Net Worth – $36.8 Billion

The richest person in India and Asia as a whole is Mukesh Ambani. He is the chairman, managing director, and largest shareholder of Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL), a Fortune Global 500 company and India’s most valuable company by market value.

He holds a BE degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology.

He started his career by helping his father run their family business.

Ambani later enrolled for an MBA at Stanford University but withdrew in 1980 to help his father build Reliance, which at the time was still a small but fast-growing enterprise.

His father felt that real-life skills were harnessed through experiences and not by sitting in a classroom, so he called his son back to India from Stanford to take command of a yarn manufacturing project in his company.

2. RADHAKISHAN DAMANI

Net Worth – $ 13.8

Radhakishan S. Damani is an investor, businessman, and founder of DMart. As of June 2020, Damani is the second richest person in India.

In 1999, he operated a franchise of Apna Bazaar, a cooperative department store, in Nerul, but was “unconvinced” by its business model.

He quit the stock market in 2000 to start his own hypermarket chain, DMart, setting up the first store in Powai in 2002. The chain had 25 stores in 2010, post-which the company grew rapidly, and went public in 2017.

He is the founder and chairman of HCL and the Shiv Nadar Foundation.

Nadar founded HCL in the mid-1970s and transformed the IT hardware company into an IT Enterprise over the next three decades by constantly reinventing his company’s focus.

You don't need a spa weekend or a retreat. Each of these stress-relieving tips can get you from OMG to om in less than 15 minutes.

1. Meditate

A few minutes of practice per day can help ease anxiety. “Research suggests that daily meditation may alter the brian’s neural pathways, making you more resilient to stress,” says psychologist Robbie Maller Hartman, PhD, a Chicago health and wellnesscoach.

It's simple. Sit up straight with both feet on the floor. Close your eyes. Focus your attention on reciting -- out loud or silently -- a positive mantra such as “I feel at peace” or “I love myself.” Place one hand on your belly to sync the mantra with your breaths. Let any distracting thoughts float by like clouds.

2. Breathe Deeply

Take a 5-minute break and focus on your breathing. Sit up straight, eyes closed, with a hand on your belly. Slowly inhale through your nose, feeling the breath start in your abdomen and work its way to the top of your head. Reverse the process as you exhale through your mouth.

4. Reach Out

Your social network is one of your best tools for handling stress. Talk to others -- preferably face to face, or at least on the phone. Share what's going on. You can get a fresh perspective while keeping your connection strong.

5. Tune In to Your Body

Mentally scan your body to get a sense of how stress affects it each day. Lie on your back, or sit with your feet on the floor. Start at your toes and work your way up to your scalp, noticing how your body feels.

“Simply be aware of places you feel tight or loose without trying to change anything,” Tutin says. For 1 to 2 minutes, imagine each deep breath flowing to that body part. Repeat this process as you move your focus up your body, paying close attention to sensations you feel in each body part.

6. Decompress

Place a warm heat wrap around your neck and shoulders for 10 minutes. Close your eyes and relax your face, neck, upper chest, and back muscles. Remove the wrap, and use a tennis ball or foam roller to massage away tension.

“Place the ball between your back and the wall. Lean into the ball, and hold gentle pressure for up to 15 seconds. Then move the ball to another spot, and apply pressure,” says Cathy Benninger, a nurse practitioner and assistant professor at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

7. Laugh Out Loud

A good belly laugh doesn’t just lighten the load mentally. It lowers cortical, your body’s stress hormone, and boosts brain chemicals called endorphins, which help your mood. Lighten up by tuning in to your favorite sitcom or video, reading the comics, or chatting with someone who makes you smile.

8. Crank Up the Tunes

Research shows that listening to soothing music can lower blood pressure, heart rate, and anxiety. “Create a playlist of songs or nature sounds (the ocean, a bubbling brook, birds chirping), and allow your mind to focus on the different melodies, instruments, or singers in the piece,” Benninger says. You also can blow off steam by rocking out to more upbeat tunes -- or singing at the top of your lungs!

9. Get Moving

You don’t have to run in order to get a runner’s high. All forms of exercise, including yoga and walking, can ease depression and anxiety by helping the brain release feel-good chemicals and by giving your body a chance to practice dealing with stress. You can go for a quick walk around the block, take the stairs up and down a few flights, or do some stretching exercises like head rolls and shoulder shrugs.

10. Be Grateful

Keep a gratitude journal or several (one by your bed, one in your purse, and one at work) to help you remember all the things that are good in your life.

“Being grateful for your blessings cancels out negative thoughts and worries,” says Joni Emmerling, a wellness coach in Greenville, NC.

Use these journals to savor good experiences like a child’s smile, a sunshine-filled day, and good health. Don’t forget to celebrate accomplishments like mastering a new task at work or a new hobby.

1. Jellyfish

The Turritopsis nutricula Jellyfish are known to regenerate through old age or damage. They are, therefore, said to be ‘biologically immortal.’ They have roamed the seas and oceans for more than 700 million years. Jellyfish, in general, can live up to 20 years. They are free-swimming, use their jelly-like bell to move, and use their tentacles to capture prey. Although some are harmless to humans, some have deadly poisonous.

For instance, the box jellyfish’s sting can cause a heart attack within five minutes. They are about 95% water and have no ears, mouth, brain, eyes, or heart. They also have no bones or spine, meaning they are invertebrates. They are carnivorous and feed on small fish, plankton, crustaceans and other jellyfish. They are located all over the world.

2. The Ocean Quahog

Also referred to as the Arctica Islandica, the ocean quahog has been recorded to live for more than 400 years. They are hence said to be among the longest-living marine organisms. One specimen, for instance, known as ‘Ming’ the clam, was estimated to have been 405 years old. However, the specimen in the Icelandic seabed was actually 507 years old. The clam was named as so as it was alive during the Ming Chinese Dynasty.

Also known as Háfrun, its age was calculated by counting the annual growth lines in its shell. It was the oldest individual animal ever discovered whose age was accurately determined. Its age was also confirmed by the carbon-14 dating mechanism. Ming or Háfrun’s sex was never determined, and it died in 2006 when British researchers opened its shell to examine it, completely unaware of its age.

3. Greenland Shark

The sharks are recorded to live for more than 200 years, although one was recorded to be 400 years old. It is the longest living vertebrate on earth. They owe their longevity in life as they grow very slowly. In fact, they grow about 1cm every year and mature after they are 100 years old. They reach sexual maturity after they are 150 years old.

They are mostly found in the North Atlantic Ocean as well the Arctic Ocean. They can grow up to 7.3 meters in length and up to 1,400 kgs in weight. The males are known to be slightly smaller than the females.

The koi fish are colored varieties of the Amur carp. They are distinguished by coloration, scalation and patterning. The Bowhead whale is estimated to have an average lifespan of 200 years. One caught off the coast of Alaska in 2007 had a harpoon point on it, which dated back to 1880, making it at least 130 years of age at the time. They are the fifth-largest marine mammals and are native to the cold and harsh Arctic and the sub-Arctic seas.

They communicate with each other through their complex but famous songs. They can grow up to 18m and weigh about 100 tonnes. Despite their length and weight, they can leap entirely out of water.

6. The Galapagos Giant Tortoise

They are the largest living species of tortoises and can live beyond 100 years. The oldest was clocked at 152 years. They have a low metabolism with some like the Galapagos tortoises, known to go for over a year without either water or food. Additionally, they can sleep for about 16 hours a day. ‘Lonesome George’, for instance, lived beyond 100 and was still classified as a young adult. They inhabit every continent except Antarctica.

A report in 2020 briefed that ‘Diego’, a giant tortoise which was shipped to Espanola, Ecuador, in the 1960s, helped his species from going extinct. He fathered 40% of the giant tortoises on the island. With 14 giant tortoises in the 1960s, the animal is retiring to Galapagos, Ecuador, having bread over 2000 children. He is over 100 years old as well.

7. The Elephant

It is the largest land animal and can live up to 70 years of age. Today, there exists the African and the Asian species of the elephant only. Their breeding age is between 30 and 35 years. Sadly, the macaws are threatened and endangered. There are a few species that are already extinct because of the illegal pet trade, climate change, and the degradation of their habitat.

9. The Longfin Eel

It is native to New Zealand and Australia, and they can live up to be 60 years old. The oldest living longfin eel was recorded to be 106 years of age. Just like the Greenland shark, the longfin eel owes its long life to the fact that they grow very slowly. The longfin eels are a traditional food source for the Maori people of New Zealand, meaning they are increasingly threatened.

10. Geoduck

The Pacific geoduck is a giant and edible saltwater clam, native to western Canada and northwest the United States. Also referred to as the mud ducks or the king clams, they are some of the oldest living animals in the world. A typical geoduck’s lifespan is 140 years, and the oldest geoduck clam died at 168 years of age. They are between 15cm and 20cm in length and can weigh up to 10 pounds.

1. Mahabharat was originally known as Jaya (‘Jayam’)

Mahabharata was not called as so, until very recently. It was originally known as Jayam or Jaya. The original epic was called Jaya, then it was called Vijaya, then Bharata and finally Mahabharata.

Jaya had about twenty five thousand verses while the final form had over one hundred thousand verses. Jaya was about spiritual victory, Vijaya was about material victory, Bharata was the story of a clan and Mahabharata included also the wisdom of the land called Bharat-varsha.

2. Not all Kauravas were against the Pandavas in the war

Two of Dhritarashtra’s sons, Vikarna and Yuyutsu did not approve of Duryodhana’s actions and had actually protested against Draupadi being staked in the game of dice.

3. Bhishma Pitamah’s real name was Devavrata

When Devavrata was a young man, his father Shantanu went on a hunt, and fell in love with a local fisherwoman, Satyavati. However, Satyavati’s father lay down a tough condition – he would only let him marry her if her sons became heirs to his throne. Shantanu returned to his kingdom heartbroken.

Devavrata, unable to see his father in this sad state went to persuade Satyavati to marry his father, offering to step aside as the heir. Satyavati was not satisfied. Even if he steps down, she argued, his sons may claim the throne later. So, Devavrata took a vow never to marry or reproduce and came to be known as Bhishma (Terrible).

6. Abhimanyu had the soul of a demon!

According to Krishna, Abhimanyu was an incarnation of a very powerful demon named (Kalayvan) who was capable of killing him at a later point. Abhimanyu’s only weakness is his partial knowledge about Chakravyuha.

Hence the Chakravyuha was indeed launched to kill Abhimanyu as this was the only way by which Abhimanyu could attain Moksha. Therefore, Krishna never imparts the knowledge of “how to come out of Chakravyuha to him.

Karna,due to his desire to posses divine weapons,approaches Parashuram guised as a Brahmin and takes his discipleship.Karna succesfully the knwoledge of all divine weapons.But once Prashurama recognized the true identity of Karna,gave a curse that he would forget the usage of his celestial weapons when he needed them the most.This is why Karna could never kill Arjuna .

All three characters mentioned above are deemed to be immortals who would live on earth till the end of time.Besides them,all deities namely Brahma,Vishnu,Shiva,Devi,Indra and sages such as Vashishta,Viswamitra ,Narada etc appear throughout both the epic.

8.Arjuna saves Drona from crocodile and wins Brahmastra This is an interesting story that Arjuna came in possession of Brahmastra. One day, a crocodile caught Drona. He could have easily defended himself, but wanted to test his students. He cried for help, and seeing this situation, everyone became clueless. But Arjuna knew what to do and soon enough, he release arrows to kill the crocodile. Guru Dronacharya was extremely happy with Arjuna’s presence of mind and applying his skills in a life situation.

He soon given him the knowledge of Brahmastra, complete with the means for launching and withdrawing it , which could make him invincible. This is notable that Drona did not part this information with his own son, Ashwaththama, his son.

9. Barbarik, son of Ghatotkacha, had a unique power, which made Krishna ask him for his head in charityBheema's grandson (Ghatotkacha's son), Barbarik was supposed to be a great warrior. By Lord Shiva's blessings, he had special arrows by which he could mark his enemies, mark the ones he wanted to save, and then destroy all his enemies respectively. Thanks to this, he could have ended the war in one minute flat. Krishna however, knew better than to let this happen. Because of an oath to his mother, Barbarik always fought for the weaker side. Krishna appeared to him as a Brahmana, and reasoned that whichever side he took would by default be stronger. That way he would have to keep changing parties till everyone got killed. Krishna then asked for his head in charity because the battlefield must be purified before battle by sacrificing the head of the bravest kshatriya. Barbarik obliged and became the greatest Kshatriya alive. That is how Krishna saved the Pandavas from losing the battle.

10.Karna was student of Drona and already friend of Duryodahna in Gurukul He was given education by Drona but denied Brahmastra and thus to get this weapon he went to Parshruama. Duryodhana and Karna were already friends before Rangbhoomi and Rangbhoomi was pre planned. Lord Shiva told to Raja Bhoj- There was a mystic demon named Tripura(Tripurasura), whom I have already burnt to ashes, he has come again by the order of Bali. He has no origin or Ayoni but he achieved a benediction from me. His name is Mahamada(Muhammad) and his deeds are like that of a ghost. Therefore, O king, you should not go to this land of the evil ghost. By my mercy your intelligence will be purified.

He used to consumed only green leaves and thus got the name Parnada. Once while cutting some grass to repair his hermitage the sage cut his finger. But to his suprise instead of blood he saw sap of tree oozing through the cut. Now sage thought that he had become ao pious that instead of blood, sap is oozing through his body. Pride filled in his mind and he started shouting in joy that he is most pious man in this world now.

Lord Shiva who witnessed this event took the guise of an old man and reached the spot. Then the old man asked what is there to be elated in this. It is just a sap. But when trees and plants are burned they turn into ash. Only ash remain in the end and that is surely the higher stage.

To demonstrate it the old man sliced his finger and suddenly ash came out of it. Sage soon realized that it was Lord Shiva and prayed him for forgiveness for his ignorance.

CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons), halons, CH3CCl3 (Methyl chloroform), CCl4 (Carbon tetrachloride), HCFCs (hydro-chlorofluorocarbons), (HBFCs) hydrobromofluorocarbons and methyl bromide are some of the ozone-depleting substances found to have a direct impact on the depletion of the ozone layer.

No, not Pikachu, but pika, or rather Ilia pika (Ochotona iliensis), is a tiny mammal that lives in the Tianshan mountain range and was discovered in 1983. Found in the extremely remote Xinjiang region of China, these animals are only 7–8 inches long and love to live on sloping bare rocks. You can find all 1,000 or so that are left eating grass at high elevations. The number of pika in the world has declinde by a stark 70% since 1983, due largely to climate change that’s forced them higher and higher up into the mountains.

2.Amur Leopard

With only an estimated 60 Amur leopards left in the whole world, this species of wild cat is in extreme danger of going extinct. Amur leopards are fast, topping out at running speeds as fast as 37 miles per hour. Originally living in Russia, China, and Korea, you can now only find them in the Amur River basin in eastern Russia. These cats live in solitude, which makes it rare for them to breed. They have actually doubled in population over the last 10 or so years but are still in grave danger of going extinct.

3.Darwin’s Fox

Found in just two parts of the world, Darwin's fox is named after Charles Darwin, who first discovered the species of fox in 1834. They now live in Chile on the island of Chiloè and in the Nahuelbuta National Park. You’ll find Darwin’s fox out and about between twilight and dawn. Considered an “umbrella species,” which means that keeping them protected will also preserve the rest of the ecosystem, Darwin’s fox faces habitat loss, along with deaths from hunting.

It’s experienced a shocking 99% decline in population since the 1980s, which gives it the uncoveted title of fastest declining bird species. White-rumped vultures are native to the Indian subcontinent and have been on the critically endangered species list since 2000. Their decline is attributed mainly to the introduction of the drug Diclofenac, which is a veterinary non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug frequently found in cow carcasses. When the vultures feed on the cows, they ingest the drug, which causes kidney failure in the birds.

5.The Bornean Orangutan

It’s hard to regenerate a declining population quickly when female Thebornean Orangutan are only able to reproduce every six to eight years. In addition, these Borneo natives are threatened by illegal hunting and by their native forests getting turned into plantations for paper, rubber, and oil palm. This species is now considered critically endangered since the population has dropped by 60% since 1950. Their population is expected to continue to fall and decline by another 22% by 2025.

6.Giant Otter

Gaint Otter are, well, pretty giant. They can be as long as six feet and are the largest otters in the world. Residing only in South America, Giant otters used to be hunted for their pelts, which led to their decline over the years. You can’t hunt them anymore, fortunately, but now they face the threat of their habitats being destroyed. When the rivers and lakes they live in get destroyed, their food supply of fish dies. Though they look pretty cute to us, fishermen in the area tend to think of giant otters as nuisances.

7.Black-footed ferret

These animals, part of the weasel family, are an incredible story of how conservation efforts can, in fact, bring species back from the brink of extinction. In the late 1980s, 18 black-footed ferrets were part of a captive-breeding program designed to increase their population. Now, there are 300–400 Black-Footed Ferret in the wild, all of which are descendants of those 18. They’re still threatened with extinction, since their main force of food, prairie dogs, are also rare, and their natural habitats keep getting destroyed by humans.

The Sumatran Rhinoceros is the smallest sized rhino. It has two horns (the only Asian rhino to have this feature) and lives in small pockets in the mountain forests of Indonesia and Malaysia. Estimates suggest that as many as 100,000 Pangolin are captured every year.

Commissioned in 2013 for a super-yacht and aircraft specialist, who’s identity Rolls-Royce does not divulge.

The Sweptail made its debut as the most expensive new car in the world at the yearly Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event in 2017.
