It's regarding a topic most CEOs never talk about for a variety of reasons. Perhaps the reason is that it is not easy to talk about this topic without running the risk of sounding "too soft." However, I want to talk about it in depth because it is clearly the reason for our enormous success. It is the reason we will continue to be successful and become a billion-dollar company. And, it's the secret to your success in FreeLife® and in life.  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;It's all about the "Love"! Yes, that is the simple secret to our success: love. Love is, without question, the most powerful force in the universe. When love is fully applied, problems seem to vanish, solutions appear, relationships dramatically improve, we become much happier and miraculous things begin to happen in our lives. One of the greatest ways to practice love is by utilizing the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Why? Because it talks about things that are lost, and things that are found.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;It is about a shepherd who loses a sheep, and about a woman who loses a coin.  Mostly, however, it is about a father and a son, about being lost and found, about forgiveness and understanding. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;That's what made me think of Anthony and Donna Gray. Anthony and Donna are two of our pioneers from Australia. They are passionate about FreeLife, and totally dedicated to our mission.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;At the end of our Maui Ambassador Retreat III in June, they received a phone call no parent ever wants to get. They had suddenly and tragically lost their 27-year-old son Nathan. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Anthony wrote of this event:&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;"Not my son, this can't be happening. All my hopes and dreams for him shattered. Although I had experienced loss before, I was not prepared for this.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Then the realization came that I would never see him again... never be able to embrace him or kiss his cheek, the sheer enjoyment of just being around him. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;No grandchildren, nothing... just unanswered questions and so many "if onlys," "what ifs," and "whys" to haunt me.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Yet, within moments of the news, we were surrounded by FreeLife Family. There were tears, hugs, and unbounded understanding. Though Ray and Kevin had already left, they sent for a private car, upgraded our return flight to Australia, and tried to provide as much privacy for us as possible.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;After the funeral, I couldn't do much of anything. I lost all incentive and wondered how I would keep going when the truth was I didn't want to keep going."&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;When Kevin and I heard the news, we felt totally helpless. We called and offered support. As parents, we were keenly aware of the great pain Anthony and Donna were suffering.  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;We waited and watched, and slowly the healing began. Surrounded by their friends and FreeLife Family, they began to move forward. In doing so, they made one important decision. They decided to attend Convention in Dallas. It was a courageous decision that would require them to be in a very public setting, engaging many people. Anthony said of that decision, "I didn't want to go to Dallas, but forced myself in the end."&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;It was there, in Dallas, that I witnessed...&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;One Small Miracle.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;It was at the end of our second day and Mike Zundel was calling for one last testimonial. Suddenly Mike hesitated, and then called into the audience for Anthony and Donna Gray to come forward.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;There was no warning or preparation. Mike told me that their names just came to him, and that he knew it would be difficult for them, but important. As Anthony approached the podium, he said to Mike, "Help me, mate. Help me through this."&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;There, in front of two thousand of their FreeLife Family, they poured out their hearts. And as they spoke, I could see that a great burden was being lifted. Their pain was our pain. Their loss was our loss. It was a time for healing, and a time for moving forward.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;When Anthony and Donna left the stage, they were surrounded by loving hands reaching out to them. Over the next several days, they were amazed at the great number of people who came to them offering love, support, and understanding. Most of these people they had never met. However, they now knew they would never ever be alone.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;As I write this article, Anthony and Donna are in Thailand. They are doing good, serving others. The view is spectacular! Blue ocean, mountains in the background, a breeze gently blowing. The sun is just beginning to rise and a few birds are gently floating over the water. It's Friday morning of our Ambassador Retreat III on this incredible island. Without question, this has been one of the most spectacular weeks of my life, spent with over 500 of our very top Leaders from all around the world!  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;I have several observations regarding our Field Leadership. First, it is clearer to me than ever before that our Leaders are some of the warmest, kindest, and most loving people I have ever had the pleasure of being associated with. Second, these wonderful Leaders are among the top business builders and mission-driven entrepreneurs in the world. And third, we are blessed beyond belief to have attracted such amazing people to our FreeLife Family.  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Our week in Maui is simply too difficult to fully describe unless you were there. The excitement was contagious. The Himalayan Goji Juice stories we heard were life-changing. And through the years, Dr. Mindell has repeatedly and publicly stated that his goal is to close half the hospitals in the United States and save the country $500 billion in medical expenses by teaching others how to stay healthy naturally.  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;But there are many special interests, such as drug companies, that have a vested interest in making sure Dr. Mindell does not succeed in his mission. By using public relations and the media, special interests have, from time to time, unfairly and viciously attacked Dr. Mindell from every conceivable angle. He's been unfairly labeled and defamed. Has this stopped Dr. Mindell in his mission? Not for a second. In fact, it has made him stronger and more resolute in his mission. My hat goes off to Dr. Mindell for not backing off from his dream in the face of potent enemies whose interests are tied to "curing" rather than prevention, who have aligned themselves with large pharmaceutical companies, and who would love to put a stop to him and his mission.  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;For the most part, the media has given a fair and balanced portrait of FreeLife, Himalayan Goji Juice, and the goji berry. Your Business magazine, and others I have mentioned already like the L.A. Times and the more recent Breakthroughs in Health magazine are among them. But recently, a news program in New Zealand ran a segment on the goji berry that was not only inaccurate, but filled with misrepresentations and false innuendoes. It was a pure hatchet job that we believe was driven by a competitor's fear of losing market share as a result of the positive impact that goji is having on people's lives in New Zealand. I can tell you that we are not sitting by idly as such reprehensible distortions of the truth are made. We are aggressively asserting our legal rights against this news station and all others involved in spreading these false rumors.  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;As we continue to grow and educate the world about the benefits of Himalayan Goji Juice, we should expect that other jealous and worried competitors, as well as unscrupulous members of the media, will attempt to portray our Company and our health-giving product in a poor light. Kevin's and my commitment to you is that we will not allow others to distort the truth.
