As part of the Spring '13 lineup, Sonia Kashuk had launched a few new and cute designs of cosmetic bags in various shapes, sizes and prints like floral, tribal, yarn and dots. I was sent a few to try out, so here are some pictures and quick thoughts!

Sonia Kashuk Cosmetic Bag Collection Makeup Organizer ($9.99)

Sonia Kashuk Cosmetic Bag Collection Soft Cosmetic Case ($6.99) - Its small enough to have in your purse for everyday, yet holds quite a bit of daily essentials that you'd always want in your bag like lip balm gloss, eyeliner, compact, hand cream, mints and much more!

Sonia Kashuk Cosmetic Bag Collection Foldover Frame Clutch ($16.99) - I haven't used this one much, but I can tell you that it is very spacious and wide!

Sonia Kashuk Cosmetic Bag Collection Double Zip Foldover ($9.99)

My favorite among these is the Double Zip Foldover (shown above) - Love the double zipper compartments where I can keep my skincare and makeup separately. It folds up to a small case, saving a lot of space - perfect for travel. The prints on these are really cute and although most of them look small, they are very roomy and hold quite a bit of stuff. The bright pop of color detailing on the zipper on some of them is a nice touch. Overall, very affordable, practical and keeps you organized while traveling!

Mally Pro-Tricks Eye Shadow Palette

Mally Beauty's pro-tricks eye shadow palette is a fairly new launch and a qvc-exclusive palette that features six eye shadows, along with a primer, light shade modifier and a dark shade modifier that helps create custom looks. The dark shade modifier is an inky black base and the light shade modifier is a light, shimmery champagne color.

As much as I like the concept behind the dark and light shade modifiers, I do wish that the eyshadows themselves, especially the green and plum shades were a tad less chalky. They are quite pigmented and there isn't much fallout, but the textures aren't so blendable. The palette also includes a fluffy eye shadow blending brush - its nice to have and helps achieve good wash of color. The bases are quite sticky, which is a good thing and that helps the eye shadows adhere to them better. The 'dark shad modifier' is quite a nice concept - I tend to use a lot of black or brown bases for my less pigmented shadows to deepen the color a little more and that it is included in the palette is nice.There's a protective covering for the base that keeps the colors from mixing in.

Overall, I think its tad expensive for the price - the shadows are a good size and the mix of colors are really nice, but I wish they blended a little better. I really like concept of including shade modifiers to deepen, lighten and customize colors, but it would have been better if the textures were a tad more forgiving.

Yes To Grapefruit Daily Facial Scrub ($9.99; Press Sample) is a paraben-fee, gentle, brightening exfoliator. The fresh cirtusy scent is perfect for a lazy morning or even at the end of a long day. It is formulated with Lemon Balm, that helps calm, repair and enhance skin's luminosity.

The scrub has very small granules and a gritty, but runny consistency It foams up quite a bit and isn't too harsh even on my very sensitive skin. I absolutely love the smell - it is fresh, not too overpowering and doesn't linger once washed away. I keep this for use about 3-4 times a week, mostly at night, after I've got all my makeup off with a cleansing balm or oil. It washes away whatever is left behind, leaves absolutely no residue and takes care of exfoliating skin pretty well. I don't think its a very harsh exfoliant, but I definitely would recommend a good moisturizer afterwards. It leaves me feeling fresh, very clean and super bright. If you have dry, dull skin, this one adds a nice glow without stripping skin too much. I also had a couple of trouble spots on my chin and this has helped calm those down to a nice extent.

Overall, I love it - its great for summer, but can be a tad drying in the winter - nothing a good moisturizer can't fix. Although marketed as a Daily Facial Scrub, I would recommend using it only about 3-4 times per week. If your skin seems a little dull and dry, you'll love the quick radiance boost this scrub delivers.

Atopalm Moisturizing Cleansing Wipes

Atopalm is a brand new to me - it focuses on products for dry, sensitive skin. Their products are formulated without harsh dyes and irritants and help with calming and providing relief for dry/sensitive skin.

The Moisturizing Cleansing Wipes ($12.99; Press Samples) are enriched with Vitamin E, Olive and Grapeseed oils to cleanse and soothe skin. Each pack comes with 25 wipes, each one generously sized for face and neck. These aren't terribly saturated, but they do the job effectively and leave behind no sticky residue. There's not much of a scent - just a mild smell that fades pretty quickly. Since these are formulated for sensitive skin, there's absolutely no stinging or burning, even when used around the eyes. They tend to struggle a little with waterproof eye makeup, but everything else comes off clean without much effort. I always tend rinse my face after I use face wipes, but these don't leave a residue, so even if you don't rinse, you won't end up looking like an oil slick. Overall, if you like a lot of fragrance in your wipes or almost, always wear waterproof makeup, you might find the Atopalm wipes a little too mild for your liking. But, if you have sensitive skin, definitely check these out out - they are pretty amazing, cause no redness or irritation and are great to have in your makeup bag for summer!

Laura Mercier Folklore Summer 2013 Collection - Illuminating Eye Color in Earth Glow and Lip Crayon in Burnt Clay

Lip Crayon in Burnt Clay (Limited Edition; $22) is a dark, plummy brown - it isn't the most flattering color on me, but the formula is great. It goes on smooth, is pigmented and feels really creamy and rich. I like that it is a twist up crayon, easy to use and very convenient Burn't Clay isn't my kinda shade (there are a couple of other lighter, more wearable shades in the range) but texture and formula wise, it really is nice! I hope Laura Mercier adds this to the permanent range sometime in the future.

The Illuminating Eye Colour in 'Earth Glow' (Limited Edition; $24), is a gorgeous, rich, dark bronzy brown with a beautiful sheen. The shimmer is super finely milled, hardly visible and the color is a must-have if you like neutral shadows. The design is inspired by the tribal influence of the collection and the formula is smooth, very blendable and creamy or a powder eye shadow. Earth Glow is such an easy color to work with - I just use a fluffy brush for a wash of color all over the lid, smudge on some eyeliner and a couple of coats of mascara. The lack of shimmer makes it look amazing on the crease as well. Over a primer, it wore a good 8 hours with very minimal fading or creasing. There's hardly any fallout and the quality is just excellent. I can never have too many brown eye shadows and this is something that I'll get a ton of use out of.

L'Occitane Almond Foot Care

L'Occitane's Almond range has some of my favorite products, with the Shower Oil being a must have product for my dry skin in winter. Its a pricey range, but the products deliver in terms of quality. The Almond Foot Care ($16; Limited Edition; Press Sample) is a light, daily foot cream and a new addition to the Amande family.

The tube is a rather small, 1.7oz size and the cream has a light texture which makes it perfect for during the day. It isn't heavy or greasy and absorbs completely within a few minutes, leaving an almost invisible finish. It doesn't smell a whole lot minty or medicinal like a lot of foot creams - I get a faint whiff of mint, but its mostly a pleasant fragrance for a foot cream. I like this when my feet isn't terribly dry since it is quite light and very refreshing It isn't a miracle cure for calluses or dry skin, but a great cream for the summer when you just want to maintain with something that isn't a too greasy or leaves a slippery residue. I wish there was a little more product in there for the price, but I use it more during the day and a much more heavy duty one in the night, so the small tube should last a while. If you are looking to switch over to a lighter foot cream for summer, this is a great one to look into!

Zoya Stunning Summer 2013 Collection - Review, Photos & Swatches

Zoya's Summer 2013 Collection ($8 each; Press Sample) is a two part collection featuring Stunning - six bright cremes and Irresistible - metallic, shimmery foils. Featured in this post are swatches of the Stunning Collection, I'll swatch Irresistible in another post. Formula wise, these cremes were smooth & easy to work with and most of them were quite opaque with just one coat. The colors are bright, beautiful & perfect for summer. *some pics have been tweaked to show the actual color of the polish, hence skintones may vary.

Micky - Hot pink, but not quite neon. Love it on my toes more than my fingers though.

Yana - Bright Pink with red undertones. I can see how well this would work with most skin tones.

Rocky - Blue Creme - not too bright, but not very dull either. Its a nice summery blue. Would look better on lighter skin tones.

Darcy - My favorite from the Stunning Collection. A bright, happy yellow!

Josie - Grassy Green, very opaque and glossy! It is much brighter and more of a vivid green than some other Zoya greens. See comparisons with Bevin and Wednesday below.

* I've typed Micky instead of Rocky by mistake in the above nail swatch.

Thandie - Citrus Orange with a gel like finish. It is a much more wearable version of Arizona from Zoya's last summer collection. See comparisons below. Thandie is much more flattering on me than Arizona and leans more coral.

Overall, if you like creme finishes, you'll love this fabulous collection by Zoya! All these colors make for amazing summer pedicure shades too. My favorites from the Stunning Collection are Darcy, Thandie and Micky!

Guerlain Maxi Shine Gloss d'Enfer Lip Gloss in Bubble Gum

Guerlain's new Maxi Shine Gloss d'Enfer Lip Gloss ($30) is a new launch from the brand that comes in 20 amazing shades. Most glosses are shimmery and have a good dose of glitter with a few cremes thrown into the mix.

Bubble Gum is a slightly bright pink with gold sparkles. Perfect name for the gloss and Bubble Gum is just the right, girly pink for summer. The shimmer isn't chunky and mixes well with the texture of the gloss to add lots of shine. As for the color, I think it is a pink anyone call pull off easily and would work on most skin tones It is a tad sheer, but the intensity is very buildable. It is a smooth gloss and doesn't feel one bit sticky. The applicator is a slightly slanted, sponge applicator that is awesome for glosses like these. These are supposed to plump lips up slightly, but that effect is extremely subtle - the finish is really glossy which makes lips look slightly more plump.There's a slight hint of a floral fragrance, but that goes away within seconds of application. Just like the new Dior Addict Gloss, this one too is very moisturizing and wears for about 2-3 hours on me before it is completely gone.

Overall, great texture, amazing shades, average staying power and a super nice formula. It is pricey, but the color range seems very wearable for the most part, so I'm sure I won't stash it at the back of my drawer. By the look of Bubble Gum in the tube, I was wondering if it was a little too pink for my liking, but on my pigmented lips, it is a rather nice, natural pink!

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure (Re-formulated & New Shades)

Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure ($7.99; Press Samples) range was re-formulated early this year and the new line features a 7-in-one formula with gel-like shine and better chip resistance. The Complete Salon Manicure range doesn't need a top or base coat, but I always start with a base coat to even out nails a bit. As for the formula, it is super easy to work with and very smooth - no steaks, bubbling or goopy texture. All swatches are two coats of polish.

Punch Drunk - Fuchsia with a creme finish. Lovely color for summer through fall!

Mudslide - Nude creme with a hint of peach. Perfect work appropriate polish.

Black and Blue - Blue/Purple duo chrome, flashes green in certain angles. My camera doesn't do justice to the color in the bottle. The duo chrome is much more evident in the swatch.

Plums The Word - Dark Plummy Grey. Murky color in the bottle, turns up so much darker on the nails.

Snow Globe - Gorgeous in the bottle and on the nails! Multicolored small and chunky hexagonal glitter in a clear base. One coat doesn't deposit a lot of glitter, 2 or 3 is perfect!

Copper Penny - Copper flecks in a clear base. The glitter is not chunky and makes for an amazing topping for any opaque, creme polish.

Debut-tint - Gold foil/shimmer in a white-ish base. This one looks better over another polish than by itself. Adds a lot of sparkle and shine!

Jaded - Light sage green. Jaded was very thin, consistency wise and the polish needs 3 coats to look like it does in the bottle.

Pink A Card - Light Creme pink. Not a very unique color, but fantastic as a base because of the opacity.

I wore Copper Penny over Pink A Card last week and loved the combo. My only problem with these polishes is the brush - that wide, big brush is too big for my smaller nails. There was just slight chipping after 3 days & I had used no topcoat. There's a lot of shine too, but it dulls down just a tad after a day or so. Overall, great polishes and the lasting power especially is pretty impressive!

The 5 Product Face

I've been intrigued by the very, many "5 product face" tags, videos and posts, so I decided to do one on myself. It wasn't the most easiest - I almost, always use more than 5 products and way more if brushes are included and my skin is nowhere near perfect.

I just chose the basics this time - a good foundation, preferably lightweight & something that will double up as a concealer under the eyes. I went with Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in 40 Beige. Skipped corrector/concealer and used a light layer of foundation under the eyes. A good mascara and eyeliner, preferably black. I smudged the Urban Decay Glide on 24/7 Eye Pencil in Zero on the lash line and applied on the waterline, followed by a couple of coats of the Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Mascara in Blackest Black. Used Becca Beach Tint in Watermelon on Cheeks and Lips. Personally, I don't like the Beach Tints on my lips that much, but it works in a pinch. Love it as a cheek stain though. Filled in my brows using the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ebony. My products change all the time depending upon how much color I want on my lips - I wanted something absolutely natural this time. I would even skip blush, but never, ever skip eyeliner & mascara!

Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo

Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo ($23) is a weekly detox shampoo that gets rid of product buildup, dirt and residue. Like most detox shampoos, Sunday Shampoo is to be used once a week and also recommended prior to any deep condition treatments to help the product penetrate better.

My hair, naturally is frizzy and even the slightest bit product build up makes my roots look like an oily mess. I was using the Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo as my weekly clarifying shampoo until recently when it started to leave my scalp a little too dry. I do like the Sunday Shampoo a little more - it isn't as drying and gets rid of all the gunk! I love the packaging, it is super convenient in the shower. The shampoo itself is more like a thick gel, light blue in color and you only need a teeny tiny bit to get the job done. I like the clean smell and it doesn't linger around after rinsing off. It lathers up pretty well and washes off squeaky clean. Be warned though, even if you have a terribly oily scalp, I wouldn't recommend this more than once a week. Its better to switch up your regular shampoo, especially if you use sulfate-free which can leave a little more of a residue, than to use this more than once a week. I always follow up with a conditioner after Sunday Shampoo as my hair gets super frizzy.

Overall, if you are looking for a good clarifying shampoo, something that gets rid of product buildup effectively, this definitely is worth a pick up. If you are a hair product junkie, or your roots tend to get oily even with the slightest bit of product on, your hair will love this as a weekly detox treatment! Pricey, but works so damn well.

Breuchaud gave a subtle nod to the event’s punk theme by creating a bold, “electric blue” smoky eye to complement Anne Hathaway’s flawless, porcelain skin.

FLAWLESS FACE: A flawless, “clean” face was the perfect canvas for the look

Breuchaud first applied Laura Mercier Foundation Primer ($32), to give Hathaway’s skin an “even, lasting finish.”
Then, he used a damp sponge to apply Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Porcelain ($43) to even out her skin tone and give the skin an “amazingly sheer veil of color.”
Lastly, he lightly dusted on Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($22) to set the Tinted Moisturizer and ensure the skin kept its “dewy finish” throughout the night.

EYES: Breuchaud went with a “bold smoky” eye to pay homage to the “punk” theme

First, Breuchaud mixed Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Orchid ($24) with Laura Mercier Matte Eye Colour in Deep Night ($23).
In order to deepen the look, he applied Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liner in Noir ($22) to her lash line and blended the eye liner throughout the corner of her eye using the Laura Mercier Corner Eye Colour Brush ($25).
Breuchaud added the final touch of glamour by applying multiple coats of Laura Mercier Faux Lash Mascara in Black ($24) to the top and bottom lashes.

Makeup artist Matin Maulawizada drew inspiration from Danes’ “beautifully textured long black dress.” The dress was “elegant, but had a very modern twist,” which he wanted the makeup look to reflect. He was also inspired by the “punk” theme of the evening, stating, “I wanted to bring in inspiration from the punk era and make it into a beautiful version fit for the red carpet.”

EYES: Black-rimmed eyes with a pop of pink

First, Maulawizada applied Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye Liner in Black Ebony ($23) in between Danes’ lashes and then lined them using Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Liner in Black ($22) to achieve the “black rimmed” effect. To keep the shape more “punk,” he followed her natural rim line.
Next, he applied Laura Mercier Matte Eye Colour in Black Plum ($23) all over the eyelid to give it a “smoky” feel. He then appliedLaura Mercier Baked Eye Colour in Rubellite ($23) to give Danes’ an “early 80’s pop of color.”
Maulawizada added the final touch of glamour by applying multiple coats of Laura Mercier Waterproof Mascara in Black ($20)to the top and bottom lashes.

· First, Maulawizada applied Laura Mercier Repair Eye Serum ($80) underneath the eyes and on the cheekbones and then appliedLaura Mercier Mega Moisturizer Crème SPF 15 in Normal/Combination Skin ($50) all over the face. Next, he massaged the face usingLaura Mercier Foundation Primer ($32) (this happens to be Danes’ favorite part of the make application process!).

· He next applied Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Nude ($43) and followed with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact SPF 20 in Nude ($45) for added coverage.

· Using the Bronzer Veil from the Laura Mercier Bonne Mine Healthy Glow for Face & Cheeks Crème Colour Palette ($48), he contoured her cheeks and blended the color underneath Danes’ chin to even out her “sun-kissed” skin from the weekend.

· Next, he used Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC-3 ($30) to conceal any small imperfections.

Maulawizada then applied Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Rosebud ($24) to the apples of Danes’ cheeks.

· Lastly, he lightly dusted Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in Translucent ($35) to set her makeup, ensuring she looked flawless all night long.

LIPS: Soft Lips

· Maulawizada applied Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Pink Blush ($26) to Danes’ lips.

Look by Mai Quynh for Laura Mercier

Makeup artist Mai Quynh created a Siouxsie and the Banshees/punk-rock-inspired look for Goodwin, who according to Quynh, “loves wearing edgy makeup.” She stated, “Ginny loves to play up her eyes and wear fun makeup. She’s never afraid of colour or going too bold, and lets me have fun and be daring with her looks.”

EYES: Quynh gave Goodwin “heavy, dark eyes” to complement the black leather trim of her floor-length, mixed-metal Tory Burch dress

Quynh used Laura Mercier Matte Eye Shadow in Noir ($23) to create Goodwin’s bold eye look. She applied it to her lashline, winged it out then connected it to her eyebrow – filling in the shape completely.
Quynh then layered Laura Mercier Sequin Eye Colour in Black Ice ($23) over the lid, along the lashline and under the eyebrows, blending all together.
Using the Laura Mercier Finishing Eye Brush ($32), she applied Laura Mercier Sateen Eye Colour in Seashell Pink ($23) and blended it all over Goodwin’s lid, over the Laura Mercier Sequin Eye Colour in Black Ice, creating a gradual light to dark effect.
After applying individual faux eyelashes, Quynh added a few coats of Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara in Black ($24) to her top lashes.
Lastly, she rimmed her eyes using Laura Mercier Kohl Eye Pencil in Black Violet ($20).

FLAWLESS FACE: Goodwin’s skin was radiant with a healthy glow

Quynh first applied Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Nude ($43) all over Goodwin’s skin.
Next, she used Laura Mercier Undercover Pot #2 ($34) to conceal any imperfections.
She then applied Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Oleander ($24) to apples of Goodwin’s cheek and set the look usingLaura Mercier Pressed Powder in Translucent ($32).
To add the final touch to her glowing skin, Quynh applied Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Lotus Pink ($24) onto Goodwin’s cheeks to help the colour shine through, and ensure her look would be long-lasting.

Lancome Hypnose Star Show Stopping Volume Mascara

The Hypnose Star Show Stopping Volume Mascara ($28; Press Sample), launched in the fall of last year, is now a part of Lancome's permanent line. The wand is two sided - the flat sides helps load mascara onto lashes and the oblique side helps curl, lengthen and separate. The slightly rounded end helps grab tiny lashes, especially on the inner corners.

The packaging is a tad bulky but the sparkly gradient is a nice touch to the plain black tube. I wasn't a fan of Hypnose Star the first few times I used it - it was a dry formula, a little difficult to work with. With use though, it gets much, much better and becomes more wet and easy to work with. As for the brush, I quite like how it pulls even the tiniest of lashes and fans them out beautifully. I do find this to be a little more of a lengthening mascara than volumizing. The flat side of the brush does a fabulous job of adding quite a bit of length, without the clump. It separates pretty well and holds curl beautifully in place. I wish it was a tad more volumizing - my lashes are puny and volume is my first priority. But if you have pretty decent lashes already, this is perfect to enhance them without looking like you've loaded a ton of mascara!

Hypnose Star isn't waterproof and washes off pretty well. It is quite pricey considering how mascaras need to be replaced every 3 months or so. Like me, you may not like Hypnose Star for the first few times you try it out, but be patient as the formula tends to get better and better with use and much easier to work with. It doesn't make my lashes crunchy or stiff even after a couple of coats and I love the very natural look it delivers! Lancome has come out with a waterproof version of this mascara as part of the Summer'13 collection, but more on that in a later post!

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie - Lipstick, Lip Liner & Lip Gloss

bareMinerals has just launched a few new exciting colors for summer as part of their Marvelous Moxie Lips lineup! The range includes Lipsticks, Lip Liners and Glosses that can be paired perfectly to create a beautiful custom lip. The Lipsticks pack a ton of pigment, have a creme finish with a buttery smooth texture and come in 18 shades. The lip liners come in 10 shades of pinks, reds and nudes. The lip glosses have medium to sheer coverage and come in 14, very wearable shades!

marvelous MOXIE Lipstick ($18)

These are full coverage lipsticks with a smooth, creamy formula. I do find full coverage lipsticks a tad difficult to work with directly from the tube, so I prefer to sheer the color out with a brush. If you love fully pigmented lipsticks,with saturated color, you'll absolutely love these. The packaging is really cool - just press the button and slide the lipstick out! As for the finish, the colors I tried on had a semi-matte, satin finish so they stayed on for about 4-5 hours, leaving behind a lovely stain with no dryness.

marvelous MOXIE Lip Liners ($15)

The liners are just as saturated as the lipsticks and although a little dry initially, they warm up with use and go on creamy. The formula is lovely - they lock color in so well and don't budge. They are not drying when used under a gloss, but I would recommend a dab of lip balm underneath when using these with matte or satin finish lipsticks.

marvelous MOXIE Lip Gloss ($18)

The Lipglosses are my absolute favorite. The color range is pretty nice, very wearable and the formula is amazing. These aren't very new to the bareMinerals line - I've tried a couple of colors before. Both the lipstick and the gloss have a minty smell which is not my favorite. Despite that, I love this gloss. It is moderately sticky and the colors have sheer-medium coverage, so they're perfect to be used over a lipstick. There's a subtle plumping effect, a slight tingle and loads of shine. The curved wand is perfect to precisely line without too much product wastage! My favorite combo is what I have on below - line with the Energized Lip Liner, apply a little Light It Up Lipstick with a lip brush and top it off with Trail Blazer Lip Gloss to sheer the color out a bit and you have a perfectly wearable coral lip! Overall, I think they have a little something for everyone, but if you like bright, saturated lip colors, you'll love this super fun lineup of Moxie lip products quite a lot!

NYC New York Color Applelicious Lip Balm

Just a quick review of the New York Color Appleicious Glossy Lip Balm ($2.99; Press Samples), launched back in January as part of the brand's spring lineup! The balm itself has a nice tint and the apple core moisturizes with a hint of shine. These come in ten shades ranging from reds & pinks to nude browns!

The packaging is like a regular, twist up tube - pretty sturdy for the price. The colors are mostly shimmery, the lighter ones a tad frostier than the darker shades that seem more wearable on my skintone. The moisture core adds a touch of shine and a little bit of glossiness too that wears off sooner than the color does, after about 2 hours. I only needed a swipe for the darker colors to show up and the shimmer isn't very obvious once on the lips. The lighter shades though have quite obviously chunky shimmer. Now, these are a lip balm, but they are neither too moisturizing, nor drying. I find them to be good this time of the year and they would definitely wear better over another lip balm in the winter.

If you have very dry lips, try to stick with the pinks or anything with a little more color as there's not much shimmer to emphasize dryness. As for the scent, there's a slight fruity scent that doesn't bother me much and fades pretty quickly. Overall, its a nice little budget buy, good to toss into your bag for a quick wash of color!

Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Color in Pink Rose

Bobbi Brown's newest launch, the Sheer Lip Color ($25) promises an effortless wash of color with nourishing shine. The lip color, infused with luxurious butters and oils, claims to improve the condition of lips with wear.

"Pink Rose" is a gorgeous, raspberry pink with no hint of shimmer/glitter. The color is neither sheer nor glossy - the pigmentation is right in between that of a full coverage lipstick and a sheer balm. From the description of it, I was expecting more of a translucent looking lip color with a glossy finish. The texture is super creamy, the lip color glides on effortlessly even on very dry lips and doesn't enhance the dry, flaky bits. Pink Rose especially is a beautiful pink for medium/dark skintones. The color looks more like a stain with very less shine (almost semi matte) that fades away completely as the day goes by, leaving behind a wash of pink. And it definitely is not a formula that leaves your lips begging for more lip balm/chapstick after the lipstick wears off.

Let's just ignore the white cast on my chin! I'm trying out a new TM that left a wacky, ashy residue!! :|

The packaging, like everything else from Bobbi Brown is simple, sturdy and classy. There's absolutely no scent or flavor, which is the best part of Bobbi Brown lipsticks! If you are looking for an effortless, easy lippie to throw into your bag or something that adds a natural looking stain without drying lips out, you'll love these. Pink Rose wore about 3-4 hours on me and the color stayed much longer than the sheen. I was a tad dissapointed by the flat, matte-ish finish - would have loved it if it was a little more glossy! It is not sheer lip color by any means, rather a very luxurious, creamy, ultra nourishing lipstick!

Burt's Bees | Top 5 Favorite Products

I love But's Bees since they have some amazing products at super affordable prices with a nice ingredients list! Its just so difficult to narrow down to the top 5, but if I had to choose from the very, many products they have, these are my top picks!

Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream ($6) - It is one of the very first products I tried from Burt's Bees, along with the lip balm and have bought quite a few tins since then! I love the fresh lemon scent which is pretty addictive and the natural ingredients list!

Tinted Lip Balms ($7) - One of my favorite, swipe and go products that I always have in my bag! I love how they have ventured more into colors, with the recent addition of lip shines and the 100% natural lip gloss. These aren't vegan though, as some of them contain carmine as a color additive. Check this video out to see how celebrity make-up artist Katey Denno helps beauty bloggers choose their perfect color! I'm sure these are becoming a quick favorite! I love the concept of color with more natural ingredients - they might not be the most long lasting, but definitely moisturizing! Have you tried these lip balms yet?

Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Face Cream ($15) - I'm not a big fan of the heavy moisturizers Burt's does, but this one is an exception. It is light, mildly fragranced, perfect for my sensitive skin and great for summer! The sensitive range in general is pretty neat, but this one is a stand out!

Honey & Shea Conditioning Body Bar ($5) - I love my body washes too much and don't venture much into soaps most of the time, as they tend to dry me out, but I love this one with Shea from Burt's Bees. It doesn't lather so much, but it definitely is a good one to have for switching up your shower routine.

Richly Replenishing Cocoa & Cupuaçu Butters Body Lotion ($8) - Lastly, something I never thought I'd like so much, but ended up loving instead. Its not a fancy body butter or lotion - in fact, it smells pretty meh, but it does the job so well leaving behind zero residue or tackiness. If you don't like tacky moisturizers, this is a good one to start with!

Laura Mercier's Ambre Vanillé Eau Gourmande ($50 ; Press Sample) is one of the few new additions to the very luxurious Ambre Vanille Bath & Body care range. The Ambre Vanillé Eau Gourmande blends two of Laura's favorite notes - "the soft sensuality of Amber & the warm comfort of Vanilla to create a fragrance of feminine elegance and sophistication!"

The Ambre Vanillé range also includes a Creme Body Wash, a Body Butter and a Hand Creme so the fragrance can be layered for long lasting goodness. The Eau Gourmande itself is pretty long lasting on me - I can get a hint of the Vanilla even the next day! Ambre Vanillé is a rather rich, sophisticated scent, very sweet and comforting with just a hint of floral. The creamy vanilla blended with sensual amber, notes of brown sugar and coconuts makes it the most luxurious vanilla based scent that I have ever tried. I was absolutely in love from the very first spritz! Normally, I would prefer such scents more in the fall than in the spring or summer, but this definitely is an exception that I would wear year round. Overall, absolutely love it - an amaizng gourmand fragrance that makes me crave something sweet and delicious. If you like sophisticated, feminine, rich and creamy vanilla based scents, you'll love Ambre Vanillé!

L'Ete Papillon de Chanel Summer 2013 Collection - Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lip Shine in Pygmalion

Pygmalion ($34) is one of two limited-edition Rouge Coco Shines, part of the L'Ete Papillon de Chanel Summer 2013 Makeup Collection. Pygmalion, looks like a bright, coral red in the tube, but goes on a little more pink on my lips. The color looks juicy & fresh with just the right hint of color for a sheer lipstick.

The packaging is simple, yet gorgeous. There's a slight hint of a floral scent from the lipstick that dissipates quickly. As for the color, Pygmalion is just my kinda color - I would wear it all through the year since it is just so effortless and easy. I don't have a problem with the sheerness of it either. In fact, I prefer sheer, glossy lipsticks over full coverage lipsticks any day. The formula is neither too hydrating, nor drying. I have pretty dry lips to start with and since there's a certain slip to the lipstick, I skipped a lip balm, but it did cling onto certain dry areas of my lips, so I'd recommend exfoliating well before. Like with any other sheer lipstick/lip shine, I got just over a couple of hours wear from this one. Although sheer, I was surprised to see that Pygmalion left behind a soft stain on my pigmented lips.

Pygmalion may not be the most unique color out there (see comparisons below), but it sure is gorgeous. I love the light weight feel and the comfortable texture of this one. It is limited edition and definitely worth a pick up from the collection!

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Plum Jam

"A super moisturizing lip crayon that glides on effortlessly and wraps lips in a luscious wash of creamy color."

Soap & Glory's newest launch is their Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick ($16; Press Sample), a twist up chubby crayon that comes in three shades with a lovely vanilla flavor I tried out Plum Jam, that looks like a rather deep berry and goes on like a much sheer pink tint on the lips. It is formulated without any Parabens or Pthalates and claims to plump and moisturize without the tingle.

The texture is smooth, creamy and you need a good 3-4 swipes to get moderate color payoff. I'm not complaining since these are described to be sheer and glossy. And yes, they are quite glossy initially and that turns into a sheen after about an hour or so. I like the texture, the super yummy scent and how very comfortable it wears without drying lips out one bit, but I do wish it was a tad cheaper, price-wise - something around the $10 - $12 mark would have been perfect, don't you think? As for the plumping effect, there is very subtle plumping with zero tingle and absolutely no discomfort. If you have pigmented lips, Plum Jam is a great way to add a subtle wash of color, sans any shimmer or glitter.

Like with most sheer lip products, I get about 2 hours or so from this one and its completely gone after that. On the plus side, it is super moisturizing and feels very balmy with no heavy/waxy feel! Definitely a great product to have for the warmer months ahead!
