Staples: Have You Seen This? [[Scotch Tape Dispenser]]

I'm not very good at walking in heels. Flats I'm fine in, but heels, well, I walk very slowly in them. Or I try to walk quickly and get the heel stuck in the sidewalk [[oh, ask Pete about our first date and he'll let you know]].

I always call heels "big girl shoes." So now, you can have a big girl shoe tape dispenser.

I was in Staples and saw this for $9.99. It doesn't even come with tape, so it's not worth it if you ask me. But if you wanna channel your inner Elle Woods while you're at work, this is worth every penny.

Has anyone else stumbled over this?

The lines at the Redbox kiosk are ridiculous. We tend to reserve our movies online and not spend minutes browsing through the movies that are available. I think Redbox knows this might create some frustrations with their costumers and they want to encourage you to try reserving your rentals online.

Between February 26 and March 1 you can reserve a video game online and get the first night free. Somewhere in the background I heard my husband say: who wants to play a video game for one day? That might be just him.

Kmart: Get Your Flu Shot

This year was the first time I've ever gotten the flu shot. I got sick quite a bit last year, and my job was offering them, so I figured what the heck. And, you know what, I actually think it's helping. Yeah, there are days when I feel like I'm coming down with something, but I haven't come down with anything. Last year, I came down with everything, and there was only one week between Halloween and Easter where I wasn't blowing my nose and popping aspirin like candy.

If you haven't gotten a flu shot, you might wanna think about heading to Kmart to get one. The big box store tweeted, @KmartDeals Get a flu shot at your local Kmart Pharmacy for only $15. Now through 6/30/12; while supplies last!.

If you get sick a lot, $15 is a lot less than you'll pay for tissues, meds, doctor's copay, etc. So definitely keep it in mind.

Seems to me like they learned from that experience. They waited until the free after ECB sale at CVS to release this high value coupon.

It's snowed twice in New York this winter, and once was that freak Halloween snowstorm. Technically that's still fall, so maybe it doesn't count.

But according to Target, winter is over. At least, half over.

See, I was in Target, and all cold winter accessories -- gloves, hats, scarves -- were 50% off. Those cute striped gloves were down to $1.48. At the rate I lose one glove, that's a good price to stock up.

Please, tell me I'm not the only one who has a bunch of matchless gloves. The one-legged elf that steals my socks probably takes my gloves.

Saturday Sample: Julep Nail Vernis [[Oscar Edition]]

I'm in Florida right now. And here, it's flip flop weather. Jealousy alert: It's 79 degrees right now and I'm writing this as I'm sitting at the pool.

I don't mean to rub it in [[that much]], but I'm from New York where snow is usually the weather pattern of choice in February. So right now, when I can sit in shorts and enjoy the sunshine, well, I'm almost jealous of myself.

The only downfall -- and, I mean, very slight downfall -- is that my toenails cannot be naked anymore. They've been living in socks and shoes and slippers the last few months, so they haven't been exposed. No reason to pretty them up. But right now, now that they're out and saying hello to everyone I walk by, well, they need some polish.

So how incredibly lucky was I that the entire brand spankin' new Julep Oscar collection, this week's Saturday Sample, was delivered to me in Florida. And just in the nick of time.

There are seven polishes in the collection, which retails for $74 via Julep's site -- Glenn [[a bold berry red shimmer]]; Meryl [[the perfect natural, sophisticated gray crème]]; Viola [[deepest dark purple crème]]; Rachel [[warm rich copper shimmer]]; Marisa [[dark, rich cobalt blue shimmer]]; Elizabeth [[midnight blue with a hint of shimmer]]; and Oscar [[a 3-D gold glitter]].

Each of those is grandma after a woman who was honored at the awards over the years, except for Oscar, which is pretty obvious where that name came from. My grandma immediately gravitated towards Meryl, which makes logical sense in my head [[because, well, I thought Meryl Streep was the closest to my grandma's age ... until I actually looked it up and found out that Glenn Close is older]]. I fell in love with Marisa as soon as I saw the collection [[just like most people fell in love with Marisa Tomei instantly in My Cousin Vinny]].

The other three, well, I'm confused about their namesakes, to be honest. Rachel, I'm guessing, is Rachel McAdams [[who I just saw in The Vow, so maybe that's why she's on my mind]]. Elizabeth Banks is my first guess for Elizabeth, although Elizabeth Taylor comes up a very close second [[and, really, that's probablly the better of my guesses]] . And Viola, well, that has to be Viola Davis from The Help because, if not, I have no idea who the color is named for.

I loved the way Marisa painted my now flip flopped toes. I was shocked at how I only needed one coat. The polish was actually a lot deeper than the bottle led me to imagine. It is a beautiful deep blue that perfectly matches the flip flops I've got on as I write this.

I really like Viola, the deep purple color is perfect for these winter months. Plus, I have a purple dress that I've worn a few times and never had a perfectly matching polish. That's all changed now that Viola has come into my life.

Glenn is the brightest in the collection, a stark opposite of Elizabeth. Elizabeth claims to be midnight blue and is a reminder that it's very dark at midnight. It doesn't mesh with how I'm feeling now, suntanning and all, but when I get back to snowville, this may become my new fave.

My mom opted for Oscar. She couldn't get away with one coat on her nails. I actually think it was supposed to be used as a top coat, but I didn't tell her that. She put on a second coat, and it was much more even and you could definitely see the gold flakes. She told me it was really hard to evenly distribute the gold flakes, and I'm guessing that's exactly how the Oscars go. It's really hard to decide who the best is. You want to be fair, you want to evenly distribute the gold trophies and let everyone and every picture be recognized. But that's not always the case. Sometimes that's just not possible.

Seems this nail polish collection is a lot more fitting than you originally thought.

The Oscars air tomorrow night and, well, you're definitely gonna wanna stop by Drugstore Divas tomorrow. I can't tell you why just yet [[that will ruin the surprise]] but I can tell you that this post is a huge hint.
