For me, work of art is a presentation form to communicate the ideas to other peoples aesthetically. A value of art is yet perfectly gain if there's no interaction between audiences and an artwork. I believe the value of an artwork will elevate if there's contact between the origin artist idea in his work against the audience perceptions.

Meanwhile, the blissfulness of creating work of art is only belong to the related artist. Passions, Emotions, Intuition adventures, widespread of imagination clusters upon a creative process when an artwork is ongoing it's happen privately, and in a deep intimacy of an artist mind and soul.

I love to paint, draw, and visualize whatever comes to my heart and mind. Sometimes, I feel the range is too wide. Too many wishes to take up everything. Either it's came from within me or outside.

So that's why I have so many various thematic and styles. Traditional, digital, Graphic design, illustration, fine art, etc. I thought, it may even sporadic, irregular, and chaos. But I live it. I live this transition phase as a "Passages" of my art and life.

This time, coincide with the celebration our beloved mother earth Indonesia independence day, finally I make up my mind to assign a theme for this exhibition. I hope this can reflected my internal issues and it's relation to the social and political situation around us. Moreover, after we pass the most mesmerizing election along our political history. Aren't we are in the middle of a transition? a process to moving trough passing a hard and confusing situations. I hope we take it as examinations. I hope with this "Passages", we will trained become a better humans kind.

2 days ago I went to my storage room in my studio. I review couples of my past works. Then I found a painting titled "The Window". I looked at him all night long. I didn't like it that much. So in the end, I decided to recover/deform/reform (Whatever you name it) that painting and turn it into something new. This is a part of a new form of it.

What I thought when I made this piece is I try to play the semiotic issue. "Falling star" is known as a sign of lucky. It's a spiritual motivation. Some peoples make some wishes when they see it in the sky. But here we go, there's a fallen black star that incidentally slip from a sacred subject. I try to manifest the absurdity and relativity about the meaning of that sign based on what you got in there. It's not a common sign anyway. It's a "Black Star". So there's two opposites meaning for this. Is it a Good Luck? or is it a Bad Luck like a curse?

However, the final answer is back to what we believes. When we trust it, then it will be a strong motivation to act or not. The final decision is right in your heart.

It's such a long long time I didn't update this blog. But no worries, here I am coming back now bring you the latest of my work of art. Yes, I am busy with Facebook stuffs :). Most of my update works posted there. But from now on, I think I am gonna take this blogs more seriously.

Ahh yes, I just join with Urban Sketchers Bali couples months ago. Most of the members is architects, landscape designer, graphic designer, illustrators, comic artist etc. So in this community we share everything about "On the spot" sketching. Most of us using watercolors and inks. So I make additional page to this blog: 'WATERCOLORS". Please feel free to check it out. It's all my watercolors paintings since I join the community. :)

And here we go... back to my "intimate" world when each soul reach the loudness of silence. I presenting you the "Longing". Enjoy!
