I bought four manga books today. They cost me Rs. 150 each but I think they are worth it. These were particularly special because they were adapted and based on the Christian Scriptures and are part of the Manga Messiah series. About two years ago I bought one of the books and gave it to some kids I wanted to share the Gospel with.

Here is a list of 6 email subscriptions that I subscribe to that have interesting and uplifting content.

Let us start the list with 01. ThisDaysThought.org, everyday an e-mail containing "a Christian quotation, Bible verse, and occasional smile, meant to provide inspiration and encouragement in our walk with God" is sent free and without any advertisements.

I like reading the "News that Inspires" from 02. DailyGood.org. They also send out inspirational quotes with interesting news, articles and "and a suggested action that each person can take to make a difference in their own lives and the world around them."

I subscribe to 03. ThoughtForDay from ethought.com, these emails contains "three sections of inspirational and educational thoughts from scripture, including links to various online resources." There are also other inspirational emails options that one can choose from to subscribe.

04. Laugh & Lift.com brings "smiles and encouragement to Christians since 1997". I receive emails containing inspirations and clean jokes.

05. CoolSiteOfTheDay.com is itself a cool site. You may discover cool sites to visit that you may be interested to visit again and use, they also let you rate the website you visit (the website you vote on could win Cool Site of the Year Award) and you can also submit a site that think is cool.

Dharamshala-Himachal Pradesh

I'm in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. I came by train from Pune to Delhi - Jhelum Express (not really express!) and from Delhi to Dharamshala by bus (12½ hrs ride!). This is my second time here - it is very cold... reminds me of my home town, Shillong. I'll upload some pictures later.

I have joined a Seminary (in June) - it has been a long wait since the time I decided to go for such studies. I am now busy with my studies - writing assignments, reading books (trying to read books fast and retain the information is difficult task), using the library facilities in my Seminary. Having chosen English as the preferred language in the EEC, the European Parliament has commissioned a feasibility study in ways of improving efficiency in communications between Government departments. Lost

Here I would like to relay a small incident that happened yesterday (i.e. on the 19th of April) which at the time seemed like a big one.

A few days ago one of our tenants brought their relatives to live with them to attend a local festival. Among the company was a four year old girl. They were from a village that had no proper roads or as many cars as in the city. I haven't met or seen this little girl before or since but was very concerned yesterday when my mum told me that she was lost. She wandered off alone! On top of that she cannot speak the local dailect. The family paniced and went on a search. Other relatives who lived in other localities were notified too and joined the search.

In the afternoon an uncle of her's found her at the local police station. A policeman had found her crying infront of the station and took her in. Since she could not understand all of what was said to her and coundn't remember which way was her home or what locality it was - they kept her there until the uncle came. The policemen were very nice and had bought her some snacks. They handed her over to the uncle, she had been lost only a few hours.

I have never thought of Indian policemen to be sensitive and kind but this challenges me to think different. They are fathers, sons and brothers too...
