The biggest mistake made by people new to the Network Marketing Online Home Business arena is thinking that once they finally get their Web Site up and running on the internet they can finally sit back and watch all the business come. Well, they worked hard didn't they, and they had been told get a web page if you want to make money.

They were told correctly but not the whole story,
it is wrong to think this because once the site is up it needs to be found, and with Billions of web sites out there how on earth are you going to be found. You won’t, if you don’t believe me create a site and immediately go to Google and search for it, good luck. No matter how good the site is, it is lost in a sea of others. You potential customers will not find your site, or product, or service so you will never make any Money and your business is doomed.

So what can you do? First be aware of this from the start, all search engines must know of your site there for it must be a priority for you even in the build phase of your site. When all of the search engines look for you or send out crawlers you need to make sure they see you and know what business you are in so they can build links and let others find you.

Second and most obvious is that you must know what your market really is and what key words relates to that market. This really is an easy one; you know your product best, so you know what your customers want. Just ask yourself if I were looking for my product what would I enter in the search engine, and expect to find my product or service.

Third you must make sure you built your web site around these key words or phrases, this includes ALL your pages not just the main one. You want the search engines to find all of your pages or content. This will help the "Spiders", "Robots", or "Crawlers" find and list ALL your content. Keep in mind that all search engines use different algorithms and techniques to find what they consider relevant content and their methods are changing and evolving constantly to provide the best results to their customers IE the people searching for you. Therefore your key words or phrases must be relevant and liberally spread through your site. Put particular attention to Domain names, Headings, Descriptions and the top part of pages.

By paying attention to the above and optimizing your website for your product or service you will have gone a very long way in enabling the search engines to find, list, and drive large numbers of potential customers to your web page and be closer to the top of search results. As you know when a site is on the first few pages and close to the top we click on them first, it’s human nature.

As I touched upon in the last article about search engines you must have a firm grasp of what your customers are looking for and how they are attempting to find it. Unfortunately for you it is not what you think, most people are not looking for your product. Seriously how could they, they do not know you or the product or the service you sell. Do not despair we do know what most of them have in common.

Most potential customers
or web surfers have a need and are looking for answers or information that they most likely where not able to find anywhere else, and that, we have. It would be great if everyone knew who we are, Where to find us, what we have and was eager to buy it now, but we do not live in that wonderful world.

So in this not so perfect world of ours how do these potential customers with questions go about getting their answers? Well back to the search engines again... do you see a theme starting to unfold. They go to their favorite search engine, Google for example and type in a ......What... you guessed it a key word or key phrase. How you say, well the strength of the link between your business and the keyword determines how well you fulfill their needs and that in turn determines if you make a sale.

Ok let us take a step back and see what happens when our potential customer types a keyword or phrase into their favorite search engine.
