It's been a while since I've written a post on this blog - probably my last post was 7-8 years ago. Read back some of my posts and wow, so much had happened and changed. But, I'm glad one thing stayed constant throughout which was our friendship :)

It's Sunday today - a little more relaxed as compared to the past few weekends. I woke up early, did 45 minutes of the spin ride, ate lunch, and had 20 mins of mask time. It's a self-pampering day and I'm enjoying it so far 😍

Hm... where should I start? Maybe a quick highlight on what had happened the past years - since I have time today, so why not?

2015

I remember my last post was about deciding what major I would like to pursue in my undergraduate degree. Well, I ended up choosing Psychology as my major. *fast forward* In 2015, I graduated with BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Sunway University. I've made new friends whom I am still keeping in touch with, some of them I've lost touch and I hope they are doing well.

** I'm not sure if I would have picked another major if I could have chosen again, but what I know for sure, I enjoyed studying Psychology.

2017

I went on to pursue my postgraduate degree in Organisational Psychology at City, University of London. I believe this is by far one of the best decisions I've made. I really enjoyed my time in the UK and in my perspective, London will always be one of my favourite cities. Perhaps, London will also be a place that I'm willing to settle down given the opportunity. It was my first time being away from home and living all by myself and I survived!

I did some traveling, met new friends, got an internship in the UK ~~and of course party and got drunk too.~~

2019

I got my first full-time job in 2018. I was an intern with this organisation and after I graduated with my Masters, I came back to Malaysia and continued with them. It is a small organisation and the culture was like family, and everyone was nice and supportive. I was the youngest in the team and it felt like a safe place to fail and learn here. It was challenging being in a client-facing role as clients may have a different perspective towards me given the youngest in the team. And, this was also my first job after university, it definitely didn't help either. On the other hand, it was also fun working in this organisation because I had the opportunity to travel across Europe for work, training, and attending conferences.

But, we managed to figure out an alternative way to get there...... it was definitely an adventure!

2021

COVID happened! It has been more than a year now and I have been working from home since Feb 2020. I left my first job earlier this year and moved to a different organisation. I was on-boarded to my new role virtually, and have been in my new role now for almost 4 months without having met any of my team members/colleagues in person. I took on a bigger role in my new job and I've been working longer hours (perhaps, because we are all working from home too), more challenges but no regrets. I believe I am learning and growing in my new role. *positive thoughts I'm starting to feel tired of this pandemic and lockdown - we are not allowed to dine out, go to the gym or yoga classes, not able to meet our friends. I feel all I have been doing during this pandemic was work and work. I really hope and wish everything will be better soon and I can meet my girls again.

Thankfully we have met up, spin, and party (a little) before the lockdown.

I've spent the whole afternoon writing this blog post, and I think I'll stop here..... I was supposed to do the 50 questions from Fa's last post but I guess.... TBC. haha!

Note to self: You may feel lost, and unsure about your future but eventually all the pieces will fall into place. Don't be too hard on yourself, and failure is a way to learn. You've made mistakes at work, made wrong decisions, and maybe regrets on some, but hey look, you are doing well and you've learnt not to repeat them. So keep moving forward, leng.

Hi hello and omg. The last post was 2013!!!!! 8 freakin’ years agoooooooo!

hey hey ya'll! hahaha. oh my gosh just the other day i was viewing all of the posts since the beginning of time!

anyways. currently in Dubai airport to kuala lumpur!

so... a lot has happened since the last time i blogged.

I am just so excited that Newcastle University has accepted me for MEng Chemical Engineering!

argh cant wait! anyways, ive been good. :) family's good. :)

HI. I had a pleasant surprise on friday :)

So this was what happened.

Puddy called bebz and leng and they all planned it. i have no idea how the planning took place and stuff so i won't be able to tell you that :) But what i can tell you is that i was STARVING!! Mum kept giving the excuse that the chicken was too thick so its taking time to roast in the oven. Thus, not time for dinner. Later on at about 7-ish, mum came into the room and started talking to me about serious stuffs. I had no idea that bebz, leng, pat, xingyy and edible balls (sorry i just had to) were outside in the living room with puddy and a cake.

isn't it cute? :) its an ice-cream cake (vanilla and stawberry) and puddy chose it :) thanks puddy!

They BARGED INTO MY ROOM, BURSTING OUT IN SONG. I have to admit, I was pretty shocked and surprised. I mean, if you were listening to what my mum was telling me, it was a totally different atmosphere from what I got. Anyway, the candles were melting FAST and i took my time to blow them out ~~blowww the candles ouutttt look like a solo toniggghhhttt~~. Turned out that everyone was in on the plan. They took me out to MV for mexican fooood!! PICTURES COMING UP! but lengyy had to leave early cuz she went home late the night before because she was sending sha off.

Everything tasted like Doritos! I think everyone agrees with this. but they taste yummy. and yes i'm happy. Later on, we had dessert at SS2 at some place called KTZ and we met a radio DJ outside the shop. Not sure what her name is though but I remember she was the emcee at the AAR concert yeaaarss back.

i've never posted anything for a really long time and all the others started posting so i thought it is about time for me to start posting something. anyway, my life has been super different for the past 5 months, i went off to scotland, started living on my own here. and, whoa. i learnt alot. i learnt so much that i didnt even realize time was passing so fast.

but, so far, life has been good, it has not been the worst, i guess but, whatever happens, happens. thank god, ive been alright and everyone around me seems fine, but i can really tell we all miss our old days in school. this is the second year we are away from each other. and, i guess, we have grown our separate ways but, i am really glad we still talk to each other all the time. the others had been really busy with studies. i've been really busy with assignments. i really cant wait to be home soon. hot weather. yay -_-. its really windy here. two words to describe scotland, WET and WINDY. that is not a very good combination.

so, anything interesting that happened to me lately?

well, nothing much. i feel pretty much like a loser everyday. AHAHA. but, i'm getting to like myself.

okay, what was i talking about again?

oohhh. so, to wei yeen, pat, shuk, farah, brenda, yee ling, leng. we probably have spent most of our everydays with other people and never really got to talk in person or do everyday stuff together but i'm glad to call you all my best buddies forever! I'm pretty bad at titles. Haha.

So I was reading our past posts and realised the last time I actually blogged was about my first day at college. Which was really really long ago. More than a year :O Now I'm almost done with my first semester in uni, and finals in 2 weeks! Time flies.

The scary thing about time is that, it changes people. I think I'm different now. I feel different. I act different. I think differently too. I'm not sure if these differences are good or bad, but I hope I would eventually change for the better.

Here's a list

1. I cry very easily during movies now. I never used to cry in movies, because I think movies exaggerate. I didn't even cry watching The Notebook. A Walk to Remember, maybe just a bit? Didn't cry watching Koizora either. Remember how you girls always say I have a cold heart? Hahahaha.

2. I don't mind watching horror. Last time, I couldn't even take it when Farah tell her horror stories. It's like, "Girls do you wanna hear this scary story?" Me: *run*

3. I started putting on make up! Okay this is probably just a part of growing up and is definitely a normal change. Hahahaha.

4. I'm turning lame. Much, much, MUCH worse than before. I know its annoying to some people, but I just can't resist at times.

5. Clubbing. I used to be very against clubbing, I don't think I've told you about this before, but yeah. Now I actually find it fun. I'm still against smoking though. I will never date guys who smoke. NEVER. Guys if you are reading this, put that stick down and start living a healthy life.

6. Swearing and PMS. Swearing is bad, I know. Will work on it and stop. As for pms, I NEVER HAD PMS LAST TIME OKAY. Now my emotions fluctuate like a sin/cos graph with huge amplitudes. I can get really hyper, but most of the time I get depressed for no reason. Then I'll start ranting to shuk. Poor girl. Hahahahaha.

7. Studies. This is at least 90% why I'm so mad at myself these days. Yet I'm doing nothing to change it. I've been skipping lectures and classes, not bothered to do homework, easily distracted when the tutor is talking and doing assignments few days before it is due. I don't know why, I'm not motivated to study anymore. I've had this problem ever since uni started. I know its bad to be slacking, but even the thought of failing is not pushing me to study.

8. Last but never least, I'll never look at relationships the same way anymore. Period.

P.S. I wanted to have a cheerful post initially, but I'm tired of smiling and saying I'm fine.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommas! :) (yep, a day late)

Anyway, yesterday was mother's day and my bros and I had planned to cook for my Mum. Well, the plan was: me - dessert, 2nd bro - main, 1st bro - side/drinks. So, I decided to make a no-bake cheesecake. Hehe. Did I mention that i suck at cooking/baking? Yes, I know, imma be the loveliest girlfriend/wife/mum. :P I've already tried making it before. This was my second time. Well, Brenda, Yeeling and I tried making it. :P It didn't set that time because that recipe didn't include Gelatin powder and later on I was told that in order to make it set I had to use Gelatin powder. (Well, there are some cheesecake recipes which are no-bake and do not require Gelatin powder. Meh..) So, at 11pm the night before, I started my cheesecake making. Yes, 11pm! Okay, I suck at telling stories. Hahaha. Okay, let me tell you about the first part of my Saturday.

11am - reservations for Dim Sum @ Jaya Palace, Wisma LYL. Mother's Day brunch with my cousins, aunt&uncle, brothers. Mannn, I was so stuffed! But it was satisfying. :B

Okay, then we went to NSK to get some groceries for steamboat at night to celebrate mother's day with my grandma and other aunt&fam. NSK groceries are cheap okayy. And it's like 24/7. Yeahh, so after eating we had to cleaning up and then my bro and I went to get stuff for tmrw. (I forgot to bring the ingredient list to NSK -.-)

Ah yes, back to the story above. I started at 11 and ended at 1.30am. I am that bad. Hahaha. This time wasn't as bad as the first time but I put it in the freezer for longer and well, it set lah! :}

WY: The clouds are nice today! Its like. Fluffy!
ME: I was thinking what shape the cloud is. I saw a human sliding and a forever alone face but the cloud was fading the longer i stared at it. Then i was thinking what if i fell through the clouds. How would it feel? Then the thought trailed on....
WY: I think you'll get all wet.
ME: Like how's thee feeling. Do I fall faster/slower? Turbulence?
WY: I remember watching cartoons with people sitting on clouds, jumping from one to another.
ME: Yes yes! We should skydive one day! Through a cloud :)
WY: Yess!! But can we breathe? Its like, so high up.
ME: Ahahaha. I don't know. I hope so. I think can la. People skydive all the time. Maybe we need a O2 tank! Aahahhahaha
WY: OMG AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! If we carry an O2 tank we'll fall faster. Heavier weight.
ME: Ahahah. Funner. Fall faster. The thrill! Maybe a small one la. Cuz we won't be so high for too long. Acceleration at 9.81 m/s.

Gosh, i really dont know how to start.
Here goes...

Its not about what people want from you. Its about what you want to do and when you're happy doing it, you share it with the people you love. If they're not happy with it, its their problem. You tried your best, you worked hard. If the outcome is what you think is shit, then its not your fault because its your own effort

Pressure is good and it keeps you going and working

Dont complain when gaining knowledge otherwise the knowledge won't sink in

You set a goal, go for it! If you've worked hard, tried your best, didnt achieve what you wished for that's perfectly okay because you learned a lot during the process and life goes on so you can always set a new goal and try harder at your own pace.

No matter whatever the situation is, do not lose yourself.

The only person who can help you is yourself.

You're happy when you choose to be happy

Sometimes you just need to go away and breathe a new air. There are many things you can do in this world.

It's okay not to be okay. Keep calm and carry on.

No one is ever ready for their papers even me.

Just keep working and do your best.

Well done on making it this far. You did a great job.

Follow your heart because your heart beats for you and it knows you best and what's best for you.

Well anyway, enough with that now. I have finally sorted my universities out. Initially I received 4 conditional offers from UCL, Newcastle, Nottingham and Bath. I had trouble choosing which ones as my firm and insurance choice. Spoke to my parents and tutors about it and finally I made up my mind. I am taking Newcastle as my firm and Nottingham as my insurance. Why? Because initially I wanted to go to Newcastle because I like the campus university and the living cost is not that high and since I want to do engineering, Nottingham uni is an engineering school so there you go. I know its a bit of a bum i turned UCL down but I have a feeling that I won't be happy studying there for more than 2 years because the living expenses are ridiculous, its not a campus university so you wont get a proper university experience and pressure. It is a good university because of its reputation and ranking but i want to be in an environment where i know i can study better and happier and i can gain knowledge better for future use instead of being too academic and in the end its just about the grades.
Other than that I have some experiences that I'd love to share but will do when I see my girls. ;)

I feel that people are setting the bar reaaalllyy high for me. My parents especially. They're expecting me to do really well for my A-levels but I know damn well that I won't be able to achieve what they want. Hell! I'm just trying to get a minimum of BCC. My dad even went like "Maybe you'll even change your mind and go back to medical." They seriously think that I'm well prepared for this exam. The truth is, I'm afraid I disappoint them. I just don't want them to feel disappointed when they see my results :( I tend to disappoint people a lot. I'm losing interest in everything now.

HI!

Its been a looongggg time! I know :) My exams are coming up in less than a week and i finish June 22 then I start uni in early July!! Time friggin' FLIES!!

Ever since tumblr (~~tomblr~~) i became a full-time fangirl. yes its bad but jkgasdhfkashbfkafk i don't care! so here's the list of my latest obsessions :D

I've always been obsessed with my fav bands so we can leave them out of the list ;) but i shall just put a photo of my all time favourite band - ALL TIME LOW! :D

yess they're posing with bananas in their underwear and this is a really old picture. i love them :)

Then i became infected with one direction infection. it was unexpected and i hated myself for loving them so much at one time but i learned to accept that i do. so they're now my BABIES :D

and i also started watching SUPERNATURAL more than a year ago. ALL THESE FEEEEELSSS!! you people have to watch it! 7 seasons and it never fails to make me have all the feels ever existent!!

i watch doctor who too! but if i were to post every band and tv show i watch, this post will be SHIT ASS LONG! so lets just have one of each category here :)

After watching thor, I FELL HEELS OVER HEAD FOR LOKI. I MUST BE OUT OF MY MIND! BUT I DID!! I LOVE LOKI SO MUCH IT!! look at my ~~tomblr~~ dashboard!

Hello everybody :)

It's been ~~months~~ years since I update this blog. D: I guess everyone is busy with college and exams. I'm currently sitting for my A2 and I'm stress + sad. I don't know. Mixed emotions I have here :'( I'm not ready for my papers, parents been pressuring on me what course I'm taking after A-levels. I can't make up my mind. I don't know what I want to study or what I like.

I just can't wait for my exams to over, so I get to PARTY WITH MY GIRLS !!! Going on a road trip with them (if possible), sleepover :). Oh, I just remember, my boyfriend gave me a new nickname, 'chicken ass', apparently I talk non-stop and I always ask him silly and foolish questions. but I'm just curious. And I never understand his 'sick' jokes apparently. I always laugh at the wrong timing. Its so awkward.

I've learned something recently, appreciate what you have, especially YOUR FAMILY. No point regretting in the future. Don't compare yourself with others and don't be jealous of others. Make your own stories :)

I think that's all, just a short post, need to get back to revision.

HEY GIRLS,

It's like 2am and i'm so tired. I just went through our blog. Well, not exactly everything but i started at the beginning! The poem post is funny. I never realised how good our poems were until now. :P And there were a few posts where I actually giggled. Especially Feon's posts. Gah, you guys should take a trip back to memory lane soon too. And, we should revive this blog! It has so many memories in it.

hi!

wow! its been so long since anyone last updated stfu :) FIRST POST FOR THIS YEAR! I don't even know if anyone actually reads this stuff. Anyway, its time for me to let you know what's been going on in my life.

For the past year, I've been lost. Unsure what my purpose in this world is. I've decided to take medicine! :) I really hope to stick to this and not change my mind anymore. I've decided that I want to leave my footprints on the surface of this earth. I want to make a difference! Change something. Do something significant to the world! And i WILL! Just you wait :D

My 2nd sem results will be coming out in 2 weeks! Wish me luck! I really do hope I get at least all B's *fingers crossed* I really need the results to apply for medicine! I'll be applying to either Taylors or Moscow Uni. We'll just see what happens :)

Now to the less serious stuff :)

I just finished The Hunger Games trilogy not long ago! I really can't wait for the movie!! You guys should really read the books. Its really good! WATIC and WTK will be having a concert here in Malaysia soon! I'm STOKED!! :D I just hope my exams dates don't clash with the concert date! And to the music section! I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH HARRY STYLES OF 1D! Wth?? His voice is just RIDICULOUSLY sexy! Even when he speaks! D: And yes I do love Liam, Zayn, Niall and Louis too :D just not as much. But everyone has their favourite, right? :D New song stuck on repeat? The Ready Set's BACK TO BACK! Listen to it! Its addictive!

Since Wei Yeen has mentioned that our blog has not been touched for almost half a year, so here I am, updating it on behalf of STFU girls. :)

Everyone has been busy with each other's lives in terms of studies and colleges and other stuff as well. However! We do still talk every single day on Whatsapp and in our very own fb group. Everyone's been busy with exams including me. I am currently taking my AS examinations and I really can't wait to get it over with so that I can concentrate on my A2.

It has been ages since i last blogged. Been hooked on tumblr for so long. But no, I haven't forgotten this blog :)

Its May now. 4 months since I started college at MCKL. 4 months! See how fast time flies? By now, you'd think I've gotten used to it right? Well, I havent. Just so you know. I've been having drastic mood swings there. I could be super hyper one moment and the next, depressed. I miss everyone in high school. I miss us! That's not my only problem. You know, by this time, many have already thought about plans for the future. I should be thinking about them too. You see, O used to think that I'll be a dentist in the future but after a while, I realized that it isn't what I really want. Its just something my parents want me to do. I don't want to do something that will bore the shit out of me! NO WAY!! I always thought that I would end up doing something in the science stream. Now, the more I think about it, I'm starting to doubt that. Maybe that's not really what I want?

Its really frustrating you know? Time to think is almost up! Once A-levels is done, I will have to decide! Its already MAY! Not much time left! I'm really confused. Need someone to talk to. There are many cases where parents tell children that they didn't plan for what they are. Like they planned for something else but never actually manage to reach their goal? I don't want to be one of those parents. The parent with a broken dream. I want to be those parents where my future children will look up to and be inspired that I actually got to do what I want. You get what I mean? At the same time, I don't want a boring job! My parents want me to go for Medicine/Dentistry/Law. I don't want either of them now. I did try to tell my mum. But I think she has already decided to make me go for those. Everything else to her isn't professional! But why??

I really need to talk to someone who will understand me and give some advice :) I know, I know, i used to be the one giving advice. But now, it is my turn to seek for some :) If only I take my own advice!! haha.

Hellohello! :)

It's been supadupah long since I've updated this bloggg. It's so much easier to reblog on tumblr than to type an actual post here on blogspot. But it's more meaningful to actually post one here right? :D

Okay, so yesterday we finally went out. I mean the girls and I. Just the 6 of us this time cause Farah and Brenda are abroad. Don't worry though, we'll all be reunited soon! :) I can't wait for us to have an actual vacation together! Like a road trip or overseas or smth! Hehehe. Okay back to topic. So yesterday we went to Gardens/Midvalley. Shuks and fenoya were there like hours before cause they wanted to study. (Dont know whether they managed to do it or not tho) :P So, at around 2smth3, Salmah came over to pick me up then to sg long to get G!

We reached midvalley around 3msth4 if im not mistaken. All my watches are out of battery. :\ Met them at big apple. They were studying. :P Then Salmah and I were hungry so we got some food. *as usual.

*okay fast forwardddd
DINNER TIME! x) took us ages to decide where to eat. In the end, we went to Italiannies at Gardens. We ordered like 5 dishes and shared everything. Boy, were we full. The foood was good tho. (well most of it) The chicken and the salmon fettuccine were (Y). :) By the end of the dinner, all of us were very happpy people. Hahahah. We divided everything and paid G back and realised she got 10 bucks extra. Instantly all of us thought, "let's get dessertttt!" x)

We went to coldstorage cause Shuks needed to get some household items and potatoes. Hahaha. So G bought us a tub of icecream to share. What better way to spend the extra 10 bucks right? :P
The problem now was getting 6 spoons. We saw an icecream shop so we were like, "Ask them for spoooons!"

Me: Go ask them, Feon-na.
Feon-na: Why dont you go ask for spoons?
Me: Why me?
Feon-na: You look like you can get 6 spoons.
Me: Really? :D Okay. *challenge accepted

*walks to the icecream shop.
Me: *smilessss
Lady #1: Yes? *smiles
Me: Can I get six spooons, please? *continues smilingg
Lady #2: Green?
Me: Any colour will do. *still smiling
Lady #1: *grabs 2. How many?
Me: 6. *shy smile :3
Lady #1: *gives 6 spoons.
Me: *SCOREEEEE! Thank you very much! :)

We finished the tub of ice cream in the car. I forgot to mention, even picking the flavour/brand of icecream took ages. -.- Then off to Ben's cause we wanted to "surprise" them.

*Salmah and G walks to the gate while the rest hides behind the pillar.

*light comes on at the intercom
Feon-na: Patttt, isn't there a camera there?
Me: Oh shitttttt, there issss. *laughhsss
