i just try this method on my HP Deskjet 2466 and HP Deskjet 2180 all in one and working 100%. To reset or disable the warning of low ink hp printer by following these steps:

Open the System Configuration Utility, click Start, run then type msconfig
Go to startup tab then disable HPWuSchd2 and HP Digital Imaging
Click Apply and then OK
You must restart your computer into force

hp printer for others perhaps you can use this methode to disable the low ink warning.

Remove the cartridge from the printer.
Place a piece of tape over the contact to the upper left as shown in red in the photo at right.
With the tape covering the cartridge back into place contact the printer.
The printer will be held and the alignment page. (Some newer models no longer print page alignment. If the printer runs through a series of priming routines and stops for 20 seconds continue through to the next step)
Once an alignment page is printed remove cartridge from the printer.
Place a piece of tape over the second contact shown in red.
Place the cartridge into the printer with both pieces of tape. (One covering the first contact and cover the second contact.)
The printer will print another alignment page. (Some newer models no longer print page alignment. If the printer runs through a series of priming routines and stops for 20 seconds continue through to the next step.)
Once the second alignment page is printed remove cartridge from the printer.
Remove the pieces of tape cartridge contacts
Make sure that no residual adhesive on cartridge contacts.
Place the cartridge into the printer. Cartridge should now read full.

5 Tape over the contact squares on the top left corner of the cartridge's contacts. Insert the cartridge into the printer and run an alignment page. Ignore any messages that might appear saying there is a problem with the cartridge.
6 Take the cartridge out of the printer. Remove the tape from the left corner and tape over the contact squares on the top right corner. Place the cartridge back in and run another alignment page.
7 Remove and reinsert the cartridge, this time with no tape on any of the contacts. Check to see if the printer recognizes the cartridge as being full.
8 Repeat the above steps if the cartridge is still shown as being empty. This time, use the bottom corner contact squares instead of the top ones. If you are still unable to reset the cartridges, using multiple cartridges is likely the only way to do it.

OK, now insert the printer CD and run the installer, selecting "Network" installation when it asks. Make sure to NOT have the USB cable installed between your printer and PC when you start the installation. It will ask you to temporarily install the USB cable during the installation.

1 Place the cartridges on a flat surface with some paper towels under them to collect spilled ink.
2 Place the black cartridge No. 15 for the bottom is facing up. Remove the plastic film covering the ball bearing. Push the ball bearing with small allen wrench until there is sufficient space to allow the syringe needle to enter.
3 Fill a syringe with 30 ml of black ink refill. Place a short blunt needle. Insert the needle into the fill hole that was covered earlier by the ball bearing.
4 Slowly inject ink into the cartridge.
5 Squeeze sides of cartridge to create a vacuum. Screw the 1/16th inch set in place in the hole until flush with the bottom of the cartridge. Loosen the sides of the cartridge.
6 Place the No. 78 color cartridge to the top of the cartridge up and the "Hewlett-Packard" logo side is up.
7 Click on the three plastic plugs into the top of the cartridge with a pin to pull off.
8 Fill a syringe with 8 ml of yellow ink. Insert the needle into the hole on the left side. Inject 3 ml of ink on the bottom of the ink chamber. Raise the needle to inject a bit the other 5 ml in the middle of the ink chamber.
9 Fill a syringe with 8 ml of magenta ink. Insert the needle into the center hole. The ink is injected in the same way the yellow ink is injected.
10 Fill a syringe with 8 ml of cyan. Insert the needle into the hole on the right side. The ink is injected in the same manner as the other two colors.
11 Tighten the two rounds over paper towels for five minutes to catch any leaking ink. Do not allow the printhead to touch the paper towel or directly to base the ink cartridges.
12 Replace the black and color cartridges in the HP 940C printer. Wait at least eight hours before printing the ink is able to saturate the sponge inside the cartridge.

Questions :
I have a 6988 deskjet that I would like to configure for wireless printing. I am able to connect to the printer via ethernet and via wireless Ad-Hoc and can open the EWS browser. When I select the Network tab a dialog opens andd asks for a user name and password. I know from the user's manual that the name is "Admin", however, I never configured a password and the password is not blank. (I suspect that I bought a returned unit and another user set a password)

The problem is that using the manual's Password Reset routine - "Hold the Report key down and press the Cancel key 3 times" - does not reset the password.
Does anyone know an alternate method to clear the password or a back door password?

1. Verify that the printer is powered on.

There should be some error .So you know how to remove the catridges just remove it n re insert it properly.If there are any paper jams try removing it also.and by the way if you haven't installed the drivers for HP deskjet this problem may arise.So make sure you ahve don this.Also this can be happened if the printer have some hardware problems.So none of this solutions are working its better to consult it with an expert.

Ink Level Reset for Cartridges HP 21, HP 27, HP 56, HP 58, HP 22, HP28 and HP 57

At some cases, tutorial reset ink level HP cartridges in this blog sometime fail to. Which is is possible to be caused by the condition of every printer differ. If this way and this fail to reset ink level cartridges HP 21, HP 27, HP 56, HP 58, HP 22, HP 28 and HP28, you can use following methode.

* Turn your computer OFF and then remove cartridge from printer.
* Turn printer off
* Place a piece of tape over the top left contact as shown in BLUE on the picture to the right.
* Turn on printer. Printer will automatically print test page. (if printer does not print a test page but goes through a priming routine continue following steps when routine ends.
* Remove cartridge from printer.
* Place a piece of tape over top right contact as shown in RED on the picture to the right.
* Return cartridge to printer. Printer will go through a series of tests. Which will be quite audible.
* Remove cartridge from printer.
* Place a piece of tape over the two contacts on the right side of the cartridge as shown in GREEN on the picture to the right.
* Return cartridge to printer. Printer will run additional tests and be quite audible.(If you check your ink levels at this point you will receive a “printer busy message”)
* Remove cartridge from printer and remove all tape from cartridge.
* Reinstall cartridge. (If you check your ink levels at this point you will receive a “printer busy message”)
* Turn printer off. Wait for 20 seconds and turn the printer back on. Ink level should now read full.
