More than 100 000 apps are available for iPad

2011-06-30T14:28:00.000-07:00

Launched in April 2010, the iPad, Apple tablet, already has more than 100,000 programs specific to it (versions for use on specific equipment). Remember that the product also runs iPhone applications but in this case, no loss in image quality.

When it came to the market, the tablet was about 3,000 titles dedicated but had the thousands of programs available for the smartphone. Currently, the App Store has more than 420 000 titles. Earlier this year, the store has surpassed 10 billion downloads.

9mm - A GTA on your phone and Android iOS

After seeing the video that follows it is accepted they may think they are seeing a trailer for the next GTA. But this is not true!

To start the game is not Rockstar, but Gameloft, and this despite all the similarities between the two sets of companies.

In this case the game is set in Los Angeles with traditional weapons, drugs, cars and strippers.

In a trailer of the things that stands out is the speed at which some of the things happen, and even one can see a bullet moving in the direction of the camera. This may just be an effect for the trailer, but may indicate the existence of so-called "bullet-time" given to us to know the game Max Paine.

The video also shows a man being handcuffed by the possibility of him to be a main character does not get out police hypothesis.

Anyway, will be available for Android devices and devices iOS.

Ease of use

The closer the Honeycomb one perceives reality. There are very big differences here compared to iOS. If the iOS everything is simple and intuitive, the menus here are already somewhat complex. It is true that those who are already accustomed to the iOS might find too simple, but the reality is that this continues to be one of its strengths, because no one feels able to move one of these tablets.

Now in Honeycomb enter a much more personalized menu with different areas and zones that become somewhat complex especially for those who never touched the system.

I do not know if the tablets Android that I was able to move on that day (Galaxy Tab 10.1 Samsung, Motorola and Asus EEE Transformer Xoom) had already been altered in some way, but the truth is that they all had the Honeycomb and they all had several screens have assets that are accessed with a sliding side of it. The question is, if this situation comes from the factory as well, then why bring a number of screens installed with so little?

Either way, with the data it had, my option is taken and the decision fell on the iPad 2. Not that consider the tablets Android Not bad dream ... to say that! Just that now I recognize that even with limitations, iOS me deserves more consideration.

But let your opinions in the comments. It will be interesting to discuss this subject!

ANDROID VS iOS

Support and Quality

If you can think that the Android platform is advantageous because it is Open Source, disabuse yourself! It is true that there are advantages, particularly in the form of a certain type of software that Apple refuses to let go for their devices.

But then we have the case of malicious software that are programmed and available locally on websites and forums, with unknown contents and may even contain malicious code, which reveal very real problems in Android. In fact even in the official App Store, Google can have control over what is placed there and from time to time news out of applications that are removed from the App Store for complaints. This was a situation that happened just recently with over 10 apps to be removed from the Google Store.

But even outside the domain of visual customization of applications available for Android operating system are problematic with respect to performance, since a system can lead to creep over time.

Apps already produced by reputable companies do not have this software and with the exception of any shortage of hardware optimizations, they must all be running major problems.

In iOS none of the problems above occur, and optimizations are maximums, including leading development teams to consider this as a privileged platform.

However, as already mentioned, there are also limitations imposed by the restrictions of Apple's policies as a form of protection for your hardware. This means that certain types of existing applications for Android, such as the aforementioned apps for customizing the operating system, do not exist for iOS. This turns out to be a good side to ensure the stability and performance, but on the other hand a limitation that will always end up there.

Note however that these applications exist for iOS, only that there are official and must be purchased in Cydia Store, which requires a jailbreak the phone.

In fact one of the great flaws of the IOS is the same failure to support Flash and Java all at least as an option.

Stability and Performance

Both platforms are tremendously stable, and the Honeycomb, the third version of Android, and specifically designed for tablets, tablets Android gained new life.
Already in terms of performance the situation changes a lot of figure. The reason is related to the wide variety of hardware present on the Android platform. This means that depending on the share market to achieve the level of the software may have to be done from below, ie, supporting smaller specifications, which leads the software to suffer. After the lack of optimizations for all kinds of hardware lead to different performances on various platforms.
Is that we think we have a single platform, but that's not quite true since each manufacturer moves not only in hardware but also software in their products often leading to situations of incompatibility or total light that can be reflected in performance .
Interestingly, and due exactly to that point, Google has just announced that will include a table of compatible devices with the various applications available, and this precisely because the hardware incompatibilities which prove what has been said.
/Moreover, the fact that the Android platform being open source means that anyone can produce and release software for tablets that use this operating system. Here, Google can not in any way to control both the quality or stability, or the consequences for the OS (eg in the form of memory leaks, malware, spyware and viruses or even others).
In iOS the hardware is equal in all cases. Software iPAD 2 has the same hardware in all the devices that the security and performance optimization is tremendous. On top of this all is filtered through software from Apple that guarantees that the equipment meets minimum quality standards expected for their products.

Android

2011-06-28T12:48:00.000-07:00

Android is a mobile operating system that runs on the Linux kernel, though as yet developed a structure that is external to the Linux kernel was initially developed by Google and later the Open Handset Alliance, but Google is responsible for product management and engineering processes. Android allows developers to write software in Java programming language controlling the device via libraries developed by Google. There are currently over 100 000 applications available for Android.] The Android operating system consists of 12 million lines of code, including 3 million in XML, 2.8 million lines of C, 2.1 million lines of Java code and 1.75 million lines code in C + +.

To start....

First of all, I will begin by giving an introduction to major differences between the two operating systems Android and IOS.IOS is the mobile operating system from Apple. Originally developed for the iPhone, is also used in iPod Touch, and Apple TV iPad. Apple does not allow the operating system run on third-party hardware. The user interface of IOS is based on the concept of direct manipulation, using multi-touch gestures. The interaction with the OS includes gestures such as tapping the screen just slide the finger, and the movement of "clamp" used to zoom the image. Accelerometers are used internally by some applications to respond to the agitation of the device or run it in three dimensions

The user interface of IOS is based on the concept of direct manipulation, using multi-touch gestures. Interface control elements consist of bars, keys and buttons. The response to user input is immediate and provides a fluid interface. The interaction with the OS includes gestures such as touching and squeezing, which has specific definitions within the context of the IOS operating system and its multi-touch interface.

In iOS, there are four layers of abstraction: the layer Core OS, Core Services layer, the layer media, and the Cocoa Touch layer. The operating system uses approximately 500 megabytes of storage device, which varies for each model.

My passion for technology, led me to create this blog where I can get to know a simple way of new products and applications that are coming out for the smartphone market. I will speak not only of new smarts but there are applications which are more or less important in our daily lives. It will be fun to know about this world that is increasingly more fans, I hope that comment so I can improve tds day. Thanks :)
