This little guy popped out of the trees while we were eating lunch in La Plata Canyon, CO. Not a very good pic and I took about 30 pictures. The problem was is I was shocked that a bear was 50 feet away from me and I was shaking like a leaf in a tornado ;)

I've always a green-minded person... Even though I believe that this most beautiful earth will shrug us off at some point no matter what we could do to it. It is still in it's life process and things will change drastically at some point just like it has already at some points in the past....
Anyways, I bought some new detergent...it's arm n hammer essentials...so far...it made Patey's shirt come clean except for one spot which may or may not have been there already....and it smells clean...I'm liking it so far...we'll see if things go well with it...that's my green topic today...HA! I'm lazy!

going to do some laundry....children make lots of dirty clothes in a day. especially the towels and stuff from all the cleaning up. i am tired. the dogs are tired. raven got attacked by the rooster tonight....it ran right up her as she stood there screaming....good times...poor raven :S was kind of funny looking...i can remember getting chased as a kid and had to almost fight one not too long ago...ah well...alls well that ends well...it's almost bed time for these children. i need to clean up some and get a shower and get ready for the sleepyzoneland....ahhh like this minnow it's been an adventurous battle all day long ;D

It's been quite some time since I have blogged. Life has been too hectic and insane :D I've been laying around for a few days...had a wisdom tooth removed...feeling better tonight. I went out to my very blessed garden and picked a ton of tomatoes and some green peppers and onions and am making some homemade spaghetti sauce ;D even though I have some in the cupboard.
My house smells nice.
I was starving today. Becky brought me some homemade chicken noodle soup, that I ate a ton of it is sooooooooooooo yummy!
It also inspired me :D well, my hunger did too...I can't wait until it's done. Will make some pasta, get some garlic bread...not feeling up to making bread...and have a feast :D
Well, I'm gonna go stare at my food cooking :D ta ta and have a lovely evening where ever your chillin' tonight :D

You get what you put into life....and sometimes even that is taken away for some reason.
Some people just don't change and never will.
Life is good, even when it's bad, it beats the alternative eh?

Education

Here's where things need to happen in order to make those less fortunate be able to have a higher success rate.
Our government needs to take the school tax money and dump it into ALL the poor communities. We need to be able to teach these children how to succeed in life. They need way fucking better than what they have to even begin to see that it's possible for them. Quit giving money to colleges first....dump it in elementary schools, middle & high schools...If kids aren't excited about school from the beginning...more than likely they never will be.
The wealthier communities can take care of their own schools, they've been doing it all along. Let them fend for themselves and give aid where it is needed.
If we want our children to succeed we must give them the tools to succeed. We've dropped the buck on a few generations of less wealthy individuals because why? We see countless stories on how some special kids make it out and go on to have amazing careers. We see that these kids are somehow inspired by some activity or such outside of their realm. So why not change the realm where they spend 8 hours a day. Make it fantastic...bring the rest of the world to them. They should be afforded that if anything. We have the capabilities to do this for them....our children...our future..they deserve it.
Why hasn't our government done this? They know that these schools are suffering....that these children are not able to reach full potential because of their surroundings. If we want to give back to mostly but not just minority groups this would be the way to do it. Without it the chances for success are next to nil .....or is that what they hope for?

Handwriting on the wall.....

Can you see the handwriting on the wall? Probably not much longer....did you know that handwriting in school is optional? It's up to the teachers if they want to teach it(at least in NM)....what the fuck?
I had one teacher tell me that she doesn't want to see her students handwriting as it is atrocious...well maybe if we didn't burden these teachers with them having to raise our children for us also they would find the time and want to teach something that every basic civilization needs in order to survive and prosper.
One of my friends had a teacher tell her a few weeks ago that her son didn't need to know how to spell....that we have spell check for that now.
Writing is an artform that is becoming extinct....I guess signing your name won't be needed much longer. Printing it will be ok until they decide that everything be computerized and then we will have generations of people who will have no other form of communication besides electronic....hope we don't have major solar activity from now till the end of time eh?
Are people really this simple? And if so...God, I can not wait for civilization to end...

Bearbo really doesn't fit on the chair anymore....He is sitting up with his feet on my lap in this pic...Beastly dog that he is....he loves his Mumma...
I still can't get him to shake for anything. He'll do everything I ask him, but he won't shake...He can sit, lay down, speak, get the toy, put it in my hand, sit pretty and fetch oh and go get Bug and get him....he is getting more brave the older he gets..he is also getting to be a smarty pants too...he looks out the window when he hears noises.
Well, BoBo is feeling better now too. I need to give him his booster...He is a bit more of a spaz than Bear so it ought to be interesting. I'm glad he's feeling better, between him and Bug Iwas getting worried :S
They're both feeling much better today. Bug actually got up and moved around for a bit :) YAY!
Well, I was going to work outside, however, it's snowing....so I'm going to do some indoor home improvement. Ta ta and have an interesting day...where ever you may be.....

I'm so sick of sickness....spent the night at the emergency room last night with the kiddo. Poor thing....I think she's starting to feel a bit better. She's got a Kidney/urinary tract infection. And in classical Heidi style...the drs. thought she had menengitis at first...and me being the germaphobe that I am....am the only person who didn't get a mask...Bug had one....nurses all had them...dr. had one....boyfriend even got one....where was my fucking mask????
Poor Mr. BoBo is sick....He is doing better today than yesterday....He has parvo...He is not throwing up or pooping anymore....He even ate some chicken and some ensure a bit ago...His temp is down too. I think he will be ok....he isn't dehydrated or lethargic...he even jumped onto the chair with me...which he wouldn't do yesterday.
So I gave bear his booster shot for it and stabbed myself with the needle because he didn't appreciate being held down.....glad my dog doesn't have aids or anything eh? :D bad nurse!
I can't ever have time off without sickness all around me....why is that? Goats...I'm gonna go degerm the house some more...tired of all the fucking germs everywhere. Ta ta and have a sickness free day where ever you're lingering today.

Spring Break

I love Spring Break!!!! Wooot...kinda bummed...but only because I can't work on my outside stuff today it's still windy and dirty kind of. Ah well, I've
got plenty of inside stuff to do :D yeah!
I'm just devoting this whole week to finishing a schwad of projects. I've got two almost finished...can't work on the outside one...kitchen backsplash is almost done...gonna finish it and grout it later :D that is the project for the evening. My arm and back hurt from working on it yesterday. it's just in the corner and under a cabinet so it's hard to stand bent over for long...the reason it's not finished....it's a big f'n corner....ah well...it'll be done in about an hour from now :D well, the tile...the grout will take another hour...
Well, I guess I'd better move my ass if I want to finish it. Ta ta and have a completed evening where ever you may be....

Red Hair

I dyed my hairs last night....they turned ot incredibly red...well really more like vibrant pink...so I washed it a few extra time and sat with some lemon juice on my head for about 10 minutes this morning. I was contemplating calling off work....but I couldn't so I didn't :D The lemon juice toned it down a bit....thank God!
So now I'm back to being a very red head....woot~
I'm tired and I have a few projects that I have started and never completed...So this weekend is it....I'm going to finish up and get stuff done damnit.
I love to start projects...it's finishing them that I find difficult. I get bored way too easily....ah well....I guess I should quit procrastinating and get something done....Ta ta and have a red day....where ever ya be today.

Well, Thursday at last!
Went to the W store without incedent....without my brains too. I should have gotten a bunch of stuff while I was there, but didn't. Ah well...don't want to support that crap anyways.
I'm trying to get all my laundry done now....It's beautiful outside today. Think I'll hang my clothes outside. It's supposed to be 72...and there's just something special about line dried clothes....I love the smell....Ok...well time to go hang them....ta ta and have a lovely spring day...where ever you are....in the northern hemisphere...or fall day in the southern....

Ignorance is bliss they say.....I think ignorance is laziness and smallmindedness. I don't like when smallminded people assume things about where I live.
First I still recall that most ignorant people in this country think NM is part of Mexico....
second I think you should step outside your tiny little mildewed box and check out someplace else before you think it's funny to make fun of a place you've never seen before or just have a few persons (we won't mention names) skewed view of life of here....
Besides all of that I like checking out the border online...it's better than watching tv and at 10:00 at night what the fuck else should I do?
Hmmmm I guess I could get online and try to get info out of other people about them and their lives only to turn around and not speak to again cause they really just wanted to be friends with the ex (oh unless to throw a dig out there)....HA...nah...my life is to busy for that shit...mental note to self...once an asshole always an asshole.

Monday Morning

My dogs are early risers....I am generally not...don't get me wrong...I generally don't lay around all morning....but most things that occur before 8 am can be prevented by simply not being awake :D LOL...I like my theory anyways.
Well, I did a lot of nothing this weekend. I have been sick for like a month off and on so I decided to just rest and do some stuff around the house. So that's what I did...I still feel crappy though...it's starting to piss me off. I just want to be well....this lingering cold crap is for the birds!

border watch

I watched web cams on Blue Servo last night until about 2ish...very interesting...watching the border from my bedroom.....fun stuff...stayed up wayyyyyyyy to late watching....
Anyways...it's a dreary rainy blah schma day here. I want to work outside, dig stuff up and fix my garden area....cut and pull weeds and bushes....Aah! Spring fever has taken me over....I wish it wasn't rainy!!!! Well, it should make it easier to work the ground anyways...
I love growing things...it is very rewarding...I think that you get a lot more veggies per dollar than if you just buy them in the grocery store. Making them last is another story...Canning isn't too hard...it just requires a lot of your time.
Well, I should quit day dreaming and clean my house up...I have a ton to do and I'm running behind schedule...Ta ta and have a daydreamy day too....
