When people speak about dreams it bothers me internally. I was taught when I was younger, nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream, so a dream was never part of my thought process it was always goals. I despise dreamers with a passion because dreaming is a form of wishing, which holds no action ability within the concept.

Graduating from Full sail University started out as a dream to me when I was a tenth grader in high school. I continuously contacted the school for more information; I was told there was no financial aid available. I was miserable because my mother was pressuring me to go to college but it wasn’t visible in my lane of life at the time, unless it was full sail University.

Growing up in Columbus Ohio was quite of an interesting experience. I lost a lot of my friends to death or the penitentiary at a young age, due to gang and criminal activity. These events gave me inspiration to follow my intuition to achieve my goals. I found an outlet through creative content, to release stress and tension off my chest, though music.

I chose to leave the city and attend a historical black college, Central State University to escape the madness that was surrounding me inside the inner city.

Then a drastic change occurred in my life, which will never be forgotten. I was performing my music at a local club in Columbus, and seen a individual who actually shot one of my childhood friends right in front of me, At the time I was a young and did not think much. I proceeded to approach the man in anger, not knowing he was carrying a gun, he pulled it out and tried to shoot me in the head. Some how I manage to block the bullet from my head, with my hand.

This experience prepared me to follow goals instead of dreams. I’ve become more humble and more ambitious than I’ve ever been, in a blink of an eye I could have ended up another name on the list of homicides in Columbus. But my purpose is greater than I can begin to image I believe GOD will allow me to be everything I want to be through him, and I will be successful and a legend due to my works and passions.

3 Alternative Funding Sources for Business

The world of business is a very broad industry with individuals all around the globe who has intentions of become successful. Great ideas can only become a successful business with the appropriate funding and guidance from an expert. The majority of business entrepreneurs are in debt with the government due to past endeavors that life has presented to them. There are three alternatives from funding sources that can take your business to the next level if you have a good idea or passion for something in particular.

The first alternative for funding would be royalty lending. In royalty lending process the money is returned when your business starts to create revenue. Instead a fixed payment plan you will pay back to the investor the loan is paid back when the company becomes successful. This idea is great for companies that will be during a certain season that has unexpected revenue gains. It allows the owner of the company to have 100%. On the flip side of royalty lending would be instant debt that can last a long period of time, the outcome can be a pro or con to your company.

The second alternative for funding would be crowd funding. In this matter there would be multiple investors you would present your business plan to who are not certified investors. Crowd funding is similar to your friends or family giving you financial backing for your company. The flip side to crowd funding is the amount of money you can raise may be limited.

The third alternative for funding would be sock loans, which is based on the quality of the sock. Your business may be in devastating condition but if stocks are profitable the loan will be approved. You will be giving up stock in your company so when revenue picks up within the company it will be directly transferred in the lenders bank account, But if you lose stock, which was invested in by the lenders then you may be carried with tax ramifications.

OPRAH & TRUMP- INSIDE THE BUSINESS

Oprah Winfrey and Donald Trump are two of the most successful entrepreneurs in business today. They both have been through trial and tribulations in life, which led them to financial greatness. Both individuals are business oriented an have given essential advice to potential business owners.

Oprah Winfrey spoke on the importance of having intellectual people around you to achieve high results. I intend to incorporate this in my business plan by not selecting friends, but people with the same vision as me. I have a problem with helping others when I should focus on my main goals. In the same thought those individuals I help will not return the same actions, when I need it. This can be a drastic fall for my business if I continue to cater to those less ambitious than me. The changes I have made in my business plan upon Winfrey statement will be my staffing. My staffing will be limited upon request due to start up, and equipment cost. I will only hire people who can intellectually help me take the company to the next level, with the proper expertise and passion.

Donald Trump gave excellent advice to potential business owners when writing a business plan. Trump understands how far a good idea could go with the proper plan behind it. He stresses that a solo practitioners will be the worst off in this situation, and a solo practitioner I am. I will review my actual plan so I understand it thoroughly, and can explain to an investor to understand quickly and clearly. The changes I have made to my plan, is to keep it realistic and reachable. I cut my start up cost, and added more product lines to generate profit easier and quicker as well.

Duboole OO Visions business plan will be ready for investors December 2012. The most important sections in my business plan are the company descriptions and marketing plan. The company’s description will grab the investor, through morals and intentions of the company; it will describe the social need for the company’s service. The marketing plan will diverse me from other similar business because the structure is unorthodox.

When you think of the world of business, there are two names exceptionally accepted Donald trump and Oprah Winfrey. Both individuals have acquired a lifestyle, people only see in their dreams, but income comes from within of a business mind.

Oprah Winfrey is from Mississippi, in a fairly poor neighborhood, which she later moved to Milwaukie with her mother as a single parent. Winfrey witnessed terrible times growing up, she was raped at fourteen years old and lost the baby as an infant. At seventeen years old Winfrey won The Miss Black Tennessee beauty pageant, and was offered an on-air radio job at WVOL. Mrs. Winfrey moved to Baltimore to join WJZ-TV as a news anchor she found her niche that matched her personality, through helping people with life struggles. After the word spread around the country about this phenomenal individual, she was later offered her own show, which was based in Chicago Illinois called, The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Donald Trump was born in Manhattan; New York his father was a real estate developer who built middle-income apartments in Queens, New York. Donald was a very assertive child; he was an athlete, also a lady’s man. He went to attend Fordham University, transferred to Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania and ended with an economics degree. Soon after graduating he dived directly in his fathers footsteps, real state, then ownership to casinos, hotels, apartment buildings. Donald Trump became a very successful businessman.

Donald trump gives some interesting advise for business plans writers to become successful. Donald says “ Solo practitioners are probably the worst off not having a plan because it will fail with out one”. He expresses this key by saying, “ It’s easy to become distracted, or find the newest thing to promote with out a direction from a business plan.

Oprah’s also gives some vital information to business plan writers; she says, “Monitor your progress”. This is key, to surround your self around teammates who will help you grow as a person, as well in knowing your goals and progress achievements. They will keep you on track, so you stay consistent within your business guidelines.

"Get right Or Get Left 2" Helps The Evolution Of Hip Hop

The music industry has been evolving for years, and will continue in the near future. Music consumers who were born between the 1950s and 1980s have been devastated through the evolution of music. Musicians have also noticed a change and are struggling to bring the exciting feeling back to music consumers. Nas, one of Hip Hop’s elite hip hop artists, named his mix tape “Hip Hop is dead” that brought a lot of controversy to the music industry’s platform. I also noticed a change, as an artist myself. Growing up listening to Tupac Shakur, OutKast, Nas, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and etc. it’s not the same culture as it was ten years ago.

The Hip Hop music that was formerly produced was informative towards politics, history, and community development, and also referred to real life situations that the artist had been faced with. The more recent music, that the younger generation are producing, are focusing on drugs, violence, sex, and portraying a lavish life style that is intriguing to young individuals, who take the wrong actions to imitate what they hear, and see on TV. This usually results in death or prison time for adolescence, from artist speaking on events that never happened in their actual life. It seems record labels thrust off negative music material because it sells records: which is the goal for most entertainment companies.

My thoughts behind the reasons are, artist nowadays lack positivity and meaning within lyrics. Back then you could pick up a EPMD album, or KRS one album, and know what to do, and what not to do, growing up in a hostile environment. Now, in 2012, our Hip Hop leaders are Rick Ross, Soulja Boy, and etc. that take hip-hop to different level. They express their experience from rags to riches, but also paint a fraudulent picture of experiences they have been through. Dubole OO visions, my Entertainment Company, will only produce real life situations and outcomes of life’s tribulations that actually happened. My up and coming mix tape will bring old school music consumers to their feet, and give the young generation hope, debuting in November. “Get Right Or Get Left 2”will be the answerer for the younger generation. My music will be informative, positive, quality music, coming from drugs, violence, and bullet wounds, to conquering college and receiving my masters. I will deliver a sincere message to individuals who grew up in the same environment as I did, and give them options, to not become a statistic.

HIP-HOP'S BEEF

What happened to the Hip-Hop community? Rappers have been feuding with each other for quite sometime now, and situations are starting to get out of hand. We all know what altercations can lead to; just look at the fatal shootings of two of hip-hop’s greatest, Tupac Shakur (2Pac) and Christopher Wallace (Notorious B.I.G).

The industry is still being surround by negativity amongst artists. Instead of coming together and creating a positive music for consumers, they are arguing over opinions and women; it’s quite unprofessional. The latest hip-hop beef is between two rappers from Chicago named Lupe Fiasco (30) and Chief Keef (17). Obviously you can see a huge age difference between the two, so what seems to be the problem? Chief Keef is a new artist who just inked a deal with Interscope Records. His target audience is geared towards the streets, in what we would call “Gangster Rap”. Lupe Fiasco first appeared on the Hip-Hop scene back in 2006 when he was discovered by Jay-Z and landed a roster spot on Atlantic Records. Lupe Fiasco’s target market is completely different from Chief Keef’s, as Lupe represents skateboarders and delivers an optimistic vibe to his fans through promoting positivity and hope.

So what happened to cause the ruckus? The beef started from a radio interview, when Lupe expressed his feelings by saying, “Chief Keef scares me. Not him specifically, but the culture that he represents”. He explained how the viciousness put in Hip-Hop lyrics today is affecting communities everywhere. Being that he has little brothers and nephews who live in this environment, he doesn’t want to see them become victims to that promoted violence. Chief Keef was furious by this comment, as he was under the impression that Lupe Fiasco was trying to tarnish his career. Keef tweeted to Lupe upon hearing about the interview that he was going to physically assault him next time they met.

This comment sent shock waves through the music industry. I agree with Lupe’s opinion because it’s true; music does raise the crime rate in some situations. He could have worded the comment differently, but I believe Chief Keef’s choice of words were steep. He’s only 17 years old and has plenty room for improvement with the help of his elders, but it needs to happen soon before we have another tragedy on our hands. Unfortunately, the Hip-Hop industry is only geared to make profit. Things like community and youth development are never truly addressed like they should be because they don’t provide a revenue stream. In fact, tragic situations such as 2Pac and Biggie and feuds like that of Lupe and Keef have gained the industry more attention than not. Because of this, sadly, I don’t see violence and crime rates among current and aspiring Hip-Hop artists to go anywhere but up. Source

COURT CASES: IN THE HIP HOP INDUSTRY

Court cases have swarmed the music industry. An entertainment or production company involves a lot of specific ingredients that are vital to run appropriately, and a lack of knowledge about necessary business components can bring a company down quickly. This especially applies in regards to precautions involving the law. For example, Rostrum Records recording artist Mac Miller

was recently sued by Lord Finesse (producer) for $10 million for copyright infringement, unfair competition, unjust enrichment, interference and deceptive trade practice. Miller was accused of using one of Lord Finesse’s beats that launched Mac’s career. Finesse also included Datpiff.com, a downloadable mix tape website, to the defendant pool for unlawfully allowing Miller’s mix tape to be uploaded and downloaded. I personally understand both parties in this situation. As an artist myself, it’s easy to receive a beat and put lyrics to it, not knowing whether or not it has a copyright. I feel Mac was naïve to the fact that he would become a national recording artist at the time of the song’s release, and may have not been educated on some of the music business pitfalls. Lord Finesse, in my opinion, is old, running out of money, or craving attention. That being said the law is the law and should be handled as such. Pastor Troy

is an Atlanta-based rapper who has been on the rap scene for quite some time. He was recently sued for breaching a contract with his promoter, who wants compensated for costs from radio promotions, venue rental, security, and DJ services for a concert that Pastor Troy backed out on at the last minute. Troy claims that the performance was held at a club where he has had a history of violence and didn’t feel comfortable performing at the venue, and decided to back out even after he signed the contract. I feel this was a misunderstanding between Pastor Troy’s manager and the promoter concerning the location of the concert, along with Pastor Troy’s acknowledgment. This conversation should have been a three-way meeting before the contract was signed, but the law is the law and should be handled as such. New Orleans-based rapper Lil Wayne

was released from prison earlier this year after serving time for a weapons charge relating to a handgun found on one of his entourage members in New York City. Lil Wayne was out of his jurisdiction. It turns out the handgun was registered in Florida to Wayne and not the carrier. This northern state has strict gun laws; Wayne was sentenced to nine months behind bars. I understand why Lil Wayne carries a weapon because he collects a lot of cash while attending to his itinerary while touring on the road. I feel that if you’re an internationally known superstar you should have the proper security. You don’t have to carry a weapon if appointed security is well armed.

Music is a way of life; it motivates every individual through melodies and instruments, lyrics and rhythm. In order to process the appropriate music you have to develop a passion for the art and also develop a strong team of supporters that will guide you through your career. In that strong following is an artist manager, which handles all the artist technical work that coincides with recording and performing. As an artist myself I never accumulated a manager, I always seem to be surrounded by people who talk about taking action rather than actually physically taking action of a great opportunity. In my career as an artist I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to be in the studio with some of my favorite artist Lil Wayne, T.I and Chris brown just to name a few. Joining cash money records recording artist Bow-wow on tour was one of the best experiences, I got to see how a manager and artist deal with each other first hand. While I was in the presents of bow wow wherever he was doing movies, TV show appearances, or interviews his manager was constantly sending him beats from a famous producers, and booking him studio time to any high class recording studio in the area, so he stayed on top of his craft. It made me wonder how was he paying for the studio time, how was the company befitting off providing recording services to an artist who sold millions of records? I know one day me and my manager will be a successful dynamic duo between the both of our ambition and work ethic will be epic. I have recently release my second official mix tape under the title "Get Right Or Get Left"

Money makes the world go round! Money makes people greedy, steal, and kill! It's all apart of the game, the music game that is. People want the money and the fame so bad they will do anything for it. Once you get the money people come from everywhere trying to be in your circle but when I get my money I plan to take care ok of the ones who helped me out when I was down if you weren’t there helping me in my time of need, or when I was grinding to get on top then I’m not helping you. The rapper MC Hammer skyrocket to fame with his 1990 album “Please Mc Hammer Don’t Hurt Em. He did not pay 100,000 dollars to to the IRS and 500,000 dollars to his lawyer and 500,000 to Deion Sanders who was a friend and gave him a loan. A lot of entertainers sports moguls are faced with these conditions, that may have there consumers and fans puzzled from the actions that has taken place. Michael Jackson has been reported at various times to be in a financial crisis. If an artist is not aware were there money is being transferred then he/ or she should be apart of his or her own management team. An article discussed the phenomenal performance from a hip-hop legend, Tupac Shakur that is deceased. The article mentions the performance as if were real, the response that the performance developed was mind blowing and the presents of Tupac was brought back to life. This is a breakthrough in the entertainment industry, technology is progressing everyday opening new door for successors. This opens the doors for past legends that need recognition and will satisfy their fans in an electrifying way. Music consumers will be quick to buy a ticket of one of their favorite artist who's deceased, than buying a new artist ticket, and seeing them in person. Holographic performances are a form of reincarnation towards the artist it gives the fans a sense of comfort to see artist who can never perform again, perform. This aspect will help the entertainment industry form major profit margins, more ticket sells, and a lot more publicity, but it starts from the family of the deceased first. For example if Afeni Shakur (Tupac's mother) had the feeling that she didn’t want her son to be portrayed in that sense then this performance would have never happened. Steve Jobs spoke at an Stanford University graduation ceremony where he told them his stories of his life, what happened and how it changed him into a better person. He began to tell the story about when he was conceived his biological mother put him up for adoption but the people that was going to adopt him wanted a girl, so they found his new parents but the only way they could have him was if they promised that he went to college because they were not college graduate. So they gave him their life savings for him to go to college, and it drained them so he dropped out and just dropped in on the classes he thought were interesting to him. His aim for this story was to connect the dots he took classes that met his ambition in life he wasn’t scared to jump into a new situation and do what he loved to do. Every choice he made came to help him in the future to success. Steve Jobs is the perfect example of hard working he explains how he was fired from a company he created that never influenced him to give up. He stated that life will hit you with a brick many times, but always keep faith and working on your passion. He also speaks deeply on a issue of death. He explains and encourages many people to look in the mirror and say if I died today will I want to be doing what im doing and if your answer is no, you need to re-evaluate your passion in life. What I learned from Steve Jobs speech personally gave me an very electrifying sense of energy. He gave me a direction opening that I could take my life. He gave me hope that I can be rejected and that rejection will be the fuel to my ambition to do something even better than my first idea. Steve Jobs is the perfect example of people overcoming adversity through technology. He influenced a huge impact toward my inner self to hold no bars, and work hard at what I believe in, and not worry about anyone opinions. Just your love for whatever it is you want to do. Many artist have different descriptions for their caliber of music, for example you have "Gansta Rap" were mostly violence, sex and drugs are mentioned in a vulgar way, one particular group that birthed the style was "NWA". In addition you have "Political Rap" were artist focus on politics addressing problems in society, that’s the government responsibility, perfect group was "Public Enemy". Another rap category is "Alternative Rap" This is were music becomes fun there’s no degrading women or violence just catchy hooks and songs that can be liked by any genre of music artist in this category would include "Kanye West, Outkast, De La Soul" The newest addition to the list would be "Crunk" music. Developed in the 1990s, it is dance music crunk coming from the words "crazy, and "drunk" this has reached clubs all around the world. With its heavy drum patterns and the repeated shouting of a phrase as become very popular, the inventers of the style was the group called "Lil Jon and the Eastside boyz" out of Atlanta, Georgia. DUB's music description is very distinct line between political and an alternative point of view. My first official mix tape labeled " If It Aint Hot It Aint Banging" referred to the streets on a first had bases. After leaving my motherhouse when I was sixteen years old I developed a quick mentality towards survival in the worst situations. I have been blessed with a talent that I would not take for granted, meaning i will not feed my fans with nonsense lingo that just catches everyone’s attention, without a message being taught. I have been through a lot of trials and tribulations in my life, and i would want anyone to experience the same thing if it can be avoided. UH HUH!!!!!!! As you know I am an aspiring artist from Columbus Ohio, I have collaborated with a host of major artist from bow Wow ( cash money records) Block ( Block music group) short dawg (YMCMB). As founder and CEO of Dubole O Visions, my official entertainment company, partnership with Block Music Group, sponsored by bully bling energy drink, we have a lot of up coming events. On February 26th Block Music Group sponsored a wheelchair basketball game. With in the non-profit organization "Making a Change Foundation", which gave encouragement to a lot of disabled children who wish to join in a sports program. This month we have a event called "Its Back to the basics" which is a live music show case to display all music genres around the music globe. The event will takes place Thursday March 22nd at the Taste, a restaurant downtown Orlando. The surprise performance by Obama came at the end of the playlist when the blues ensemble was singing "Sweet Home Chicago," the blues anthem of Obama's home town.

Buddy Guy prodded the president, saying he'd heard that the president sang part of an Al Green tune recently, and adding, "You gotta keep it up."

Then Jagger handed over the mic, and Obama seemed compelled to comply.

"Come on, baby don't you want to go," the president sang out twice, handing off the mic to B.B. King momentarily, and then taking it back to tack on "Sweet Home Chicago" at the end.

That was how Obama ended the night.

This was how he began it: Obama said sometimes there are downsides to being the president. You can't just go for a walk, for example.

And then there are the times that more than make up for all those frustrations, he said, like Tuesday night, when Jagger, King, Jeff Beck and other musical giants came by the house to sing the blues.

"I guess things even out a little bit," Obama joked at the start of a rollicking East Room concert that was electrified by Jagger and the rest.

"This music speaks to something universal," Obama declared. "No one goes through life without both joy and pain, triumph and sorrow. The blues gets all of that, sometimes with just one lyric or one note. "

King, 86, arrived in a wheelchair but rose tall to kick off the night with a raucous "Let the Good Times Roll," quickly joined by other members of the ensemble. And he followed with "The Thrill is Gone."

From there, Obama and his wife, Michelle, were swaying in their seats and singing along to an all-hits playlist including "St. James Infirmary" and "Let Me Love You."

Beck slowed things down with an instrumental "Brush With the Blues," as anticipation built for the arrival of Jagger, who did not disappoint.

The longtime Rolling Stones frontman delivered on "I Can't Turn You Loose" and then teamed up with Beck on "Commit a Crime." Jagger got the president and his wife up out of their seats, swaying and clapping to the music, and picked up the pace with "Miss You," performed with Shemekia Copeland and Susan Tedeschi.

Obama was clearly savoring the moment, closing his eyes at times and nodding his head as he lip-synced the words.

The president rose at the end to introduce the ensemble as the "White House Blues All-Stars" for the final song of the night, "Sweet Home Chicago."

"For Michelle and me," the president said, "there's no blues like the song our artists have chosen to close with — the blues from our hometown."

With that, the ensemble wrapped up the evening with "Sweet Home Chicago." And then Jagger handed off the mic to Obama for his presidential coda.

In advance of the concert, Grammy-winner Keb Mo had joked during a rehearsal break that Obama himself would perform, and there could even be a record in the works. He joked that Obama's record would be called, "After the second term, now I can finally get my groove on."

Maybe he wasn't joking after all.

The lineup for Tuesday's concert spanned multiple generations, from legends like King and Guy to young faces such as 26-year-old Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews and Gary Clark Jr., whose style blends hip hop, contemporary soul and indie rock. Also performing were Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks, with actress Taraji P. Henson as the program host and Booker T. Jones as music director and band leader.

The blues concert will be part of the "In Performance at the White House" series that airs on the Public Broadcasting Service. This one, designed to recognize Black History Month, will be broadcast on Monday on PBS stations and aired later on American Forces Network. I feel obama showed his charater and his personality and hes really a human being and he has his own likes in music and he is a historical figure.
