**

Mungkin anda sering menggunakan PC berpindah-pindah jaringan dengan konfigurasi jaringan yang berbeda. Cara cepat untuk mengganti setting jaringan setiap anda berpindah jaringan adalah sebagai berikut:

Masukkan semua settingan yang diperlukan untuk dapat terkoneksi ke jaringan (al : alamat IP, Subnet mask, Gateway dan server DNS) pada jaringan pertama.

Masuk ke command prompt ("start-programs-accessories-command prompt") ketik perintah berikut pada command prompt :
netsh -c interface dump>c:\windows\network1
(network1 adalah file untuk menyimpan setting jaringan pada setting jaringan pertama).

Masukkan semua settingan yang diperlukan untuk dapat terkoneksi ke jaringan (al : alamat IP, Subnet mask, Gateway dan server DNS) pada jaringan berikutnya/ jaringan yang kedua.

A Scientific Explanation of the Paranormal

If there is a scientific reason to the things we cannot explain. what is it? From the upper echelons of government. top academia and the respected scientific community right down to the myriad of spiritual groups, conspiracy-theorists and the media. the interest in finding ways and means to explain the unexplained has become heightened and extremely diverse. Though the media has portrayed the paranormal as truly strange phenomena that science may never explain, there are many scientific theories and experiments that do make sense of what is believable - and what is not.

In a quiet room, senior scientist Russell Targ got off the phone, wrote on a slip of paper and passed it on to Ingo Swann, artist, psychic and subject of a research project. On the paper was written '49°20'5, 70014T.

Swann looked at the numbers, closed his eyes and after awhile, said: "My initial response is that it's an island...Terrain seems rocky...! see some buildings rather mathematically laid out. One of them is orange. There is something like a radar antenna, a round disk. Two white cylindrical tanks, quite large. To the north-west, a small airstrip..." As he talked, Swann began to draw an island, annotating the coastline as he went and described natural and man-made features. By the time he was finished, Swann had given a good description of Kerguelen, a small French-administered island in the Southern Indian Ocean. (Russell Targ and Harold E Puthoff, MindReach, Delacourt Press 1977).

Unbelievable? Well, what you've just read is a paranormal experiment called 'remote viewing'. Being one of the more flamboyant episodes in the controversial science known as parapsychology, remote viewing was recently attempted by a questionable business outfit, called Psi Tech, to locate biological and chemical weapon depots in a third-world country. Though many dismissed the company as a crackpot, it's interesting to note that most of the principal employees of Psi Tech are high-ranking ex-military professionals with high-level security clearances.

Whether it's Ouija boards, ghosts or unidentified flying objects (UFOs), the paranormal has become an intriguing topic across all channels, because it transcends race, time, space and cultures to appear in guises and forms that are nearly as familiar as our superstitious beliefs. However, despite the fiery intensity and devotion of paranormal supporters (X-philes and Elvis-worshippers inclusive), scientists have their own 'versions' that explain the phenomena. Call it Paranormal Science, String Theory or Multi-dimensionalism, scientific explanations of the paranormal sometimes seem plausible and could explain the next step towards understanding ourselves.

The Quantum Theories that
Make Scientific Sense

Multi-dimensionalism
One very interesting theory that can be easily understood is the concept of multi-dimensionalism. According to this theory, human knowledge is limited to the phrase "I think, therefore I am". Quantum theory (in particular, the uncertainty principle) confirms that human knowledge must always be imperfect. This means that not only is our present scientific knowledge incomplete (because we don't know everything), but that we're also incapable of ever fully understanding the universe.

However, there are several reasons to suppose that life is more than a complex arrangement of physical matter brought about by chance (this would have been Frankenstein, not us). The first reason is that we want to survive as a species (a pure physical entity wouldn't really care). The second reason is that we have the freedom of will - to choose, to think, to speak. The third reason, is that throughout history, we have always felt a need to recognise the existence of supernatural forces through religion and mysterious phenomena. Some say this need arises from our fear of death, so we see life as containing something more than just a complicated configuration of fundamental particles. The 'more' is what some would call the 'soul' and others call the 'mind'.

It is believed that the mind doesn't conform to the Laws of any of these four dimensions; thus it's possible that the mind belongs to a fifth dimension. Life, then, is defined as an interaction between the mind and the other four dimensions, which takes place starting from birth and ending with physical death. Based on this, paranormal events are dimensional experiences. Clairvoyance (seeing into the future) is a cause in space and time producing an effect in the mind dimension, psychokinesis (moving objects from a distance) is a cause in the mind dimension producing an effect in space and time, and telepathy (communicating from afar), is an event in the mind dimension. The theory also suggests that ghosts, hauntings and psychometry (the ability to read an object's history by handling it), are but symbols of the mind dimension, which then recalls memories of what has been associated with that place or object. When the body dies, the mind remains in the mind dimension but the physical body stays in the physical universe. However, there is very little in this theory to explain in a scientific manner, how exactly the mind dimension interacts with the physical universe, which brings us to the unique but highly complex String Theory.

String Theory

String theory, being much more complicated, is called a 'theory of everything'. It attempts to give a mathematical picture relating all of the familiar physical forces within our universe, in the same way Newton's equations were derived from Einstein's and Maxwell's. It presents a mathematical picture of the relationships between forces, time and space. Though quantum mechanics explains what goes on at the atomic level, it is string theory that examines events at a sub-atomic level and ties them with those on a cosmic scale to explain the paranormal.

Several string theorists assert that although mainstream science cannot explain paranormal phenomena at the current moment, it doesn't mean that science should be dismissed right there and then. They believe that string theory is one of the more plausible theories of science that could explain the paranormal, and possibly open up unthinkable avenues for humankind such as interstellar travel.

From the outset, string theory views all particles as vibrating packets of energy - a one-dimensional point vibrating in a ten-dimensional space, whether at the sub-atomic or at a cosmic level. Before we touch on why this is so, let us first understand why the universe is tendimensional. According to the theory, the universe was ten-dimensional before the controversial but scientifically-approved Big Bang. The explosion caused an unstable foundation that fractured the universe into our current four dimensions and a six-dimensional universe that collapsed into a singularity. The six dimensions are believed to continue to exist, but they can never be visited as such.
Anyway, the rotation of the strings at a sub-atomic level is what gives rise to electromagnetism at the atomic level. Similar to the strings on a guitar or the pipes on a harpsichord, the vibrations can only occur at certain frequencies integers and half-integers (a fundamental tone and its harmonics). The strings can only vibrate at their fundamental frequencies and the harmonics cause discreet levels to exist. A transition from one level to another can only be associated with a finite step. This is similar in concept to the idea that photons (or packets of radiant energy) will be absorbed or emitted when an electron jumps from one level to another. When such a transition occurs, the electron stops vibrating within our universe and temporarily phases out of our existence. This helps explain some of the paranormal phenomenon in great detail.

Take UFOs for instance, it is easy to accept the fact that huge distances between stars make travelling between them impractical using conventional space flight (it takes 20 years to leave our own solar system). There were accounts and supposed footage of an antigravity craft tested at "Area 51" in Nevada - the craft looks like a flying bedstead-type machine. The footage showed strange shimmering optical effects around the areas of the propulsion units, which could mean something about the vibrating energy based on string theory.

Ghosts and Spirits
Scientists agree that we exist in a perceived 'three dimension - plus time' universe. This means that we have a representation, an existence of sorts, in these higher dimensions. Everything in our universe has expressions and inter relationships on these higher dimensions. This also means that events that happened in the past or future from our perspective exist at these times only in our dimension, while existing either 'at all times' or 'without time' in other dimensions. Scientists believe that ghosts could be echoes of past or future events held in a higher dimension but resonating within our own universe. Actions, thoughts and emotions could have a continuity of their own on one dimension and cast an echo back into ours.

Another study suggests that poltergeist experiences (a ghost or spirit supposedly makes its presence known by making noises or throwing things) could be a manifestation of mental disturbances from people. T. Cochran, who wrote the book, The Real Ghost Busters (Omni, 1988), studied a poltergeist experience of the' Herrmann family in Seaford, New York, where they heard loud, explosive sounds and objects that were mysteriously moved or broken. Cochran suspected that individuals experiencing rage or hostility might be more susceptible to poltergeist activities than others. This is an example that there might indeed be a correlation between one's personality (feelings or thoughts) and paranormal behaviour.

Aliens and UFOs
In 1995, Fox Television featured an hourlong special on what was termed an 'Alien Autopsy' documentary. The actual video was 17 minutes long but only 13.5 minutes were aired in broken sections. The rest of the time was filled with experts' testimony on the authenticity of the film. When skeptic filmmakers and scientists spoke, they were given very little time to comment and were quickly countered. It was later discovered that the video was a fraud because basic observations of the video showed that the doctor in the film held his dissection scissors wrongly and that the autopsy was done too quickly. Beyond just notes on a single piece of paper, care was not taken to properly document the procedure. Yet, throughout the 13.5-minute long feature, audiences were glued to their televisions, believing the entire thing, until truth of the fraud came out. Unlike The X-Files, which fans admit is purely fiction, pseudodocumentaries are often perceived as non-fiction. The media's portrayal of the paranormal and its bias against hard, factual scientific delivery has affected the perceptions of the world population in more ways than one. Of course, the greatest media sensationalism in terms of paranormal coverage is the reporting of aliens and UFOs.

According to Matt Nisbet:, who conducted and reported a survey published in the Skeptical Enquirer (1998), the percentage of the population believing paranormal claims has increased significantly over the last two decades. Between the years 1976 and 1997, belief in spiritualism went up 40 per cent, faith healing up 35 per cent:, astrology up 20 per cent:, UFOs up six per cent, reincarnation up 16 per cent and fortune-telling soared 10 per cent (margin of error was +/- 3 to 4 per cent).

It has been reported that close to ten million UFO landings must have taken place, based on the percentage of abduction reports gathered so far. Communion author Whitley Strieber claims to have received 250,000 letters describing 'fourth-kind' encounters with 'visitors' in his 1987 bestseller.

Many scientists believe that UFO abduction experiences are closely linked with either Near-Death Encounters (NDE) or a sub-category called Frightening Near-Death Encounters (FNDE). While some professors believe that aliens do exist ("and that they've conquered us and are living among us"), others believe that a sinister alliance exists between the aliens and the US military. Some even claim that the military is fabricating an entire "UFO alien mythology" as a cover-up for a highly secretive experiment that has to do with places like the aforementioned 'Area 51', abductions and animal mutilations.

Non-documented evidence aside, some questions that make the idea of alien abduction sound disbelieving are: 'Why do they need to abduct so many people when they must have lots of our genetic material by now?', 'Why have they been visiting us for so long?' and 'If so many of their crafts crashed, why do they always seem to crash in a desert in New Mexico (and not lake Toba or Beijing)? Until an actual UFO is shown and publicly demonstrated to the world for examination and experimentation, their existence remains questionable.

Extrasensory Perception (ESP)
Based on R.S. Broughton's 1991 book called Parapsychology: A Controversial Science, ESP is basically the ability to receive information without using the ordinary senses of the body or local interference. It includes behaviours like telepathy and clairvoyance. Scientists have often claimed ESP as an act of mere coincidence. One British statistician, Christopher Scott, went on to prove this by calculating how often death dreams (where a person dreams of his own death) come true. He assumes that each person has only one death dream in his lifetime and works out how often that should coincide with the death of the person. After studying how many people die each night, even in a small country like England, Christopher concluded that this startling coincidence will happen once every two weeks. Now each occurrence is pure chance, but people will almost certainly believe this is psychic - because they still want to believe.

Susan Blackmore, senior lecturer in psychology at the University of the West of England, attests that the reason why so many of us believe in the paranormal is because we are implicitly saying that it could not have been chance. "Of all the chance events that happen in our lives, we are likely to remember the strange coincidences and forget the meaningless ones. So the strange ones appear to happen more often than they really do. We start to look for an explanation, cannot find one, and so we call it paranormal. But actually, no explanation was ever required. The perfectly normal processes of chance and memory led us astray:' she says.

Her analysis extended to out-of-body experiences and the myth that people close to death fly through a dark tunnel to emerge into 'the light'. She feels that despite their differences from simpler subjects like telepathy, psychokinesis and precognition, these two are still not necessarily paranormal.

"To understand out-of-body experiences means understanding our normal way of seeing the world," she says. "Normally, we imagine that we are ourselves inside our heads looking out. In fact this is a mental construction. There is no little person in there. Our brains are constructing a model of the world from a viewpoint behind the eyes. The question then: why should I suddenly seem to see the world from somewhere on the ceiling instead, like from a bird's eye view?" Susan's analysis holds some truth in that many people see themselves through a bird's eye view to ease the brain from stressfully constructing things from an eye-level perspective. Recent experiments showed that people who have out-of-body experiences have better spatial imagery skills, better viewpointswitching abilities and are more likely to see themselves in their dreams.

As for near-death experiences involving dark tunnels leading to the light. Susan feels that the brain's visual system has far more nerve cells devoted to the centre of our visual field rather than the edges. When the brain starts to die (or falls into a state such as a coma), the first cells to be affected are the inhibitory ones, which damp down the activity of other cells. This means that there will be lots of activity in the centre and less towards the edges. The result would generate a bright light in the centre that gets bigger and bigger as the activity increases, in other words, light at the end of a tunnel.

Other psychologist-mentalists believe that ESP is no coincidence and that there is a connection, on a scientific level, between a person's personality and an ESP experience. For years researchers have sought to prove that paranormal belief is linked to certain personality characteristics such as dogmatism, locus of control and sensation seeking. In their 1991 book, A Study of Paranormal Belief, Magical Ideation as an Index of Schizotypy and Cognitive Style, L.M. Williams and H.J. Irwin wrote that there's a possibility that people could be affected by religious teachings, circumstances or desires, that may cause them to experience paranormal behaviours (such as ESP).

Another researcher, J. Glicksohn, went a step further to prove that there is in fact a correlation between paranormal beliefs and certain personality traits or performances.

Glicksohn formed two groups: one believing in the possibility of ESP and one of disbelievers. According to Glicksohn's study, belief in the possibility of ESP affected the ability to exercise it. This type of behaviour, in which people who believe in paranormal events perform better than individuals who don't. is known as the 'Shynes Effect', as coined by J. Randi in The Humanist in 1984. According to Randi, the Shynes Effect states that psychic events tend not to happen when they are closely observed, and skepticism and negativity interfere with the obtaining of positive psychic results. Glicksohn also discovered two personality traits that directly support the paranormal: experience seeking and absorption. This means that a person's belief in the paranormal is drawn to ideas that go beyond scientific explanation. As V.K. Kumar, R.J. Pekala and J. Cummins summed it in their 1993 book on Sensation Seeking, Drug Use and Reported Paranormal Beliefs and Experience - people would rather believe in something exciting and mysterious than accept "normative belief".

The Bermuda Triangle and The Philadelphia Experiment
One of the most unbelievable scientific experiments frequently mentioned among paranormal enthusiasts is the philadelphia Experiment (or Project Rainbow), that allegedly happened in the fall of 1943. A US Navy destroyer by the name of USS Eldridge (or USS Ethridge ), was made invisible and teleported from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Norfolk, Virginia. Though no documents of any kind were found, the ship's war diary charted Eldridge's course beginning in New York, then onto Bermuda and finally to Norfolk. During this time frame, it was never in Philadelphia.

Anyway, the Office of Naval Research (ONR) has stated that force fields to make a ship and her crew invisible do not conform to known physical laws. The ONR also claimed that the application of Dr. Albert Einstein's Unified Field Theory, by Dr. Fra nklin Reno, was never completed (many point to this as a cover-up of this secret weapon development). However, some researchers have concluded that 'degaussing' has a connection with making an object 'invisible'. In degaussing, a series of electrical cables is installed around the circumference of a ship's hull, running from bow to stern on both sides. A measured electrical current is passed through these cables to cancel out the ship's magnetic field. Degaussing equipment was installed on the hull of Navy ships during the war and could be turned on whenever the ship was in waters that contained magnetic mines. According to researchers, degaussing, when correctly done, could make a ship 'invisible' to the sensors of magnetic mines, but visible to the human eye, radar and underwater listening devices. Paranormal enthusiasts, on the other hand, believe it has something to do with the Bermuda Triangle...

Famous and credible UFO researcher, Jacques F. Vallee, finally uncovered the real truth behind the Philadelphia Experiment (there are still some people who want to discount him). In a 1994 article he wrote for the Journal of Scientific Exploration entitled "Anatomy of a Hoax: The Philadelphia Experiment 50 Years Later", Vallee discovered that the entire story was the insane crusade of one man – Carl Allen, a somewhat brilliant but very disturbed human being. Apparently, Allen claimed he witnessed the disappearance of a ship, seeing some Eldridge crew members disappear into thin air. Allen was proven to have fabricated the entire story because Edward Dudgeon, a surviving crew member of the U.S.S. Engstrom, reportedly told Vallee that the ship did leave the port but not disappear. The night he stepped out of a bar at 11pm, Dudgeon said that the Eldridge wasn't at the harbour. Many felt that this was odd and that it would be impossible for the ship to traverse the coastline, get to Norfolk and return in just six hours. A merchant ship would take two days to do so. It was later found out that the ship had used a special inland channel - the Chesapeake-Delaware Canal - to sail from Philadelphia to Norfolk and back.
Sometimes science does not need to explain the paranormal. Simple logic may put an urban legend to rest. In a world where frontiers are conquered and mysteries become dull and boring, it is interesting to learn of unexplored realms. Science is driven by a fascination with the unexplained, but the moment an answer is reached, the general public loses interest. It becomes old news. It is thus true that when science cannot answer a question, the human need for the spiritual is fulfilled. Though it can hurt when the spiritual (say, the dog that can talk) is shot down by science (no there's a robot-recorder in its larynx), the media almost always wants to believe in it and give people stories of wonder and hope.

Add VA requirements for all components. To find VA(VOLT-AMPS), find the Voltage and Amperage requirements for each piece of equipment. These numbers should be on a sticker on the back or bottom of the equipment. Then multiply the numbers together:

VA = Volts x Amperes

If your components are measured in Watts, then multiply the number of Watts by 1.4:
