v-day

2012-02-15T12:03:00.000-05:00

Hey ladies, hope you all had a fabulous day wether you celebrated your love with your other half or chose to ignore the day all together i hope you had a swell time!

Happy Valentine's day! xxx

Is it Spring time yet?!

2012-02-02T20:39:00.000-05:00

Hey Ladies, Happy Groundhog day!

The country’s first two furry forecasters have brought good news to winter-weary Canadians on Groundhog Day: Nova Scotia’s Shubenacadie Sam and Ontario’s Wiarton Willie both failed to see their shadows Thursday morning.

That means, according to tradition, an early spring is on its way! YAY I hope their right! I'm absolutely dying for spring/summer to get here!

As I seem to have the winter blues? Ive decided to buy the most vibrant pink polish I could find, to help me get outta this funk. Anyone els itching for nice sunny weather like me?

ORLY'S : OH CABANA BOY

I tried really hard to get accurate pictures of the colour but it's impossible with my camera at this time. But this pink is not something I would usually wear especially not in the winter! It is SO Bright like neon pink but not in a gaudy way like other neon colours can sometime look, you know what i mean? This colour has glossy finish with violet shimmers in it very subtle though, yet perfect two coat application.I highly recommend this colour! This colour also has lasted longer on me then most my Opi polish's so I'm in love! I find myself just looking at it all the time and makes me smile talk about a mood booster! Also planning on wearing it for valentines day :) yoopie!

One more thing I've been loving is the Stella McCartney Falabella bag.

Do you think spring is coming? Or do you think we have a lot more cold weather ahead? I guess will have to wait and see weather is so unpredictable but it's fun to guess/hope!

Well I hope you ladies have a SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS Weekend!! xxx

NOTD:Holiday Edition

2011-12-30T23:28:00.000-05:00

Hey girls, unfortunately I have been Ill this past Christmas time and wasn't able to put up any OOTD or posts or anything,I'm disappointed I didn't get to do some Christmas posts but I'm glad to be getting better now. I usually always have my nails done/ painted excluding this past week or 2... But since it's still December I wanted to do a red or green nail,I feel like red might be over done though I do like red nails(and paint them red). I'm trying something 'new' I've never painted my nails green before but this green is dark and I kinda love it!
Here you go:

1 coat nail envy as
my base coat.

2 coats OPI:Here today
...aragon tomorrow.

1 coat of the best top
coat ever.

and there you go simple
and festive.

My Christmas wish list!

2011-12-08T20:58:00.000-05:00

Hey girls, lets be honest here usually every year I have this huge list of things i want, but this year I'm keeping it real. All i really want is my friends&family the way it should be.
But still here are a few goodies I've been eyeing down...

-This hoodie is from Roots, and they used to make these 'beaver canoe' sweatshirts a long time ago and when i saw their making them again, it was a bit nostalgic.I think it will be so warm and cozy for Canadian winter.

-I found some really great vintage gold tiger eye earrings at a local boutique (not the ones in the picture) But if i end up getting them ill make a post on them. :)

-I think i would get a lot of use out of a ipad since i could just put it in my handbag(always have a big bag) and use it on the go.

-I'm not expecting any of these things but i just wanted to share with you all what I've been 'dreaming about'.

*I hope all of you are donating money or food this year to those less fortunate or volunteering your time to help others whether it be in a organization or on your own every body needs something, make a difference.*

2011-11-17T23:02:00.000-05:00

Hi Ladies, so I've been so exited to post OOTD for you all, but of course without fail something has to go wrong. My camera that i was planning on using for photos has decided to die.So i no longer have a camera, the only 'camera' i have now is on my iPhone witch i guess is good for nail posts or something but not really good for OOTD's. Though i have seen some girls do it with their phone's for some reason it's not working out for me, either the lighting is off or its blurry i don't know. But if you have any tips for me id love to hear 'em.Until i get a new camera... Of course if you have any good camera suggestions feel free to comment below.Hopefully my luck will turn around soon lol its just been one of those weeks!Hope you ladies are having a fabulous week though and enjoy your weekend!! <3

Trying something new!

2011-11-10T22:21:00.002-05:00

Ive been feeling like this blog isn't what i wanted it to be. I want it to be more of a creative outlet for me where i can express my feelings and what i like and don't like about whatever the hell i want!So I'm gonna do just that as I've been inspired as of late with all the 'plus size blogs' out there.I love fashion and beauty and i know there are a lot of other girls out there that feel the same way i do, and are not the 'average size'.WHO CARES!! if we are more curvy and plump and dares i say it Beautiful! I have never let it stop me from dressing the way i want and following the trends i like:tho it can be tricky at times i do not let it stop me.I want to take an active roll in making it okay not just for me but for all of us,I say fuck you too all the people who stare at me when i am out and about(I tell myself they have never seen a BBW before!) lol.I will do and wear and be whatever i want to be and i encourage you all to do the same!So I'm gonna start posting OOTD (outfits of the day) and or OOTN (outfits of the night) on here for starters and see where that takes me and id love suggestions and comments form all you ladies out there!keep ur eyes peeled for my first ever ootd! xo

Physicians Formula-Shimmer stips

2011-10-21T19:50:00.000-04:00

I have totally been loving my shimmer strips lately its pretty much all Ive been wearing as shadow, they are so pigmented and beautiful colors especially for fall.
I have the "Bronzed Green eyes" one they have many different ones i just like this one because i have green eye and the colours are perfect for me kinda neutral and everyday kinda use!
Here's a swatch of all the colours without primer with flash:

Different "palettes" to choose from pick one

Current book l0vE.

2011-10-07T20:16:00.002-04:00

-As you all may or may not know I love reading books I'm always reading something, whether it be fiction, romance or adventure.I tend to always lean towards fiction novels or series of sorts,i guess you could say i crave it in a weird way and indulge in the fiction of novels since my waking life is often not that exiting... Any ways I often find myself reading instead of blogging so i decided i would share with you guys my passion for reading and maybe some of you enjoy a good book as well.I could let you know of books I've read that i liked or loved or even review them or something like that. I'm not sure exactly what but i would like to include books in my blog somehow, feel free to give me suggestions!

Now on to what I'm reading at the moment:currently I'm reading - 'The Hunger games':here's a quick description of what its about and how it starts: Suzanne Collins' trilogy sucks you in almost instantaneously, as the story takes place in North America, long after the United States has fallen and the rest of the world has fallen with it.

The US has been replaced by Panem, a nation composed of a capitol and 13 districts, though the story begins with only 12. 75 years prior to the story, District 13 stepped too far out of line, and the Capitol bombed it into oblivion.

We first find the protagonist, Katniss Everdeen, poaching in the woods with her best friend Gale. Hunting at all in any of the districts is illegal, but the Capitol doesn't care too much about Katniss' home of District 12, a poor mining community. Poaching is what keeps food on the Everdeen's table, as well as many other prominent tables in town. After all, poaching is illegal for the mayor and the Peacekeepers as well.

Enter the Games

The first book begins the day of the Reaping, the first part of the Hunger Games.

I'm currently reading the second book out of this trilogy it's so captivating i find myself not wanting to put it down and end up falling asleep late at night. So here are the names of the three books with a photo.(from left to right)

nail of the night

2011-09-25T02:40:00.000-04:00

--I decided to experiment a bit out of my comfort zone with my nails...and it turned out fantastic so I decided to share it with you!Hope you like it as much as I do!

--OK so instead of doing what everyone was/is doing and putting on OPI teenage dream and then putting OPI black shatter over it i decided to do something more modern and put OPI's Lincoln Park after Dark (one thick coat) then applying one thick coat of OPI's Teenage dream over it and tahda!!Of course my pictures do not do it justice but i did my best with the poor quality.

--The camera looses the beauty. Please try it yourself let me know how you like it, you can use different brands too just need a dark polish and a very glittery one! Sally Hansen 'strobe lights' a good one too.--

did not translate on camera :(

Wish it would focus. But all and all putting glitter polish over any polish is really in right now for fall and winter so give it a go!!!

Bye,Bye Yellow/brassy Blonde hair

2011-09-20T20:04:00.000-04:00

Do you have blonde hair?Is you hair looking a little Yellow or even brassy?Well have no fear AG colour care sterling silver shampoo-toning shampoo is here!LOL its not 'new' but its new for me because the last few months Ive tried quite a few 'purple shampoos'
and this is by far the one that has changed my hair in a good way it is now beautiful ash blonde as for before it was ash blonde but with brassy parts trough it well not anymore.
The only thing is its a bit drying to the hair so make sure to use a good conditioner!
If your looking for a good inexpensive conditioner read this blog post!---> http://loryloowho.blogspot.com/2011/08/rise-of-planet-of-apesdove-mini-reviews.html its just a mini review on the conditioner but i love it and am still using it I'm on my 2nd bottle!

-Hope you like this post and are having a great week! <3

lip butter regrets...

2011-09-16T22:59:00.000-04:00

Hi guys, so as you know the weather is cooling down as we are entering fall and all its glorious weather...Well i don't know about you guys but my lips (among other things) starts to get dry in the cooler months.
So I start looking into moisturizing products that will help me trough these tough times..lol!
I started with my lips usually the first thing to dry on me,so i decided to buy these two lip butters from 'the body shop' i got :
-Mango lip butter(smells amazing)
-sweet lemon lip butter(smells like lemon)

My description:Well they are thick(not in a good way)/greasy(like i feel like my whole face is greasy?)/not moisturizing at all in my opinion i put it on 10 minutes later its gone and my lips are still cracked...idk not worth the money :( I really do not like these one bit and i do not recommend them to anyone.I AM NOT BASHING THIS COMPANY!! I DO LIKE ALLOT OF THERE OTHER PRODUCTS !!

***SORRY IF YOU ENJOY THESE BUT THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION ON THE PRODUCT.****
